Marguerite Port

Funeral service for Marguerite 'Peggy' Port (Bovee), Coon Rapids, took place Oct. 24 at Coon Rapids United Methodist Church.

Port died Oct. 21, 2005.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Mike) Jensen, Gloria (Dave) Teske and Gayle (Loren); and grandchildren, Todd, Amy and Katie Jensen, Troy, Kerri and Cindy Teske and Cody Tenold.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Alan Sheldon

Funeral service for Alan G. Sheldon, 60, Isle, formerly of Ham Lake, took place Oct. 27 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Sheldon died suddenly Oct. 23, 2005 from a heart attack. He was a retired insurance agent.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; children, Christine (Allen) Culshaw, Gary Sheldon, Melissa (Douglas) Larson, John (Tracee) Keeley; grandchildren, Joshua, Catherine, Amanda, Trevor, Rebecca and Brandon; sisters, Karen Sheldon, Diane (Del) Morgan, Sandra (Don) Grosland, Barbara (Rick) Nelson, Janet (Terry) Autey, Kim (Jack) Sheldon; stepmother, Gwen Sheldon; in-laws, Elmer and Betty Johnson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Viola; and brothers, Butch and Greg.

Interment was at Sunset Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.

Merle Troup

Funeral service for Merle A. Troup, 85, Blaine, took place Nov. 2 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Mounds View. Rev. Richard A. Krogen officiated.

Troup died Oct. 28, 2005 in Fridley. He was born Aug. 11, 1920 in Reynoldsville, Pa., to Harry and Ora Troup and was a retired operating engineer.

He is survived by his sons, Leon and Todd (Carolyn); daughters, Andrea (Wayne) Oestreich and Sheri (Terry) Silbaugh; grandchildren, Chad, Mollie, Megan, Jared, Rebecca, Brandon and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Mykla, Hailey and Anika; brother, Harold (Peg), Brooks (Polly), Robert (Sylvia); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; and daughter, Susie.

Pallbearers were Leon and Todd Troup, Brandon and Shawn Silbaugh, Jared Chestler and Wayne Oestreich. Honorary pallbearers were Mollie and Megan Troup.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Violet Weaver

Funeral service for Violet L. Weaver, 92, Anoka, took place Oct. 24 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka.

Weaver died Oct. 19, 2005.

She is survived by her son, Darrell Weaver; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Weaver; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl L.; and son, Darrell Weaver.

Interment was at Sunset Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Anne Whalen

Funeral service for Anne E. Whalen, 86, Columbia Heights, took place Nov. 1 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Rev. James Cassidy officiated.

Whalen died Oct. 28, 2005. She was born March 31, 1919 in Minneapolis to Michael and Katherine Wally. She was a retired retail sales controller.

She is survived by her husband, Art; children, Donna (Dick) Triemert, Any (Rita) Stoddard, Jim Stoddard and Millie (Mike) Hayes; grandchildren, Chris, Janet, Cheryl, Kaytee, Randy, Nick and Tina; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Wally and Marie Kraklau; and nieces and nephews.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home.

Michael Crandall

Michael J. Crandall, 55, died Oct. 29, 2005. He was a disabled American veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; sons, Daniel, Dino, Michael and Mathew; father, Eugene; seven grandchildren; three sisters; and four brothers.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian; granddaughter, Nicole; and brother, Pat.

Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Edward Chinnock

Memorial service for Edward Murray Chinnock, 90, Andover, took place Nov. 6 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka.

Chinnock died Oct. 27, 2005. He taught in Cloquet schools for 32 years.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; daughter, Karen Rudd (Arthur); son, Robert Chinnock (Rorie); grandchildren, Kelly Rudd Schwenn (Jeff), Kristi Rudd Cetti (Jon), Eric, Adam and Brent Chinnock; great-granddaughters, Kara and Paige Schwenn; and aunt, Carol Walbrandt of San Dimas, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Mildred Kamprud

Funeral service for Mildred M. Kamprud, 88, Coon Rapids, took place Nov. 4 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Rev. Kyle Sidlo officiated.

Kamprud died Oct. 31, 2005. She was born Jan. 23, 1917 in Archdale, N.C., to William and Mary McCoy. She served her country in World War II and was a registered nurse.

She is survived by her son, John (Janyce); daughter, Patricia (David) Condon; grandchildren, John (Amy), David (Amber), Joanne (Ted), Sarah (Mike) and Jennifer; and nine great-grandchildren.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Thomas Konen

Funeral service for Thomas Neil Konen, five weeks, Coon Rapids, took place Nov. 4 at Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church, Dayton. Elmer Hokkanen officiated.

He died Nov. 1, 2005 in Minneapolis. He was born Sept. 23, 2005 in Coon Rapids to Josh Konen and Natalie Marquis.

He is survived by his parents, Josh Konen and Natalie Marquis; sister, Emelia Konen; and grandparents, aunts, family and friends.

Pallbearers were Travis Lind and Justin Holm.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Lela LaValley

Graveside service for Lela B. LaValley, 89, Blaine, took place Nov. 5 at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bill Steinke officiated.

LaValley died Nov. 2, 2005. She was born Jan. 23, 1916 in Becker to Aubrey and Gertrude Goff.

She is survived by her son, Rodney; daughters, Candy Singer and Alyce Monroe; grandchildren, Dustin, China, Joe and Tammy; and great-grandchildren, Isis, Tyler, Megan and Brandon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; sisters and brothers, Amber Hardy, Ernest Goff, Carl Goff, Donna Gran, Audrey Anderson and Opal Goff.

Pallbearers were Al, China and Dustin Singer, Rodney LaValley, Terry Gran and Joe Monroe.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Elmer McIntyre

Funeral service for Elmer L. McIntyre, 75, St. Francis, took place Nov. 4 at Long Lake Lutheran Church, Isanti. Rev. Howard Skulstad officiated.

McIntyre died Nov. 1, 2005 at Cambridge Medical Center. He was born March 13, 1930 in Williston, N.D., to Charles and Fern McIntyre. He served in the U.S. Army Second Indianhead Division in Korea, was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association, the St. Francis American Legion and the VFW. He retired from Federal Cartridge Corporation where he worked as an electrician for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; children, Sandra (Jack) Knowlen, Michael (Vira) Hansen, Cindy (Steven) Tsukichi; grandchildren, Kelly (Augustine) Ortiz, Julie (Shane) Turner, Anjonette Knowlen and fiance Eric Scott, Colleen (Matt) Warner, Jared Knowlen, Christopher Tsukichi, Jenna (David) Stark; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty (Philip) Lundeen and Sharon (Mark) Edin; and by many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Byron, Gary and Lawrence.

Pallbearers were St. Francis American Legion Post members.

Interment was in Oakview Cemetery, St. Francis. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Home - Cambridge Chapel.
