Helen Margaret Wilson

Services for Helen Margaret Wilson, 65, were Monday, May 20, 2002, at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Blaine.

Rev. George Kolath officiated and interment was in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Loretto.

Pallbearers were Lisa Maxfield, Daniel Maxfield, Scott Maxfield, Melinda Maxfield, Teresa Andreason, Michael Eull, Adam Maxfield, Lee Maxfield, Matthew Opat and Joshua Andreason.

Mrs. Wilson died at her home in Mounds View Wednesday, May 15. She was born Dec. 28, 1936, to Alex and Agnes (Klaers) Schumacher in Minneapolis.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Fridley American Legion Post 303. She was a faithful supporter of the Irondale Knights, especially her grandson's hockey team. She graduated from Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Loretto and St. Michael High School in St. Michael. She served her faith as a Steven Minister at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in Blaine.

She was preceded in death by husband, Robert C. Wilson and father, Alex Schumacher. She is survived by son, Michael Eull; daughters, Lisa Maxfield and Sharon Conklin; seven grandchildren; mother, Agnes Schumacher; sister, Rosemary (Roy) Spurzem and brothers, Ed (Mary) Schumacher and Leon (Rose) Schumacher.

Robert Allen

Services for Robert H. (Hummel) Allen, 67, of Maple Grove, were Friday, May 10, 2002, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Osseo; a reception followed at Sundance Golf & Bowl in Maple Grove.

Mr. Allen died Monday, May 6, 2002. He was born in Rice Lake, Wis., Nov. 5, 1934. He enjoyed bowling and fishing and was one of the original seven of Cray Research, Inc. in Chippewa Falls, Wis. He also organized the Hallie Hockey Association and owned Sundance Golf & Bowl in Maple Grove.

He is survived by his wife, Marion; children, Karin (Tom) Pettis of Augusta, Wis., Jody Allen of Champlin, Matthew Allen of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Brian Allen of Minneapolis; sisters, Carole (Charles) Montemayor of Guantajuanto, Mexico, and Cheryl (Daryl) Molitor of Dallas; five grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Hummel and parents, Helen and Edwin Allen.

Vera Aubart

Services for Vera Aubart, 81, of Sedan, formerly of Osseo, were Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Glenwood.

Burial was in the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery, Osseo.

She died Friday, May 10.

Mrs. Aubart was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; parents; and brother, Glenn.

Survivors include her children, Elaine Barthel of Big Lake, Larry (Karen) of Starbuck, Joe (Sue) of Sedan, John (Kathy) of Sedan; 11 grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Pearl) Schreiber of Litchfield, Joe (Donna) of Crystal; and sister, Dort Lofstrom of Brainerd.

Roman Becker

Services for Roman J. Becker, 73, of St. Michael were Friday, May 10, 2002, at St. Michael Catholic Church.

Mr. Becker is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children, Connie Mudge, Sharon (Greg) Zachman, Mike (Trudy) Becker, Diane (Scott) Johnson, Jane (Dan) Lynch, Carol (Neville) Goodwin, Mark (Linda) Becker, Bruce Becker, Alice (Lowell) Engstrom, Ramona (Tim) Belchak and Tim (Colleen) Becker; 39 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother and sisters, Harold (Margaret) Becker, Sr. Anne Becker, SSND, Helen Mae (Dan) Wambeke and Dorthy (Glen) Daleiden; many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, LeAnn; a granddaughter, Heidi Becker; parents, Henry and Anna Becker; and brothers, Victor, Leander, Wilfred and Clemens Becker.

Stella Beightol

Services for Stella Beightol, 89, formerly of Ferry Apartments in Anoka, were Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

Rev. Lyndon Nygaard officiated and interment followed at the Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.

Marlene Mohwinkel was the organist for the funeral service and Rolf Mohwinkel sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art."

Gene Beightol Jr., Trevor Swanson and Jordan Day served as honorary casket bearers. Brian Peterson, Ryan Beightol, Perry Rux, Robert Day Jr., Michael Day and Rick Beightol served as casket bearers.

Stella C. Beightol died Sunday, May 5, 2002, at the Long Lake Nursing Home.

She was born Nov. 22, 1912, in Gary, Minn., the daughter of Gunder and Amanda Amundson Erstad. On Feb. 14, 1929, Stella C. Erstad and Ford Ernest Beightol were joined in holy marriage in Ada, Minn. Mr. Beightol preceded his wife in death in 1976.

Mrs. Beightol worked in housekeeping at Unity Hospital for many years.

She is survived by children, Dale (Betty) Beightol of Watertown, Joan (Robert) Day of Apple Valley and Neil (Gail) Beightol of Parkers Prairie; a daughter-in-law, Darlene Beightol of Rockford; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Omlid of Gary and Eidith Richson of Cederburg, Wis.; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Beightol was preceded in death by two sons, Glen and Gene Beightol; a daughter, Yvonne; a sister and two brothers.

Martin Bergstrom

Services for Martin G. Bergstrom, 93, of Brooklyn Center were Saturday, April 27, 2002, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Brooklyn Center with burial in Glen Haven Cemetery in Crystal.

He is survived by daughters, Vivian (Glen) Christianson of Bemidji and Anita (Larry) Slater of Champlin; four grandchildren, Jeff (Joy) Slater, Christopher Slater, Alan (Kirin) Christianson and Bette (Reggie) Beaulieu; six great-grandchildren, Miranda Slater, Celestina Christianson and Andrew, LaShelle, Jonathan and Dylan Beaulieu.

Mr. Bergstrom was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; and daughter, Arlene Bergstrom-Swanson.

August 'Augie' Berneck

Services for August "Augie" Joseph Berneck, 95, of Delano were Monday, April 22, 2002, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Delano.

Fr. Michael Miller and Fr. Kenneth Ludescher concelebrated. Pallbearers were Mark Pool, Terry Pool, Rita Stigsell, Bruce Stotko and Ron Stotko. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Delano.

Mr. Berneck died Friday, April 19, 2002, at his home in Delano. He was born to August and Mary (Ludescher) Berneck March 9, 1907, in Delano.

His hobbies and interests revolved around fishing and his family. He farmed in the Delano area his entire working life.

He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Edward, Leo, Frank and Fred; and sisters, Marie Jadwin, Rose Peppin and Annie Peppin.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gertrude (Tinkey); daughters, Delores (Noel) Joyce and JoAnn Pool; son, Wilber Bruhn; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren.

Bruce Burgess

Services for Bruce R. Burgess, 60, of Corcoran were Friday, May 10, 2002, in Plymouth. A private interment followed.

He was a dedicated worker for God and member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He is the beloved husband of Judith and beloved father of Kimberly (Steve) Ruedinger, Daniel (Angela) Burgess and Carmen Burgess. Beloved grandfather of Nathan and Joshua Ruedinger.

He is also survived by his mother, Dagmar Burgess; sister, Bonnie (John) Odetto; brother, Albert Warren "Butch" (Joan) Burgess; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John.

Douglas Derwood Byington

Services for Douglas Derwood Byington, 78, of Delano were Sunday, May 5, 2002, at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.

Pastor Highland Goodman officiated and interment with military rites followed at the Delano Public Cemetery.

Casketbearers were Matthew, Jonathon, Jason and Andrew Byington and Eric, Travis and Susan Hitchings.

Mr. Byington died Wednesday, May 1, 2002. He was born Aug. 18, 1923, in Arkansas, Wis., the son of Clifford R. and Genevieve E. McMahon Byington.

Mr. Byington honorably served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps.

He was joined in marriage to Donna Jean Matter Nov. 6, 1948, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa. The couple had four children. Mr. and Mrs. Byington enjoyed traveling. Mrs. Byington preceded her husband in death March 10, 2002.

Mr. Byington was involved with air conditioning and refrigeration for many years. He was formerly employed by NSP and later by Perkins Restaurants. He also, at one time, owned and operated the Dairy Queen in Delano.

Mr. Byington was a former member of American Legion Post 377 in Delano.

He is survived by children, Gary (Bridget) Byington of Delano, Craig D. (Barbara) Byington of Mound, Jeffrey L. (Rebecca) Byington of Buffalo, Mark E. (Jacqueline) Byington of Plymouth and Susan J. Hitchings of Long Lake; grandchildren, Cara, Matthew, Jonathon and Laura, Jason (Darcy) and Jennifer, Kristin and Andrew and Eric and Travis; great-grandchild, Sarah; sister, Vera Perleberg of Fridley; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward (Faye) Matter of Lonsdale and Elaine "Jean" Parker of Bell Fair, Wash.; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Byington was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Benjamin Lee Byington; an infant brother; sisters, Maxine Riemann, Marguerite Evenson and Valna Larson; parents-in-law, Edward and Ann Matter; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Leonard Lund.

Raymond Andrew Chock

Services for Raymond Andrew Chock, 80, of Maple Plain, were Friday, April 19, 2002, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Delano.

Fr. Michael Miller officiated and interment was in Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.

Pallbearers were Mike Parta, Bob Parta, Brad Chock, Ken Chock, Michael Chock, Jon Chock, Mark Schumacher and Bruce Schumacher.

Mr. Chock died Monday, April 15, 2002, at his home. He was born to Michael and Victoria (Motzko) Chock April 1, 1922, in Minneapolis.

In 1951, Ray and his wife, Marian, made their home on Copeland Rd. in Independence, where they farmed and brought up four children. Mr. Chock worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 42 years. He was a member of the United Transportation Union for 62 years.

His hobbies and interests were farming, hunting and fishing, but especially spending time with his family.

Mr. Chock was preceded in death by parents, Michael and Victoria; sister, Virginia Schumacher; brother-in-law, Richard Schumacher; grandson, Daniel Chock and lifelong friend, Leo Rainville.

He is survived by wife of 52 years, Marian; sons, Greg (Judy), Mike (Ruth) and Jeff (Denise); daughter, Mary Beth (Terry Anderson) Chock; grandchildren, Chris, Susie, Brad, Ken, Miranda, Dusty, Michael, Jon, Scott, Carolyn, Dylan, Darren and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Matt, Nick, Cailin and Anna; brother-in-law, Ralph Pastoret and numerous cousins and nephews.

Lester L. Daluge

Services for Lester L. Daluge, 59, were Friday, April 19, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo.

Rev. John P. Folkerds officiated and interment followed at Lakeview Cemetery.

Members of the Buffalo Rodeo Committee were honorary casket bearers. Dick Weber, Franklin Hohl, Ron Elam, Dave Botz, Milan Zumach, Perry Wuellner and Brad Schmidtbauer served as casket bearers.

Mr. Daluge died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

He was born May 18, 1942, in Greenwood Township, Hennepin County, the son of Leonard E. and Alice O. Nelson Daluge.

He was baptized July 12, 1942, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenwood. He was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church March 25, 1956.

He graduated from Rockford High School in 1960.

Mr. Daluge was employed by Tri-State Drilling for many years and by Valley Paving Incorporated since 1987.

Through the years, he belonged to both The Wright and Buffalo Saddle Clubs and was very active in the Buffalo Rodeo.

He is survived by his best friend and companion, Nita Wetterlund of Burnsville; his children and their mother, Dawn M. Daluge of Albertville and Tim L. (Michelle) Daluge and Evelyn Daluge all of Buffalo; grandchildren, Brandon T. Daluge and Stefanie L. Faber; brothers and sisters, Orville (Shelley) Daluge of St. Francis, Warren (Sally) Daluge, Marlys (Mark) Mooney and Marilyn (Farrell) Hart, all of Loretto; aunts, uncles, many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard E. and Alice O. Daluge.

Lloyd Dick

Services for Lloyd Dick, 79, of Grand Rapids were Saturday, April 27, 2002, with a Mass of Christian Burial at the new St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Grand Rapids.

Mr. Dick died Tuesday, April 22, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.

He was born July 5, 1922, in St. Michael.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rita in 1996; daughter, Peggy in 1968.

Survivors include five daughters, Betty Fitte of Virginia Beach, Va., Anita Travica of Brainerd, Barbara Murray of Omaha, Neb., Jackie Blaylock of Eagan and Mary Lee Blaylock of Eagan; three sons, Paul, John and Mark Dick, all of Grand Rapids; brother Ralph of St. Michael; 18 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Lloyd Dick Memorial Fund c/o the Grand Rapids State Bank at P.O. Box 409, Grand Rapids, MN 55744.
