Lloyd Arlt

Services for Lloyd Louis Arlt, 74, were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Vernon Dorn officiating.

Interment was in the Borgholm Cemetery near Bock.

Mr. Arlt died Monday evening Oct. 14, at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis.

Mr. Arlt was born May 1, 1928, to August and Mattie (Gustafson) Arlt in Plummer, Minn. He attended the Pershing High School in Plummer where he graduated from high school. He later attended Coyne Technical School in Chicago and received training as a master electrician.

He was united in marriage to Rose Mary Cosgrove July 8, 1951, in Los Angeles, Calif. The couple resided in northern California for four years before returning to Plummer in 1956. He worked for Langlie Electric until 1965 when the couple moved to Coon Rapids. There he worked for Gopher Electric until retirement in 1990.

In 1992 the couple retired to Borgholm Township near Milaca, where Mr. Arlt enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of Local 292 IBEW and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Milaca. He also enjoyed nature, woodworking, traveling and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary; daughter, Linda (Dean Hunt) of Milaca; sons, Daniel of Lexington, N.C., James (Luanne) of St. Michael, and Randy of Dorchester, Neb.; eight grandchildren, Angie, Gina, Elton, Tiffany, Matthew, Chad, Michael and David; three great-grandchildren, Justin, Cody and Ryan; two sisters, Evelyn Ulrich and Alice Cormecan, both of Plummer; and one brother, Arnold (Wilma) of Plummer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Haley Brown

Services for Haley Payton Brown, the infant child of Christopher and Tesa Brown, were Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael.

Deacon Don Fidler lead the service.

Haley died in September of 2002.

The child is survived by her parents, Christopher and Tesa Brown of Buffalo; two brothers, Nickolas Brown and Elijah Bible; grandparents, Brad (Sandi) Brown of Princeton and Jerry (Diana) Bible of St. Michael; great-grandparents, Ellen Bible of Brainerd, Jeanne Johnson of Keosauqua, Iowa, Eunice Stachowski of Brooklyn Center, and Lester (Gladys) Brown of Rush City; several aunts and uncles; other relatives and friends.

Joseph Conrad

Joseph E. Conrad, age 61, of Rogers died peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2002 at his residence after an intense battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

He was born on January 24, 1941 in Minneapolis the son of Joseph and Grace Leighton Conrad.

On January 3, 1976, Joseph Conrad and Evelyn Frandup were joined in holy marriage at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion, Minnesota. God blessed their marriage with three sons.

Joe was a former 44 year employee of Marshall Fields (Dayton's). He also belonged to St. Walburga Catholic Church in Fletcher, Early Ford V-8, Minnesota Street Rod and Mini Birds.

Survived by Wife: Evelyn Conrad; loving sons: Kelly (Kristin) Conrad, Terry Conrad and Jimmy Conrad; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Art and Marian Frandrup; a brother-in-law: Donal O'Donnell Sr.; a sister-in-law: Sylvia Conrad; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by parents: Joe and Grace Conrad, a sister: Kathleen O'Donnell and a brother: Robert L. Conrad.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Conrad was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17th at St. Walburga Catholic Church in Fletcher. Father John J. Bussmann was the Celebrant and interment followed at St. Walburga Cemetery.

Friends called at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 16th from 4:30-8:30 p.m.

Casket bearers were Joe's three sons: Kelly, Terry and Jimmy Conrad, Jake Henry, Matt Nelson and Jesse Ward friends of the sons.

Gladys Frane

Services for Gladys Frane (Bauman), 94, were Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Delano.

Fr. Michael Miller officiated and interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Delano.

Mrs. Frane died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at St. Therese Home in New Hope. She was born on the family farm in Delano March 23, 1908, the daughter of William and Sophia Bauman. She was the granddaughter of Frank and Mary Bauman and Joseph and Sophia Matter.

She was a graduate of St. Peter's Catholic School in Delano. As a young adolescent, she moved to Minneapolis with her mother. She worked in the insurance business and for Northrup King before her marriage to John Frane in 1934.

She raised her family in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Hopkins as well as in Nutley, N.J., and New Port Richey, Fla. She lived briefly in Jacksonville, Fla., before returning to her native Minnesota where she lived at St. Therese in New Hope close to her cousin, Evelyn Peach.

After raising her family, Mrs. Frane was active in the Hospice of Pasco in New Port Richey. For 35 years, Mr. and Mrs. Frane's hearts and home in New Port Richey were always open to the families of her children, brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends from Minnesota.

In the days preceding her death, she was visited by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who had come from all over the country, as well as by her cousin, Evelyn, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers, George and Herbert; sisters, Agnes Schutz, Nora Marystone, Carola Muckenhirn Von Bank and Lucille Smith.

She is survived by brother, Jim of Monticello; son, Jack (Carole) of Hopkins, Jim (Marjane) of Santa Monica, Calif. and Gregory (Jean) of Washington, D.C.; daughter, Barbara (Bob) Price of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Cyndi of White Bear Lake, Debbie (Chris) Borse of Denver, Ind., John of Santa Monica, Michael of Honolulu, Hawaii, Michelle (Jamie) Wilson of San Diego, Calif., Andy of Santa Monica, Alison of College Park, Md., Alec of Chengdu, China, Bobby of Gainsville, Fla., and Beth of Gainsville, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Vyvian, Alex, Marie, Daniel, Joshua and Rose.

Roger A. Fritz

Services for Roger A. Fritz, 62, of Cologne were Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waconia.

Fr. James Himmelsbach officiated and interment was in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Watertown.

Mr. Fritz died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. He was born Nov. 26, 1939, in Chaska, the son of Jerome B. and Isabella (Eiden) Fritz.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Ann Marie Fritz; father, Jerome Fritz; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Angela Schoewe; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann and Larry Hitchcock and Angela and Dick Happ.

He is survived by wife, Kathy; children and spouses, Steve and Ann Fritz of Savage, Kay and Mike O'Fallon of Prior Lake, Susan and Paul Wolfert of Danville, Calif. and Joseph and Karrine Fritz of Chicago; grandchildren, Alex, Nick, David, Bryan, Katie, Paul and Emily; mother, Isabella Fritz of Watertown; brothers and sisters, Donald (Karin) Fritz of Delano, Marilyn (Marty) Wandersee of Delano, Jerry (Sharon) Fritz of Delano, Rose (Dave) Russek of Delano, Jimmy (Angie) Fritz of Winsted, Barbara (Dave) Armstrong of New Hope, Judy (Kenny) Theis of Delano, Karen Fritz of Victoria and Linda (Mike) Yantes of Watertown; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Harry and Pat Schoewe of Edina, Dale Schoewe of Tigard, Oregon, Joan and Wendell Stuewe of Hamburg and Carol Schoewe of Portland, Oregon; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Bernardine Goth

Services for Bernardine Goth, 84, of Rogers were Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at St. Walburga Catholic Church in Fletcher.

She was a member of St. Walburga Catholic Church and interment was at St. Walburga Cemetery.

Ms. Goth died Oct. 15 in Robbinsdale. She was born May 25, 1918, in Hassan Township.

She is survived by brother, Anthony (Tony) Goth; sister, Agnes Goth; two nephews and four nieces.

She is preceded in death by parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Marguerite Hammer

Services for Marguerite H. Hammer, 89, of Champlin were Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002, at Champlin United Methodist Church, with burial in Champlin Cemetery. Rev. Judy Myers presided.

Mrs. Hammer was born Aug. 21, 1913, to Albert O. and Anna J. (Reinke) Blesi. She worked for Federal Cartridge, and was a member of Champlin United Methodist Church.

She is survived by children, Elaine (Roger) Larson of Isanti; Kenneth (Judy) Kost of Texas, Odelle Wilson of Ramsey; step-daughter, Marge (John) Hammer-Waldron of St. Paul; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gayle (MaryJane) Blesi of Blaine, Alvin Blesi of Elk River, Stanley Blesi of Maple Grove; sisters, Mae Gabriel of Minneapolis, Grace Lazorik of Isle, Edna (Emil) Menard of Fridley; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Herbert Kost and Arthur Hammer; her parents; and two brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers were Ben Gerard, David Larson, Bryan Kost, Rick Wilson, Brian VanderLee and Roger Larson.

Alice C. Henning

Services for Alice C. Henning, 99, of Buffalo, formerly of Lyndale, were Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Lyndale Lutheran Church in Independence.

Pastor Lyndon Nygaard officiated and interment was in Lewis Cemetery in Maple Plain.

Casket bearers were Leslie Simon, Matt Simon, Laura Koecheler, Randy Koecheler, Lisa Henning and Charles Poirier.

Mrs. Henning died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, at the Park View Care Center in Buffalo. She was born Oct. 12, 1902, in Camden Township, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Kuntz Hahn.

Mrs. Henning was baptized as an infant. She was also instructed in the Lutheran Catechism and confirmed in the Christian faith May 7, 1916, at the Lyndale Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She was joined in marriage to Herman Henning Nov. 11, 1920, at Lyndale Lutheran Church. They had one son.

Mr. and Mrs. Henning engaged in farming in the Lyndale area for many years. Mr. Henning preceded his wife in death Sept. 8, 1969 and Mrs. Henning moved to Buffalo in 1972.

Mrs. Henning was the oldest member of the Lyndale Lutheran Church. She was also a former Sunday school teacher and a long-time member and past president of its ladies aid.

She is survived by son, Marvin (Rosalie) Henning of Waverly; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Henning was preceded in death by a great-great-grandchild, Luke; daughter-in-law, Annette Henning in 1974; parents, Joseph and Mary Hahn; brothers, Herbert and John Hahn and by sister, Lillian Gast.

Leslie Johnson

Services for Leslie Dawn Johnson, 57, of Pequot Lakes were Friday, Oct. 4, 2002, at the St. Michael home of her daughter, Tara O'Connor.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by husband, John J.; children, Kerry (Paula) Johnson of Eden Prairie, Kyle (Laurie) Johnson of Elk River, Tara (Steve) O'Connor of St. Michael; father, Lester (Bonnie) Hoeft; sisters, Tammy (Brad) Prose and Cherry (Danny) Olene; brothers, Terry Christensen, Bruce (Barb) Hoeft and Gene Hoeft; and seven grandchildren, Alexis, Lindsey, Paige, Tucker, Samantha, Emma and Rachel.

She was preceded in death by Wally Hoeft, Hester Erickson, Georgene Hanson and Randy Christensen.

A big thank you to all the doctors and nurses at Fairview University for your support through Leslie's final days.

Mary Jakulewicz

Alice Jakulewicz

Services for Mary Jakulewicz, 82, of Delano, and Alice Jakulewicz, 56, of Delano, were Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002.

Rev. Michael Miller officiated and interment was in St. Francis DeSales Cemetery in Lake Geneva, Wis.

Pallbearers were Michael Callen, Shane Callen, Doug Linden, Mike Jakulewicz, Zachary Linden, Eric Callen, Jason Callen, Stanley Jakulewicz and Matthew Linden.

Mary Jakulewicz died Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Delano Healthcare Center. Alice Jakulewicz died Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

Mary was born Oct. 22, 1919, and was married to Stanley H. Jakulewicz. She was preceded in death by husband and daughter, Alice. She is survived by sons, Michael (Wanda) Jakulewicz and Stanley Jakulewicz; daughters, Monica (Michael) Callen and Anne (Doug) Linden and nine grandchildren.

Alice, daughter of Stanley H. and Mary (Zbiegen) Jakulewicz, was born April 20, 1946, in Chicago.

Alan Johnson

Services for Alan K. Johnson, 69, of Champlin were Monday, Sept. 30, 2002, at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Osseo. He was born July 17, 1933, in St. Paul; he owned AK & ML Johnson, and trucked more than three million miles in his lifetime.

He is survived by beloved wife of 32 years, Mary (nee Fischbach); daughter, Rachel Kells Johnson; grandson, Patrick Alan Sean Fadden; niece, Megan Rose Fischbach; mother-in-law, Nellie Fischbach; sisters-in-law, Diana Fischbach-Grimlie, Ruth Fischbach, Becky Fischbach, Barbara Fischbach; brothers-in-law, Peter Fischbach, Charles Fischbach; sister, Judy Hall; brothers, Greg Johnson, Bob Johnson, Ken Johnson, Don Johnson and Dick Johnson; aunt, Irene Johnson; and a special thanks to Juli Fischbach.

Luella G. McClay

Services for Luella G. McClay, 82, of Delano, were Saturday, Oct. 12, 2002, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Delano.

Fr. Michael Miller and Fr. Vincent Spinos officiated and interment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Delano.

Pallbearers were John McClay, Chad McClay, John Kadlec, Heather Kadlec, Rob Bidwell and Wendy Bidwell. Honorary pallbearers were Lisa Prawdzik and Tony Lombardo.

Mrs. McClay died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at her home in Delano. She was born Aug. 3, 1920, to John and Regina (Matter) Sunday in Franklin Township.

She is survived by loving husband of 57 years, Andy; sons, Gary (Lynn) and Jeff (Nita); grandchildren, Wendy and John and Chad and Heather; great-grandsons, Zachary, Jacob, Wyatt and Evan; step-grandchildren, Lisa and Tony; step-great-grandchildren, Anna, April, Nick and Amanda; niece, Linda Tjosvold; brother-in-law, Ed Lindenberg; sister-in-law, Garnet Downing; nephews, Joel McClay and Gregg Downing; close friend, Georgia Schumacher and many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, John and Regina Sunday; sisters, Clem Lindenberg and Delores Baldy; brothers-in-law, Donald Brier and Leo Baldy and niece, Kathleen Flaherty.

Daniel Murray

Services for Daniel John Murray, 41, of Champlin were Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 20000 County Rd. 10, Corcoran.

Mr. Murray died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at Robbinsdale.

Mr. Murray was born June 24, 1961, and was a graduate of Osseo High School and Bemidji State College. He was a well-known professional in the concrete industry. He was known as a music man and funny man. He will be missed by everyone who's life he touched.

He was preceded in death by mother, Shirley; and grandmother, Mildred Rakotz.

Survivors include daughter, Miranda; father, Virgil; brother, Paul (Paula); sister, Janie (Mike); nieces, nephews and companion, Terri.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund was started for Miranda.
