Raymond Spratt
Funeral services for Raymond Spratt, 76, Coon Rapids, took place June 30 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids. Rev. Patrick Kennedy officiated.
Spratt died June 27, 2003 in Rogers. He was born Feb. 21, 1927 in Osnabrock, N.D., and was a retired 30-year employee of Minnegasco.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Dean (Carolyn), Debbie (Gary) Nelson, Cheryl, Brad Korkowski, Brad (Sandy), Mike, Kelly (Vicki), Kevin (Joni), Chris (Dave) Wengronowitz; grandchildren, Jerimy, Josh, Jim, Justin, Ben, Sarah, Steve, Bryan, Kaitlin, Greg, Jett, Ryan, Toni, Charlie, Nicole, David, Kayla, Beth, Danielle, Lisa, Sam and Brandon; and siblings, Mable (Elmer) Jordan, Nora (Norman) Wirth, Eric (Sharon) Spratt, Donna (Larry) Estenson.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Sheldon Spriggle
Funeral services for Sheldon Spriggle, 78, Mounds View, took place June 30 at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. Revs. Larry Gedde and Elisa Shaffer Richardson officiated.
Spriggle died June 27, 2003 in Fridley. He was born Nov. 20, 1924 in Bay City, Wis., and was a retired longtime employee of Mobil Oil Corp. and a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; children, Tonya (Gary) Cox, Michael Spriggle, Bonnie (David ) Crittenden; Rosean Rendhal, nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Leanore Kvilhaug; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his firsts wife, Lois.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Eleanor Steffenson
Funeral services for Eleanor L. Steffenson, 83, Anoka, took place July 3 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Norman R. Berg officiated.
Steffenson died June 30, 2003 at Mercy Hospital. She was born June 17, 1920 in Lake Mills, Iowa, to Abraham O. Tweeten and Anna R. Hermanson.
She is survived by her children, Paul (Suzanne), Diane (Paul) Gausmann, John (Barb) and Rob (Lauren); six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Gudmonson, Julia Levad and Valborg Bothun; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements are by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Herbert Warner
Memorial services for Herbert H. Warner, 83, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., formerly of Oak Grove, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, July 12) 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Francis.
Warner died June 5, 2003 after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife, Irene; sons, Richard (Cyndi) and Jack; daughter, Patricia; grandsons, Corey (Denise) and Nicholas; sisters, Mabel Springer and Irene Springer; and nieces and nephews.
Interment will be at Fort Snelling National cemetery.
Nancy Barker
Funeral services for Nancy Barker, 66, Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Anoka, took place July 12 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Terrance Smith officiated.
Barker died July 3, 2003 in Mesa. She was born May 24, 1937 in Minneapolis and was retired from the Cornelius Company.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; children, Wendie Lapham (Mike), Curt Walstrom (Lynn), Tammy Siebert (Brian), Scot Walstrom and Kelly Stromquist (Chris), and grandchildren, Tera, Tina, Ryan, Leigh, Trevor, Jacob, Kyle, Jackie, Evan and Becca.
Honorary pallbearers were Kelly Stromquist, Wendie Lapham, Curt and Scot Walstrom, and Tammy Siebert.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Elmer DesCombaz
Funeral services for Elmer A. DesCombaz, 79, Coon Rapids, took place July 15 at Gearhart Funeral Chapel. Rev. Fred Tuma officiated.
DesCombaz died July 11, 2003 in Coon Rapids. He was born Feb. 15, 1924 in Virgil, S.D., to Alfred and Katherine DesCombaz and was a retired construction foreman.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; children, Cynthia (Gary) Johnson, Gary DesCombaz, Cheryl DesCombaz, Thomas (Janice) DesCombaz; grandchildren, Jennifer, Judd, Chad, Paul, Raechel, Matthew, Richard, Douglas, Michael, Jeffrey, and Jaime; great-granddaughter, Jenessa; and brothers, John and Larry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Irene and Alvera; brothers, Alvin and Reuben; and daughter, Denise.
Interment was at Epiphany cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Jules Hukee Jr.
Funeral services for Jules R. Hukee Jr., 59, Anoka, took place July 2 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka.
Hukee died June 28, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Hukee; children, Randy (Cindy) Hukee; Shelly (Scott) Darsow, Hollie Hukee, Kelly Hukee; grandchildren, Austen, Andrew, Alex, and baby to come; mother, Elizabeth Hukee; and siblings, Elizabeth (Sam) Deretich, Byron (Julie) Hukee, and Jocelyn (Keith) Kilpatrick.
He was preceded in death by his father, J. Randolph Hukee.
Interment was at West Oak Grove cemetery.
Jacqueline Johnson
Funeral services for Jacqueline Johnson, 64, Coon Rapids, will take place Monday, July 21 at Peace Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Will Sappington will officiate.
Johnson died July 10, 2003 in Coon Rapids. She was born March 18, 1939 in Nome, N.D., and was employed in human resources at Target.
She is survived by her husband, Serman; children, Shelly (Ken) Walberg, Troy (Karen) Johnson, Nancy (Phil) Reichel; grandchildren, JoCee, Jena, Jon, Alex, Sierra, Jordan, Jacson; brothers, and sisters, Alvina (Ray) Miller, LeRoy (Marlyne) Skramstad, JoAnn (Gerald) Sowden, Gerald (Sharon) Skramstad, Carol (James) Peterson, Sandra (Robert) Hanson, Barbara (William) Nogowski; aunt, Getta Evenson; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Oscar; mother, Stella; and grandchildren, Anna, Olivia and Kira.

Robert Linge
Funeral services for Robert Leo Linge, 70, Mesa, Ariz., formerly of East Bethel, took place July 10 at Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel. Rev. Dennis Wright officiated.
Linge died July 7, 2003 at Cambridge Health Care Center. He was born Dec. 10, 1932 in Douds, Iowa, to Leo and Inez (Griffith) Linge. He owned and operated Bob's Sports Center for several years and was a member of the East Bethel Volunteer Fire Department and was a charter member of the Cedar/East Bethel Lions Club.
He is survived by his children, Denise Vickstrom and significant other Jeff Kloeppel of Mora, Dawn (Brian) Griep of Bethel, David Linge of Pine City, Daryl (Peggy) Linge of Lakeland; former wife, Darlene Linge of Ham Lake; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Norma (Jerry) Huggins of Tampa, Fla.; nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; half-brothers; and a granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Brian Griep, Jeff Kloeppel, and Daryl and David Linge.
Interment was at St. Columbanus cemetery, Blooming Prairie. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel.
Lauren Luke
Funeral services for Lauren J. (Hibbard) Luke, 51, East Bethel, took place July 3 in Pennsylvania.
Luke died July 1, 2003 at Windber Hospice, Pa. She was employed by Allina Healthcare as a registered LPN hospice nurse, was an Anoka County 4-H volunteer, St. Francis School District PTA member, active in the North Metro Soccer Association, the Miss St. Francis and East Bethel pageants and the Minneapolis Aquatennial, and a choir member at Horizon Community Church, East Bethel.
She is survived by her parents, Muriel and Don Luke of Johnstown, Pa.; children, Jesse Hibbard of Orono, Bethany Hibbard of Laconia, N.H.; Shannah Hibbard and Cody Hibbard, both of East Bethel; sisters, Jennifer Colbert, Rebecca Urban and Stephanie Partsch; and best friend, Charlotte Anderson of Apple Valley.
Joan Nelson
Funeral services for Joan Catherine Nelson, 77, Anoka, took place July 10 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Bill Deziel officiated.
Nelson died July 7, 2003 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Feb. 14, 1926 in Bemidji to John Baptiste Duracha and Maud Ella Murray. She was retired secretary to the superintendent of School District 11.
She is survived by her husband, Tuffy; sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Tris, Corey and Dana; grandchildren, Gregor, Car, Yale, and Travis (Keri); great-grandchildren, Tyla, Adin and Kale; and sister, Dorothy DeLeo.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Ann Chase.
Interment was at Calvary cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Gearhart.
Jordan Pitschka
Funeral services for Jordan Alan Pitschka, one day, Andover, took place July 10 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Joel Cycenas officiated.
He died July 5, 2003 at Mercy Hospital. He was born July 4.
He is survived by his mother, Tina King; father, Rich Pitschka; sisters, TeAnna and Megan; grandparents, Steven and Diane King, Rita King, Sharon Palmer; and great-grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Interment was at West Oak Grove cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
