Luella Dick

Services for Luella Dick, 74 of St. Michael were Saturday, June 18, 2005, at 11 a.m. at The Church of St. Michael in St. Michael with Rev. Michael Becker officiating.

Visitation was Friday, June 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at The Peterson Chapel of St. Michael-Albertville. Interment was in St. Michael Cemetery.

Music was provided by the St. Michael Resurrection choir.

Mrs. Dick died peacefully at home Wednesday, June 15. Luella Theresa Kasper was born June 24, 1930, in St. Michael to the late Alois and Ottilia (Kolles) Kasper. She grew up on a farm near St. Michael and attended school in Buffalo. On Nov. 11, 1950, she was united in marriage to F. Harvey Dick at The St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. God blessed their marriage with six children. Luella was a homemaker and also worked outside the home for many years at Ron-Vik in Golden Valley. She was a faithful member of St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael.

She is survived by children, James (Lisa) Dick of St. Michael, Jean (William) Herzog of Elk River, Ronald (Joan) Dick of Monticello, Randy Dick, Edward (Staci) Dick and Douglas (Kris) Dick, all of St. Michael; 22 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosetta (Fritz) Swanberg, LaVerne (Merle) Dahlheimer, Esther (Lowell) Berning, Alice Eicher and Lenore (Howard) Eicher; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna Mae (Melvin) Daleiden; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband, Harvey Dick; parents, Alois and Ottilia (Kolles) Kasper; brother, Lloyd "Buddy" Kasper; brother-in-law, Alvin Eicher; father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Walter and Leona Dick.

Terrence Anselment

Services for Terrence Paul "Terry" Anselment, 71, of Albertville were Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at St. Albert Catholic Church in Albertville.

Rev. Peter Richards was the Celebrant and interment followed at St. Albert Cemetery.

Music was done by Mary Lou, Wayne, Shawn and Adam Kolles, Mona Martin and Rachel Kimmerle.

Casket bearers were Gary Barthel, Luke Barthel, Jeff Bokusky, Josh Bokusky, Brandon Zachman, Don Zachman and Dustin Zachman.

Mr. Anselment died Saturday, June 11, at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. He was born Sept. 1, 1933, in Albertville the son of Andrew and Georgia Durr Anselment.

He graduated from Elk River High School in 1951.

On Feb. 23, 1957, Terry Anselment and Rosalie Lehn were joined in holy marriage at St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. God blessed their marriage with five children.

Mr. Anselment was formerly employed as a linotype operator at Hayward Publishing.

He enjoyed taking care of his yard, music and crossword puzzles. He had a great sense of humor.

He was a lifelong member of St. Albert Catholic Church in Albertville. He also was a past member of the Albertville Lions Club.

Survived by wife, Rosalie Anselment; daughters, Kim Pouliot, Karen (Don) Zachman, Shelly (Gary) Barthel and Jennifer Tice; grandchildren, Andrea and Shaylyn; Dustin, Brandon and Josie; Amanda, Luke and Nicole; Britney and Kali Jo; great-grandchildren, Keith, Anthony, Kaitlyn and Alexandra; a sister, Shirlie Bokusky; brothers, Glenn (Carol) Anselment and Dale (Lorraine) Anselment; mother-in-law, Eveline Lehn; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents: Andrew and Georgia Anselment; a daughter, Mary Jo, accidentally in 1975; an infant brother, Wayne; an infant sister, Marilyn; and father-in-law, Elmer Lehn.

Gary Hanson

Services for Gary J. Hanson, 54 of Albertville, formerly of Columbia Heights, were Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at the Peterson Chapel ­ St. Michael-Albertville.

Rev. Philip Geoffrion officiated. Music was provided by Marlene Mohwinkel on the organ and Rolf Mohwinkel as soloist. Music selections were "On The Wings of A Snow White Dove," "The Lord's Prayer" and "On Eagle's Wings."

Mr. Hanson died Saturday, June 11, at Buffalo Hospital. Gary James Hanson was born April 13, 1951, in Minneapolis the son of Dale and Margaret (Cellette) Hanson.

He grew up in Columbia Heights and graduated from Columbia Heights High School. He was a manager for Holiday Stationstore for 25 years. He has been employed at Top Industrial since 1995 where he was currently a sales manager.

He was united in marriage to Candace Cade July 21, 1984. The couple lived in Columbia Heights for 13 years before moving to Albertville. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Albertville Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Candace of Albertville; daughter, Lindsey of Albertville; mother, Margaret of New Brighton; siblings, Raymond (Sue) Hanson of Zimmerman, Elaine (Warren) Kampa of Blaine; David (Renee) Hanson of East Bethel, Ronald (Kathy) Hanson of New Brighton, Alan Hanson of East Bethel, Charles (Pamela) Hanson of Fridley, and Colleen (Mike) Arford of Ham Lake and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Hanson; and step-father, Howard Mumbleau.

Kevin W. Zachman

Services for Kevin William Zachman, 46, of Big Lake were Thursday, June 16, 2005, at St. Albert Catholic Church in Albertville with Rev. Peter Richards officiating.

Mr. Zachman died at his home. He was born Oct. 12, 1958, in Buffalo the son of Joseph and Marlene Zachman. He grew up in the St. Michael area and graduated from St. Michael High School in 1977.

He worked for M.A. Mortenson Construction in Minneapolis and for the past two years at Frana & Sons in Minneapolis. He was a member of the Albertville Volunteer Fire Department for 22 years, Local 49 for 25 years, St. Albert Catholic Church and a past member of Albertville Jaycees club.

He is survived by son, Joseph of Big Lake; daughter, Alicia of Albertville; parents, Joseph and Marlene of St. Michael; siblings, Keith (Mary) Zachman of Redding, Calif., Karen (Scott) Enfield of Maple Grove, Kent (Caroline) Zachman of Buffalo, Kathy (David) Weber of St. Michael, Karla (Steve) Sorensen of Big Lake and Krista Zachman of Chanhassen; grandmother, Margaret Dischinger of Rogers; godchildren, Nicholas Zachman, Shalyn Vetsch, Bradley Wulf and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alphonse and Emily Zachman and Leo Dischinger.

James C. Cooksey

Services for James C. Cooksey, 52, of Maple Grove were Friday, June 10, 2005, at Elim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale.

Interment was at Glen Haven Cemetery.

Mr. Cooksey died suddenly Sunday, June 5, 2005.

He was the owner of Blunt Carlson Carpet (Abbey Carpet of Hopkins), chapter leader of the Minnesota Hope Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children, Inc. and member of Elim Lutheran Church.

Mr. Cooksey was dedicated to his family, customers, and to homicide survivors.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Linda; his devoted son, Dan; mother, Joan; brothers, Ken (Linda), Kevin, and Bob; his nephews, Kyle and Matthew Cooksey and Jeffrey Jones; his nieces/goddaughters, Beth Cooksey and Jennifer Pickens; in-laws, George and Marjorie Jones; brothers-in-law, Gary (Caryl) Jones, Ron (Lynn) Jones; his dog, Molly; and many relatives and friends.

Mr. Cooksey is preceded in death by his beloved 14 year old daughter, Jamie; father, Duane; and grandparents.

Memorials are preferred to Parents of Murdered Children, Inc., PO Box 516, Circle Pines, MN 55014 or Elim Lutheran Church.

Richard T. Morgan

Services for Richard T. "Dick" Morgan, 77, of Maple Grove, formerly of Webb Lake, Wis. were Monday, June 13, 2005, at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Webster, Wis.

Interment was at Sacred Heart Church Cemetery.

Mr. Morgan passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2005, after a long and courageous battle with many major ailments.

He retired from both St. Louis Park Police Department, as well as Webb Lake Police Department in Burnett Co., Wis.

Mr. Morgan served in the US Navy during WWII (Guam) and the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Webb Lake Volunteer Fire Department and Webb Lake Men's Club, for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, of 55 years; children, Dan (Pam) Morgan, Denise (Joel) Wintheiser, Dawn (Terry) Kremmin, Doug (Kim) Morgan and Darcy (Tom) Long; grandchildren, Chris, Katie, Molly, Rick, DeAnna, Michelle, Michael, Bobbie, Robin, Brandon and Amy; great-grandchildren, Logan, Wyatt, Jacob, Alec and Dylan; brother-in-law, Fred (LaRae) Irrthum; sisters-in-law, Deana (Gene) Duray and Patricia Morgan; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Mr. Morgan is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle.

Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association.

Grace Griffith

Services for Grace L. Griffith, 72, of Mundelein, Ill., were in Mundelein. Graveside service was Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at St. John's Episcopal Cemetery, Hassan Township.

Rev. Leonard Freeman officiated at the service. Rolf Mohwinkel sang "Amazing Grace."

Mrs. Griffith died June 2 at Westmoreland, Lake Forest Hospital. She was born April 26, 1933, in Minneapolis.

Mrs. Griffith is survived by her children, Darcy Anderton, Holly Griffith, Jay Griffith and Jeff (Michelle) Griffith; her brothers, Robert Morris and James Morris; her sister, Margie (Paul) Enck; and five grandchildren.

Henry Knapp

Services for Henry J. "Hank" Knapp, 86, of Rogers were Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic Church, formerly St. Martin's, in Rogers with interment at St. Martin's Cemetery.

Mr. Knapp was born Oct. 13, 1918, in Richfield, and died June 2 in Monticello.

Survivors are sisters, Ida Enos and Clara Friendshuh; children Carl (Sharon), Earl (Judy), Jerry (Linda), David (Beverly), John (Mary), Mary Zachman, Ann (Richard) Beach, Lucy (Jeff) Markfort, and Paul; 29 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wife of 52 years, Margaret Friendshuh; brothers, George and Frank; son, Roger; grandson, Andrew Zachman; and granddaughter, Sara Beach.

In 1951, Hank and Margaret Knapp purchased a Chevrolet/Allis-Chalmers implement dealership and moved his growing family from Bloomington to Rogers and an 80-acre dairy farm. These two business ventures continued to grow over the years when son, Jerry, took over the family farm in 1970, followed by Mr. Knapp's retirement in 1988.

He had 37 years with Chevrolet and Allis-Chalmers. He later filled his retirement years with woodworking projects and gardening his gladiolas, peonies and vegetables, fishing and yard work.

Memorials may be given to the Henry J. Knapp Memorial Fund.

Edwin C. Malwitz

Services for Edwin C. Malwitz, 88, of Osseo were Friday, June 24, 2005, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Maple Grove.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Mr. Malwitz died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, in Osseo. He was born Feb. 18, 1917, in Howard, S.D.

He is survived by his sons, Michael (Judy) of Orlando Park, Ill., and Robert of Annandale; daughters, Nina (Jon) Theis of St. Michael, Gail (Paul) Kupferschmidt of Columbus Township, and Lynn (Roosevelt) Jones of Minneapolis; brothers, Wilbur, Len and Arlo; sisters, Clarice Abraham and Viola Paulson; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Malwitz is preceded in death by his wife, Arlene.

If so, desired memorials may be given to the Edwin C. Malwitz Memorial Fund.

Eldora C. Stuhr-Buhil

Eldora C. Stuhr-Buhil, age 88, of Buffalo, formerly Marysville Township, died Friday, June 10, 2050 at Sunrise Cottages in Buffalo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2005 at the Church of St. Mary in Waverly, MN, with Father Timothy Cloutier officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Marysville Cemetery in Marysville Township. Music will be provided by Mae Wannarka on the organ with the St. Mary's Funeral Choir singing "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace".

Eldora Cecelia Dahlin was born on May 27, 1917 in Marysville Township, Wright County, Minnesota to the late Harry & Isabell (DeMars) Dahlin. She was a life long resident of the area. She graduated from Buffalo High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper at REA in Maple Lake and also at the Waverly Bank, Graham Bank, in Waverly. She was united in marriage to Roy Stuhr on November 26, 1941. Thee couple had one daughter, Vernette. They farmed north of Waverly. After being a widow for many years, she met and married Edward Buhil on September 16, 1981. Ed and Eldora enjoyed traveling, fishing and square dancing. They sold their farm home and moved to a condo in Montrose. Eldora has been a widow since 1987. She lived in Montrose until moving to assisted living in Buffalo.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waverly, the Senior Citizen Centers in Waverly and Montrose and the American Legion Auxiliary #305 in Waverly.

Survivors include her daughter, Vernette (Chris) Pittman of Walden, NY; step-children, Evelyn (Marvin) Grimm of Carver, Helen (Russell) Ruzynski of Lino Lakes, Loretta (Sevrin) Bucksa of Coon Rapids, Harold (Peggy) Buhil of Fridley, James (Sandra) Buhil of Fridley; and many nieces nephews and step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; brothers and husbands, Roy Stuhr & Edward Buhil.

The Peterson Chapel of Buffalo served the family.

Orphie Pekula

Services for Orphie Pekula, 57, of Champlin were Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka.

She was preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Lila Ronningen; sisters, Lorraine Anderson, Arlene Haugstad and Jane Lyden.

Survived by husband, Bill; children, Michelle (Tim) Hanson, Jeffrey Pekula and Melissa Pekula; grandchildren, Nicolette, Miranda and Devin Hanson, and Alex Pekula; brother, Lyle (Rose) Lerbakken; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery. Special thanks to all the nurses and staff that helped with her care. Memorials preferred to the ALS Foundation.
