Memorial service for Marjorie (Peggy) Schroeder, 80, Coon Rapids, will take place June 24, 9:30 a.m., at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fridley.

Schroeder died March 12, 2006. She was born Aug. 20, 1925 in Wahpeton, N.D., to Manning and Mayme (Leistico) Boddy.

She is survived by her mother, Mayme Martin of Valparaiso, Ind.; husband, Melvin; children and spouses, Sylvia and Elmar Mazurs of Cedar, Dean and Connie Schroeder of Valparaiso, Ind., Reed Schroeder of Coon Rapids, Neil Schroeder of Coon Rapids, Gwen Willems and Paul Schroeder of St. Paul; grandchildren, Michael Long, Matthew Mazurs, Alexandra Schroeder, Elizabeth Schroeder, Victoria Schroeder; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Manning Raymond Boddy.

Werner Sibbel

Funeral service for Werner Sibbel, 78, Coon Rapids, took place June 2 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Jerry Smith officiated.

Sibbel died May 30, 2006 at Camilia Rose Convalescent Center, Coon Rapids. He was born June 8, 1927 in Seslaken to Otto and Berta (Kubitat) Sibbel and was a retired cabinet maker.

He is survived by his children, Monika Palider, Mary Ann (Duane) St. Hilaire and Don (Carol); grandchildren, Kevin, April, Sara (Jeremy Johnson), Michelle and Erika; great-grandson, Tyler; and brother, Kurt.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Erika; and son-in-law, Joe Palider.

Pallbearers were April and Duane St. Hilaire, Kevin Palider, Paul Watercott, Jeremy Johnson and Dave Peacock.

Interment was at Garden of Hope Cemetery, Ramsey. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.

Donald Steinke

Funeral service for Donald Steinke, 75, Aitkin, formerly of Blaine, took place June 6 at Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Chapel. Rev. Valerie Brown-Greenly officiated.

Steinke died May 31, 2006 in Aitkin. He was born Jan. 27, 1931 in LaCrosse, Wis., to Rudolph and Erna Steinke. He was a retired employee of FMC.

He is survived by his children, Colin (Connie) Steinke, Adriane (Daniel) Duff, Audrey Steinke, Matthew (Julia) Steinke, Cheryl (Charlie) Castner and Tami Steinke; grandchildren, Joshua, Mitchell, Mackenzie, Ian, Isaac and Grace; brother-in-law, William (Nancy) Bockmann; and other relatives and friends.

Arrangements were by Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel.

David VanVleet

Funeral service for David A. VanVleet, 67, Blaine, took place June 2 at Christ Lutheran Church, Blaine. Rev. John Bucka officiated.

VanVleet died May 29, 2006 in St. Paul. He was born Sept. 15, 1938 in Brownsdale to Roy and Alice VanVleet and was employed in sewer and water construction.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Mike (Ginny) of Ham Lake, Kim (Lennie) Lindberg of Isanti, Terry (Teresa) of Spring Lake Park; grandchildren, Jason, Jamie, Jakki Lindberg, Jeff and Jill VanVleet, William and Michael Schooley; siblings, Ron (Sue) VanVleet of Carlisle, Iowa, and June (Darwin) Brugger of Mesa, Ariz.; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Alice.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Priscilla Vickstrom

Memorial service for Priscilla Lee Vickstrom, 73, Cambridge, formerly of Anoka County, took place June 8 at Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel. Rev. Bill Steinke officiated.

Vickstrom died June 3, 2006 at the Cambridge Health Care Center. She was born Nov. 24, 1932 in Minneapolis to John and Louise Coulter.

She is survived by her sons, Donald (Susan), John, Robert (Val) and Richard; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia (Bill) Severson; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marlin; and grandson, Tony.

Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home.

Marilyn Michaels

Funeral service for Marilyn P. Michaels, 77, Coon Rapids, took place June 12 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Blaine. Rev. Chuck Brambilla officiated.

Michaels died June 7, 2006. She was born April 28, 1929 in Minneapolis to Frank and Evelyn McKenna.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Linda), Tim (Shari), Jeff (Kim) and David; daughter, Cathleen (Don) Lubinski; grandchildren, Ann (Eric) Kemp, Kelli, Douglas (Michelle), Steve (Amanda), Ben, Craig, Amy, Tony, Austin, Savannah and Sierra; great-grandsons, Alec and Ryan Kemp, Ethan Michaels; and many other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill.

Interment was at Epiphany Catholic Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Lydia Noreen

Funeral service for Lydia R. Noreen, 105, Osseo, took place June 8 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Jim Donald officiated.

Noreen died June 4, 2006 at Berkshire Residence, Osseo. She was born June 1, 1901 in Mound to August and Bertha Dongoske.

She is survived by her daughter, Carole (Ervin) Christensen; granddaughters, Paula and Dawn Christensen; great-granddaughter, Lindsay Christensen; sisters-in-law, Alice Noreen and Murial Trotter; and many nieces and nephews.

Interment was at Lewis Cemetery, Maple Plain. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Melvin Priebe

Funeral service for Melvin Priebe, 90, Coon Rapids, took place June 10 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Rev. Jim Martin officiated.

Priebe died June 4, 2006 in Anoka. He was born Feb. 14, 1916 in Slayton to Arnold and Caroline Priebe and was a retired machine operator.

He is survived by his son, Robert; daughters, Connie Rivers, Faye Priebe and Audrey Heien; brother, Randolph (Jane); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta; and son, Verlin.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home.

David Wahl

Funeral service for David J. Wahl, 43, Cambridge, took place June 9, 2006 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

He is survived by his father, Ordean; brothers, Rick and Dennis; nephew, Cory (Sonja); and nieces, Charity and Tiffany.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy; and grandparents.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.

Richard Bune

Private memorial service for Richard M. 'Dick' Bune, 86, Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Anoka, took place April 28 in Cave Creek, Ariz.

Bune died April 10, 2006. He was born Nov. 24, 1919 in Anoka to E.O. 'Ed' and Clara Bune. He was a star athlete at Anoka High School, was the first master caddy at Greenhaven Golf Course and won seven club championships, including four in a row. He was a lifetime member of the Anoka Shriners and Masonic Temple and in 2004, he was given his 50-year certificate of membership from the Masonic Temple.

He is survived by his daughter, Sally (Bune) Winter of San Diego, Calif; son, Richard C. (Chuck) Bune of Cave Creek, Ariz; grandchildren, Justine Bune of Tucson, Ariz, and Joel Richard Winter of San Diego; sister, Barbara Lee of Spokane, Wash.; sister-in-law, Harriet Bune of Anoka; four nephews; and four nieces.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Dehn).

Frances Cowden

Funeral service for Frances Elizabeth Cowden, 83, Anoka, took place June 16 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Terry Beeson officiated.

Cowden died June 13, 2006 at Anoka Care Center. She was born Jan. 30, 1923 in St. Paul to Frank and Helen (Husnik) Nejedly and was a retired nurses aide.

She is survived by her children, Lorynda (Lyle) Smith, Lucinda Hicks, Loren and Lloyd 'Butch' Cowden; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, John Nejedly; sister, Agnes (Delmar) Schmelzer; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren.

Pallbearers were Lloyd Cowden, Jeffrey Rusert, Joseph and Justin Sharbono, Dennis Hills and Christopher Hagen.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Irene Fossen

Funeral service for Irene Muriel Fossen, 83, New Hope, formerly of Anoka, took place June 21 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church. Rev. Blair K. Anderson officiated.

Fossen died June 17, 2006 at Ambassador Good Samaritan Center, New Hope. She was born Jan. 30, 1923 in Browns Valley to Harry David and Florence May (Ashbaugh) Morse and was a retired bookkeeper.

She is survived by her children, Edwin (Myra), Sharon (Burton) Pansch and Kevin (Denise); grandchildren, Glee (Jay) Slader, Corrie (Kari) Pansch, Heidi Pansch, Perry Fossen, Slade Fossen, AJ (Lynn) Fossen, Tami (Jody) Ahlstrom and Lori Fossen; great-grandchildren, Ryan Slader, Kaylee and Riley Pansch, Jamison and Cooper Ahlstrom, Aron, Caleb and Alisha Thunem; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond.

Pallbearers were AJ, Lori, Perry and Slade Fossen, Glee Slader, Corrie and Heidi Pansch and Tami Ahlstrom.

Interment was at Holden Lutheran Church Cemetery, Beardsley. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
