Lois Krzyzanowski
Funeral service for Lois Rebecca Krzyzanowski, 72, Coon Rapids, took place June 15 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Bernard Reiser officiated.
Krzyzanowski died June 12, 2006 at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale. She was born July 23, 1934 in Minneapolis to Nels and Astrid Sparrings. She was a retired registered nurse.
She is survived by her children, Alexandria (Christopher Montes), Alexander Jr., Katherine Krzyzanowski and Jeffrey Teutz; grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Naomi and Amanda Wolfe, Jaimie Martin; great-granddaughter, Marley Rose Wolfe; sister-in-law, Frances (Virgil) Callins, Irene (David) Piper and Helen Erickson; and brother-in-law, Louie Krzyzanowski.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Sr.; son, Kenneth; parents, Nels and Astrid Sparrings; brother-in-law, Edward Krzyzanowski; and sister-in-law, Emily Platzke.
Pallbearers were Christopher Montes, Brian Baker, Aaron Wolfe, Roger Norberg and Louie and Alexander Jr. Krzyzanowski.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Donald Nelson
Funeral service for Donald John Nelson, 62, Oak Grove, took place June 17 at Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel. Chaplain Bill Steinke officiated.
Nelson died June 13, 2006 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1943 in Anoka to Harold and Delores (Freemire) Nelson. He worked as a machinist at Ware Manufacturing.
He is survived by his brother, Gary Nelson of Oak Grove; and by several friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Delores.
Pallbearers were Doug Anderson, Duane Collins, Tom Guyer, Steve Orttel, Rick Peterson and Dewey Swanson.
Interment was in West Oak Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home.
Gerald Rohleder
Funeral service for Gerald R. Rohleder, 72, Coon Rapids, took place June 19 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. David Doppenberg officiated.
Rohleder died June 14, 2006. He was born Aug. 20, 1933 in Minneapolis to George and Tynne Rohleder and was employed at NSP for 40 years as a relay specialist.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Terry (Scott) Riste, Jenny Jarvi (Paul); grandson, Jeff Jarvi; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tim.
Pallbearers were Dan Pobuda, Richard Bogema, Tim Sherry, Marlin Johnson, Ron Gould and Myles Engelstad.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Richard Schendel
Richard W. Schendel, 63, Longview, Wash., formerly of Andover, died June 9, 2006.
He is survived by his daughter, Delaine Johnson; stepson, Tracy (Melissa) French; grandchildren, Richard and Katrina Johnson, Guy and Erin French; brother, Roger; and sisters, Gwen Vaillancourt, Hazel Vandenberg, Mona (Frank) Ketzeback and Marie (Robert) Larsen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and one sister.
Lloyd Winter
Funeral service for Lloyd A. Winter, 80, Coon Rapids, took place June 22 at Thurston-Lindberg Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Bernard Reiser officiated.
Winter died June 17, 2006 at his lake cabin in Pine City. He was born Oct. 3, 1925 in Minneapolis to George J. and Alma A (Noeske) Winter. He was a U.S. Marine Corps World War II veteran serving in Guam, Marianas, Okinawa and Ryukya islands and was retired after 40 years as a switchman for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Linda (Rick) Brodersen of Coon Rapids, Leanne (Steve) Brown of Elk River, Marilee (Mark) Parsons of Hudson, Wis., Sherri (Jim) Miller of Andover, Patty (Cary) Thelen of Anoka; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alma Winter; brother, George Winter; and sister, Evelyn Dishneau.
Pallbearers were Rick and Landon Brodersen, Mark and Dylan Parsons, Jim Miller and Steve Brown.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Marion Draeger
Funeral service for Marion Joyce Thea Draeger, 82, Pine River, formerly of Andover, took place Jan. 3, 2005 at the Willim-St. Onge Family Funeral Home, Pine River.
Draeger died Dec. 30, 2004 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. She was born Dec. 7, 1922 near Bagley to William and Amanda Knutsen. She worked for 23 years for the Cornelius Company until her retirement.
She is survived by her son, Dan A. Draeger of Pine River; daughters, Sandra (Jon) Pierce of Chicago, Ill., Kathleen Jackson of Bloomington, Rebecca Halin of Andover; daughters-in-law, Marlene Graham-Brooks of Mound, Paula Westphal of Pine River; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Andrew Knutsen; sister, Doris Howell; and grandchildren, Melanie and Jonathan Draeger.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Willim-St. Onge Funeral Home.
Sandra Drentlaw
Funeral service for Sandra Lee Drentlaw, 57, Champlin, took place Jan. 4, 2005 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Dayton. Rev. Jim Remmerswaal officiated.
Drentlaw died Dec. 31, 2004. She was born April 27, 1947 in Kenmere, N.D., to Garrett Peter and Doris Luella (Nielsen) Condon.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald; daughters, Dawn (William) Hansen. Debra (Robert) Kramm, Darcie Drentlaw, Dana Sontag; son, Daniel Drentlaw; grandchildren, Kirsten and Kevin Hunt, Kyle and Katherine Hansen, Nathan, Sarah and Hannah Kramm, Ashley Thompson, Brent and Alicia Lampe, Garrett and Stephanie Sontag; mother, Doris Condon; brother, Garry (Lois) Condon; sisters, Janice (Michael) Kluck, Cheryl (Michael) O'Bryan and Gail (David) Kloos; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Garrett Condon.
Pallbearers were Daniel Drentlaw, William Hansen, Robert and Nathan Kramm, Brett Lampe and Garrett Sontag.
Interment was at St. John the Baptist Church, Dayton. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
James Frank
Funeral service for James P. Frank, 59, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 4, 2005 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Blaine. Rev. Harry Tasto officiated.
Frank died Dec. 31, 2004 in Coon Rapids. He was born Jan. 8, 1945 in St. Nicholas to John and Cecilia Frank. He was a truck driver and a member of Sgt. John Rice VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Joanne; daughter, Jody (Paul) Jahn; son, Joel; grandson, Jacob; sister, Diane Frank; sister-in-law, Donna Frank; and brothers, Alquin (Dorothy), Virgil (Marianna), Richard (Edie), Ronald (Eve) and Gerald (Rebecca).
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Edwin, Eugene and David.
Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Alice Gardner
Funeral service for Alice Gaslin Gardner, 80, Isanti, formerly of Soderville and Bethel, took place Jan. 5, 2005 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, East Bethel. Rev. Tessa Moon Leiseth officiated.
Gardner died Jan. 1, 2005. She was born June 27, 1924 in Soderville to Andrew and Anna Johnson.
She is survived by children, Barb (George) Kaldenberg of Osceola, Wis., Bernice (George) Kozak of Champlin, Inez Gaslin of Isanti, Kathy Simon of Sandstone, Mary (Rick) Bergman of Cambridge, Alice Gaslin of Isanti, John (Kathy) Gaslin of Pierz, Texas, Teresa (Bob) Sanford of Anoka, paul (Teresa) Gaslin of Ogilvie, Charlotte Cramblitt of Anoka; 42 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Gaslin and Homer Gardner; and children, Gilbert, Gene and Anna Gaslin and Sylvia Cramblitt.
Pallbearers were Joseph Bergman, Jerry Cramblitt Jr., Billy, Jacob, John Jr., Paul Jr. and Tico Gaslin and James Kozak. Honorary pallbearer was Rick Bergman.
Interment was at Our Saviour's Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel.
Clifford Johnson
Memorial service for Clifford Oswald Johnson, age 79, St. Francis, took place Jan. 2, 2005 at Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel. Rev. Rhodel Jacobson officiated.
Johnson died Dec. 30, 2004 at his home. He was born Nov. 27, 1925 in Aitkin to Carl Alfred and Frieda (Beneke) Johnson. He worked for Greason Manufacturing in Northeast Minneapolis for 21 years, retiring in 1988. At the time of his death, Johnson and Elizabeth were the newspaper delivery people in the St. Francis area for the Anoka Shopper, Scotsman and Courier.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sons, Dale Johnson and Robert Johnson; daughters, Lilly Turner, Debbie Johnson, Linda Shepardson and Lois Johnson; sister, Mabel Lindgren; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gerald; and infant son, Michael.
Interment was in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in Aitkin.
