Florence Shogren
Funeral services for Florence Shogren, 86, Coon Rapids, took place Nov. 30 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Timothy Johnson officiated.
Shogren died Nov. 24, 2002 at St. Therese Home. She was born July 9, 1916 in Bridgewater, Iowa, and was a psychiatric nurse at Mercy Hospital.
She is survived by her children, Geneva Rae (Eugene) Tonn; Allan (Linda) Shogren, Barbara (James) Zvorak; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ira (Mable) Way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; grandson, William Carl Tonn II; three brothers; and one sister.
Interment was private at Kinkead cemetery, Alexandria. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Alvin Zigler
Memorial services for Alvin S. Ziegler, 89, Anoka, took place Dec. 2 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka.
Ziegler died Nov. 20, 2002. He was retired from Federal Cartridge, and a member of Barbershop Singers, St. Stephen's Catholic Church Choir and Anoka Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his daughter, Cecelia Leroux; sons, Charles (Patricia) and Paul (Joy) Ziegler; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Magdelene Goodrich, Bernadine Carland and Josephine (Howard) Olson; brothers, James (Bette), George (Helen) and Robert; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle; and brother, Romuald.
Interment was at Calvary cemetery, Anoka.
Ethel Anderson
Funeral services for Ethel Anderson, 89, East Bethel, took place Dec. 11 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, East Bethel. Rev. Brian Fragodt officiated.
Anderson died Dec. 8, 2002 at Grandview Christian Home, Cambridge. She was born July 13, 1913 in Minneapolis to Herbert and Amanda Anderson.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet (Paul) Jacobson of East Bethel, Judy (Hank) Larsen of Glencoe, Joanne Rachner of East Bethel, Betty (Mike) Gabrick of Linwood, Mary (Butch) Hass of Zimmerman; sisters, Lorraine Lindholm of Brooklyn Center, Myrtle Titterud of Brooklyn Park; 10 grandchildren; six great-gra-ndchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John; sister, Betty Anderson; brother, Warren Anderson; and son-in-law, Ralph Rachner.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey Gabrick, John Hass, Matthew and Michael Jacobson, and John and Josh Larsen.
Interment was at Our Saviour's Lutheran cemetery. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel.
Gary Champagne
Funeral services for Gary M. Champagne, 20, Coon Rapids, took place Dec. 9 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. John Sahlstrom officiated.
Champagne died Dec. 3, 2002. He was born Aug. 16, 1982.
He is survived by his mother, Sherri Champagne (nee Cowle); father, Bob Champagne Jr., and stepmother Carol; sister, Jodi Karpen (Tony); stepbrothers, Tommy and Charlie; stepsister Angie; grandparents, Duwayn and Elaine Stensby, Shirley Champagne and Alice Hoffman; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert G. Champagne and Gerald M. Cowle.
Pallbearers were Thomas Yates, Charles Underdahl, Matthew Hoysler, Bobby Cowle, Blake Healy, and Shawn, Karl and Mikey Rigstad.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Arlyn Fields
Funeral services for Arlyn B. Fields, 85, Coon Rapids, took place Dec. 5 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Bill Deziel officiated.
Fields died Dec. 1, 2002 at Camilia Rose Convalescent Center, Coon Rapids. She was born May 8, 1917 in Moorhead, Iowa, to George Conyers and Rhoda A. Carrier.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth, Robert, Jerome (Vicky), Thomas (Happy), Donald and Stephen (Debra); daughters, Dorothy (William) Gilk, Helen Talltree, Rose Fields and Patty Fields; 24 grandchildren; 24 great-grand-children; brother, William Conyers; sister, Sadie Shook; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Conyers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul.
Interment was at Calvary cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Gearhart.
Irene Inderlee
Funeral services for Irene M. Inderlee, 81, Coon Rapids, took place Dec. 5 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bernard Reiser officiated.
Inderlee died Dec. 2, 2002. She was born Nov. 10, 1921.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Zukauska, David, Donald, Duane, Mary Reyes (Chilo), Leonard (Caryn), Marlene, Marilyn Huseth (Jody), Mavis Schwartz (Emil), Thomas, John, Daniel (Tracy), Madonna Novotny (Tony) and Shawn; 33 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence Eisenbarth (Wilma); sisters, Barbara Schmidt, Romana Dewey, Lucille Pech; sister-in-law Gladys Eisenbarth; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; son, Michael; and granddaughter, Kayla.
Interment was at Epiphany cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Pearl Kittelson
Funeral services for Pearl B. Kittelson, 87, Anoka, will take place today (Friday, Dec. 13), 10:30 a.m., at Emmanuel Christian Center, Spring Lake Park. Rev. G. Mark Denyes will officiate.
Kittelson died Dec. 8, 2002 at Twin Rivers Care Center. She was born June 2, 1915 in Minneapolis to Henry O. Garberg and Mary Skoge, and was the former owner of Kittelson IGA.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Elizabeth), Dale (Lorilei) and Ed (Linda) Kittelson; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brothers, Earl and Bob Olson.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmer Erickson and Arne Kittelson; infant son, Paul Erickson; and brothers, Roland and John Garberg.
Pallbearers were John and Bob Garberg, David, Jacob and Jeff Kittelson, and Mark Johnson.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Maxine Magnuson
Funeral services for Maxine M. Magnuson, 83, Anoka, will take palce at a future date.
Magnuson died Nov. 22, 2002 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. She was born Nov. 4, 1919 in Burns Township.
She is survived by her son, Doug (Kathy); grandchildren, Amber, Tina and Jamie; sister, Audrey Chapman (Donald); sister-in-law, Myrtis Magnuson; nieces and nephews; and others relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Tina Magnuson; brother, George T. Magnuson; and sister, Lorraine Plack.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Thomas Schue
Funeral services for Thomas E. Schue, 60, Coon Rapids, took place Dec. 5 at Gearhart Funeral Chapel. Rev. David Holmes officiated.
Schue died Dec. 2, 2002 in Coon Rapids. He was born Sept. 6, 1942 in Grand Forks, N.D., to Edward and Nina Schue and was chief executive officer for Antec.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle (Jason) Elliott, Mellisa (Mason) Schwartz; grandson, Zachary Elliott; sisters, Karen O'Connell, Susan Gierke; brothers, Ronald, Wayne and Gordon; and nieices and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Chapel-Coon Rapids.
Calvin Spry
Funeral services for Calvin C. Spry, 42, Coon Rapids, took place Dec. 4 at Christ Lutheran Church, Blaine. Rev. Margaret Guelker officiated.
Spry died Nov. 30, 2002. He was born May 2, 1960 in Moorhead and was a security technician.
He is survived by his children, Christina, Megan, Brandon, and Cory; granddaughter, Kennedy; parents, Kenneth and Shona; brother, Cameron; sister, Carrie (Andrew) Strohmayer; and nieces and nephews.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
