Marilla Wulkow

Services for Marilla F. Wulkow, 91, of Corcoran were conducted Friday June 22, at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel United Methodist Church in Corcoran.

Rev. Marvin E. Repinski officiated at the funeral service and interment followed at the church cemetery.

Casket bearers were Scott Lecy, Randall Lecy, Jerold Lecy, Darrell Esterly, Duane Esterly and Gary Carlson.

Mrs. Wulkow died Monday, June 18, 2001 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

She was born Jan. 7, 1910 in Hanover, the daughter of Gottlieb and Emma Schuler Esterly.

On April 18, 1936 Marilla Esterly and Carl Wulkow were joined in holy marriage at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Corcoran. God blessed their marriage with a daughter Diane. Mr. and Mrs. Wulkow engaged in farming in Corcoran for many years. Carl Wulkow preceded his wife in death in October of 1978.

Mrs. Wulkow was a faithful member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Corcoran. She also belonged to the Golden Maple Leafs Group and a birthday club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl W. Wulkow; daughter Diane B. Lecy in June of 1986; Parents Gottlieb and Emma Esterly, and Brothers Alvah, Clarence, Gilbert, Vernon (her twin ), Paul and Myron Esterly.

Survivors include her son-in-law: Jerold R. (Sherry) Lecy of Rochester; grandchildren: Scott J. Lecy of Stacy and Fiancee Cheryl, Randall A. (Patricia Donnelly) Lecy of Seattle, and Kristin (Eric Hinrichs) Lecy of Anchorage, Alaska; great grandson, Ari Hinrichs; sister-in-law, Delila Esterly of Coon Rapids; 11 nieces and nephews including Janet Tolifson who has cared for Marilla the last 16 months and other relatives and friends.

Terri Seiwert

Services for Terri Lynn Seiwert, 40, of Albertville were Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.

Rev. Paul R. Settergren officiated and interment followed at Gethsemane Lutheran Cemetery in New Hope.

Honorary casket bearers were Kevin Aalderks, Kenneth Aalderks, James Seiwert, Ashley Seiwert, Cameron Seiwert and Sidney Seiwert.

Gary Aalderks, Keith Aalderks, Kent Aalderks, Brian Seiwert, David Seiwert and John Seiwert served as casket bearers.

Marlene Mohwinkel was the organist for the funeral service and Rolf Mohwinkel sang "Amazing Grace-How Sweet the Sound."

Mrs. Seiwert died Friday, June 8, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale following a courageous five-year battle with cancer.

She was born Feb. 28, 1961, in Minneapolis the daughter of John and Wilma Howell Aalderks.

She graduated from Osseo High School in 1979.

Terri Lynn was married to Bradley J. Seiwert Nov. 17, 1979, at the United Methodist Church in Osseo. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Kara and Kasi.

She was formerly employed by J & B Wholesale of St. Michael and currently worked at Safco Products of New Hope. She was also active in the Albertville Lioness Club.

Mrs. Seiwert was an inspiration and devoted friend to all who knew her, from her bingo/casino friends, to her co-workers and to all she touched at the Hubert H. Humphrey Cancer Center. Her strength and determination were unmatched and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Through them her spirit lives on.

She is survived by husband, Brad Seiwert; two daughters, Kara, 21, and Kasi, 18; parents, John and Wilma Aalderks of Osakis; brothers, Gary (Nick) Aalderks of New Hope and Keith Aalderks of Albertville and his fiancee, Sarah Bennett; grandmother, Inez Hassell of Renville; other relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law Joleen Ketterl and grandparents Edgar and Theresa Howell.

Joseph Stoltz

Graveside service and interment for Joseph Stoltz, 70, of Rockford were Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Mr. Stoltz died unexpectedly June 12. He was a loving father, dear friend and avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Vera.

He is survived by daughter, Linda (Steve) Christianson; sons, Joseph (Sher Coonradt), Douglas and Evan (Marybeth) & their mother, Eva; five grandchildren, Heather, Melissa, Steffany, Travis and Gunnar; and many friends, especially Von, Jim and Shirley.

There will be a memorial gathering in Big Lake Saturday, July 7.

Evelyn Margaret Socher

Services for Evelyn Margaret Socher, 75, of Delano, were Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Delano.

Rev. Frank Wampach officiated and interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Delano.

Pallbearers were Gary Theisen, Greg Theisen, Tony Socher, Randy Theisen, Cody Socher and Dan Socher.

Mrs. Socher died Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. She was born Aug. 13, 1925, in Franklin Township, the daughter of Frank and Irene (Speckel) Theisen. She was married to Aloys J. Socher.

Mrs. Socher farmed with her husband for many years. She loved gardening, baking and cooking, and she was absolutely delighted with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by husband, Aloys; great-grandson, Mason Socher; brother, George Theisen; and brother-in-law, Dennis Meehan.

She is survived by sons, David (Marlene), Ron (Joni) and Don (Tonya), all of Delano; grandchildren, Mike, Tony, Tanya, Jaime, Cody, Luke and Dustin; great-granddaughter, Madison; sisters, Lucille (Kasper) Giese and Janette Meehan; brothers, Francis (Sadie) Theisen, Kenny (Delores) Theisen, Robert (Bernice) Theisen, Harold (Carol) Theisen, and Lloyd (Jane) Theisen.

Craig A. Wilen

Services for Craig A. Wilen, 38, of Nampa, Idaho, were Monday, June 18, 2001, at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano.

Interment was in the Delano Public Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donny Carlson, Sam Niska, Mack Muonio, Todd Wilen, Marcus Niska and Mark Williamson.

Mr. Wilen died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at his grandmother's home in Montrose.

He was preceded in death by father, Dave; sons, Perry and Kerry; maternal grandfather, Melvin Niska; and paternal grandfather, Fred Wilen.

He is survived by mother, Evelyn Wilen of Marysville Township; daughter, Yvonne M. Wilen of St. Louis Park; sister, Chonne (Kurt) Carter of Jerome, Idaho; maternal grandmother, Linda Niska of Marysville Township; paternal grandmother, Edna Lehto of Spearfish, S.D.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Herbert H. Burau

Services for Herbert H. Burau, 89, of Green Isle, were Saturday, June 9, 2001, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Green Isle.

Rev. Erwin C. Sprengeler officiated and interment was in Corrina Cemetery in Annandale with Rev. Thomas Queck officiating at the graveside.

Casket bearers were Lyle Schroeder, Sheldon Ittel, Loane Burau, Gerald Burau, Grant Burau, Tim Burau, Lowell Schmidt and James Schmidt.

Mr. Burau died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at the Municipal Hospital in Arlington, Minn. He was born Sept. 10, 1911, in Waconia Township, the son of Henry and Lavina (Burandt) Burau. He was baptized Oct. 8, 1911, and confirmed April 5, 1924, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waconia by Rev. William Schneider.

He married Violet Engelen at Trinity Lutheran Church Dec. 2, 1933. The couple farmed near Delano until 1961 when they moved to Annandale. Mr. Burau moved to Green Isle in 1989 to live with his daughter, Jane Plocher. He enjoyed being with his family and loved to fish and garden.

He is survived by daughter, Jane Plocher of Green Isle; son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Beverly Burau of Delano; grandchildren, Cindy and Lyle Schroeder of Green Isle, Pam and Jeff Byrne of Victoria, Pat and Joe Lemmerman of Delano, Tim and Sara Burau of Watertown and Penny Simmons of Delano; great-grandchildren, Sara, Gabriel, Laura, Chelsea, Charlie, Coloton, Tabitha, Jeremy, Cheyanne and Sabrina; great-great-grandchild, Logan; sister and brother-in-law, Lydia and Melvin Schmidt of New Germany; brother and sisters-in-law, Carl and Lois Burau of Weslaco, Texas, and Winnie Burau of Plymouth; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Esther Ittel of Watertown, Dorothy Engelen of Rockford and Sherman Olson of Waconia; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by wife, Violet; son-in-law, Albert Plocher; parents, Henry and Lavina Burau; sister, Laura Burau; and brothers, Roy, Clarence and Ruben Burau.

Glenna I. Klebe

Services for Glenna I. Klebe, 84, of the Delano Health Care Center, formerly of Minneapolis, were Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer.

Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Klebe is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Margo Klebe of Aurora, Colo., and Lucy and Orlyn Boeshans of Elk River; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Andrea Wruck

Services for Andrea Ericka Wruck, 28, of Rogers, were Saturday, June 16, 2001, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home of Osseo.

Interment was at West Oak Grove Cemetery in Oak Grove, Minn.

Mrs. Wruck died Tuesday, June 12.

She was born May 3, 1973, in Robbinsdale.

She is survived by husband, Daniel; son, Andrew; and daughter, Kailey; brothers, Richard Baker of East Bethel and Daniel Baker of Lakeville; sisters, Stacy West of Houston, Texas, and Kimberly LeVine of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and parents-in-law Richard and Sheila Wruck of Brooklyn Park.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Lee. If so, desired memorials may be given to the Andrea Ericka Wruck memorial fund.

Stephen Baretz

Memorial service for Stephen Baretz, 65, of Maple Grove, was Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Champlin American Legion, 12450 Business Park Blvd., Champlin. A private service and cremation took place June 9 in Milwaukee.

Mr. Baretz died suddenly on June 6, 2001, in Milwaukee.

He was a long time member of the Champlin American Legion, currently serving as Chaplain. He was recently elected as first vice commander of the Am Vets.

He was preceded in death by parents, Benjamin and Sylvia.

Mr. Baretz is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ellen; children, Brett, Douglas (Amy), Laurel (Randy) Vevle, and Alison; grandchildren, Lance and Nicole; brother, Chuck; step-brother, Jerry.

Memorials preferred to Champlin American Legion (427-6870) or to the family.

Jerry Bennett

Services for Jerry K. Bennett, 70, of Anoka/Brooklyn Park, were Thursday, June 7, 2001, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, with Rev. Norman R. Berg officiating.

Burial was in Champlin Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Brianna Sander, Ryan Bennett, Terry Hesli, Todd Hesli, Troy Hesli and Matt Wawrzyniak.

Mr. Bennett was born the son of Robinson and Pearl (Haven) Bennett Jan. 9, 1931 in Minneapolis. He died Saturday, June 2, in Hill City.

He was an energy management specialist at the Anoka Electric-Cooperative and a member of the A Club. He was an avid outdoorsmen.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine B. (Hesli) Bennett; children, Becky and William Sander of Osseo; Bruce and Kathy of Dayton; Brian and Debbie of Vovland; grandchildren, Ryan Bennett and wife Crystal, Ramie Bennett, Blair and Brianna Sander, Jenny and Matt Wawrzyniak; great-granddaughter, Kylie Bennett.

Carol Bostrom

Services for Carol A. (Felling) Bostrom, 51, of Plymouth were Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Holy Name Lutheran Church, 3900 Winnetka Ave. N.

Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Mrs. Bostrom died peacefully of liver cancer Tuesday, June 5. She was an elementary school teacher for Osseo Dist. 279 schools since 1974.

She was preceded in death by her mother Lorraine Felling.

Survivors include her husband, Chris and son Erik; father, Bernard Felling; brothers, Ken (Dollie) Felling, Don (Jean) Felling, and Chuck (Karen) Felling; and sister, Barb (Gary) Berosik.

Memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society.

Mary Beth Eichenberger

Services for Mary Beth Eichenberger, 46, of Maple Grove were Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Maple Grove.

Interment was in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Mrs. Eichenberger died June 8 after a courageous 10-year battle with breast cancer. She was born July 27, 1954, in San Marcos, Texas, to Paul and Darlene (Kuykendall) Mathieu. She was an account manager with Avnet Applied Computing. She was an active member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church, participating in the choir and assisting with communion. She enjoyed cooking, golfing and fishing, and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Mathieu.

Mrs. Eichenberger is survived by husband, Tom; children, Jim and Jackie; father, Paul Mathieu and his wife, Bonnie; brother, Steve Mathieu; and other relatives and friends.
