Georgia M. Taylor

Services for Georgia M. Taylor, 61, of Maple Grove will be Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park.

Interment was at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Osseo.

She was died Monday, Aug. 11, 2003 in Maple Grove. Mrs. Taylor was born May 9, 1942 in Minneapolis.

Mrs. Taylor was a member St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was a 28 year employee of REO Plastics.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard; children, Mark (Gwen) of Ames, Iowa, Steve of Elk River, Deb (Pete) Josie of Zimmerman, Dan (Tracy) of Zimmerman, Sandy (Brad) Nauer of Zimmerman, and Vicki (Pat) Hughes of Elk River; brother, Ken Reaser of Calif.; sister, Katherine Streeter of Champlin; and 19 grandchildren.

If so, desired memorials may be given to the Georgia M. Taylor Memorial Fund.

Signe J. Doten

Services for Signe J. Doten, 90, formerly of Robbinsdale were Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003 at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Brooklyn Center.

Interment was at Mound Cemetery in Brooklyn Center.

Mrs. Doten died Monday, Aug. 4, 2003 in Crosby. She was born Feb. 2, 1913 in Minneapolis.

She is survived by her children, Lorelie Kemmitt of Brooklyn Park, James (Margo) of Cottage Grove, and Linda (Larry) Oman of Little Falls; daughters-in-law, Shirley Doten of S.D. and Ione Doten of Osseo; grandchildren, Greg and Scott Kemmitt, Tom and Don Doten, Chris, Becca and Mark Doten, Angie Deering and Brian Oman; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Doten is preceded in death by her husband, William (Ed); and sons, Thomas and David.

Aquina Eicher

Aquina Elizabeth Eicher, age 90, of St. Michael left this world to be with her husband Arthur on Friday, August 1, 2003.

She was born on July 2, 1913 in Frankfort Township, near Pelican Lake, the daughter of Francis "Frank" and Agnes Gutzwiller Blake.

On August 20, 1935, Aquina Blake and Arthur Eicher were joined in holy marriage at the Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. God blessed their marriage with eight children. Mr. Eicher preceded his wife in death on March 30, 1980.

She was a faithful, lifelong member of the Church of St. Michael and belonged to the Christian Mothers.

She will be missed by her son, Tony (Carol) Eicher; daughters, Marilyn (Bob) Quigley, Rosemary (Roger) Robeck, Aggie (Lloyd) LaVallee, Audrey (Carl) Welter, Alice (Jerry) Opheim, Susan (Steve) Scharber & Linda (Larry) May; 35 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, Aquina was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Louis Welter, on January 19, 1982.

A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Aquina Eicher was held on Monday, August 4 at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Michael in St. Michael. Concelebrants were Father Michael Becker and Father Leonard Siebenaler. Interment followed at St. Michael Cemetery.

Friends called at the Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home on Sunday, August 3 from 4 to 9 p.m. A prayer service was held at 7 p.m.

Robert S. Heltemes

Services for Robert S. Heltemes, 55, of Maple Grove were Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Mr. Heltemes is survived by his wife, Sandra, of 32 years; children, Joseph (Laura), Christopher (Amy), and Jill Heltemes; mother, Helen; grandchildren, Hanna, Derrick, Marissa and Allie; sister, Darlene Koranda; brothers, Jerry (Vivian), Larry (Kathy); many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Victor.

Richard J. Jennrich

Services for Richard Jean Jennrich, 75, of Champlin, formerly of Brooklyn Center were Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003 at Harron United Methodist Church in Brooklyn Center.

Interment was at Sunset Cemetery.

Mr. Jennrich is a Korean War veteran and member of Osseo American Legion. He is a former 30-year employee of the City of Brooklyn Center and a former member of the Brooklyn Center Volunteer Fire Dept.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Doane Jennrich; sons, David (Jackie) and Douglas; grandsons, Trevor and Joe and granddaughters, Ally and Jordan.

If so desired, memorials may be given to Harron Church, Cancer Society, or the Heart Association.

Wallace R. Nivala

Services for Wallace R. Nivala, 80, of Brooklyn Park were Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at Osseo United Methodist Church.

Interment was at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Nivala died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, in Robbinsdale. He was born April 29, 1923, in Minneapolis.

He was a member of Osseo United Methodist Church, VFW Degree of Honor and the Annandale VFW.

Mr. Nivala served in the U.S. Army Technician Third Grade 947th Engineer Aviation Topographic Company in Guam. He was discharged in March 1946.

He retired after being employed for 46 years as an industrial supplies buyer for Williams Steel and Warehouse.

Mr. Nivala is survived by his wife of 50 years in October, Carol; sons, Todd and Jedd (Michelle); daughter, Julie (Greg) Humbert; grandchildren, Taylor, Ben, Aaron, Max Nivala, Kyle, Tanner and Jake Humbert; sisters, Thelma Komathy of California, and Evelyn Thibodeau of Osseo; brothers, Larry (Jo), and Alvin of California; 14 nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Florence Nivala.

If so desired, memorials may be given to the Wallace R. Nivala Memorial Fund.

Fae M. Ohman

Services for Fae M. Ohman, 80, of Crystal were Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Osseo.

Interment was at Hillside Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Mrs. Ohman died Monday, Aug. 4, 2003 in Robbinsdale. She was born Dec. 27, 1922 in Minneapolis.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Ohman is survived by her husband, Leonard G.; daughter, Janet (Jerry) Lindsay of Macomb, Ill.; son, Ross (Julie) of Forest Lake; sister, Arla Kuss of Pine City; and grandchildren, Lara, Jeff, Katie, Jonathan, Joel and Jackie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Selma Moore.

If so, desired memorials may be given to the Fae M. Ohman Memorial Fund.

Beven M. Vanasse

Services for Beven M. Vanasse, 44, of Delano, were Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, at the Delano High School auditorium.

Private family interment will be Monday, Aug. 4, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Bemidji.

Pallbearers were Deb Bailey, Carmon Penner, Jeff Hind, Brad Vanasse, Tim Vanasse, Gary Vanasse, Ron Vanasse and Janelle Vanasse.

Mrs. Vanasse died Friday, July 25, 2003, at her home in Delano. She was born Aug. 18, 1958, to Everett R. and Verna (Hobbie) Hind in Wessington Springs, S.D.

She married Gregory D. Vanasse Nov. 26, 1977, in Bemidji. This union produced six children: Allison, Lukas, Cassandra, Amelia, Kiah and Damon.

Mrs. Vanasse provided home day care for 20-plus years, as well as being the director of Joyful Heart Preschool.

She was a musical person, conducting the Christmas musical, playing her guitar and singing. She was very active in ministry. She enjoyed spending time on or near the water with her family. Gardening of flowers was also a passion.

She was preceded in death by grandfathers, Willis Hind and Oscar Hobbie; father-in-law, Noel Vanasse; aunt, Marlys Pedersen; brother-in-law, Clark Vanasse and cousin, Stacy Hobbie.

She is survived by husband, Greg; children, Allison Vanasse, Lukas Vanasse, Cassandra Vanasse, Amelia Vanasse, Kiah Vanasse and Damon Vanasse; parents, Rev. Everett and Verna Hind; grandmothers, Matilda Hobbie and Alice Hind; mother-in-law, Geneva Vanasse; brother, Jeff (Katherine) Hind; sisters, Deb (Robert) Bailey and Carmon (Don) Penner; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Brad and Lynn Vanasse, Tim and Deb Vanasse, Gary and Jan Vanasse, Ron and Dawn Vanasse and Janelle and Kurt Kuehne.

Rollin Bissonett

Rollin (Pud) Harvey Bissonett, 81, of Maple Grove was born July 20, 1922.

He is the son of deceased parents, William O. and Elsie Mae Bissonett, grew up in Duluth, and has lived in the Twin Cities since 1948.

Mr. Bissonett served in the Army Air Corps during WWII following high school. After high school at Duluth East, he attended Hamline University and received his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law.

He began practicing law and was independent for many years before joining the Taylor Law Firm. He was known for his wit and sense of humor. A lifelong avid golfer, he only recently put away the clubs.

Mr. Bissonett is survived by his wife of 37 years, (Vicki) Ethel May Bissonett; his sons, James and his wife Wendy, Thomas and his wife Judith, and Bruce Bissonett; grandchildren, Melissa, Steven and Kathryn; through marriage, Greg and Forrest Chalker and Linda Ellis and her husband Jim; and grandchildren, Danielle, Angie, Debbie, Jason, Kim, Katie, Amy and Alicia; and numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Johnson and her husband Clint; and his deceased brother William's spouse, Lori Bissonett.

Doris R. Leadens

Services for Doris R. Leadens, 96, of Brooklyn Center, formerly of Osseo, were Monday, July 28, 2003, at Osseo Church of the Nazarene.

Interment was at Mound Cemetery.

Mrs. Leadens is survived by her sons, Carl (Virginia) of Aitkin, Jack (Sharon) of Maple Grove, and Jerry (Sharon) of Elk River; daughters, Joyce Froberg of Texas, Joanne (Gordon) Sandahl of Brooklyn Center, and Carol Norby of Maple Grove; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gaylord.

William A. Mead

Services for William A. Mead, 78, of Clear Lake, formerly of Champlin, were Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at the Becker Baptist Church in Becker.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Anoka.

Mr. Mead is survived by his wife, Erma; son, Arnold Mead and wife Doris; grandson, Steven Mead; granddaughter, Carrie Briggs and husband Patrick; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Amanda Mead, and Anna Rose Briggs; brother, Larry Mead and wife Rhoda; step-children, Kenneth Cameron and wife Janet, Doyle Cameron, Shelia Hagstrom and husband Edward, Wade and Frank Cameron, Tonya Youness and husband Bryan; eight step-grandchildren and step-great-grandson; his church family and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Delrose; parents, Albert and Ruth Mead.

Irma Scharenbroich

Services for Irma Jean (Koch) Scharenbroich, 71, of Maple Grove were Thursday, July 31, 2003 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Maple Grove.

Entombment was at Gethsemane Cemetery in New Hope.

Mrs. Scharenbroich died Sunday, July 27, 2003. A graduate of the College of St. Catherine, her life was a love of church and family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, James; children, John and his wife Christine of Buffalo, and Paul and his wife Nancy of Sioux Falls, S.D.; grandchildren, Tim, Laura, April Peterson and her husband Ben; sister, Kitty Engelstad of Bismarck, N.D.; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Scharenbroich is preceded in death by her parents; and grandson, Eric, Paul and Nancy's son.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church or North Memorial Hospice Program, or to the donor's choice. Special thanks to the Hospice Program at North Memorial and to the many kind caregivers.
