Harold Jessen
Funeral services for Harold M. Jessen, 83, Blaine, took place May 20 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Jack Shields officiated.
Jessen died May 17, 2003 at Anoka Care Center. He was born Jan. 17, 1920 in Minneapolis to Andrew and Freda (Mortenson) Jessen and was the owner/operator of a vending machine company.
He is survived by his wife, June; children, Janice (Francis) Feil, Marty (Georgia), Judy (Ralph) Huntosh, Joyce (Terry) O'Loughlin, Joan (Ken) Ewer; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Lily Luke, Gloria Bray, Gladys Lynch, Marilyn Anderson; brother, Andrew 'Red' (Laurel) Jessen; sister-in-law, June P. Jessen; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearer was Fletcher Klick.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Michael Johnson
Graveside services for Michael David Johnson, Blaine, took place May 20 at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Rev. Mary McCowan officiated.
He was born and died May 15, 2003.
He is survived by his parents, Glenn and Jackie Johnson; sister, Katlyn; grandparents, Mary and Dale Johnson of Blaine and Reinhold and Marilyn Cripps of Bloomington; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine.
Viola Knox
Funeral services for Viola J. Knox, 67, Blaine, took place May 19 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. John Christianson officiated.
Knox died May 16, 2003 in Blaine. She was born July 21, 1935 in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Ernest J. Weber and Maria C. Palumbo and was a legal secretary.
She is survived by her children, Patricia (Gary) Bojan, Thomas Stein, Jacki (Ron) Shawd and Vicki (Doug) Trees; grandchildren, Rachael, Angela, Frankie, Tony, Andy, Nicholas, Troy, Kyle and Sean; great-grandchildren, Angeline, Linnea and Elena; and sisters, Maria Csencsitz and Bette Beck.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Knox; and infant daughter, Barbara Ann Stein.
Interment was at Gethsemane cemetery, New Hope. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Carolyn Krolick
Funeral services for Carolyn Krolick, 51, Andover, took place May 19 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Duane Fisher officiated.
Krolick died May 14, 2003 in Andover. She was born Nov. 13, 1951 in Minneapolis and was a postal clerk.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; sons, Timothy and Christopher; daughter, Jennifer (Ed) Bennett; grandchildren, Tyler, RyAnn and Felicia; sister, Karen (John) Wrobleski; nieces and nephews. Michael, John, Cathy, Patrick and Brian; and many friends.
Pallbearers were Michael Wrobleski, Christopher, Timothy, Bryan and Patrick Krolick, and Dan Parrott.
Interment was at Fort Snelling. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Irving Lang
Funeral services for Irvin E. Lang, 77, Prior Lake, took place May 14 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Prior Lake. Rev. Rick Banker officiated.
Lang died May 19, 2003 at Friendship Manor Care Center, Shakopee. He was born Dec. 10, 1925 in Tokio, N.D., to Fredrick and Emma (Smith) Lang. He was a sheet metal worker, a life member of Spring Lake Park VFW Post and the Knights of Columbus at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Blaine.
He is survived by his children, Shelley (Stephan) Toso of Prior Lake, Dale (Carla) Lang of Andover, Ken Lang of Prior Lake; grandchildren, Brian (Tammy) Toso, Nicole Toso, Ryan Lang, Katie Lang, Adam Lang, Abigail Lang; great-grandchildren, Cynthia Lang and Joshua Toso; and brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Lang; infant daughter, Brenda; parents, Fredrick and Emma (Smith) Lang; and brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers were Dale, Ken, Adam and Tom Lang, and Stephan and Brian Toso.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Prior Lake.
Kenneth Long
Funeral services for Kenneth F. Long, 59, Cambridge, formerly of Anoka and Blaine, took place May 16 at Joy Lutheran Church, Cambridge. Rev. David Franzmeier officiated.
Long died May 11, 2003 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Sept. 13, 1943 in Newberg, Ore., to Joseph and Mildred Long. He was a 1962 graduate of Anoka High School and owned and operated Atlas Inspection from 1984 to 1996.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Jim Long and wife Karen of North Branch; daughter, Paula Buzzell and husband Clayton Jr. of Cambridge; mother, Mildred Long of Cambridge; brothers, Joe Long and wife JoAnn of Cambridge; sisters, Darlene Genimtis and George of Florida, Linda Cline and her husband Al of Michigan, JoAnn Boylan and friend Larry of Cambridge, Charlene Miller and husband George of Pennsylvania, Carol DeLine and husband Greg of Cambridge; grandchildren, Amanda, Clay, Kendal and Rachel; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Franklin Long Sr.
Pallbearers were Clayton Buzzell II, Allen Cline, Dan Hancock, Jeff Hoel, Chad Melander, Craig Skalicky and Darrell Williamson.

Sandra Ludford
Funeral services for Sandra J. Ludford, 54, Blaine, took place May 17 at Church of St. Paul. Rev. Timothy Nolan officiated.
Ludford died May 14, 2003 in Minneapolis. She was born June 26, 1948 in St. Cloud to Leo and Margarette Heinen and was systems analyst.
She is survived by her sisters, Patricia (Dale) Pahl, Carol (Dennis) Nolden, Barbara Humphrey; nieces, Callee Nolden and Nancy Humphrey; stepchildren, Rev. Scott (Debra) Ludford, Connie (Mark) Tscharner, Ann Garvey; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry.
Pallbearers were Tom Waltz, Curt Johnson, Richard Burke, Nathan Tscharner, Lyle Talbot and Hank Spanauer.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Coon Rapids.
Lorne and Rene Martin
Funeral services for Lorne A. Martin, 38, and Rene M. Martin, 47, Robbinsdale, took place May 22 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Pail Salfrank officiated.
The Martins died May 15, 2003 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. Lorne Martin was born Jan. 17, 1965 in Fullerton, Calif., to Richard and Patricia A. (Thomas) Martin and was a litigation support supervisor at Zelle, Hofmann, Voelbel, Mason and Gette, LLP. Rene Martin was born Feb. 19, 1956 in Jamaica, N.Y., to Mario N. and Clara M. (Scarpati) Gaiti and was litigation secretary at Dorsey and Whitney, LLP.
They are survived by daughters, Jennifer Williams and Kahla Martin; Lorne's parents, Richard and Patricia Martin; brother, Ross Martin and wife Ann; grandparents, Frances Martin, Leonard and Anna Mae Thomas; Rene's mother, Clara DeSantis; brothers, Christopher DeSantis, Mario Gaiti and wife Angela; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Brent, Scott and Larry Streeter, Phil Jennings, Ross, Steven and Daniel Martin, Mario Gaiti, Jon Hickman and Christopher DeSantis.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
David Mason
Funeral services for David J. Mason, 73, Park Rapids, formerly of Brooklyn Center, took place May 16 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Charles Nelson officiated.
Mason died May 13, 2003 at Innsbruck Health Care Center. He was born April 19, 1930 in Minneapolis and was a maintenance engineer.
He is survived by his children, Richard (Nancy), Brian, Sharon (John) Quellhorst, Elizabeth (Jason) Steele; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph (Ann); sisters, Joan Lester, Mary Ackerman (Kenneth); and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; first wife, Jean; and sister, Barbara.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Neabys Obinger
Memorial services for Neabys 'Nebbs' Obinger, 93, Coon Rapids, took place May 14 at Meadow Creek Church, Andover. Rev. James Thomason officiated.
Obinger died May 7, 2003 at Camilia Rose Convalescent Center, Coon Rapids. She was born Jan. 13, 1910 in Odessa, Wash.
She is survived by her children, Ariel (Wes) Larson, Barbara (Vern) Krause, Paul Jr. (Carol), Sharon Stern, Benjamin (Donna); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul M. Obinger.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Myron Voss
Funeral services for Myron J. Voss, 71, Blaine, took place May 15 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Blaine. Rev. George Kolath officiated.
Voss died May 10, 2003 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Sept. 5, 1931 in Wilmont to Robert Herman Voss and Alma Brake. He was a machinist, a life member of Sgt. John Rice VFW Post, and a U.S. Navy Koran War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Craig (Sherie), Kevin, Julie (Wayne) Huff; grandchildren, Shawnda Huff, Tyler Huff, Matthew Voss; siblings, Delphine Burns, Loren (Joan) Voss, Merrill (Carmen) Voss, Louella (Joseph) Huerkamp, Floyd Voss, Robert Voss, Lester Voss; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alama (Brake) Voss; sisters-in-law, Helen Voss, Karen Voss; and brothers-in-law, John Albersman and Robert Burns.
