Lowell Pitts
Funeral services for Lowell H. Pitts, 63, Blaine took place April 19 at Peace Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Kenneth DeFor Jr. officiated.
Pitts died April 17, 2003 at his home. He was born Feb. 3, 1940 in Sandstone to Howard Pitts and Margie Creighton and was a foreman manager at Williams Steel.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Steven (Amy) Pitts; daughter, Susan (Brad) Wisherd; grandsons, Michael Steven, Jeffrey Marcus, Daniel Ryan, Carl Bradley, Ryan Lowell; sisters, Cleo (James) Schoenhofer, Cheryl (Ron) Carroll, Nona (Bill) Fahey; sisters-in-law, Jeanie (George) Stannard, Pat Johnson, Nancy (Bill) Tyson; and many nieces and nephews.
Interment was at Evergreen Memorial cemetery, Friesland. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine Chapel.
Lillian Ziesmer
Funeral services for Lillian Lettie Ziesmer, 88, Andover, took place April 14 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Rex Beyer officiated.
Ziesmer died April 9, 2003 at her home. She was born Nov. 19, 1914 in Crookston to Reynard Rice and Maud Abar.
She is survived by Pat (Abe) Domogalla, Tom (Cleo) Ziesmer, and Lil (Mike) Pearson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill.
Pallbearers were Jim, Pete, Charles and Ken Rice and Dick and Bob Dauk.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka.
Orvell Christopherson
Funeral services for Orvell Christopherson, 82, Coon Rapids, took place April 23 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. John Kerr officiated.
Christopherson died April 21, 2003 at Unity Hospital. He was born June 9, 1920 in Clitherall and was a retired manufacturers sales representative.
He is survived by his daughters, Sandy Skogman and son-in-law Don, Renee Christopherson; grandsons, Shawn and Aaron Skogman; sisters, Shirley (John) Husby; brothers, Howard (Carol), Clayton (Arlene), Levon (Diane); many nieces and nep-hews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; daughter, Janet; and newborn son.
Pallbearers were Jerry and Keith Christopherson, Brad Husby, and Aaron, Shawn and Don Skogman.
Interment was at Forest Hills cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Susan Clyne
Funeral services for Susan E. Clyne, 49, Coon Rapids, took place May 1 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Michael Kennedy officiated.
Clyne died April 27, 2003 in Coon Rapids. She was born Nov. 6, 1953 in Princeton to Leon Clyne and Mildred Weber and was a quality control inspector.
She is survived by her parents, Mildred and Leon Clyne; siblings, Michael (Diane) Clyne, Patricia (Richard) Hardenbrook, John Clyne, Marvel Sirovy, Steven (Sonja) Clyne, and Thomas (Candee) Clyne; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers were her nieces and nephews.
Interment was at Epiphany Catholic cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart.
Peter Dahlgren
Funeral services for H. Peter 'Pete' Dahlgren, 58, Anoka, will take place May 2, 4 to 7 p.m., at Carl and Pamela Anderson home, 1034 Adams St., Anoka.
Dahlgren died Apr 27, 2003 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Minneapolis. He was born Sept. 13, 1944 in Anoka to Jack O. and Beulah G. (Peterson) Dahlgren.
He is survived by his sister, Pamela (Carl )Anderson of Anoka; brothers, Phil (Julie) Dahlgren of Minneapolis, Tom (Nancy Whalen) Dahlgren of Mendota Heights; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Beulah Dahlgren; and niece, Jackie Anderson.
Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Donna Day
Memorial services for Donna Jean Day, 38, Blaine, took place April 27 at Strike Funeral Home-Isanti Chapel. Greg Kuhn officiated.
Day died April 23, 2003 at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale. She was born April 20, 1964 in Cambridge to Donald and Joan Streit. She was employed by the city of Minneapolis for nearly 10 years.
She is survived by her husband, Brian; sons, Alan and Keith; parents, Donald and Joan Streit of Mora; brothers, Dave Streit and his wife Char of Isanti, Doug Streit and his wife Cheryl and their children Courtney, Ashlee and Jamison of Woodbury, Tim Streit of St. Louis Park; mother-in-law, Phyllis Day of Cambridge; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Shari Day and her children Isaac and Jessica of Brooklyn Park, Greg Day and his wife Joann of Brooklyn Park; special friends, Kenny and Kathy Zaczkowski of Blaine; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her nephew, Elliott Streit.
Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home-Isanti Chapel.
Sherman Henrikson
Funeral services for Sherman (Rusty) Henrikson, 77, Ham Lake, took place at Miller Funeral Home, Fridley.
Henrikson died March 24, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Fran; sons, Roger, Marvin and fiancee Betty Jo; grandchildren, Jeff and Jeremiah Wahlstrom; brothers, Verdin and Bud; and sisters, Bernice and Hjordis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Signa; sisters, Vickie, Doris, Janet; and brother, Curtis.
Interment was at Oakleaf cemetery, East Bethel. Arrangements were by Miller Funeral Home, Fridley.
Irene Lang
Funeral services for Irene T. (Morin) Lang, 74, Prior Lake, will take place today (Friday, May 2) at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Belcourt, N.D. Rev. Gerald McCarthy will officiate.
Lang died April 20, 2003 at Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park. She was born June 26, 1928 in Belcourt, N.D., to Fred and Laura DeCoteau Morin. She was a member of the St. Timothy Catholic Church of Catholic Women in Blaine.
She is survived by her husband, Irvin; children, Shelley (Stephan) Toso of Prior Lake, Dale (Carla) Lang of Andover, Ken Lang of Prior Lake; grandchildren, Brian (Tammy) Toso, Nicole Toso, Ryan Lang, Katie Lang, Adam Lang, Abigail Lang; great-grandchildren, Cynthia Lang, Joshua Toso; and brother, Gilbert (Bernadine) Morin of Belcourt, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Brenda; parents, Fred and Laura Morin; and brothers, Joseph and Tony Morin.
Pallbearers will be Stephan and Brian Toso, Adam Lang, Richard Trottier, Lynn Gourneau and Wyatt LaRocque.
Interment will be at St. Benedict's Catholic cemetery, Belcourt. Arrangements are by Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Prior Lake.
Randy McLain
Funeral services for Randy McLain, 47, Becker, formerly of Coon Rapids, tool place April 22 at Peterson-Grimso Chapel, Monticello. Rev. Louis Mollick officiated. Graveside services will take place in Wright at a later date.
McLain died suddenly April 17, 2003 in an automobile accident. He was born to to Richard and Barbara McLain. He attended Coon Rapids High School, served in the U.S. Army, and was an over-the-road truck driver for many years.
He is survived by his fiancee Jackie Meyer and her children Matthew and Laurie (Dennis); brothers, Kerry, David (Denise), Rick (Kim) and Jeff (Donna); nieces and nephews, Jenna, Sarah, Josh, Mollie, Scott and Matthew; and many relatives and friends.
Marvin Moore
Funeral services for Marvin L. Moore, 76, Ham Lake, took place April 24 at Glen Cary Lutheran Church, Ham Lake. Rev. Jeffrey Jacobus officiated.
Moore died April 21, 2003 at Birchwood Health Care Center, Forest Lake. He was born July 8, 1924 in Bethel and was retired after 36 years as a carpenter for Kraus Anderson Co.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; children, Sharon Jones, Bonnie Wilson (Don), Dennis Moore, Leanne McAdam (Scott); nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Donald.
Pallbearers were Christopher and Craig Moore, James and Derrick Jones, Donald Wilson, Jr. and Tyler Christenson. Honorary pallbearers were Russell Sweezo and Robert Peterson.
Interment was at Glen Cary Lutheran cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Susan Morrow
Funeral services for Susan J. Morrow, 48, St. Francis, took place April 23 at Long Lake Lutheran Church. Rev. Howard A. Skulstad officiated.
Morrow died April 19, 2003 in Coon Rapids. She was born Oct. 6, 1948 in Long Prairie to Stephen and Beatrice Biermaier and was a bookkeeper.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Todd and Laurie Simmons, Ted and Amy Morrow, Tim and Nina Morrow; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Donald Ramsier, Dayna Fourness and Mike, Shantell and Rick Nelson; mother, Beatrice Biermaier; many grandchildren; and numerous brothers, sisters, relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Tyler Evans, Tim and Andrew Biermaier, Rob Lucas, Pat Decker, Mike Peterson and Christopher Fourness.
Interment was at Long Lake cemetery, Isanti. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids.
