Christian Doboszenski
Services for Christian Robert Doboszenski of Rockford were Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Our Father's Lutheran Church in Rockford.
Rev. Charles Anderson officiated, with music provided by Monica Mendez, organist, and Toots Sebring, vocalist.
Christian died unexpectedly on his day of birth.
He is the son of Charles and Kristin Doboszenski of Rockford.
Interment services were in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Loretto.
Christian was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Sangren; and his uncle, Chris Doboszenski.
He is survived by his parents, Charles and Kristin; his sister, Jayden; grandparents, Richard Doboszenski, Kathy Pettit, and Karen Sangren; aunts and uncles, Becky and Rochie Begin, Tom Sangren and Billy Doboszenski.
Ray Schulte
Services for Ray Schulte, 61, of Andover, formerly of Hutchinson, were Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at the Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.
He was born March 26, 1943, and died Aug. 16, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones in Andover.
Mr. Schulte worked at lumber and construction companies and recently retired from Structural Specialties after 31 years with the company.
He was a member of the Litchfield, Minn., National Guard, and Operating Engineers Local 49. He attended Alcoholics Anonymous in Dassel and enjoyed 15 years of sobriety. He also collected Allis-Chalmers tractors, and worked on farms and built bridges. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and a true friend to many. He will be forever missed.
Mr. Schulte is survived by his wife, Shirley Slater-Schulte; son, Keith Schulte; twin brother, Roy Schulte and his wife, Shirley; sister, Marlyce Janke; aunts, Grace Zumberg and Margaret Fischer; stepchildren, Dean Slater, Curt (Kim) Slater, Karla Davis (Larry), and Kim (Matt) Jansen; eight loving grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Virginia Retzlaff and Betty Jean Anderson and Skip; many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.
He was preceded by his grandparents; parents, Edwin and Minnie Schulte; brother, Lyle Schulte, and brother-in-law, Eldean Janke.
Interment at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Cedar Mills Township, Meeker County.
Jim Bostwick
A memorial service for Jim Bostwick, 55, of Dayton was Friday, Sept. 10, 2004.
He was a computer systems analyst at Cargill for 26 years, and founding member and first president of the Tri-County Thresher's Association.
Mr. Bostwick was preceded in death by father, James.
He is survived by wife, Eileen; daughter, Samantha; son, Jeffrey; mother, Elizabeth; sisters, Peg Bostwick (Joseph Bohr) and Anne (Mark) Dillaman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to National Hemophilia Foundation or American Lung Association.
David Krueger
Services for David Krueger, 49, of Dayton, formerly of Milaca, were Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004.
Mr. Krueger died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004. He was a teacher at Oxbow Creek Elementary School in Champlin.
He is survived by children, Devin and Raven; parents, Gene and Marguerite of Milaca; sister, Lynn (Mike) St. John of Andover; also by many other relatives and friends.
Memorials preferred to North Memorial Trauma Center.
Kenneth W. Scherer
Services for Kenneth W. Scherer, 75, of Osseo were Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, at Osseo United Methodist Church.
Mr. Scherer died on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004.
He was a life long employee of Clover Leaf Creamery and avid sports fan, a committed golfer, but most importantly, loved being a husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy; sons, Gregg, Curt (Gail), Ross (Dedra) and Dan (Kristie); grandchildren, Derek, Ella, Kaylin and Cooper; brother, Wally (Sylvia); and sister, Margaret Harris.
Mr. Scherer is preceded in death by his parents, Matt and Ellen Scherer; brothers, Ralph and Richard; sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Harold Naslund.
Memorials are preferred to the Osseo UMC or the American Red Cross.
Tracey (Miller) Hartman
A memorial service for Tracey (Miller) Hartman, 38, of Maple Grove was Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at Advent Lutheran Church in Maple Grove.
She was heart wrenchingly passed away Aug. 29, 2004.
She was a graduate of Osseo High School Class of 1984.
She is survived by her children, Joshua M. Hartman and Tina N. Hartman; parents, Joni and Vern Wehage; brother, Timothy E. Miller, Jr.; grandmother, Etta S. Miller; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Timothy E. Miller Sr.; and sister, Kelly Jo.
In lieu of flowers, family will accept memorials for Tracey's children.
Raymond H. Smith
A memorial gathering for Raymond H. Smith, 61, of Maple Grove was Monday, Sept. 6, 2004.
Mr. Smith died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 29, 2004.
He was the owner of All American Manufacturing.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; beloved pets, Nellie, Bitsy, and Baby; sister, Lynda (Scott) Buck; nephews, Craig, Cevin, and Lucas and their pet dog Pepper; cousins and many friends.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mae Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Heart Association. Along with the American Heart Association, Ray's family would encourage you not to smoke.
Marie K. Krattenmaker
Services for Marie K. Krattenmaker, 92, of Buffalo, formerly of Benson were Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson.
Reverend Steven Verhelst officiated. Burial was in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Murdock.
She died Monday afternoon, Aug. 30, 2004, at Lake Ridge Care Center in Buffalo. She was born Aug. 3, 1912, on a farm in rural Clara City, the daughter of Chris and Mary (Meier) Haas.
Mrs. Krattenmaker grew up on her parent's farm near Clara City. She attended school through the eighth grade. Marie worked as a waitress in the restaurant business.
On Sept. 15, 1938, she was united in marriage to John (Jack) Krattenmaker in Murdock by Father Walsh. To this union one son was born. Together, they were able to share in 30 years of marriage.
The family owned and managed various restaurants in the Kerkhoven and Benson area. After the birth of their son, she became a homemaker.
Mrs. Krattenmaker was an active member of the St. Francis Catholic Church Mission Group and a VFW Auxiliary member. She enjoyed her cottage on Lake Minnewaska, where she did gardening and canning, and where she made many helpings of dumpling soup for her grandchildren. She was always looking for a new recipe and willing to try any new game.
She developed many interests including: couponing, bingo, playing cards, ceramics and dominoes. But her greatest goal throughout the years was putting delicious and plentiful food on the table for her many guests.
She is survived by her devoted son, John (Cindy) of Montrose; grandson, John Ryan Krattenmaker a student at the University of Minnesota in Duluth; one granddaughter, Breanne Krattenmaker a student at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall; sisters-in-law, Lorraine Haas, Luella Guse Payne, Camille Krattenmaker and Catherine Kennedy; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Krattenmaker is preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 1969; her parents, Chris and Mary; eight sisters and four brothers.
Edward Durant
Services for Edward Francis Durant, 73, of Buffalo were Thursday, Sept. 2, 2004, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Buffalo.
Rev. Tom Rayar was the celebrant of the Mass. Tom Durant was the soloist and Rick Durant was the reader. Interment was in St. Mark's Catholic Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Randy Abel, Joey Eull, Rick Durant, Wayne Bobendrier, Gary Dahlheimer and Jay Durant.
Mr. Durant died peacefully Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 25, 1931, in Minneapolis son of Edward B. and Frances Grant Durant.
On Sept. 5, 1953, he was united in holy marriage to Jeanne A. Eull. God blessed their marriage with a daughter Teri.
He worked for 38 years at Honeywell. He was a member of the American Legion Post 270 at Buffalo. He was a kind man and enjoyed helping people.
Mr. Durant is survived by his daughter, Teri (Dana) Durant-Nelson of Richfield; brother, Dale (Noreen) Durant of Maple Lake; sisters, Phyllis Dahlheimer of Elk River, Frances Bartlett of Otsego, Mary (Darrell) Bobendrier of Rogers and Yvonne (LeRoy) Bach of Dayton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bernard Eull of Buffalo, Mercedes Varner of Buffalo, Ralph and Jean Eull of Cross Lake, Kenneth and Zita Eull of St. Michael, Aaron and Kathleen Eull of Albertville, Connie Eull of Elk River, Marian and Ray Altendorf of Maple Plain, Jeanette and Jim Able of Buffalo and Betty and Bill Conway of Plymouth, Verla Durant of St. Michael, Lucy Durant of Dayton and Roy Varner of Buffalo; uncle, John (Phyllis) Grant, Robbinsdale; also nieces, nephews many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Frances Grant Durant, his beloved wife Jeanne Jan. 6, 2004, and brothers Dennis and Earl Durant.
Evelyn R. Bolduc
Services for Evelyn R. Bolduc, 76, formerly of south Minneapolis and Greenfield, were Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenfield.
Mrs. Bolduc was a past employee of Minneapolis Truck Terminal.
She is survived by husband, David T. Bolduc of Osseo; daughter, JoAnne J. (James E.) Murray of Maple Grove; grandchildren, Jodi (Parc) Gunderson and James P. Murray; great-grandchild, Avery Gunderson; sister, Esther Johnson of Osseo; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mary Jane Jandl
Services for Mary Jane Jandl, 64, of Maple Grove were Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel.
Interment was at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Jandl died at her home surrounded by her family Monday, Aug. 23, 2004. She had fought a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. She was born Jan. 1, 1940.
She was a loving mother, wife, and friend. Mrs. Jandl dedicated herself to helping others - from her family to a needful stranger.
Her loving heart and cheerful nature will be missed by all.
She is survived by her proud and loving family: husband, Phil; children, Brent (friend Eve) Seals, Judy (friend Billy) Tuzun, and Michael (Sheila) Seals; former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Seals; step-children, Greg (Gail) Jandl and JJ Witherspoon; grandchildren, Ashley, Ayse, Willie, Trinity, Adam, Will, Halle, Ian and Bobby; brothers, Donald (Delores) Hansen, Curt Guptil, Gordon (Judith Sabin) Guptil and many other family and friends.
Mrs. Jandl is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Guptil.
She will remain in our hearts forever. Memorials are preferred.
