Emily Bell
Funeral services for Emily N. Bell, 92, Anoka, took place July 11 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Penny Fritze-Tietz officiated.
Bell died July 7, 2002 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. She was born Feb. 7, 1910 in Roosevelt to Fred G. and Hildur E. (Nelstrom) Nelson and was a retired beauty operator.
She is survived by her son, Robert Bell of Princeton; daughter, Karlyn Kmieciak of Florida; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Tuffy (Joan) Nelson of Anoka; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny L. Bell; and son, Johnny N. Bell.
Pallbearers were Johnny, Jeff, Daniel, and Cory Bell and Tom and Jacob Adriaens.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery, Minneapolis. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Donald Berquist
Funeral services for D. Donald Berquist, 66, Ham Lake, took place July 6 at Christ Lutheran Church, Blaine. Rev. Margaret Guelker officiated.
Berquist died July 2, 2002 in Ham Lake. He was born April 10, 1936 in Superior, Wis., and was the owner/operator of Aggressive Industries and International Dyno Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Tomm (Barb) of Coon Rapids; daughter, Keri (Thor) Olufson of Lino Lakes; grandchildren, John and Ellie Berquist, Daniel and Joseph Donald Olufson; brothers, Harvey (Doris), James (Mary); and nieces, nephews and many friends.
Interment was at Epiphany cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Lori Beyer
Funeral services for Lori Beyer, 51, Andover, took place July 8 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Robert Patterson officiated.
Beyer died July 4, 2002. She was born Feb. 4, 1951.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis 'Denny' children, Marshall (Jennifer) and Michael; mother-in-law, Vivian Beyer; sister, Dianna Tellez (Miguel); nephew, Jet; niece, Analise Tellez; sister-in-law, Carol Craft; and friends, Barb Selden and Kathy O'Hara.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Karen Finnegan
Funeral services for Karen L. Finnegan, 55, Coon Rapids, took place July 6 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids.
Finnegan died July 3, 2002 at her home. She was born April 22, 1947 in Moline, Ill., to Paul W. and Francine A. (Sinkus) Brech, and was executive secretary for Honeywell Corp. Minneapolis.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; son, Jon; daughter, Molly; stepdaughter, Kathy (Tim) Beatty of Burnsville; mother, Francine Brecht of Moline, Ill.; brother, Gary (Barbara) Brecht of Bettendorf, Iowa; mother-in-law, Eva Finnegan; step-granddaughters, Brittany and Taylor Beatty; close friends, Gail (Hoffman) and J., D. Taylor. and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Brecht.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery, Minneapolis. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Ramona Harshe
Funeral services for Ramona Elizabeth Harshe, 53, Coon Rapids, took place July 6 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine Chapel. Rev. Marty McCowan officiated.
Harshe died July 2, 2002 at her home. She was born Nov. 15, 1948 in Wadena to Raymond Lund and Elsie Rankka, and was employed by a property management company,
She is survived by her son, Jim (Jenny) ; grandchildren, Brandon, Hunter, Hayley; sisters, Sandra, Anne, Karen, Cynthia, Victoria, Raynelle; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Aaron Leonard, Aaron Leonard II, Brian, Bill and Chris Schlagel, and Dan Hibben.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine Chapel.
Calvin Henderson
Funeral services for Calvin O. Henderson, 55, Ramsey, took place July 8 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Fredrick Hanson officiated.
Henderson died July 4, 2002 at Mercy Hospital. He was born June 29, 1947 in Minneapolis to Nels A. Henderson and Luella L. Dahlberg and was a retired self-employed musician.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; daughter, Kersten (Bill) Middleton; grandchildren, Lexi and Kallie; mother, Luella Henderson; sisters, Charlotte (Luverne) Johnson, and Corrine (Gary) Klinger; brother, Colie (Marvel) and Craig; and friends, Dan Younkin and Jeff Dahl.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nels Henderson.
Pallbearers were Dan Younkin, Jeff Dahl, Bill Middleton, and Scott, Mike and Rick DeLong.
Interment was at Garden of Hope cemetery, Ramsey. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Stephen Hoffman
Funeral services for Stephen L. Hoffman, 52, Anoka, took place July 8 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka Chapel. Rev. Dale Ehrman officiated.
Hoffman died July 4, 2002 at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Wabasha to George Hoffman and Eileen Havilick. He was a plater and served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by her sons, John (Jack) and his wife Gina and Joe and wife Tara; sisters, Jackie Reisenger, Debbie Chlan (David), Sue Karger (Tom), Bev Roffler (Mike); brother, Mike Hoffman, George (Ione) Hoffman; grandchildren, Cecelia, Olivia, Sylvia, Benjamin, William; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers were Doug and Chris Chose, Brad Olssen, Joe Bistodeau, Mark Sullivan and Leslie Johnson.

Nicholas Katnis
Funeral services for Nicholas John Katnis, 7 months, took place July 3 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Princeton. Rev. Wendy Heath officiated.
He died June 30, 2002 at Fairview-University Hospital, Minneapolis. He was born Oct. 31, 2001 at Fairview-University Hospital to Thomas Katnis and Betsey Chatham.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas Katnis and Betsey Chatham of Princeton; brother, Joshua Chatham of Princeton; sisters, Jazmin Chatham and Bree Chatham, both of Princeton, and Erick Katnis of Andover.
Interment was at the Immanuel Lutheran Church cemetery. Arrangements were by Williams Hanson Kaun Funeral Home, Princeton.
Ruth Peterson
Funeral services for Ruth H. Peterson, 59, Bethel, took place July 3 at Spirit of Christ Lutheran Church, Ham Lake. Rev. Rick Miller officiated.
Peterson died June 29, 2002 in St. Paul. She was born Dec. 29, 1942 in New Germany.
She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Debbie Peterson (Steve) St. Hilaire; sons, Michael and Thomas; grandson, Nicolas St. Hilaire; brothers, Rueben, Marvin, Ray, Edwin, Howard and Norman Vollrath; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Elmer.

Ruth Seraphine
Funeral services for Ruth J. Seraphine, 85, St. Anthony, took place July 8 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Liane Rock officiated.
Seraphine died July 3, 2002 at St. Anthony Health Care Center. She was born May 20, 1917 in Twin Lakes to Hans G. Arvik and Johanne G. Okland. She was the former owner/operator of the Ely News Store.
She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Stimson (Gerald), Greg Seraphine (Margaret Egan), Michael Seraphine (Kateri), Joni Seraphine; grandchildren, Craig, Lisa, Adam, Zachary, and Marcus; great-grandsons, Garrett and Tyler; and sister, Vivian Lawrence (John).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur. J. Seraphine.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Raymond Truehart
Funeral services for Raymond C. Truehart, 50, Coon Rapids, took place July 3 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bernard Reiser officiated.
Truehart died June 28, 2002 in Coon Rapids. He was born Jan. 3, 1952 in Robbinsdale and was employed by Hennepin County.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; daughters, Jennifer Preston (Matt), Stacie Endreson (Dan), Jill Truehart (Kyle Kane); three grandsons; parents, Arthur and Grace Truehart; brothers, David (Jane), Larry (Pat), Lewie (Dee), Gerald (Jean); sisters, Pat Truehart; mother-in-law, and father-in-law, Ceal and Richard Firle; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
