Helen R. Kramber
Services for Helen Rosella Kramber, 84, of Maple Grove, formerly of Buffalo, were Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at the Peterson Chapel in Buffalo.
Mrs. Kramber was a longtime bookkeeper of Kramber Construction.
She is survived by her mother, Emma Glunz of Delano; sons, Robert (Mary) Kramber of Tucson, Ariz., and Gerald (Sarah) Kramber of Monticello; daughters, Dolores (Gene) Chouinard of Elk River and Jeanette (Steve) Clouse of Litchfield; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Kramber is preceded in death by her husband, Thorvald Kramber; son, Russell Kramber; a baby daughter; and brother, Edward Glunz.
Pinky (Emma) Julig
Services for Pinky (Emma) Eva Julig, 71, of Rockford were Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, at the Church of St. Albert's in Albertville.
Father Peter Richards was the Celebrant for the funeral Mass. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Joseph Julig, Paul Borisevich, Peter Borisevich, Jim Borisevich, Douglas Laven and Jacob Laven.
Mrs. Julig was reunited with her husband, Joseph Julig on their 50th wedding anniversary on Valentines Day, 2003. She was an astounding example of how to gracefully live life with a terminal illness.
She was born May 31, 1931, in Henderson, Minn., the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Trebelhorn Reifschneider.
Pinky lived at Rockford Manor for seven years. She worked for a time at Dueber's Department Store in Rockford and at Loon Photography in Delano.
Following her diagnosis, she rediscovered her affection for crocheting and made special afghans for each member of her family.
She was an avid and vocal supporter of Minnesota sport's teams.
She made many dear friends in the Wright County area and was grateful for every one of them.
She is survived by children, Kathy (Peter) Borisevich of Crystal, Kris (John) Julig of Largo, Fla., Karen (Douglas) Laven of Buffalo and Joseph (Linda) Julig of Anoka; grandchildren, Lorry, Paul and Jim Borisevich; and Jacob and Lucas Laven; brothers and a sister, Ed (Millie) Reifschneider, Victor (Mart) Reifschneider, Ruth Tiegs and Harold (Barb) Reifschneider; many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her loving husband, Pinky was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Elizabeth Reifschneider; her infant son, John Julig; and by a sister, Esther.
Bernice Jernander
Services for Bernice T. Jernander, 86, of Minnetonka were Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at the Wasburn-McReavy Northeast Chapel in Minneapolis.
Mrs. Jernander is survived by her daughters, Connie (John) Benson of Henderson, Nev., and Carol Miller of Osseo; grandchildren, Vicki Benson, Christopher (Peg) Benson, Jamie (Matt) Wendt, Heidi Miller, and Scotty Miller; great-grandbaby-to-be, Benson; cousin, Elsie Nodholm; Jim Miller; many friends, neighbors, the Fairview Hospice Team, and Berkshire Residence staff.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; and brother, Vitalis Soderman.
Memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army or the Humane Society.
Mildred Kjelland
Services for Mildred "Milly" Kjelland, formerly of Champlin were held in Sacramento, Calif.
She will be buried next her husband, Roy at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Mrs. Kjelland died peacefully, Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003 of complications from Parkinson's disease at her daughter's home in Sacramento, Calif., with her children at her side.
She is survived by her children, Dan (Theresa) Kjelland, Dorothy (Phillip) Horning, Elizabeth (Ken) Sjulstad, John Kjelland, and Jaymee Kjelland; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kjelland is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Kjelland; and great-granddaughter, Lily Donovan.
Frances Lindquist
Services for Frances G. Lindquist, 88, of Little Falls were Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
Mrs. Lindquist died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003.
She is survived by her sons, Thor (Theresa) Lindquist of Little Falls, Karl (Jeanette) Lindquist of East Grand Forks, Alan (Barbara) Lindquist of Maple Grove, and Rolf (Layne) Lindquist of Grand Marais; daughter, Linnea (Gary) Dietrich of Apple Valley; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Becky Nelson
Services for Becky Nelson, 41, of Maple Grove were Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at the Maple Grove Evangelical Free Church.
Interment was at Maple Knoll Cemetery.
Mrs. Nelson died accidentally Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003.
She was employed at Landcor Construction and was known as a "Hockey Mom."
Mrs. Nelson is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Shari Nagel and Robby Nagel; parents, Ed and Sue Windsperger; siblings, Mike (Julie) Windsperger, Barb (Bob) Meissner, Bill (Janet) Windsperger, Steve (Terri) Windsperger, and Melissa (Dale) Weiman; many nieces and nephews; and father and mother-in-law, Jim and Dee Nelson.

Herbert H. Roufs
Services for Herbert Henry Roufs, 90, of Winsted were Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
He died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003, and was a longtime pharmacist.
Mr. Roufs is survived by his sons, Don (Sue) of Apple Valley, Richard (Myra) of Maple Grove, Dave (Sue) of Arlington, and Dennis (Patty) of Maple Grove; grandchildren, Dean, David (Renae), Dale (Laurie), Shelly (Dean), Robyn (Peter), Eric, Jarrod (Rae), Tara (Troy), Jessica, Dominic, Natalie, Jennifer (Bruce), Jason (Nicole), and Kimberly; and nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen; parents; four brothers and three sisters.
William Shipton
Memorial service for William Shipton, 86, of Maple Grove, formerly of Marshalltown, Iowa was Friday, Feb. 28, 2003 at Rose Arbor at Chapelwood in Maple Grove.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine; son, William C. Shipton; daughter, Susan (Tom) Mickelson; grandchildren, Jeremy (Teresa) Mickelson, Molly (Matt) Weidinger, Anne Mickelson and Steve Mickelson; great-grandson, Owen William Mickelson; sisters, Raena Wilhau and Vivian Trickey; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Shipton is preceded in death by his sister, Doris Seleine.
Walter K. Sorensen
Services for Walter K. Sorensen, 90, longtime resident of Hopkins and most recently of Maple Grove were Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at Washburn-McReavy Strobeck Johnson Chapel in Hopkins.
Mr. Sorensen died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a retired lathe operator from Northern Ordinance.
Mr. Sorensen is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Terry) Olson of Redmond, Wash., Patty Sorensen (Dave Foster) of Maple Grove; grandchildren, Brent Olson and Craig Olson (Tammi); great-granddaughter, Annika Olson; brother, Clarence Sorensen of Phoenix, Ariz.; and sister, Mary Henningsen.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Arline; brothers, Raymond, Alfred and Ernest; sisters, Lucille and Mildred.
Charles Spartz
Services for Charles Joseph "Chuck" Spartz, 45, of Osseo were Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Interment was at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
Mr. Spartz died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, in Robbinsdale. He was born Aug. 4, 1957, in Robbinsdale to Clarence and Dorothy Spartz.
Mr. Spartz was a member of the 49ers Union.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; father, Clarence Spartz; brothers, Patrick (Kathleen) and Paul; sisters, Margaret (Marvin) Langston, Andrea Spartz, Sharon Spartz, and Mary Kay (Jim) Reistad; parents-in-law, Alroy and Betty Barthel; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, John and Patti Jaeb, David and Karen Dehmer, Dan Barthel, Jeff and Luanne Carroll, Tim and Jean Lauth, and Tom and Jean Barthel; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Mr. Spartz is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy "Kim" Spartz; and grandmother, Margaret Kimler.
Memorials may be given to the Charles J. Spartz Memorial Fund.
George Tonn
Services for George H. Tonn, 84, of Osseo were Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Osseo. He died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 3, 2003.
Interment was at Glen Haven Cemetery.
Mr. Tonn was born in 1918 in Maple Grove.
He was also a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Osseo Fire Department.
Mr. Tonn is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lorna; children, Mary Moyle of Maple Grove, Bill (Cathy) Tonn of St. Louis Park, Tom (Barb) Tonn of Maple Grove, Kris (Bruce) Jasken of Anchorage, Alaska, and Nancy (Jim) Manos of White Bear Lake; grandchildren, Matt and Danna Moyle, B.J. Tonn, Derek and Kyle Tonn, Jason Jasken, Andy and Janel Manos; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carl and Ben; and sister, Leona.
Memorials may be given to the George H. Tonn Memorial Fund.
John William Tulkki
Services for John William Tulkki, 85, of Delano were Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Delano.
Rev. Jeff Hagaman officiated and interment was in St. Paul's Cemetery in Delano.
Pallbearers were John R. Tulkki, Burton Tulkki, Barry Tulkki, Hal Becker, Michael Tulkki and David Becker.
Mr. Tulkki died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003. He was born May 14, 1917, in Middleville Township to John and Amalia (Kitti) Tulkki.
He attended Macalaster College and the Minneapolis Business College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 in the European theater. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant in the 489th Ordinance Evacuation Company.
Mr. Tulkki worked for the Delano Granite Works for 36 years. He was active, serving on the Delano School Board and the Delano Power and Water Commission. He was treasurer of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Delano for 20 years. He was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Howard, Emil and Daniel. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy (Rieder); children, Janet (Paul) Kosower, John (Jean) Tulkki, Burton (Marcie) Tulkki, Barry Tulkki and Margie Peterson and Deanna (Hal) Becker; 14 grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Raymond Tulkki, Walter Tulkki, Agnes Kosola and Eva Johnson.
Alcuin H. "Al" Utsch
Services for Alcuin H. "Al" Utsch, 77, of Delano, formerly of St. Joseph, were Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Delano.
Fr. Michael Miller officiated and interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Delano.
Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Utsch died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, at the Delano Healthcare Center. He was born June 1, 1925 to Joseph and Anna (Jaeger) Utsch in St. Martin, Minn.
He married Lucille "Lou" Stalberger at St. Michael's Church in Spring Hill June 24, 1946. For several years the couple farmed in Spring Hill and then moved to St. Joseph. Mr. Utsch worked for Cold Spring Granite, St. Joseph Lumber and Delano Granite. In 1967, Mr. and Mrs. Utsch moved to Delano, where Mr. Ustch went into carpentry. He owned and operated Al H. Utsch Construction until his retirement in 1987.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Delano and served as an usher for many years. He was also a member of the Leland & Sons Coffee Clutch.
Mr. Utsch was preceded in death by an infant son; son, Joseph "Butch" and parents, Joseph and Anna.
He is survived by former wife, Lucille "Lou;" children, Marge (Lenny) Laudenbach of St. Cloud, Richard (Debbie) Utsch of Richmond, Pat (Glen) Stalboerger of Cold Spring, Joan (Bill) Graunke of Buffalo, Jean (Rob) Kosower of Phoenix, Ariz., Deb (Lee) Pfrogner of Stuart, Flor., Steve Utsch of Delano and Allen Utsch of Delano; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Elmer, Edwin and Gene and sister, Anita (Leonard) Weyer.
Laurie Wallin
Services for Laurie L. Wallin (Anderson), 45, of Osseo were Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at the Washburn-McReavy Columbia Heights Chapel.
She died unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 1.
Mrs. Wallin is survived by her father, Ewald Anderson; sisters, Joyce (Conroy) Townsend, Susan Risinger, and Donna (Tim) McGrath; brothers, Robert (Marie) Anderson and Gary Anderson; nine nieces and nephews; good friends, Chris Wallin, and Syd and Anisa Thompson.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ardes.
