Delores Riley

Funeral services for Delores A. Riley, 76, Anoka, took place March 3 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Bill Deziel officiated.

Riley died Feb. 28, 2003 in Anoka. She was born March 16, 1926 in Leola, S.D., to Francis S. Grabowska and Martha Geffre. She was retired from assembly production at Hoffman Engineering.

She is survived by her children, Kevyn (Kipling Thatcher), Karen (Ralph Stevens), Jack, Mary (John Sanderson), Lindy (Richard Bliss), Bill, Shelly (Donald Trester), and Shannon (Scott Richter); 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents; and four brothers.

Pallbearers were Todd Johnson, Jake, Beau, Kale Riley, Eric Bliss, Sam LaRue and Troy Noraker. Honorary pallbearers were Jonathan San-ders, Ross Trester and Ricky Podvin,

Interment was at Calvary cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Gearhart.

Troy Sikkink

Funeral services for Troy Allan Sikkink, 34, Duluth, formerly of Coon Rapids, took place March 1 at Lakeview Covenant Church, Duluth.

Sikkink died Feb. 25, 2003 as a result of a snowmobile accident. He was born July 27, 1968 in Minneapolis to Lee Sikkink and JoAnn Berg. He graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1986 and the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a degree in biochemistry. He was set to graduate from medical school in May and planned to go to work as a general surgeon.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen of Duluth; son, Nicholas of Lino Lakes; father, Lee Sikkink of Hinckley; mother, JoAnn (Bruce) Berg of Coon Rapids; brother, Scott (Jami) Sikkink of Northfield; and grandmother, Gertrude Sikkink of Cambridge.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Sikkink; grandparents, Clarence and Edna Benson; and uncle, John Sikkink.

Interment was at Rose Hill cemetery, Hinckley. Arrangements were by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth.

Herbert Axel

Funeral services for Herbert James Axel, 60, Coon Rapids, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, March 15) at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids.

Axel died March 8, 2003. He was born April 21, 1942 in Rockford, Ill., to Herbert Carl and Adella Axel and was a laborer.

He is survived by his wife, Sharyn; children, Mary Jo (Jeff) Zimmel, Leann (Ryan) Miller, James Gerald, Julie Foster; grandchildren, Brent, David, Corey, Ashley, Jarred, Shelby, MaKayla, Kaitlyn, Preston, Lindsey, Michael 'Bubba;' brothers, Gary, Cary (Rose), Leon, Clayton (Linda), Dave (Sue); sisters, VerRine, Wendy (Jim), Patricia (Mike), Candace (Bruce); and many family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adella and Herbert Carl; and son, James Ehman.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Miller, Jeff Zimmel, Jim Axel, Jim Hamblet, Dean Ackerson and Ken Gier.

Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Gearhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Eleanor Ellefson

Funeral services for Eleanor E. Ellefson, 85, Coon Rapids, took place March 10 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids, with Rev. John Kerr officiating, and March 11 in Sherman, S.D., with Rev. JoaAnn Lemme officiating.

Ellefson died March 6, 2003 in Coon Rapids. She was born May 21, 1917 in Jasper to John and Alvina Benson and was retired from Honeywell.

She is survived by her sons, Ron and Connie Ellefson, Bob and Dorly Ellefson; daughters, Pat and Jerry VanBenschoten, Luanne and David Jorgenson, Nancy Corpe, Lois Ellefson, Ruth and Paul Lindstrom; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; parents, John and Alvina Benson; sons, Jerome and Dean; and all her siblings.

Interment was at Highland Lutheran cemetery, Sherman, S.D. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Donna Johnson

Memorial services for Donna Johnson, 50, Oak Grove, formerly of Ramsey, took place March 9 at First Baptist Church, St. Francis. Rev. James Snow officiated.

Johnson died March 5, 2003 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Aug. 22, 1952 in Des Moines, Iowa, to Gene and Alice Ryan. She was a realtor for RE/MAX.

She is survived by her sons, Scott of LaMoille, Iowa, Jason of Oak Grove, Troy and son Jordon of Oak Grove; daughter, Emily of Oak Grove; former husband, Doug Johnson of Oak Grove; sister, Connie and husband Steve Chamberlain of Rhodes, Iowa; niece, Jamie and her son Lane Kline of Nevada, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.

Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home- Isanti Chepel.

Ralph Lane

Funeral services for Ralph L. Lane, 64, Zimmerman, formerly of Ramsey, took place March 11 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Dennis Heiden officiated.

Lane died March 6, 2003 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Nov. 17, 1938 in Chicago, Ill., to Ralph E. and Esther (Haines) Lane and was a foreman at Graco in Minneapolis.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Cheryl Erickson and husband Daniel, Pam Plessel and husband Mark; grandchildren, Angela Erickson, Jonathan and Amber Plessel, all of Ramsey; and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph E. and Esther Lane.

Pallbearers were Jonathan Plessel, Ray and Rick Schwengler, Rick Crist, Duane and Tom Erickson and Tony Jude.

Interment was at Akeley cemetery, Akeley. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Helen Mills

Funeral services for Helen Lois Mills, 84, Anoka, took place March 3 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka Chapel. Rev. Brenda King officiated.

Mills died Feb. 26, 2003 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Feb. 26, 1919 in Anoka and was a retired manufacturing laborer.

She is survived by her brother, Edson (Phyllis); nieces and nephews, Joan (Donald) Anderson, Daniel (Masumi) Mills, Thomas (Lynda) Mills, Mary Benson and husband Ron Buetler, Jim Mills; great nieces and nephews, Denise (George) Shouse, Jon (Amy) Mills, Josh (Jady) Mills, Natalie, Alex Mills, Kora Benson, Dominic Mills; and other cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Garfield and Selma Mills.

Pallbearers were Tom, Jon, Josh and Jim Mills.

Interment was at Forest Hill cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka Chapel.

Lloyd Patton

Funeral services for Lloyd Anthony Patton, 30, Blaine, took place March 10 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka Chapel. Rev. Marty McCowan officiated.

Patton died March 6, 2003 in an accident. He was born Aug. 20, 1972 in Minneapolis to Lloyd L. Patton and Roxanne Thomas and was employed at Eagle Lake Amoco.

He is survived by his wife, April; parents, Lloyd and Alberta Patton and Roxanne and Joseph Goulet; grandparents, Claude and Susie Thomas and Esther Patton; siblings, Kevin, Brian, Julie, Jay, Bobbie Jo, Kelly, Brett, Barry; uncle and best friend, Troy Thomas; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Darby Lee; and grandfather, Gail Patton.

Interment was private. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home.

Amy Pease

Memorial services for Amy Marie Pease, 91, Anoka, will take place Monday, March 17, 11 a.m., at Anoka United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kenneth Rice officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 5 to 7 p.m., at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka.

Pease died March 9, 2003 at Park River Estates Care Center, Coon Rapids. She was born June 2, 1911. During World War II, she served as a 'Grey' lady for the Red Cross. She was past president of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, the Philolectian, and PEO Chapter CG. She was also active in the Anoka Girl Scout Council.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Gene) Reichel and their children, Jim (Laurie) Reichel, Julia (Raj) Balsavar, Joy Reichel, John (Kristy) Reichel; son, Tom (Karleen) Pease and his children, Scott (Angie) Pease, Jill (Eric) Bjurlin, Sean (Sarah) Pease; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie G.

Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Methven-Taylor Funeral Homes.

Randalyn Radke

Funeral services for Randalyn Radke, 80, Minneapolis, formerly of Champlin, took place March 12 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Radke died March 7, 2003 in Champlin. She was born Oct. 11, 1922 in Minneapolis to James F. Miller and Jeanette F. Randall.

She is survived by her children, L. James (Joan), Punky Jackson, Eric (Sue), Ella Jean; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Margaret McAnaney.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren A. Radke.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.

Patricia Walsdorf

Private memorial services took place for Patricia Kathleen Walsdorf, 85, Andover, formerly of Coon Rapids.

Walsdorf died March 6, 2003 at Presbyterian Home of Roseville. She was born Oct. 16, 1917 in Indianapolis, Ind., to John Ryan and Anna Roessler, and was a retired teacher of more than 30 years.

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Joyce), Robert (Jill), John (Susan), Stephen (MaryAnn); and grandchildren, Erin Tover, Kathleen Kono, Jeffrey and Christopher Walsdorf, Michael and Suzanne Walsdorf, Stephen Walsdorf Jr. and Andrea Walsdorf.

She was preceded in death by husband, Robert Walsdorf.

Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine Chapel.
