Services for Karen J. Dreessen, 48, of Osseo were Monday, May 6, 2002 at Parkway United Church of Christ.
Burial was in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Mrs. Dreessen died Thursday, May 2, in Osseo. She was born April 5, 1954.
She was a member of Parkway United Church of Christ and Job's Daughters.
Survivors include her husband Ordell L.; sons, Eric of Osseo and Scott of Osseo; stepchildren, Stacey Frischmon of Blaine; Kevin Dreessen of St. Francis; three step grandchildren; parents, Carol and Wilbur Goetze of Brooklyn Park; brother, Steven Goetze of Rogers; and sisters, Jane Williams of Maple Grove and Linda Webb of Portland, Ore.
Memorials may be given to the Karen J. Dreessen Memorial Fund.
Helen Egberg
Services for Helen A. Egberg, 87, of Champlin, were Thursday, May 9, 2002, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. She died Tuesday, May 7, 2002.
She is survived by children, John (Judy), Judy Francis (Ronald), David (Jackie), Dale, Charles (Sandra); 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles.
Mary Fournier
Services for Mary M. Fournier, 83, of Onamia and longtime resident of Dayton, were Thursday, May 9, 2002, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Dayton with burial in the church cemetery.
She died Monday, May 6, 2002. She was employed with Honeywell for more than 20 years.
Mrs. Fournier is survived by daughter, Jeri (Jack) Milless; sisters, Ann Neumann of Anoka, Sophie Osterberg of Minneapolis, Olga McFeely of Maple Grove; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George E.; brothers, Michael and William Mihokanich; sister, Helen Schmeltzer; and longtime friend, Earl Maustad.
Douglas Hartung
Services for Douglas Gene Hartung, 67, of Longville were Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Salem Lutheran Church, Longville.
Mr. Hartung died suddenly Saturday, April 20, 2002. He was born and raised in Bertha. He retired after 30 plus years with AT&T.
Survivors include special friend Julia Jones; children, Rebecca (Jerry) Couet of Maple Grove, Dan Hartung of Littleton, Colo., and Tina (Rich) Carlson of Dayton; grandchildren, Nickie, Ashbach, Brandon, Jesse, Kristen, Heather, Jeremy and Justin Hartung, Dustin and Dalton Carlson; sister, Patti (Ron) Piepkern and Betty (Forrest) Spindler; many relatives, friends and his beloved "Coffee Bunch."
Virg Holthus
Services for Virg Holthus, 73, of Maple Grove were Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at 3 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 9141 County Rd. 101, Maple Grove.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by parents, August and Alice and two sisters.
Survived include his wife of 52 years, Shirley; children, Deb (Brian) Williams, Rev. Jim Holthus, Kristi Holthus, Mindy (Lonnie) Fahey, Dan (Tylene) Holthus; sister, Leone (Floyd) Kober; eight grandsons, two granddaughters, one great-granddaughter, and other relatives and friends.
Vincent Hughes
Services for Vincent M. Hughes, 77, formerly of Plymouth were Tuesday, May 14, at the Church of St. Anne in Hamel. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
Mr. Hughes was a member of the Hamel American Legion. He was involved for many years in the construction business and also loved woodworking. He will be sincerely missed by family and friends.
He is survived by children: Tim Hughes and wife Pam, Joan Hughes and husband Tom Anderson; grandchildren: Elise, Brady and Cullen Hughes, Karen and Jacob Anderson; sisters: Bea Skoog and Marie Leadens; brother-in-law Ray Anderson; and sister-in-law Loretta Hughes.
He was preceded in death by wife, Marie.
Ronald J. Ibister
Services for Ronald J. Ibister, 67, of Maple Grove were Thursday, April 18, 2002, at House of Hope Lutheran Church, New Hope.
Mr. Ibister retired from NSP in 1991.
He was preceded in death by mother and father.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Barbara; son, Dale; daughter, Brenda (Chuck) Dybwad; grandson, Benjamin; great-grandson, Diego; sisters and brother, Joyce (John) Sorenson, Raymond (Ramona) Ibister, Dorothy Hunter, and Marilyn Somerson; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Cindy Johnson
Services for Cindy Payette Johnson, 49, of Maple Grove were Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, Osseo.
A battle she fought with a smile, a laugh and great courage ended as she found peace at the end of the day Monday, April 22.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thor.
Survivors include her husband, Mike; mother, Ada; brother and sister-in-law, T.W. and Jeanne; niece, Megan; nephew, Reid; step-children, Chuck, Ginger, Cindy and Jeanna.
Memorials may be given to the Cindy Payette Johnson Memorial Fund.
Robert Julkowski
Services for Robert Julkowski, 67, of Osseo were Friday, April 19, 2002, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, Brooklyn Center.
Burial was at Lakewood Cemetery.
Mr. Julkowski was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Betty and brother, Bernard Jr..
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Julkowski of Plymouth.
Memorials may be given to the Julkowski Memorial Fund.
Kenneth Junker
Services for Kenneth "Ken" Junker, 79, of Mound, were Friday, May 3, 2002, at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
He is survived by wife, Joanne; children, Stephen (Lois) Junker of Stacy, Greg (Nancy) Junker of New Brighton, Brian Junker (Irma Tani) of Pittsburgh, Pa., Michelle (John) Eikens of Chisago City, Mark (Natalia) Rieland of Switzerland and Mary (Doug) Emery of Delano; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Karl (Leah) Junker of Florida and Peter (Martha) Junker of Arizona; sister, Peggy (Dick) Champ of Circle Pines; and nieces and nephews.
Horace E. Keplinger
Services for Horace E. Keplinger, 93, of Delano were Saturday, April 27, 2002, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Delano.
Pastor Jeff Hagaman officiated and interment was in St. Paul's Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Clarence Matter, Jr., Loren Keplinger, Guy Keplinger, Burton Keplinger, Jared Keplinger, Galen Keplinger, Lars Keplinger and Kristi Haertl.
Mr. Keplinger created the multi-million dollar business Wrightco after taking over the family's grocery store in Delano in 1930. Farmers were paying for their groceries with eggs, due to the depression, and Mr. Keplinger turned around and sold those eggs. From this, Mr. Keplinger formed Wrightco, which sold processed eggs and other products. The company was bought by Sunny Fresh Foods, a subsidiary of Cargill in 1985.
Mr. Keplinger joined the Buffalo Lions in 1946 and was a past district governor of Lions Club International.
He is survived by sons, Wayne Keplinger of Golden Valley and James Keplinger of Marquette, Mich.; daughter, Sandra Keplinger of Ankeny, Iowa; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
K. Donna King
Services for K. Donna King, 74, of St. Michael were Monday, April 29, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Word of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers.
Rev. John Christianson officiated and interment followed at Word of Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
Chris Hatleli served as a honorary pallbearer. Kim Johnson, Dan Lauria, Luke Cain, Sr., Luke Cain Jr., Mark Lauria and Mark Hatleli served as pallbearers.
Mrs. King died Friday, April 26, at her residence. She was born June 13, 1927, in Osakis the daughter of Ambrose and Florence Meyer Rooney.
On Aug. 14, 1947, Donna Rooney and Wayne King were joined in holy marriage in Bertha, Minn. God blessed their marriage with three daughters.
She was a faithful member of Word of Peace Lutheran Church in Rogers. She also belonged to the Rogers Quilting Club.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne G. King; three daughters, Marie (Dan) Lauria, Lyn Cain and Dorothy (Kim) Hatleli-Johnson; grandchildren, Mark (Amy) Lauria; Kathy Cain, Luke Cain Jr. and Lori Cain; Chris Hatleli and Jennifer Hatleli; two great-grandsons, Kyle and Jordan Lauria; four sisters, Eunice Kolstad, Jean Anderson, Carol Booen and Barbara Rooney.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ambrose and Florence Rooney; and by two brothers, James Rooney and Ray Rooney.
Daniel Kotula
Services for Daniel Kotula, 41, of Maple Grove were Saturday, May 4, 2002, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Maple Grove.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois.
He is survived by son, Daniel III; father, Vernon; brother, Phillip (Robynn); sisters, Denise Kotula and Diane Kotula (Aaron); niece, Courtney; and nephews, Spencer and Joshua.
Anna Lieder
Services for Anna Lieder, 93, and formerly of the Corcoran/Rockford area were Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenfield.
Rev. Dennis K. Strong officiated and interment followed at Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
Cindy Steinke was the organist for the funeral service. "Precious Lord, Take My Hand," "Abide with Me!," "Fast Falls the Eventide," and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" were sung as congregational hymns.
Mrs. Lieder's seven grandchildren served as casket bearers, Thomas, Gary, David and Paul Lieder, Robert Stieg, Julie Renner and Richard Stieg.
Mrs. Lieder died Friday, May 3, at the Delano Healthcare Center.
She was born in Greenwood Township, Hennepin County Aug. 29, 1908, the daughter of John Adam and Alvine Bechtold Hohenstein.
She was baptized at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenwood Sept. 20, 1908.
On Nov. 24, 1928, Anna Hohenstein was joined in holy marriage to Alexander Lieder in Hanover. God blessed their marriage with two children.
Mr. and Mrs. Lieder engaged in farming in Greenwood Township until 1941. They later moved to Corcoran Township and farmed there until Mr. Lieder's death April 28, 1972. Mrs. Lieder remained on the family farm until she moved into the city of Rockford in 1991. She became a resident of the Park View House in Buffalo in 1998 and resided at Delano Healthcare Center since November 2001. She received loving care at both Park View House and at Delano Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Lieder was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenfield and belonged to its ladies aid.
She is survived by children, Willard (LaVerne) Lieder of Rockford and Lois (Willard) Stieg of East Grand Forks; grandchildren Thomas (Nancy), Gary (Renee), David (Janelle) and Paul (Tawnya) Lieder and Robert Stieg, Julie (Bill) Renner and Richard (Stacey) Stieg; 13 great grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; three step great-grandchildren; sisters, Hattie Daluge of Loretto and Ella (Russ) Wagner of Hanover; many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, Alex, Mrs. Lieder was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Joyce and Joann Stieg; her parents, a brother, Roy Hohenstein and two stillborn sisters.
Violet Lodoen
Services for Violet M. (Prieditis) Lodoen, 79, of Coon Rapids were Thursday, May 9, 2002, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota in Brooklyn Park.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Karl.
She is survived by husband, Lars P. Lodoen; stepchildren, Lars (Kathy) of Plymouth and Paul (Deb) of Corcoran; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Lodoen of Maple Grove; grandson, Justin; brothers, John Olson of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Harold Olson of San Francisco, Calif.; sister, Stella (Robert) Ostrander of Esteline, S.D.; brother-in-law, Kjell of Norway; sisters-in-law, Kari (Hans) Lund of Brooklyn Center, Ingebjorg Narvestad of Norway and Ashild Rosting of Norway; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
