Erle Campton

Funeral services for Erle A. Campton, 91, Anoka, took place March 20 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Dennis Heiden officiated.

Campton died March 15, 2003 at Trevilla of New Brighton. He was born Aug. 28l, 1911 in Arkansas, Wis., to George and Junuetta (Welch) Campton and was retired from Federal Cartridge.

He is survived by his wife, Clara; sons, Kenneth of Coon Rapids and John and wife Joan of Mississippi; granddaughters, Elizabeth Campton of Roseville and Lisa Marek and husband Tom of Columbia Heights; great-granddaughter, Anna Louise Marek; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Interment was at Forest Hill cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Steven Erpestad

Funeral services for Steven D. Erpestad, 40, Andover, took place March 13 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Ramsey. Rev. Hilton Hammer officiated.

Erpestad died March 9, 2003 in Oak Grove from injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident. He was born July 11, 1962 in Minneapolis to Mervin E. and Alita G. (Kuehl) Erpestad and was chief financial officer, vice president of operations and sales manager at Al-Cast Mold and Pattern Co., Ham Lake.

He is survived by his daughter, Brittany; son, Zachary; companion and friend, Deb Nickels of Andover; brothers, John 'Buck' (Hanna) Erpestad of Duluth; sister, Ruth (Randy) Sovell of Shakopee; and nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mervin; mother, Alita Oltmans; and stepfather, Walter Oltmans.

Interment will be in the spring at Delafield cemetery, Windom. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Mary Forte

Funeral services for Mary Ann Forte, 91, Coon Rapids, took place March 18 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids.

Forte died March 15, 2003. She was born May 11, 1911 in Gilbert. She worked at Bunker Hills Golf Course after her husband Dominic retired and they moved to Coon Rapids.

She is survived by her sons, David (Colleen) of Ham Lake, Bob (Bonnie) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sister, Margie of Rantoul, Ill.; grandchildren, Stacy Forte of St. Paul, Jason Forte of Oklahoma City, Okla., Craig Forte of Bemidji, Diane Forte of Scottsdale; great-grandson, David Wayne; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic; sister, Jenny; and brothers, Tony, Johnny, Joe and Fred.

Interment was at Epiphany cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Derek Junk

Funeral services for Derek Edward Junk, 26, Milford, Kan., took place March 19 in Coon Rapids. Rev. Jerry Cole officiated.

Junk died March 13, 2003 at Ft. Riley, Kan., in an accident. He was born May 7, 1976 in California to Richard E. Junk and Linda Colley. He was serving in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; parents, Edward and Linda Junk; father- and mother-in-law, Michael and Linda Brown; sister, Clarissa Junk; grandparents, Renza Junk and Ann Colley; and other family and friends.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart.

Chester Lasker

Funeral services for Chester F. Lasker, 90, Minneapolis, took place March 15, 2003 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids.

Lasker was born Sept. 11, 1912 in Anoka and was a retired plant manager.

He is survived by his daughters, Marlys Melcher, Jeanne Kantorowicz, Jackie Johnson, Sugie Kantorowicz, Merrie Kay Jorgenson, Debbie Cole, Carol Frank; son, David Lasker; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Interment was at Epiphany cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Velia Luague

Funeral services for Velia B. Luague, 101, Andover, formerly of Cambridge, took place March 19 at Cambridge Funeral Home-Strike Chapel. Rev. Gonzalo Olojan Sr. officiated.

Luague died March 15, 2003 at Cambridge Medical Center. She was born July 12, 1901 in Zamboanga City, Philippines, to Kaitan and Sara Balania. She came to the United States in 1974.

She is survived by her children, Auroa Luague Ortiz of Manilla, Philippines; Ever Luague Ferguson of Long Beach, Calif., Rebecca Luague Yap of Andover, Nemesia Luague Anderson of Concord, Calif., Zelma L. Urban and her husband Stewart of Andover, Lorna Luague De Vera and her husband Salvador of Quezon City, Philippines, Samuel B. Luague and wife Nancy of Galax, Va.; grandchildren, Thelma, Cesario, Jun, Elizabeth, Romy, Rebecca, Gerry, Esther, Popeyo, Glen, Alfred Jr., Jane, Paul, Icel, Cheryl Ann, Mark Homer, Ever Mae, Lilly, Norman, Dahlia, Jun, Peter, Antonia, Joy, Mary Ann, Jun, Lori Ann Lundy and Samuel Mark; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Isidoro; son, Iluminado and Pompeyo; granddaughter, Jena; sons-in-law, Triunfo Ortiz, Alfred Ferguson, David Yap and Earl Anderson; and daughter-in-law, Pilar Luague.

Pallbearers were Samuel Luague, Peter and Stewart Urban and Milt Nelson.

Interment was at Cambridge Union cemetery. Arrangements were by Cambridge Funeral Home-Strike Chapel.

Arlene Madsen

Funeral services for Arlene E. Madsen, 73, Coon Rapids, took place March 10 at Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Radeke officiated.

Madsen died March 6, 2003 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Feb. 25, 1930 in Watertown, S.D., to Sylvester L. Feuerstein and Sylvia Eichmann and was a cook/baker at Coon Rapids High School.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Sandra; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Henry Feeken, Ruth and Steve Swanson, Robin and Raymond Nelson, Linda and Timothy Witzig; son-in-law, Rick Goodwater; 11 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; six brothers; five sisters; sister-in-law, Vonnie Feuerstein; and best friend, Arlene Bruggeman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Joseph Stalpes

Funeral services for Joseph N. Stalpes, 73, Park Rapids, formerly of Coon Rapids, took place March 14 at Fort Snelling Chapel, Richfield.

Stalpes died March 10, 2003 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Park Rapids. He was born Feb. 17, 1930 in Madison to Philip and Clara (Schneider) Stalpes. He served as a paratrooper in the Korean War and in the Airborne Special Missions Section. He owned and operated Auto Frame and Wheel Alignment Company, Blaine, from the early 1970s until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Coon Rapids American Legion and Kraus-Hartig VFW, Spring Lake Park.

He is survived by his wife, Donna of Park Rapids; daughters, Julie (Dan) McDowell of Minneapolis and Carmen Stalpes of Coon Rapids; sons, Tim (Sandy) Stalpes of Monticello and Chris (Tina) Stalpes of Big Lake; grandchildren, Eric Abbott, Samantha Klotz, Nick and Phil Stalpes; sisters, Marge Hoffman of Marshall and Mary (John) Gossen of Monticello; brothers, Ralph (Jackie) Stalpes of Park Rapids, Donald (Kathy) Stalpes of Fargo, N.D., and John (Peggy) Stalpes of Klamath Falls, Ore.; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Leona; and brother, Jim.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Jones-Pearson Funeral Home, Park Rapids.

Travis Treanor

Funeral services for Travis M. Treanor, 17, Anoka, took place March 19 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Liane S. Rock officiated.

Treanor died March 14, 2003 at Mercy Hospital from injuries sustained in an auto accident March 13. He was born Dec. 28, 1985 in Fridley to Tracy and Jennifer Treanor - birth mother Randi Rhodes - and was an 11th-grade student at Anoka High School.

He is survived by his parents, Tracy and Jennifer Treanor; birth mother, Randi Rhodes; sister, Tiauna and Jacy; brothers, Nick and Mathew; grandparents, Barbara Treanor, Jan and Jim Cravens, Jim and Denny Grube; aunts and uncles, Steve and Lynda Treanor, Deborah and John Miller, Suzanne and Pete Pietruszewski, Brad Treanor, Jim Treanor, Kevin and Lynda Treanor, Jamie and Gretchen Cravens, Eric Cravens, Rona and Scott Popowitz, Rose Grube, David Grube, Dwight and Sherri Grube; and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, LeRoy Treanor.

Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.

Loren Trenary

Memorial services for Loren O. Trenary, 92, Aitkin, formerly of Anoka, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, March 22, 2003), 2 p.m., at Sorenson-Root-Thompson, Aitkin.

Born in Illinois in 1991, Trenary was stationed in the Aleutians during World War II. He ran his own business, Trenary Electric, for more than 30 years.

He is survived by his sister, Janet Compton of Delano; daughter, Patricia and son-in-law, Angelo Consolati; son, Thomas and daughter-in-law, Kathryn and grandson Michael; and son, Roland, all of the Twin Cities; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Irta; and brother, Robert.

Anna Warkentin

Funeral services for Anna J. Warkentin, 96, Anoka, formerly of Mountain Lake, took place March 13 in Mountain Lake.

Warkentin died March 9, 2003 at Anoka Care Center. She was born March 31, 1906 in Carson Township.

She is survived by her brother, Peter Warkentin of Anoka; many nieces and nephews; and numerous relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister in infancy; brothers, John, Jacob, Dietrich, Henry and David Warkentin; and sisters, Maria Fast, Susie Wiens, Helen Plumley and Agnes Warkentin.

Marjory Yutzy

Funeral services for Marjory V. Yutzy, 90, Coon Rapids, will take place at a later date.

Yutzy died March 11, 2003 at her home. She was born March 20, 1912 in Anoka to William B. Shepherd and Clara A. Crandall, and was a retired registered nurse.

She is survived by her brother, Paul.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Yutzy.

Arrangements are by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
