Jessica Zieglmeier
Memorial service for Jessica Zieglmeier, 20, Isanti, formerly of Bethel, took place Sept. 23 at Bethel Community Church. Rev. Michael Sullivan officiated.
Zieglmeier died Sept. 20, 2005 in rural Isanti as a result of a four-wheeler and school bus accident. She was born May 5, 1985 in Minneapolis to Cyril and Leslie Zieglmeier and graduated from St. Francis High School in 2003. She was attending Anoka Technical College in the nursing program.
She is survived by her parents, Cyril and Lesley of Isanti; sister, Hidi (Jason) Culp of Elk River; grandmother, Dorothy Zieglmeier of Arizona; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary and Leslie Berg, Cyril and Bernidine Zieglmeier.
Interment was at Isanti Union Cemetery. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel.
Lynn Anderson
Memorial service for Lynn Markham Anderson, 58, Coon Rapids, took place Oct. 10, 2005 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
She is survived by her best friend, Mary; children, Tracy Bouley, Jenny (Todd) Streich, John Lindberg (Rhonda); grandchildren, Blake, Peyton, Jordan, Blaze and Brianna; brother, Dallas (Louise) Anderson; and sister, Valerie (Milton) Barnes.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Abigail; parents, Jasper and Grace; sister, Lazona; and brother, Donovan.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Malon Axelson
Funeral service for Malon W. Axelson, 87, Anoka, took place Oct. 13 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Axelson died at his home Oct. 9, 2005. He was born May 15, 1918 in Nowthen to Alford and Eva (Thompson) Axelson. He retired from Federal Cartridge after over 37 years.
He is survived by his sons, Allen (Julia) Axelson of Elk River, Charles (Audrey) Axelson of Finlayson, Larry (Bonnie) Axelson of Isanti, Michael Axelson of New Brighton; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Ada Paulson of Elk River; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Jill Brown
Funeral service for Jill K. Brown, 23, Blaine, took place Oct. 10 at Peace Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Nancy Bence officiated.
Brown died Oct. 3, 2005 in Coon Rapids. She was born April 14, 1982 in Minneapolis to Jerry and Jill Brown and was a government volunteer coordinator.
She is survived by her parents, Jerry and Joy; brothers, Steven (Helena) and Eric (Liz); grandparents, Harold and Lorraine Young; six aunts and uncles; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Jean Brown; and uncle, Rick.
Pallbearers were Jay Young, Tim and Matt Brown, Tom Johnson and Greg Knieser.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Della Bulen
Funeral service for Della Ethel Bulen, 89, Princeton, formerly of Anoka, took place Oct. 7 at the Princeton United Methodist Church.
Bulen died Oct. 3, 2005 at Elim Home in Princeton. She was born on Jan. 16, 1916 in Royalton to Fred and Ethel Janet (Holliday) Church. In 1947 she and her husband Wes moved to Anoka and 1951, the family moved to an 80-acre farm north of Anoka. She worked at Hoffman Engineering for 26 years, retiring in 1979. In 1983, the Bulens established Rum River Hills Golf Course on the family farm.
She is survived by her husband, Wesley; daughters and son, Delores (Robert) Gorr of Anoka, Margie Wesloh of Princeton, Douglas (Brenda Lear) Bulen of Pueblo, Colo., and Ardis (Joel) Aarhus of Princeton; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Laura, Myrtle, Alice; brothers, Lawrence and Clinton; and son-in-law, Jerry Wesloh.
Interment was at Oak Knoll Cemetery, Princeton. Arrangements were by Williams-Hanson-Kaun Funeral Home, Princeton.
Ricky Carlson
Funeral service for Ricky Carlson, 53, Circle Pines, formerly of Cedar, took place Oct. 12 at Cedar United Methodist Church, Ham Lake. Rev. Grant Tanner officiated.
Carlson died Oct. 6, 2005 at Unity Hospital. He was born in Wadena Sept. 7, 1952 to Richard and Irene Carlson. He was an implement mechanic and worked for Blaine Hardware until his health forced him to retire in 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl; daughter, Mandy Carlson of Circle Pines; son, Derrik (Corinn) Carlson of Glencoe; grandchildren, Maria Carlson of Glencoe and Timothy Benson of Arizona; one brother; four sisters; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Justin.
Pallbearers were Todd Anderson, Ryan Anondson, Jeff Gomall, Ricky Randall, Todd Roden and Louie Tulibaski. Honorary pallbearer was Dan Pederson.
Interment was at the Bohemian National Cemetery, Silver Lake. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home - Cambridge Chapel.
Lowell Ekstrand
Funeral service for Lowell J. Ekstrand, 51, Blaine, took place Oct. 6, 2005 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids.
Ekstrand was an employee of John Roberts, Coon Rapids.
He is survived by his wife, Lorrie; daughter, Shelly (Jonathon), Jessie and Jennie; grandchildren, Branden and Madison; brothers, Dennis (Ramona), Lonnie and Larry; sister, Janice Galbraith; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Bertha Ekstrand; sister, Diane Sundgaard; and niece, Lori Doran.

Richard Gibeau
Funeral service for Richard J. Gibeau, 56, Coon Rapids, took place Oct. 8, 2005 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
He is survived by his wife, Nanette; children, Chris (Bob), Kirsten (Bob), Jenni (Tony), Jason (Jill); seven grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Marie; and brothers, Kenneth and Russell.

Lois Gilson
Funeral service for Lois M. Gilson, 89, Coon Rapids, took place Oct. 6 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Gilson died Oct. 2, 2005.
She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Carlson and Sharon (Larry) Swift; grandchildren, Susan (James) Heyer, Barbara (Mark) Burgoon, Tracy Carlson, Lori (Gerald) Miller, Jeanne (Michael) Volkers, Brian Swift and Brandon Carlson; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Heyer, Sarah and Rebecca DeMars, Logan and Daniel Miller, Connor Volkers and Amanda and Ryan Carlson; great-great-grandchildren, Andrew and Sean Heyer; and many relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; and six brothers and sisters.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Dennis Hamm
Funeral service for Dennis L. Hamm, 68, Minneapolis, took place Oct. 11 at Glen Cary Lutheran Church, Ham Lake. Rev. Paul Settergren officiated.
Hamm died Oct. 7, 2005 at North Memorial Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1937 in Constance to Albert C. and Helen Skogsberg Hamm and was an auto upholsterer.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; sons, Steve (Mary) of Spring Lake Park, Tim of Minneapolis; daughter, Vicki (Ric) of Elk River; grandchildren, Nina, Jimmy, Nikki; great-grandson, Joey; brother, Daryl (Adeline) of Andover; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Helen Hamm; brother, Dwight; and sister, Barb Peters.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Waida, Mike Hamm, Brian Berg, Craig and Kenny DeWitt and Ric Haugland.
Interment was at Glen Cary Lutheran Cemetery, Ham Lake. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Rueben Johnson
Funeral service for Rueben W. Johnson, 80, Blaine, took place Oct. 7 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Rev. James Martin officiated.
Johnson died Oct. 4, 2005 in New Brighton. He was born April 16, 1925 in Kirkhaven to Carl and Agnes Johnson and was a retired truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; children, Debbie (David) Hansen, Becci (Milo) Degeest, Randy and Diane Johnson, Chuck Johnson, Scott and Nhu Tran Johnson; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jean Marie.
Pallbearers were Randy, Chuck and Scott Johnson, David Jensen, Milo Degeest and Kris Rakowski.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home.
