Helen Polymeros

Services for Helen J. Polymeros, 81, of North Oaks were Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Circle Pines.

Interment was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Mrs. Polymeros died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005.

She was preceded in death by parents, Fred and Clara Hendrickson; brothers, Russ and Ike; and sister, Lucille "Sis" Greengo.

She is survived by husband of 59 years, William; sons, John (Laura Kyllander) and Dean (Sue); grandchildren, Andrea (Tony), Russell, Jody (Steve), Vicki, Melanie (Erik), and Sara; five great grandchildren; and special loved one, Ginny Schimmel.

Laurel K. Becker

Services for Laurel K. Becker were Thursday, Feb. 3 at Advent Lutheran Church in Maple Grove.

Mrs. Becker died Monday, Jan. 31. She was buried in Greenwood Methodist Cemetery in Burschville.

Mrs. Becker will be deeply missed by her husband of 39 years, Wayne; her four children, Jay (Jenny) of Ramsey, Gretchen (Jon) Peterson of Big Lake and Ryan of Maple Grove; grandchildren, Ashley, Brian, Allison, Brady, Mary, Nathan, Brett, Blake and Beau; sisters, Judy Cedar and Sherri Johnson (Pete Heydt); aunts, Georgia Bursch and Betty Nelson and many more family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Irys Johnson and uncle, Edwin Bursch.

Mrs. Becker was a woman of strong faith, love and kindness. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, cousin, niece, daughter-in-law and friend. She enjoyed reading, live theater, music and time with family and friends. She retired from the US Postal Service.

Thank-you to family, friends and Fairview Hospice staff for all the loving care and support.

Linda Erie

Services for Linda Erie, 52, of Maple Grove were Saturday, Feb. 5 at Nativity Lutheran Church in St. Anthony.

Mrs. Erie's father, Gilbert Gripentrog, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Jerry; son, Sean (Tammy) Walsh; grandchildren, Breanna and Blake; mother, Charlotte (Wilton) Lobitz; step-children, Todd, Troy, Tami and Lisa; brothers, Ron (Tracy) Gripentrog and Richard (Kathy) Gripentrog; sister, Bertina (Noel) Busch; many nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed gardening, birds and her Weiner dogs.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Assn. are preferred.

Myrna M. Mayket

Services for Myrna M. Mayket, 67, of Maple Grove, were Thursday, Feb. 3 at Advent Lutheran Church in Maple Grove.

Mrs. Mayket was preceded in death by her parents, Herschel and Mabel Swigart; her brother, Carlos Swigart and her sister, Mavis Danielson. She is survived by her husband, Tom; her son, Michael, of St. Louis Park and her nephew, Scott, of Mississippi.

If so desired, memorials may be given to the Myrna M. Mayket Memorial Fund.

Eleanor Zimmerman

A funeral to celebrate the life of Eleanor (Olson) Zimmerman, 88, of Osseo/ Big Lake was held on her birthday, Saturday, Feb. 5 at Osseo United Methodist Church in Osseo.

Mrs. Zimmerman passed away peacefully on Feb. 1 at the Monticello Big Lake Hospital. She was buried at Mound Cemetery, Brooklyn Center.

She was born Feb. 5, 1916.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Les; parents, Alice and Olaf; brother, Donald and one of her best friends, Pauline Roehl, of California.

Mrs. Zimmerman is survived by her children Jerry (Diane), Jean (Jim) Dodds, Joan (Dennis) Rosengren, Joyce (Dennis) Schreiber, Robert (Connie) and Mark; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Dolores (Don) Olson and family and Lillian (Alex) Zimmerman; many nieces and nephews; cousins, Barbara Harman and Pearl Olafson; along with her best friend Lois Joslyn.

Memorials to Osseo United Methodist Church are preferred in lieu of flowers.

Louise A. Ackerman

Services for Louise A. Ackerman, 81, of Maple Grove are Wednesday, Feb. 9, at the Evans-Nordby Funeral Home, 34 Second St. N.E. in Osseo.

Mrs. Ackerman died Friday, Feb. 4, and will be interred at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, daughter Michelle Brusk, and son Ken Williams.

Mrs. Ackerman is survived by daughter Jolene (Warren) Taylor, brother Louie Miszkowitz, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Margaret Hahn

A funeral service for Margaret Hahn, 84, formerly of Willmar, Minn., was Saturday, Feb. 5, at Advent Lutheran Church in Maple Grove. She was interred at Maple Knoll Cemetery.

Mrs. Hahn was born Oct. 6, 1920, in Lac Qui Parle County, Minn., to Conrad and Cora Oien. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Eunice and Jean, and infant granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth. She passed away Monday, Jan. 31.

Mrs. Hahn is survived by loving husband Darrel; children Cathryn (Richard) Steininger and Evelyn (Norman) Onnen; grandchildren Erika Steininger, Matthew (Lisa) Onnen and Sarah Onnen; and great grandchildren Victoria, Matthew, Jr., and Richard.

Lucille M. Utsch

Services for Lucille M. Utsch, 80, of Cold Spring, formerly of Delano, were Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, Minn.

Rev. Cletus Connors officiated the service with music provided by the Resurrection Choir. Nichole Utsch served as soloist, Lisa Drontle as organist and Julie Ludwig performed the role of cantor and music director.

Interment services took place in the Calvary Cemetery in Delano.

Mrs. Utsch died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at the Assumption Home in Cold Spring, Minn. Formerly of St. Joseph and Delano, she was born Aug. 12, 1924, to Math and Elizabeth (Haider) Stalberger in Spring Hill, Minn.

Known as Lou to her friends, she was united in marriage to Alcuin H. Utsch on June 24, 1946, at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Spring Hill. For several years the couple farmed in Spring Hill before moving to St. Joseph, Minn. In 1967, the couple moved the family to Delano.

Mrs. Utsch was employed by the Charles Sweatt family of Wayzata for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and especially spending time with her family. Her freshly baked cookies were a favorite for all the neighborhood children. She was Granny Lou to all the neighboring kids.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Al; an infant son; son, Joseph "Butch" Utsch; her parents; and brothers, Bob and Cyril Stalberger.

She is survived by her children, Marge and Lenny Laudenbach of St. Cloud, Richard and Debbie Utsch of Richmond, Pat and Glen Stalboerger of Cold Spring, Joan and Bill Graunke of Buffalo, Jean and Rob Kosower of Phoenix, Ariz., Deb and Lee Pfrogner of Stuart, Fla., Steve Utsch of Delano, and Allen Utsch of Delano; 18 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sisters, Gennie Lieser, Joan Winter, Millie Spanier, Betty and Don Barton and Bernice Welle; brothers, Ray Stalberger and Math and Carol Stalberger.

Orpah C. Schmidt

Services for Orpah C. Schmidt, 86, of Delano, were Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Delano.

Rev. Paul Marggraf officiated with music provided by Karen Becker, organist, with congregational singing.

Mrs. Schmidt died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at her home in Delano. She was born Nov. 15, 1918, to Fred and Frieda (Baumhefner) Kloth in Norwood, Minn.

Mrs. Schmidt was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcia and Tom McDougall; grandchildren, Doug and Tracy Fabel, Mike and Kendra Fabel and Kathryn McDougall; six great grandchildren; sister, Lois Meyer; and brother, Stanley Kloth.

Ruth Mary Segner

Services for Ruth Mary Segner, 88, of Watertown, were Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mound.

Rev. Stan Mader officiated at the Mass, with music provided by Linda Hermann, organist-cantor, with congregational singing. Casket bearers were Daniel Segner, Zachary Segner, Richard Lopez, Jeffery Swanson, Keith Segner and Joshua Segner.

Mrs. Segner died Sunday, Jan. 30, at the Delano Health Care Center in Delano. She was born May 24, 1916, to William and Catherin (Tellers) Bueche in Norwood, Minn.

Mrs. Segner was preceded in death by her husband, Frank. She is survived by her children, Loretta Hermann, Rosemary and Carl Swanson, Mary Ann Segner, Catherine Segner, and Dennis Segner, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pamela O'Lenick

A memorial service for Pamela Jeanne (Vogt) O'Lenick, 55, of Champlin, formerly Glencoe, was Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at Peace Church in Glencoe.

Mrs. O'Lenick died of complications following a head injury Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Thomas; three daughters, Courtney Jeanne Godeen (Aaron), Kimberly Ruth and Andrea Maxine; and two grandchildren, Emma Jeanne Godeen and Madison Marie Noyola-O'Lenick.

A 1973 speech and broadcasting graduate of St. Cloud State University, she worked as a radio copywriter in St. Cloud and for Sears in Minneapolis for 12 years before becoming a full-time homemaker. Having survived three prior strokes, she remained a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Dorothy A. Rytkonen

Services for Dorothy A. Rytkonen, 84, of Buffalo/St. Michael, were Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at Buffalo United Methodist Church with Rev. Ruth Ann Ramstad officiating.

Interment followed at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Mrs. Rytkonen died Jan. 29 at the Buffalo Hospital. She was born April 22, 1920, in Wadena to the late Aaron and Dorothy (Burrell) Roberts. She grew up on a farm near Wadena. She graduated from New York Mills High School. She was united in marriage to Einar Rytkonen June 6, 1942.

The couple lived in New York Mills until moving to Minneapolis in the early 1950s. They lived in Minneapolis until 1969 when they moved to Beebe Lake near St. Michael.

In 1977, she moved to Buffalo. She was employed as a bookkeeper for the Teamsters Union for many years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, needle crafts, fishing and traveling. Most recently, her passion was studying genealogies.

She was an active member of the Buffalo United Methodist Church for many years. Her family and friends will remember her for her strong faith, compassionate nature and sense of humor.

Survivors include daughters, Sandra Flanders of Northridge, Calif., and Elizabeth Rytkonen of St. Michael; brother, Lory (Mary) Roberts of Minneapolis; sisters, Betty (Everett) Johnson of New York Mills, Wilma Roberts of Brainerd, Alice King of Roseburg, Ore; grandchildren, Jillane (Konstantin) Kapirin of Northridge, Calif., and Sacha Orozco of St. Michael; sister-in-law, Dorothy Roberts of Chugiak, Alaska.

She was preceded in death by parents, Aaron and Dorothy (Burrell) Roberts; husband, Einar Rytkonen; son, Donald Rytkonen; brother, Bruce Roberts; and sister, Phyllis Roberts.

Trevor S. Lene (Milless)

Services for Trevor S. Lene, 26, of Evansville were Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at Petermeiers Funeral Home in Alexandria, with Rev. Daniel Christ officiating.

Pallbearers were Cary P. Lene, Douglas Lene, Carris Welke, Jesse Milless, Josh Milless and Shane McLaughlin.

Mr. Lene died Jan. 20 at his home. He was born Sept. 16, 1978, in Princeton. He moved to the Alexandria area in 1996 with his fiancée, Alicia Close.

He is survived by fiancée, Alicia Close; son, Quinton, 5; daughter, Destiny, 1; mother, Celeste Wells; step-father, Greg Wells; father, James Milless and wife Lisa; grandparents, Eileen Lene, LeRoy Lene Sr. and his wife Betty Sue, Diane and Gerald Milless; great-grandma Martin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Cary Lene; aunt Lorilei Nathie; and great-grandma Milless.

Anita Dixon

Services for Anita C. Dixon, 81, of Rockforfd Township were Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rockford.

Mrs. Dixon leaves to mourn daughter, Karen (Dale) Jans and son, Darvis Dixon, all of Buffalo; son-in-law, Mark Hauge of Beaverton, Ore.; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters, Hertha Dixon of Buffalo and Agatha (Harvey) Schulze of Rockford; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Kenneth C. Dixon; daughter, Andrea Hauge; her parents; a brother and two brothers-in-law.
