Marilyn J. Carlson

Services for Marilyn J. Carlson, 66, of Delano, were Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at Delano Evangelical Free Church.

Mrs. Carlson is survived by husband, Daniel; daughter, Jody (Scott) Drexler; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and sister, Liela (Mike) Hermanson. She was preceded in death by father, Frank Jaeger and brother, Roger Jaeger.

James Daniels

Services for James L. Daniels, 73, of Maple Grove were Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2001, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 20000 County Rd 10, Corcoran.

Private interment was at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Mr. Daniels was preceded in death by parents and wife, Jean.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Hoover Daniels; sons, Michael (Darlene), Steven (Laura) and Christopher Daniels; daughter, Lynn (Stephen) Sandquist; step-son, Michael Hoover and friend Debra Veith; eight grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Daniels; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and special friend, his dog Dolly.

He was a former employee of Liemandt's, and a graduate of William Mitchell College of Law. He was a former Hennepin County Public Defender and attorney in private practice. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and member of A.O.H.

Memorials preferred to Opportunity Partners.

Margaret Spence Larsen

Margaret Spence Larsen, a life-long Osseo resident, died Monday Aug. 20, 2001, at Colonial Acres Golden Valley.

She was born April 20, 1910. in Osseo.

Services were Friday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m. at Osseo United Methodist Church. Burial was in Niggler Cemetery, Osseo.

She graduated from Osseo High School in 1927 and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1931. She was a lifetime member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She worked for the Dayton Company and Strut wear.

She married Robert Larsen on May 27, 1937, in her parents' garden in Osseo. After World War II Mr. Larsen went into the Ford dealership business in Osseo, and Mrs. Larsen raised their family.

Mrs. Larsen was active in the Girl Scouts, Osseo United Methodist Church, Winslow Lewis Lodge of the Eastern Star.

She was a founding force behind the Osseo Book Club, started in 1954 and still active today. She was a 25-year member of the Minneapolis Women's club.

Mrs. Larsen loved her gardens, entertaining, traveling, and most of all her family. The Larsens wintered in Palm Springs, Calif., for more than 30 years, and loved the Cross Lake area, where they have a summer home.

She was preceded in death by her brother John, and parents H.B. and Louise Spence.

Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years Robert Charles Larsen; Twins Susan (David) Brown of Brooklyn Park and Spence of Edina; sister Jane Spence of Osseo; many nieces and nephews and special friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Margaret Spence Larsen Memorial Fund.

Leander Majeski

Services for Leander J. Majeski, 53, of Maple Grove, were Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001 with a Mass of Christian Burial at The Church of St. Columbkille, Wendell.

Burial was at St. Columbkille Cemetery.

Survivors include sons, Jason (Christine) and Dustin; grandchildren, Alexis, Bria and Cassandra; sisters, Delphine King, Josephine Creech, Delores Prokott, Sophia Howard, Lucille Kelly, Mary Acker, brother, Eugene; significant other, Ellie Wheller; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Lorraine B. Palmer

Services for Lorraine B. Palmer, 84, of Buffalo and formerly of Minneapolis, were Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2001, at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

Pastor Edward A. Blair officiated and interment was in Crystal Lake Cemetery in North Minneapolis.

Casket bearers were Robert Purrier, Robbie Purrier, Ralph Harding, Jr., Shaun Harding, Walter Preisler and Lyle Krueger.

Mrs. Palmer died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2001, at the Ebenezer Covenant Home. She was born July 7, 1917 in Minneapolis, the daughter of William H. and Vivian H. (Turnbull) Dollinger.

She was a former long-time secretary of The Boat, Sports and Travel Show.

She is survived by daughter, Sandra (Robert) Purrier of Buffalo; son, Ralph (Judith) Harding, Jr. of Maple Grove; step-children, Lois (Walter) Preisler of Centerville, Beverly (Lyle) Krueger of Forest Lake and Richard (Sandy) Palmer of Calif.; many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, William H. and Vivian Dollinger and husband, Ralph D. Palmer.

Folbert L. Pasenow

Services for Folbert L. Pasenow, 80, of Greenfield, were Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

Pastor Paul R. Settergren officiated and interment was in the Greenwood Methodist Cemetery in Burschville.

Casket bearers were Gordie Thomas, Francis Roehl, Jesse Zitzloff, Larry Zitzloff, Fred Pagenkopf and John Wipprecht. Honorary casket bearers were Harvey Biegert, Jerry Zitzloff, John Zitzloff and John Kettenacker.

Mr. Pasenow died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. He was born May 27, 1921 in Greenwood Township, the son of William and Adeline Jeske Pasenow. Mr. Pasenow and his brother, Leonard, owned their family dairy farm for their entire lives. His great loves were hunting and fishing. There were many deer hunting trips to the Iron Range. He served on the planning commission for Greenfield for seven years.

He is survived by sisters, Lila (Helmut) Wipprecht of Cobalt, Ontario and Luverne Hanson of Glen Carbon, Ill.; brother-in-law, Fred Pagenkopf of Maple Plain; nephews, Fred (Jane) Pagenkopf of Minnetonka and John (Sylvie) Wipprecht of North Bay, Ontario; nieces, Susan (Dieter) Scheunemann of Naughton, Ontario and Mary (Terry) Andrews of Lively, Ontario; many great nieces; great nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by brother, Leonard Pasenow; sister, Eleanor Pagenkopf and brother-in-law, Melvin Hanson.

Lawrence Semelsberger

Services for Lawrence (Larry), 47, of Corcoran, were Monday, Aug. 27, 2001 at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel.

Private interment.

Mr. Semelsberger died Thursday, Aug. 23.

He was preceded by father, Wilfred.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia (Ginny); son, Michael of Sauk Centre; stepchildren, Royce (Jackie) Woller, Melanie, Matt and Andrea Woller; mother, Welda Semelsberger of Pa.; brothers and sisters, Robert, Daniel, and Kenneth Semelsberger, Sandy McConnell, Judy Harris, Virginia Cann, Lynn Tomlin, Babette Mikitko, Belinda Semelsberger, Michael's mother, Grace Martagon, in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Donald Watson

Services for Donald L. Watson, 76, of Maple Grove are today (Wednesday), Aug. 29, 2001, at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave. S., Minneapolis.

Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery.

Mr. Watson was born Sept. 8, 1924.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Corene; children, Rondald (Cheri) Watson, Michael (Judy) Watson, Lynnette (Pat) Maher, Gary Watson, and Sheryl Watson; grandchildren, Tricia (Jeff) Olson, Shelly Watson, Kelly and Sarah Maher, and Bryan and Kevin Watson; and great grandson, Tyler Joseph Olson; sister, Dorothy (Reinny) Rath; and other relatives and friends.

James Gordon

Services for James H. Gordon, 62, formerly of Osseo, were Sunday, Aug. 19, 2001, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, Osseo.

Private family interment was Monday, Aug. 20, at Hillside Cemetery. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association for research.

Mr. Gordon died Friday, Aug. 10, at his home in Scottsdale, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Hedin; father, Clarence; nephew, Bruce; and great-nephew, John Paul Wissler.

Survivors include brothers, Jerald (Geraldine) and Richard; step-brothers, Kevin (Michelle) and Bradley; step-mother, Marilyn; uncle, Alfred (Jean); nieces, Sue (John) Wissler and family, Kim (Tom) Smith and family; and nephew, Tom (Lori) and family.

Victor Carl Koch

Services for Victor Carl Koch, 82, of Waconia were Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia.

Rev. Dean Mahlum and Rev. Peter Peitsch officiated in interment was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Waconia. Casket bearers were grandchildren, Brian and Michelle Koch, Brenda and Mark Wittrock, Bradley Koch, Melissa and Larry Wickenhauser, Angela and Jeremy Solomon and K.C. Koch.

Mr. Koch died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at his home in Waconia. He was born March 12, 1919, in Benton Township to Albert and Anna (Panning) Koch in Benton Township. He was baptized May 12, 1919, by Rev. August Rehwaldt and confirmed April 9, 1933, by Rev. Herman Ament at Zion Lutheran Church in Benton Township.

He married Dorothy Wisneski Nov. 28, 1940, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia. Rev. William Schneider officiated.

Mr. Koch developed many skills in his lifetime, beginning with his education and his graduation from Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. He had several jobs including plowing snow, harvesting ice, repairing farm equipment, driving a milk truck, working at and eventually owning Koch Implement and Koch Bus Service, Inc. and most recently helping out his family and friends with their "projects."

He served on the board of trustees and the building committee at Trinity Lutheran Church. He was also an EMV contact person for many years. He also served as the civil defense director in Waconia and was happy to help his friends and family with anything they needed help with. He volunteered to drive the Trinity church bus for 30 years.

Mr. Koch dearly loved his grandchildren and in their younger years enjoyed teaching them to drive on the country roads, stopping at the Dairy Queen and Sunday dinners out. In his later years he was happy to belong to his card clubs.

Mr. Koch was preceded in death by wife, Dorothy; son, Curt; parents, Albert and Anna Koch; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Katherine Wisneski; four brothers; three sisters and other relatives.

He is survived by son, Ken and daughter-in-law, Ruth Koch of Waconia; daughter-in-law, Judy Koch of Waconia; grandchildren, Brian and Michelle Koch of Waconia, Brenda and Mark Wittrock of Marshall, Bradley Koch of Chaska, Melissa and Larry Wickenhauser of Cologne, Angela and Jeremy Solomon of New Hope and Kenneth (K.C.) Koch of Waconia; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jalen Wittrock, Samuel, Klara and Lucy Koch and Jacob Wickenhauser; sisters and brother-in-law, Vera Schaefer of Osseo, Esther and Lloyd Butterfass of Waverly, sisters-in-law, Sidora Koch of Winsted, Marietta Koch of Winsted, Loretta Koch of Emily; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Thelma Rose

Services for Thelma L. Rose, 96, formerly of Rockford, were Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church, Buffalo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Erving J. Rose in 1985.

Survivors include daughters, Shirley Beier of Osseo, Audrey (Earl) Rux of Rockford and Joanne Faue of Hamel; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; a sister-in-law; and many other relatives and friends.

Gene A. Bouley

Services for Gene A. Bouley, 72, of Champlin, were Thursday, Aug. 9, 2001, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Anoka.

Interment is at Calvary Cemetery in Anoka.

Mr. Bouley is survived by his wife of 46 years, Phyllis; sons, Randy (Linda) and Mike; daughters, Janelle (Tom) Guminga, Michelle, Karla (Don) Pavek; grandchildren, Matt, Art, Kim, Heather, Cody, Sarah, Tessa and Amanda; mother, Irene Bouley; brothers, Duane, Marcel, David, Tom, Don and Douglas; sisters, Bernadette Snyder, Loretta Morrisette, Dorothy Flor, Mary McNeil and Rita Peterson.

Margaret Diem

Services for Margaret Diem, 84 of Delano, were Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at the United Methodist Church in Delano, with Rev. Rebecca Sechrist officiating.

Music was by Karen Otto, organist, and congregational singing.

Pallbearers were Mrs. Diem's grandchildren: Brian and Pam Diem, Kris and Thom Howden, Tim and Toni Diem, and Natalie Diem.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. died Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. She was born in Delano Dec. 9, 1916, the daughter of William and Blanche (Packer) Heinen. She was married to Leonard F. Diem.

Mrs. Diem was a partner and worked in Heinen Hardware in Delano, for more than 50 years. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Delano.

Mrs. Diem was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, her parents William and Blanche Heinen and her brother, Harlan Heinen.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Sylvia Diem of Delano; grandsons, Brian and Pam Diem, and Tim and Toni Diem; granddaughters: Kris and Thom Howden, and Natalie Diem; great grandchildren, Britta Diem, and Ian and Jenna Howden; sisters-in-law, Sister Oliver Diem, Magdalen Dehmer and Olivia Chervenak.

Ted Jefferson

Services for Ted R. Jefferson, 81, of Rogers, formerly of Sparta and La Crosse, Wis., were Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Congregational United Church of Christ, Sparta, Wis., with Rev. Dale Kuck and Rev. Curtis Miller officiating.

Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.

Mr. Jefferson died Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Wellstead of Rogers.

He is survived by wife of 53 years, Lillian (nee Hickey); daughter, Candace Jefferson, Detroit, Mich.; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Nancy Jefferson, Edina; grandchildren, Jennifer, Buffalo; Joshua, Detroit; and Robert Jefferson, Edina; and Kelly St. Jacque, Griffin, Calif.; and great-grandson, Jacob Jefferson, Buffalo.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Bill Jefferson.
