Clara Kuehn

Services for Clara S. Kuehn, 89 of Buffalo and formerly of Corcoran were Saturday, March 6, 2004, at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church in Corcoran.

Rev. George R. Kinney was the celebrant and interment followed at the parish cemetery.

Sue, Randy, Tony (Sandy) and Mark Kuehn, Cindy (Mike) Gapinski, Stacy, Kari and Jill Lambrecht, Shane (Jenny) and Chad (Michelle) Bermel, Tricia (Gene) Gruber, Rachel Kuehn, Kelley (Stuart) and Amanda Hagen, Brandie, Maddy and Donald Harrington served as honorary casket bearers.

Ricky Kuehn, Jodi Lambrecht, Travis Bermel, Josh Kuehn, Chris Hagen, Brian Gronsberg and Jonathon Harrington served as casket bearers.

Mrs. Kuehn died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at Sunrise Cottages in Buffalo.

She was born in St. Michael Nov. 16, 1914, the daughter of Mathias and Anna Kemmetmueller Eull.

On Nov. 8, 1939, Clara Eull and Paul Kuehn were joined in holy marriage at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. God blessed their marriage with eight children.

Mrs. Kuehn worked with her husband on their dairy farm in Corcoran. She also enjoyed gardening, music and her flowers. She was also known for her wonderful sense of humor.

She was a faithful member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Corcoran for 58 years and belonged to its Christian Mothers.

She was a resident of Sunrise Cottages in Buffalo for one-and-a-half years. She always created an atmosphere of spirit and energy by helping with the dishes, singing, praying, playing the organ and letting their Catholic dog wear her rosary.

She is survived by her children, Darwin Kuehn of South Haven, Darlene (Wallace) Lambrecht of Elk River, James Kuehn of Elbow Lake, Judy (Larry) Bermel of Hanover, Terry Kuehn of Loretto, Bonnie (Gregory) Hagen of Greenfield, Mary (Philip "Sam") Barnes of Hanover and Lisa (David) Harrington of Elbow Lake; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joan Herman of Anoka; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, April 7, 1999; her parents, Mathias and Anna; a grandson, Destry Bermel; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Kuehn; and 11 brothers and sisters.

MaryAnn Larsen

Services for MaryAnn Larsen, 72, of Osseo were Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at Central Lutheran Church in Fairfax.

Interment was at Hauges Cemetery in Fairfax.

Mrs. Larsen died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, in Brooklyn Center. She was born Aug. 24, 1931, in New Ulm.

She was a longtime resident of Osseo.

Mrs. Larsen is survived by her children, Chuck (Robin) Larsen, Tami (Doug) Christopher, and Jay Larsen; siblings, Dorothy (Vic) Christensen, Jean (Eugene) Hillmann, and Robert (Nola) Berg; grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Lindsay, Mathew, and Ashley; and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; and parents, Spencer and Anna Berg.

Meta Marks

Services for Meta Marks, 98, of Redwood Falls, were Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at Middle Creek United Methodist Church in Flora Township.

Ms. Marks died Friday, Jan. 9, at the Olive Ridge Home in Buffalo. Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the Salem United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, with burial in the Riverside Cemetery at Blue Earth.

Ms. Marks was born the daughter of G. Louis and Lydia (Finke) Schaefer April 25, 1905, in Sherburn, Martin County, Minn. She moved to Blue Earth in 1913 and then to Chicago in 1929. Ms. Marks attended school in Blue Earth and then attended the Metropolitan Business College. While living in Chicago she worked as a receptionist at a doctor's office in Oak Park, IL.

She married Rev. Roy Marks Aug. 4, 1934, in Wells. After their marriage they lived in Norcross until 1938, Luvern until 1942, then lived in Wells until 1949, Sleepy Eye until 1953, Redwood Falls unti1 1965, Buffalo Lake until 1972, Paynesville until 1985, serving a number of congregations in these communities and then moved back to Redwood Falls to live.

Ms. Meta wintered in Tempe, Ariz., from 1976 until 1995. She was a member of the Middle Creek Methodist Church in Flora Township, a member of the United Methodist Women Missions Group, served as a camp counselor working in church camps and youth fellowship during the summers, taught Sunday School, directed Christmas programs, served as a State Women's Society Officer. After her retirement she volunteered at the Willmar State Hospital (one to one), while in Arizona she was involved in projects for Child Crisis Centers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Miriam Schad and her husband Kenneth, of Dayton, and Mabel Jahnke and her husband, Jerome, of Redwood Falls; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Schaefer, of Blue Earth. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Roy E. Marks in 1974; seven brothers; and four sisters.

Floyd Matthees

Services for Floyd F. Matthees, 70, of Fairhaven and Ham Lake were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fairhaven.

Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Mr. Matthees died Feb. 27, 2004, He was born July 28, 1933, in Fairhaven, Minn., to Edwin and Marie (Hoffman) Matthees. He was an avid outdoorsman.

He is survived by his previous wife, Pauline; and his current wife, Gladys; his children, Glenn (Peggy), Judy (J.P.), David and Janet; step-children, Frank (Lauri) and Sandy; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and his brother, Lester (Norma).

He was preceded in death by his sister, LaVera.

Valrie Moon (Lucier)

Services for Valrie E. Moon (Lucier), 78, of New Hope were 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at the Church of St. Raphael (Holy Spirit Chapel), 7301 Bass Lake Rd.

Mrs. Moon died Jan. 11, 2004. She was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Corcoran, to parents William Lucier and Caroline Patnode Lucier.

She is survived by daughter, Cheryl (John) Neuberger; son, Todd Moon; grandchildren, Rachel, Renee, Anthony and Alex; sisters, Marcella (Cliff) Daleiden and Mary Lou (Jim) Lehn; nieces and nephews;

Mrs. Moon was preceded in death by husband, Donald C. Moon; parents, William and Caroline Lucier; and sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Kermit Nielsen.

Virginia Ann Newville

Services for Virginia Ann Newville, 79, were Friday, March 5, 2004, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Delano.

Interment was in West Mt. Olive Cemetery.

Mrs. Newville was born Nov. 16, 1924 in Beaman, Iowa to Clarence and Norma (Eimers) Newville. She served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was honorable discharged in 1946 with the rank of Storekeeper Disbursing Third Class.

She married Marvin Krause Dec. 19, 1947. They farmed side by side on their farm south of Delano. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 12 years and was a star volunteer driver for Wright County Human Services and the Delano Senior Center until nine months before her death.

She is survived by husband, Marvin of 56 years; daughters, Susan (Mike) McDonough of Montrose, Kathy (Roger) Elletson of Maple Lake, Mary (Brad) Henning of Golden Valley and Carol (Dick) Merriman of Warroad; sons, Eugene (Louise) of Long Prairie, Carl (Brenda) of Fergus Falls, Donald of St. Michael and Greg (Lisa) of Delano; 26 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Hazel Brown and brother, Clarence (Sally) Newville of Waterloo, Iowa. She was preceded in death by parents; infant son, Martyn and brothers, Darrell and Lewis Newville.

Theodore Nichols

Services for Theodore Hamilton "Ted" Nichols, 49, of rural Howard Lake were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at The Church of St. Mary in Waverly.

Rev. Timothy Cloutier, Rev. Martin Shallbetter and Rev. Dan Ostdiek, O.P. were the Concelebrants. Private interment was at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Dave Shore, Ed Reilly, Fran Ratka, Bernie Schmitt, Jerry Simpson and Ole Olson.

Mr. Nichols died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. He was born April 23, 1954, in Minneapolis the son of Richard O. and Janice Hamilton Nichols.

On Feb. 7, 1981, Theodore "Ted" Nichols and Lois Boehlke were joined in holy marriage at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly. Father Martin Shallbetter officiated at the wedding ceremony. God blessed their marriage with three children.

He was employed for many years at NSP's Nuclear Plant.

He was a member of The Church of St. Mary in Waverly.

Mr. Nichols is survived by wife, Lois Nichols; children, Ross Hamilton Nichols, Nicole Ann Nichols and Jade Elizabeth Nichols, all at home; parents, Richard and Janice Nichols of San Diego; a sister and brothers, Gay (Gregg) Jandro of Chaska, Jim (Denise) Nichols of Corcoran and Bill (Sheri) Nichols of Chaska; mother-in-law, Ann Boehlke of Waverly; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Edward (Lorraine) Boehlke of Waverly, RoseAnn Boehlke of Elk River, Elroy Boehlke of Waverly, Everett (Tammy) Boehlke of Howard Lake, Elwin (Becky) Boehlke of Buffalo, JoAnn (Jonathan) Dimino of Bayville, N.J., and Eugene (Rita) Boehlke of Waverly; Godchild, Bridget Boehlke; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by a brother: Robert Nichols in 1977 and by his father-in-law: Edward Boehlke Sr. in 1975.

Memorials are preferred to the family.

Eleanor F. Peloquin

Services for Eleanor F. Peloquin, 87, are today Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at 1 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park.

Interment will be at St. John's Cemetery in Hugo.

Mrs. Peloquin died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, in New Hope. She was born Sept. 10, 1916, in Hugo.

She is survived by her children, Gail, Bill Sr. (Linda), Ken (Linda), and Bob; three brothers and four sisters; grandchildren, Joe, April, Jamie, Bill Jr., Jared and Josh; great-grandchildren Tom, Alexis and Alexsis.

Mrs. Peloquin is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; parents and two brothers.

Darlene Peters

Services for Darlene Peters, 61, of Redwood Falls were Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.

Rev. Jonathan M. Kruschel officiated.

She Peters died Friday, Jan. 30, at her daughter's residence in St. Michael after a five-year, 10-month battle with cancer.

She was born July 24, 1942 in Renville County the daughter of Sylvan and Frances Boklep Kissner.

She was formerly employed and a dedicated worker for 35 years at Artysen Technology.

She is survived by parents, Sylvan and Frances Kissner of Granite Falls; a son, Shawn Peters and fiancee Megan O'Neill of Buffalo; daughters, Tamara (Gary) Lancaster of Florida, Connie Peters of St. Michael and Ronda (Paul) Iverson of Buffalo; grandchildren, Erin Lancaster, Danielle Iverson, Andrew Iverson and Madilyn Peters; brothers and sisters, Robert (Jolene) Kissner of Mille Lacs Lake, Denny (Darlene) Kissner of Redwood Falls, Vernon (Janice) Kissner of Minneapolis, Kenny (Lori) Kissner of Granite Falls, Sharon (Denny) Bannon of California, Elaine Kissner and Shawn Casserly of Minneapolis; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; friends, Stan Fischer of Danube and Andy of St. Michael.

She was married to Heye Peters Jr. for 35 years. She was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Kissner; and a brother, Ronald Kissner.

Danielle Sanches

Mass of Christian Burial for Danielle Sanches, 16, of Champlin was Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at St. Gerard Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park.

Danielle was a junior at Champlin Park High School. She wore No. 10 for the Champlin Park varsity soccer team and the Rebels Soccer Club. A free spirit, Danielle was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend.

She is survived by her parents, David and Susan; brother, Nickolas; grandma, Elizabeth Mernik; aunts and uncles, Kathleen (David) Johnson, Annette Swanson, Gene Mernik, Marcia (Jeff) Parkinson, Ronald Sanches, Robert (Carol) Sanches, Theresa (Brian) Wahl and Dee (Tom) Baker; many special cousins; special friend, Jeff; and the U17 Girls Rebel Soccer Team.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Danielle's name to a memorial fund to be established.

Ruby V. Stafsholt

Services for Ruby V. Stafsholt, 81, of Glendale, Wis., formerly of the Brooklyn Park and Osseo area, were Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at the Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Osseo.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Mrs. Stafsholt died Jan. 1, 2004, in Glendale, Wis. She was born July 25, 1922, in St. Croix, Wis.

She is survived by her son, John (Mary) Knight of Brainerd; daughters, Sharon (Robert) Vogler of Germantown, Wis., and Cheryl (Charles) Feather of Woodbury; sister, Pearl Bonte of New Richmond, Wis.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Stafsholt is preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence Goosens, Edison Knight and Norman Stafsholt; and daughter, Jeanne Knight.

Jason J. Stang

Services for Jason J. Stang, 33, of Maple Grove were Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Brooklyn Park.

Interment was at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.

Mr. Stang died suddenly Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, in Robbinsdale. He was born Sept. 1, 1970 in Robbinsdale.

He is survived by his parents, Gloriann (Giz) and Ray Stang of Maple Grove; brother, Jeremy and fiancée Dawn Olson and her children Kailey and Alicia of Champlin; sister, Amanda and fiancé Nicholas Negrini of Maple Grove; grandmother, Delores Eveslage of St. Cloud; also by aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorials are preferred to the charity of the donor's choice.
