Dorothea Springer

Funeral services for Dorothea E. Springer, 85, Elk River, formerly of Anoka, took place June 17 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Rev. Dennis K. Heiden officiated.

Springer died June 14, 2003 at Guardian Angels Care Center. She was born May 31, 1918 in Eagleton, Wis., to John J. Rheingans and Emma Misfeldt, and was retired secretary at Cotton's Autos.

She is survived by her son, Alex (Dawn) of Anoka; daughter, Barbara (Raymond) Zehoski of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Cathy (Al) Gorecki, David (Julie) Anderson, Lisa Vanderveen, Stacy (Dan) Reek, Todd (Angie) Springer, and Jim (Michelle) Anderson; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Erna Ruff; brother, John (Lorraine) Rheingans; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; and sister, Esther Popple.

Pallbearers were David and James Anderson, Todd Springer, Dan Reek, and Allen and Carson Gorecki.

Interment was at Forest Hill cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Terry Ward

Memorial services for Terry Lee Ward, 49, Milaca, formerly of Coon Rapids and Greeley, Colo., will take place Aug. 1, 11 a.m., at Moser Funeral Services, Greeley, Colo.

Ward died June 4, 2003 in Milaca. He was born May 22, 1954 in Minneapolis to Walt and Lorrie Ward. He was a 1972 graduate of Coon Rapids High School and worked as a meter reader in Colorado.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy of Greeley, Colo.; brother, Cody and wife Robin of Milaca; sister, Shari Snyder and husband Neil of Loveland, Colo.; son, Damian Ward of Blaine; daughter, Trisha Ward of Blaine; granddaughter and grandson; nieces, Tawnya Snyder, Stacy Weidenbach (Jeremy), Brandy O'Connor; nephews, Linc Snyder, and Jacob O'Connor; aunts, Mabel Vacura of Jackson and Ethel Scheppmann of Fairmont; and several cousins and stepchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Carolyn Carter

Funeral services for Carolyn K. Carter (nee Vanstrom), 46, St. Paul, took place June 19 at Emmaus Lutheran Church, St. Paul.

Carter died June 15, 2003.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Corrin, Stephanie and Jason; mother, Vangy Vanstrom; brother, Dwayne (Dianne); sisters, Shirley (Don) Conner, Susan (Gary) Winters, Mary (Rick) McCullough; mother-in-law, Betty Carter; and other relatives and friends.

Interment was at Roselawn cemetery, St. Paul. Arrangements were by Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Roseville.

Howard Holliday

Funeral services for Howard R. Holliday, 71, Blaine, took place June 20 at St. William's Church, Fridley. Rev. Joseph Whalen officiated.

Holliday died June 14, 2003 in Fridley. He was born Sept. 26, 1931 in Minneapolis.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Robert (Becky), Shanon (Marc), Vern (Trudy), Kevin Sr. (Leanne), Howard Jr. (Julie); 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Cliff; and sister, June.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Florence Hunt

Funeral services for Florence H. Hunt, 89, Ramsey, took place June 24 at Trott Brook Gospel Hall, Ramsey.

Hunt died at her home June 21, 2003. She was born July 20, 1913 in South St. Paul to Emil H. and Lily (Bucholtz) Glewwe.

She is survived by her children, Dee Pearson and husband Bruce, Carol Nelson and husband Grant, H. Ralph Hunt and wife Carolyn, Ron Hunt and wife Judy, Roger Hunt and wife Patty; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sisters, Hilda Hirsch, Theresa Stahnke, Edith (John) Vanderbeck, Doris Horton; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Hunt; parents, Emil and Lily Glewwe; sister, Lucille Krueger; and brother, Sonny Glewwe.

Pallbearers were her grandchildren.

Interment was at Trott Brook cemetery, Ramsey. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Darlys Johnson

Funeral services for Darlys M. Johnson, 72, Coon Rapids, took place June 11 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Mark Kenney officiated.

Johnson died June 7, 2003 at Lynwood Health Care Center, Fridley. She was born Jan. 2, 1931 in Norcross to Harold and Nellie M. (Crabtree) Ferris.

She is survived by her sons, Barry (Paulette) Johnson, Donald (Cathy) Johnson, Glenn 'Jimmy' Johnson; daughter, Ranee (Troy) Hoff; foster son, Larry White; grandchildren, Gina, Jodi, Tammy, Kye and Wade; great-grandchildren; Beau, Drake, and Hailey; sister, Dorothy (Ray) Tholund; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George 'Bud' Johnson; parents, Harold and Nellie Ferris; and brother, Russell Ferris.

Active pallbearers were Wade Johnson, Butch Murphy, Matt Schwagerl, and Dennis Buchanan. Honorary pallbearers were Beau Woodroffe and Drake Johnson.

Interment was at Wildwood cemetery, Wheaton. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.

Thelma Luebeck

Memorial services for Thelma Elaine Luebeck, nee Rafdahl, 82, Coon Rapids, took place June 21 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids.

Luebeck died in Coon Rapids June 14, 2003.

She is survived by Rolland Luebeck; 10 children; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Debbie Muehlbauer

Funeral services for Debbie M. Muehlbauer, 47, Coon Rapids, took place June 20 at Epiphany Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Joel Cycenas officiated.

Muehlbauer died June 16, 2003 in St. Cloud following a motorcycle accident. She was born Feb. 23, 1956 in Minneapolis.

She is survived by her husband, Rod; children, Jacob, Sarah, Rachel (Shawn) and Many (Aaron); grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Olivia, Cody, Brittany and Jack; mother, Yvonne Maule (Werner); father, Richard Venkse (Peggy); sisters, Diane Politski (Kim), Cindy Chamberlain (Craig), Bianca Engebretsen (Mike); brother, David Venske; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, John.

Interment was at Epiphany cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Fredrika Peterson

Funeral services for Fredrika D. Peterson, 48, St. Francis, took place June 26 at Church of St. Patrick of Cedar Creek. Rev. Michael J. Kennedy officiated.

Peterson died at her home June 22, 2003. She was born Aug. 4, 1954 in Minneapolis to Frederick and Alice Brickman and was an over-the-road trucker for Golden Refrigeration.

She is survived by her brother, Lawrence Perry and wife Lynelle; nieces, Chantae and Kyrie; nephew, Lani; and mother-in-law, Ethel Peterson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; and parents, Frederick and Alice Brickman.

Interment was at St. Patrick's cemetery, Oak Grove. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Roy Peterson

Funeral services for Roy William Peterson, 87, Blaine, took place June 17 at Lakewood Chapel, Minneapolis. Rev. William Chadwick officiated.

Peterson died in Roseville June 13, 2003. He was born Jan. 30, 1916 in Bloomington to Fred and Ella Peterson and was a lifelong vegetable grower.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; children, Dawn (Craig) Anderson, Bob (Sue) Peterson, Bonnie (Dawson) Redden, Bruce (Sonya) Peterson; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Interment as at Lakewood cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Robert Richardson

Funeral services for Robert 'Bobby' Richardson, 42, Dayton, took place June 24 at Christ Lutheran Church, Otsego.

Richardson died suddenly June 21, 2003. He was a bricklayer and restored antique cars.

He is survived by his wife, Faye; twin daughters, Madison and Mackenzie; parents, Bob and Barb; brothers and sisters, Robyn, Terri (Peter) Fischbach, Tim (April), and Charlie (Wendy); aunt, Patty Farrell; and in-law, nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Interment was at St. John the Baptist cemetery. Arrangements were by Dare's Funeral Home, Elk River.

David Anderson

Funeral services for David M. Anderson, 64, Brooklyn Park, took place June 24 at St. Alphonsus Church, Brooklyn Center. Rev. Patrick J. Grile officiated.

Anderson died June 19, 2003. He was born June 21, 1938 in Minneapolis and was an accountant.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; sons, Marty (Lorie), Jim (Kim); grandchildren, Amanda, Blaine, Kailey and Austin; brother, Tom (Nancy); and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Ruby.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
