Eleanor C. Sterner

Services for Eleanor C. Sterner, 88, were Monday, March 31, 2003, at Lake Nokomis Lutheran Church.

Interment was at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Mrs. Sterner was preceded in death by husband, Carl.

She is survived by sons, Alan (Jean Peterson), Leon (Lala Mackenzie) and John (Audri); grandchildren, Jessica and Allison (Casey); great-grandson, Collin; special nieces, nephews and many friends.

The family appreciates the staff at the Delano Healthcare Center for all their care.

Bernice A. Stevens

Services for Bernice A. Stevens, 80, of Osseo, formerly of Wadena are today, Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Wadena.

Ms. Stevens died Friday, April 11, 2003 in New Hope. She was born Oct. 6, 1922 in Wadena.

She is survived by daughters, Jacqueline Wright of Brooklyn Park and Mary Robinson of Osseo; grandchildren, Michelle Gens (Darren), Luke Wright (Kari), Hollie Robinson, Jessica Robinson, Nicholas Robinson, and Chelsea Robinson; great-grandchildren, Alex, Gavin, Kristina, and Makayla.

Ms. Stevens is preceded in death by her parents, John Siedl and Mary (Kniesel) Siedl; brother, Roman Siedl; and sister, Betty (Siedl) Classen.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.

Gail Anne Swenson

Services for Gail Anne Swenson, 55, of Maple Grove will be Thursday, April 17, 2003 at Evan-Nordby Funeral Home in Osseo.

Mrs. Swenson died Saturday, April 12, 2003 in Maple Grove. She was born Sept. 10, 1947 in Queens, N.Y.

She is survived by her husband, Pete; daughters, Denise (Joel) Collins, Karin (Brian) Goetz, and Kevin (Becky) Swenson; grandchildren, Drew Collins, Samantha Goetz, and unborn baby Collins.

Mrs. Swenson is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marie Harris.

Cindy K. Swenson

Services for Cindy K. Swenson, 51, of Delano, were Thursday, April 3, 2003, at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano.

Pastor Jeff Harter officiated and interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Delano.

Mrs. Swenson died Friday, March 28, at her home in Delano. She was born April 20, 1951 in Minneapolis to Dale S. and Gloria (Abrahamsen) Swenson.

She graduated from Osseo High School in 1969. She was a resident of Delano for more than 30 years. She was a dedicated sports mom, spending many hours in the bleachers supporting her sons and their school's teams. She earned a BS degree in paralegal in 2001. She was employed at Landscape Structures and Industrial Louvers, two Delano businesses, for more than 20 years.

Mrs. Swenson was a member of the Delano American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, horse racing, days at the beach, traveling and collecting hummingbirds and thimbles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Gloria Swenson. She is survived by husband, Dave; sons, Brian (Megan) Ramola and Marc (Danielle) Ramola; grandchildren, Nicki, Macenzie and Brock; sisters, Linda Swenson and Lori (Mike) Vail; brother, Terry (Susan) Swenson; step-children, Mark and Pamela Eggert and niece and nephew, Lauren and Eric.

Alice P. Tessman

Services for Alice P. Tessman, 94, of Brooklyn Park were Friday, April 18, 2003, at Osseo United Methodist Church.

Interment was in Brooklyn-Crystal Cemetery in Brooklyn Park.

The life-long potato growing pioneer died Monday, April 14, 2003.

Ms. Tessman was a 73-year member of Osseo Winslow-Lewis Chapter 67 Order of the Eastern Star and a faithful member of Osseo United Methodist Church.

She and Raymond (brother), along with other family friends, traveled extensively to the four corners of the earth, visiting almost 70 different countries. She always said that she never regretted visiting any of the many places to which they had traveled.

She also got her wish, which was to leave this world from the same bedroom where she was born.

Ms. Tessman is survived by her special care givers, Eldon and June Tessman of Brooklyn Park; many other cousins and a host of special friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Louise; sister, Irma; brothers, Raymond, Lawrence, Vernon and Lloyd.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Osseo United Methodist Church, Osseo Winslow-Lewis Chapter 67 Order of the Eastern Star, North Hennepin Community College Foundation, University of Minnesota Foundation, or donor's favorite charity.

Lorraine M. Williams

Services for Lorraine M. Williams, 80, of Mankato were Saturday, March 29, 2003, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Mankato.

She died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital.

Mrs. Williams was born Feb. 23, 1923, in New Ulm to Theodore William and Clara (Dorn) Manderfeld. She graduated from Trinity Cathedral High School in New Ulm and Mankato Teacher's College.

She married Roger J. Williams at Holy Trinity Catholic Church June 28, 1947, in New Ulm. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters and was an active member of her church.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons, Dan of Mankato, Ted (Lisa) of Isanti, and Greg of Maple Grove; daughters, Susan Williams of Mankato, Mary (Jerry) Hicks of North Mankato, and Jackie Ruhland of Maple Grove; brothers, Stan (Fran) Manderfeld of New Ulm and Fort Myers, Fla., and Ray (Dorothy) Manderfeld of New Ulm; 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger in 1996; daughter, Judy Klooster in 2000; two brothers and a sister.

Mrs. Williams will be dearly missed by her loved ones. Memorials are preferred to Mankato Area Catholic Schools and St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church.

Janet E. Blomquist

Services for Janet E. Blomquist, of Maple Grove, were Saturday, March 29, 2003 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Brooklyn Park.

She passed away Sunday, March 23, 2003 after a valiant fight against cancer.

Interment was at Crystal Lake Cemetery.

Ms. Blomquist taught for 30 years at Evergreen Park Elementary School in Brooklyn Center.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara (Carl) Carlson; nephews, David Carlson, and Michael (Judy) Carlson; nieces, Susan (Rich) Ambrookian, Sandra (Michael) Coit; great-nieces and nephews, Kelly and Derek Carlson, Megan and Lindsey Carlson, Tina Ambrookian, Sara and Sean Coit.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or North Memorial Residence Hospice.

John R. Brucciani

Services for John R. Brucciani, 86, of St. Michael were Monday, March 24, 2003, at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo.

Rev. John P. Folkerds officiated. Entombment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.

Mr. Brucciani died Thursday, March 20, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

He was born March 13, 1917, in Minneapolis the son of Leo and Pia Pieri Brucciani.

On Oct. 21, 1939, John R. Brucciani and Luella I. Bachman were joined in holy marriage in Minneapolis. God blessed their marriage with two children.

He honorably served 28-and-a-half years as an officer in the Minneapolis Police Department, retiring in 1970.

He was also a former member of the Scottish Rite & Zuhrah Shrine. He belonged to Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo for the past 25 years.

Mr. Brucciani is survived by his loving wife, Luella I. Brucciani; children, Michael (Beverly) Brucciani of Lakeville and Shelia (Tom) Cochran of St. Michael; grandchildren, Ann (Greg) Lyon, Sarah (Dan) Burns, Ben (Mary) Brucciani, Kirsten (Jeff) Stevens and Karen Cochran; five great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Gloria Brucciani; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo & Pia Brucciani; a sister, Virginia Ricci; and brothers, Fred and Leonard Brucciani.

Pandei M. Cici

Services for Pandei M. Cici, 84, of Maple Grove were Thursday, March 13, 2003 at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church.

Mr. Cici passed away Saturday, March 8, 2003.

He worked for 32 years at Clark Engineering, where he worked as a civil engineer and partner.

Mr. Cici is survived by his daughters, Christine (Jeff) Cici-Cates, Michele Cici-Fremming, Alexandra (Jeff) Hunz-Ortman, Julia Cici; son, Michael (Michelle) Cici; 10 grandchildren; and former wife, Ingeborg Cici.

Memorials are preffered to St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church.

Arthur R. Gallus

Services for Arthur R. Gallus, 84, of Delano, were Tuesday, March 4, 2003, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Delano.

Rev. Michael Miller officiated and interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Delano.

Honorary bearers were grandchildren.

Mr. Gallus died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at the Delano Healthcare Center in Delano. He was born May 23, 1918 to Frank and Agnes (Pollock) Gallus in Helena, Mont.

He married Helen Leiter at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Delano Sept. 12, 1946. They raised six children in Delano. The couple were members of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Delano. Mr. Gallus was employed by the Delano Creamery for 24 years and spent 10 years working for the Delano Public School System.

Mr. Gallus was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific theater. He was at the assault landings, capture and defense of Guadalcanal. He was discharged Jan. 16, 1946, having received the honorable service button, good conduct medal and the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Delano American Legion Post 377.

Mr. Gallus was preceded in death by wife, Helen. He is survived by sons, David (Cathy) and Richard (Sue); daughters, Gail (Craig) McCannel, Fay Gallus and Dr. Richard Sweet, Becky (Jeff) Byington and Carrie (Rick) Perkins; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and sisters, Frances Bogenrief, Irene Miller and Helen VanBeusekom.

Francis M. Geurs

Services for Francis M. Geurs, 82, of Maple Grove/Corcoran were Friday, March 28, 2003 at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Corcoran.

Interment was at the St. Thomas Cemetery.

Mr. Geurs graduated in 1939 from Cretin High School. He was also a retired dairy farmer.

He was a lifelong member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the Men's Club. Mr. Geurs was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and the Corcoran Lions. He received the Melvin Jones Lions award and was a WCCO Good Neighbor.

Mr. Geurs is survived by his children, Mary Ann (Steve) Gmach, Patti (Dick) Rupert, Katie (Peter) Leuer, and David Geurs; grandchildren, Chris Gmach, Sara Mausser, Milissa Mann, Scott and Beth Rupert, Sue Newman, Bob, Jenny and Patrick Leuer; and great-grandson, Gordon Rupert.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary.

Memorials are preferred to the St. Thomas Church.

Ashley T. Fesler

Services for Ashley T. Fesler, 27, were Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at the House of Hope Lutheran Church in New Hope.

Graveside services were held in the maternal family plot at Pacific Lutheran Cemetery in Seattle, Wash.

She is survived by mother, Laurine and sister, Kristel of Maple Grove; and other relatives of the Seattle, Wash., area.

Special thanks to those from Homeward Bound who loved and cared for her throughout her life.

Lela Hamlin

The memorial service for Lela J. Hamlin (Wharton), 74, of Maple Grove was Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Victory Baptist Church of Maple Grove.

Mrs. Hamlin died Tuesday, March 4, 2003, while in the care of her daughter, Lori.

She is survived by her daughters, LeeAnn (Dick), and Lori Ann (Mike); grandchildren, Shawn (Amy), Erin (Jeff) and the newest addition due in May.

Mrs. Hamlin is preceded in death by her husband, Burnell.

The family would like to thank all her special friends that gave her so much love and support through the years.
