Edward Schwartz
Funeral service for Edward L. Schwartz, 79, Ham Lake, took place May 23, 2006 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Schwartz was a carpenter and farmer.
He is survived by his son, Lawrence (Joy); grandchildren, Catherine and Ryan Schwartz; brothers and sisters, Mildred Tobritzhofer, Lorayne Locke, Robert Schwartz (Marvel), Donna Olsen (Donald(); and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Matilda; and brother, August 'George.'
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Richard Walter
Richard Walter, 63, Coon Rapids, died May 20, 2006 at Fairacres Care Center.
Walter was born March 27, 1943 in Clearfield, S.D., to Rudy and Katheryn (Ernst) Walter. He worked in the telecommunications field for Comcast as an installer.
He is survived by his sister, Loretta Kahler and husband Ralph of Greeley, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Arrangements were by Adamson Memorial Chapels, Greeley, Colo.
Josephine West
Funeral service for Josephine Elizabeth West, 87, Mora, formerly of Anoka County, took place May 22 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Deacon Don Tzinski and Rev. Nicholas Zimmer officiated.
West died on May 14, 2006 at the Villa Health Care Center, Mora. She was born March 10, 1919 in Leola, S.D., to Frank and Martha (Geffre) Grabowska. She farmed and later worked for Cornelius Co. before retiring.
She is survived by her children, John (Debbie) West of Milaca, Bernard 'Shorty' West of Brunswick, Laurie (Charlie) Illstrup of Braham, Rory West of Brunswick and Charles West of Brunswick; sisters, Florence Miller of Anoka, Veronica Hehn of Seattle, Wash.; brothers, Albert Grabowska of Goodrich, Arlen Grabowska of Champlin; grandchildren, Shane, Shawn, Adam, Jaymie, Mary, Sarah, Amie and April; great-grandchildren, Garrot, John and Brooke Nancy; and many other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmet; daughter, Nancy; grandson, Shawn; parents, Frank and Martha Grabowska; sister, Delores; and brothers, Bernard, Francis, Norbert and Leslie Grabowska.
Interment was at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Isanti. Arrangements by Rock Mankie Burial and Cremation Service, Braham.
Donna Young
Funeral service for Donna Olson Young, 72, Coon Rapids, took place May 20, 2006 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Young is survived by her children, Dawn Price-Morris (Buzz), Taffy Masica (Randy), Dana Young (Penny), Doreen Young (Bernie Sinnott); grandchildren, Tarin, John, Mason, Dylan and Haylee; five step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald Olson (JunJa) and Vincent Olson; and other relatives, sons-in-law and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; and grandson, Tony.

Tracy Curtis
Funeral service for Tracy A. Curtis (Zimmer), 43, Andover, took place May 25 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids. Rev. Wehmann officiated.
Curtis died May 21, 2006 at her home. She was born Dec. 11, 1962 in Wonder Lake, Ill. She was a 1981 graduate of Totino-Grace High School and a 13-year employee of Steak and Ale, Roseville.
She is survived by her husband, Mitch; children, Max, Georgia and Sophia; mother, Carole Zimmer; sisters, Christy (Mark) Loahr, Susie (Tom) Zahratka and Jane Zimmer; brothers, Paul Zimmer Jr. (Elizabeth) and Dave Zimmer (Nancy); mother and father-in-law, Susanne (Ken) Simpson and Wallace Curtis; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Zimmer.

Charles Johnson
Funeral service for Charles Duayne 'Chuck' Johnson, 61, Dayton, took place May 26 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Rachael A. Gusaas officiated.
Johnson died May 23, 2006 at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale. He was born Dec. 1, 1944 in Grafton, N.D., to Arnold Newman Clifford and Gladys Marion (Moe) Johnson. He was a veteran and retired supervisor at US West Telephone after 25 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Chris (Laura); daughter, Shannon (Joe) Paetzel; grandson, Connor; and brothers, Richard (Carol) and Dennis (Pat).
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kara; and parents, Arnold and Gladys.
Pallbearers were Tony Schreiber, Eric and Ben Halbert, Peter and Andy Johnson and Joe Paetzel.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Carol Justad
Funeral service for Carol Ann Justad, 70, Cedar, took place May 30 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, East Bethel. Rev. Tessa Moon-Leiseth officiated.
Justad died May 24, 2006 at Unity Hospital. She was born Nov. 18, 1935 in Stanley, N.D., to Einar and Anna Wangerud. She was very active in Anoka County 4-H and was a leader for 30 years.
She is survived by her son, Tim (Robin) Justad of Cedar; four grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Koranda of International Falls, Ellen Davis of Baudette, Della (Raymond) Davis of Coon Rapids; brother, Curt Wangerud of Baudette; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald.
Pallbearers were Ryan Braastad, Jeff, John and Scott Davis, Dino McCoy and Ron Olson.
Interment was at the Cedar Cemetery. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel.
Lillian Mozuch
Funeral service for Lillian C. Mozuch, 86, Coon Rapids, took place May 26 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Terry Beeson officiated.
Mozuch died at Mercy Hospital May 22, 2006. She was born Aug. 3, 1919 in Pittsburgh, Pa., to John and Josephine (Mitzowski) Mozuch and was a retired waitress.
She is survived by her sister, Frances Stacherski of Coon Rapids; nephews, Ray (Pam) Stacherski of Andover and John (Eileen) Mozuch of Pennsylvania; niece, Michaelene Gon of Ohio; and great-nieces and nephews.
Interment was at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
John Rathbun
Funeral service for John H. Rathbun, 83, Anoka, will take place Wednesday, June 14, 7 p.m., at Trinity Episcopal Church, Anoka.
Rathbun died May 13, 2006. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945-46 as a technical sergeant in the Philippines and Korea and was retired soil conservationist with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta; sister, Mildred Johnson; daughter, Gail A. Rachdi; son, Gary J. (Eileen); granddaughter, Anna L.; grandson, Naseem Rachdi; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest G.; and mother, Clara M. (Wright).
Stanley Skogquist
Funeral service for Stanley Lavern Skogquist, 81, Burns Township, took place May 30 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Norman Berg officiated.
Skogquist died May 23, 2006 at his home. He was born April 21, 1925 in Ramsey Township to Oscar and Elsie (Benson) Skogquist an was a retired foreman at Midwest Breeders.
He is survived by his children, John Skogquist, Marlys Skogquist and Paul (Elizabeth) Skogquist; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Jenna, Lauren, Ethan and Leah; brothers, Lester, Harry and Kenneth Skogquist; in-laws, Florence Skogquist, Shirley Sagedal, Judy Hammerstad, Clarence (Muriel) Graves and Eugene (Jeanette) Graves; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June; brother, Gerald; and brother-in-law Floyd Sagedal.
Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Nowthen. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Joan Torola

Witt died May 21, 2006 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Feb. 13, 1965 in Little Falls.
He is survived by his parents, Donna and Richard; sisters, Rebecca (Christopher) Zins and Sarah Erchul; and nieces and nephews, Christopher Jr., Rachel and Sarah Zins, Elizabeth and Alexander Erchul.
