Gloria Krull

Funeral services for Gloria C. Krull, 74, Blaine, took place Aug. 16 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Blaine Chapel. Rev. Bill Steinke officiated.

Krull died Aug. 12, 2003. She was born April 20, 1929 in Minneapolis to James Allen and Leona Schmitz.

She is survived by her husband, Hal; children, Sam, Debbra, Jeff and Ken; grandchildren, Katina, Krissy, Aaron, Skyler, Gage, Graden and Zachary; great-granddaughter, Natalie; and other family and friends.

Pallbearers were Sam, Ken, Jeff and Aaron Krull.

Interment was at Oakland cemetery, Marine-on-St. Croix. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home.

Kenneth Laska

Funeral services for Kenneth A. Laska, 88, Anoka, took place Aug. 14 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Dale W., Erhman officiated.

Laska died Aug. 11, 2003 at the Anoka Care Center. He was born March 8, 1915 in New Brighton to Martin and Elizabeth (Tauer) Laska and was an auctioneer.

He is survived by his wife, Rosella; daughters, Arlene Strand and husband Robert, Betty Chouinard and husband Elwin, Susan Hillberg and husband Leland; foster son, Fred Dailey and wife Lorraine; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Henry Laska and wife Evelyn; sisters, Mildred Marinon and Julia Erickson and husband Clifford; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, James; granddaughter, Bonnie Chase; foster son, Robert Dailey; and foster grandson, Jeff Dailey.

Pallbearers were Toney Tronson, Dana Wagner, Martin Hillberg, Bradley Chase, Bruce Rabine and Andy DuPlessis. Honorary pallbearers were John Britz and Jim Menne.

Interment was at St. Joseph's cemetery, Lino Lakes. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Harry Lucht

Funeral services for Harry F. Lucht, 87, Mountain Lake, formerly of Anoka, took place Aug. 16 at Forest Hill cemetery. Chaplain Ben Doughty officiated.

Lucht died Aug. 8, 2003 at Mountain Lake Good Samaritan Village. He was born 0ct. 26, 1915 in Maple Grove to William F. Lucht and Emma H. Huebner, and was a longtime employee at Williams Pipeline Co.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gust, Adolph and Oscar Lucht; and sisters, Lillie Ziebarth and Ida Bigham.

Interment was at Forest Hill cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

George Morgan

Funeral services for George E. Morgan, 81, Blaine, took place Aug. 19 at Gearhart Funeral Chapel. Revs. James Leston, Steve Hoffman and Tim Driskell officiated.

Morgan died Aug. 15, 2003 in Robbinsdale. He was born March 5, 1022 in Sioux City, Iowa, to George and Lillian Morgan and was a retired machinist.

He is survived by his wife, Eloise; sons and daughter-in-law, James and Chris, and Mike; daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Lenny Bartholomew and Laura and Scott Sharp; grandchildren, Jessica, Brandon, Angie and Andrea; sister, LaVonne Bicknell; and special friends, Joel and Janice Adcock.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Rob; and brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers were Scott Sharp, LeRoy Fuller, Lenny Bartholomew, Bob Amborn, Dick Woodbeck and Vern Pierce.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Chapel-Coon Rapids.

Marian Norman

Funeral services for Marian Elizabeth (Reese) Norman, 82, Anoka, took place Aug. 12 at Independent Baptist Church, Ramsey. Revs. Chuck Nichols and Robert E. Reese officiated.

Norman died Aug. 9, 2003 at North Memorial Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1921 in Newport News, Va., to Thomas and Sarah (James) Reese. She retired from civil service at the U.S. Department of Agriculture after 31 years, played guitar entertaining the troops for the USO during World War II, was an artist, and wrote a book of gospel poetry.

She is survived by her husband, Darwin (Dee) of Anoka; son, Danny of Anoka; daughter, Dorothy Pierce and husband C. Thomas of Taylorville, Ill.; granddaughters, Lisa Rogerson, Amy Ryan and April Pierce, all of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Chaplain Alice Thomas, Mabel Mullen and Roxie Riddle, all of Newport News, Va.; brothers, Thomas Reese of Hampton, Va., and Rev. Robert Reese of Atlantic, Va.; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James and William Reese; and sister, Sarah Gsell.

Pallbearers were Tom Pierce, Dan Norman, Steve Danielson, Dan Cooper, Dick Schroeder and Bill Reed.

Interment was at Lakeview cemetery, Nowthen. Arrangements were by Anderson Funeral Home, Montevideo

Raymond Peterson

Funeral services for Raymond Leroy Peterson, 72, Andover, took place Aug. 16 at Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel. Dr. Roger Anderson officiated.

Peterson died Aug. 13, 2003 at Mercy Hospital. He was born March 4, 1931 in Fargo, N.D., to John and Helen Peterson. He was retired from NSP.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; children, Bonnie Olson and Nick Wolf of Isanti, Raymond Peterson Jr. and Fran and her children, Sheri and Mike of Bethel, Richard Peterson and Barb Kindseth and her children Cody and Katie of Isanti; David Peterson of Andover; brother, Robert Peterson of Fargo, N.D; grandchildren, James Olson and Sharon Olson; great-granddaughter, Alisa; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen; brothers, Babe and Buck; grandson, Craig; and son-in-law, James Olson Sr.

Pallbearers were Loren Wright, Kirk Krueger, Doug Anderson, Donny Patlin, Jimmy Olson and Larry Heller.

Interment was at Athens Lutheran cemetery. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel.

Mindi Scheibe

Funeral services for Mindi Ann Scheibe, 29, Anoka, took place Aug. 15 at Fish Lake Lutheran Church, North Branch.

Scheibe died Aug. 12, 2003 at her home.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Annalise; parents, David Schaaf and Barbara Sauer and husband Dale; brother, Brenden Schaaf; sister, Katie Schaaf; grandmothers, Helen Bolter and Deloris Schaaf; parents-in-law, Karen and Raymond Scheibe; grandmother-in-law, Ruby Scheibe; stepbrothers, Mark and Mike Sauer; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Interment was at Fish Lake Lutheran cemetery. Arrangements were by Grandstrand Funeral Home, North Branch.

Robert Schwantz

Funeral services for Robert L. Schwantz 72, Coon Rapids, took place Aug. 21 at Gearhart Coon Rapids Funeral Home. Rev. Rex Beyer officiated.

Schwantz died Aug. 5, 2003 in Coon Rapids. He was born Aug. 5, 1931 in Bertha to Roy D. Schwantz and Eva Cary and was retired from Honeywell.

He is survived by his wife, Frances M.; sons, Robert, David (Brenda) Schwantz; sister, Jacqueline (Jerome) Hokanson; special friend, Fritz; and many other friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marguerite.

He was cremated. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home.

Teresa Tatge

Funeral services for Teresa I. Tatge, 85, Coon Rapids, took place Aug. 11 at Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home. Rev. James Martin officiated.

Tatge died Aug. 5, 2003 in Coon Rapids. She was born Oct. 24, 1917 in Howard, S.D., to Peter Krantz and Pearl Young.

She is survived by her sons, Roger and Donald; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald.

Interment was at Glen Haven, Crystal. Arrangements were by Gearhart.

Martha Walbolt

Funeral services for Martha M. Walbot, 81, Andover, formerly of Danville and Walnut Creek, Calif., took place Aug. 18 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Danville, Calif.

Walbot died Aug. 12, 2003 at Farmstead at Andover. She was born Feb. 4, 1922 in St. Louis, Mo., to William F. Detert and Bessie Ware and was a retired administrative assistant at Shell Chemical.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Wolbolt Steiner of Sherborn, Mass., Gus Walbot of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Rev. Eric Walbot of Champlin; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David H. Walbot.

Interment was at Oakmont cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Calif. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Shirley Borrud

Funeral services for Shirley Loretta Borrud, 72, Anoka, took place Aug. 26 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Liane Rock officiated.

Borrud died Aug. 22, 2003 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital. She was born Oct. 1, 1930 in York, N.D., to Eugene Shiek and Aleda Straabe, She was an education para-professional and active at Zion Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Chester C. Borrud; daughters, Dr. Lori G. Borrud (Neil Gamson), Dr. Aleta A. Borrud (Dr. James Findlay), and Rebecca L. Borrud (Denis Houle); grandchildren, Hannah and J. Alexander Findlay, Nathan Gamson, and Anton and Dmitri Houle; sister, Sheila L. Leydig (Dr. Richard Leydig); nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Denis Houle, Dr. James Findlay, Dr. Neil Macheledt, Mark Evenma, Dr. William Rock, and Dr. Richard Leydig. Honorary pallbearers were Donald Norris, Carl Holmgren, Jerry Jacob, Robert Borrud, Neil Gamson, Thomas Leydig, John Weaver and Warren Lindeke

Interment was at Lakewood cemetery, Minneapolis. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka Chapel.
