Adeline Belair
Funeral service for Adeline Frances 'Fran' Belair, 83, Park Rapids, took place Aug. 8 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Park Rapids. Rev. Dennis Wieland officiated.
Belair died Aug. 5, 2006 at the Heritage Living Center, Park Rapids. She was born Dec. 4, 1922 in Todd Township, Hubbard County, to Eugene and Mary (Hensel) Neumayer, married Bernard (Bernie) Belair and made a home in Minneapolis, then Dayton where they lived on a hobby farm for 15 years until 2000 when they moved back to Park Rapids.
An active volunteer in the parochial schools, Belair is survived by her husband Bernie of Park Rapids, sons Thomas (Shawna) of Blaine, Jayme (Patty) of Champlin and Joseph (Mila) of Elk River, sister Leona Webb of Redding, Calf., three grandchildren, two special nephews, Eugene and Paul, and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Carl, Vic, Vinc and Louey Neumayer and sisters Clara Munro and Marie Goff.
Internment was at St. Peters Cemetery in Park Rapids.
Robert Lee Bien
Funeral service for Robert Lee Bien, 35, Oakdale, Calf., took place July 31 at the Washburn-McReary Seman Chapel. Rev. Syverson officiated.
Bien died July 24, 2006 in Modesto, Calf. He was born July 27, 1970 in Minneapolis. He is survived by children Elizabeth, Johnny and Jacob, parents Frankie and Caryl; brothers Richard and Randy; grandmother Clara Lasser; nephews Luke and Chazz and niece April.
Internment was in Princeton. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Art Bretschneider
Funeral service for Art Bretschneider, 66, Coon Rapids took place Aug. 2 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Wehman officiated.
Bretschneider died July 30, 2006 in Coon Rapids. He was born July 1, 1940 in Minneapolis.
A drapery installer, Bretschneider is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kitty; children Kelley (Brian) Osowski, Tracey (Jason) Herschman, Jodi (Tim) Dischinger; special grandchildren Jake, Sam, Luke, Logan, Trent and a baby to come; sisters Amarylyss Montague, Patty (Harry) Peters, Sharon (Jim) Enright; brother-in-law Jack (Joni) Fehling; special friend, Mr. Lucky and numerous other close friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Lucille.
Internment was at the Epiphany Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Dorothy Carlson
Funeral service for Dorothy M. Carlson, 92, Minneapolis, took place Aug. 4 at the Thurston-Lindberg Chapel, Anoka. Rev. John Swanson and Dr. David Osterlund officiated.
Carlson died Aug. 1, 2006 at Dellwood Health Care Center, St. Paul. She was born in Isanti County to Andrew Brave and Eva Engquist. She is survived by sister Lilian Windall of Florida and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Internment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Carol Ewer
A memorial service for Carol Ewer (nee Meyer), 78, Coon Rapids took place July 25 at the Anoka Seventh Day Adventist Church, Andover.
Ewer died July 21, 2006 and is survived by her husband Eugene; children Joy (George) Lindquist, Gwen (Tom) Myre, Keith and Kent; nine grandchildren; two great grand children; brother Clyde Meyer and sister-in-law Lorraine Meyer.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman, Coon Rapids.
James Fitzpatrick
Funeral service for James Fitzpatrick, 89, Coon Rapids, took place Aug. 2, 2006 at Epiphany Catholic Church. Rev. Dennis Zehren officiated.
The World War II veteran is survived by children Dennis (Mary), Kevin (Jill), Patrick; grandson Daniel; brothers Donald and Thomas; sisters Ellen Stockinger and Lucille Carlberg; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Delphine and brother Robert.
Internment was at the Epiphany Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman, Coon Rapids.
Linda Fritz
A memorial service for Linda Fritz, 58, Blaine, took place at the Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel Aug. 7. Rev. John Bucka officiated.
Fritz died Aug. 3, 2006. She was born June 9, 1948 in Rhinelander, Wis to William and Joyce Boggs. She is survived by her loving husband Lawrence; daughter Jennifer; parents William and Joyce Boggs; sisters Kay (Allen) McAloney and Rita (Terry) Werth; brothers Steve Evers, Perry (Sherry) Boggs and Robert Boggs.
Arrangements were by Kozlak-Radulovich Chapel, Blaine.
Michael Gill
Funeral service for Michael Terrence Gill, 47, East Bethel took place July 31 at Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel. Rev. Earl Simonson officiated.
Gill died July 25, 2006 in an auto accident. He was born Sept. 26, 1958 in St. Paul to Robert Gill and Dolores Peters.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Christina Gill, Nichole Gill (Ben) and Shawna Gill; grandchildren, Jessie, Michael and Tyler; mother, Dolores Gill; brothers, Robert and Ronald (Natalie) Gill; sister, Annette Peters; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda; father, Robert; and son-in-law, William Nordang.
Arrangements were by Kozlak-Radulovich Chapel, Blaine.
Friedel Hammes
Funeral service for Friedel (Frieda) Hammes, 81, Coon Rapids took place Aug. 31 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Wehman officiated.
Hammes died July 26, 2006 in Coon Rapids. She was born Oct. 5, 1924 in Frankfurt, Germany and worked as a care provider much of her life.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bill; daughters Janna (Dan) Hatch, Jane (Curt) Hammes-Johnson; grandchildren Laurie (Anton), Dan Jr. (Marianna), Jesse, Tiarra, Jaden, Jayla; great grand children Luke and Samuel; brother Ludwig; sisters Helga, Marliese and Lilo.
Hammes was preceded in death by an infant son, Peter; daughter Heidi Albrecht and brother Kurt.
Internment was at the Epiphany Cemetery. Arrangements were by Wasburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Kenneth Hedberg Jr.
Funeral service for Kenneth E. Hedberg Jr., 78, Anoka, took place Aug. 10 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel.
Hedberg died Aug. 5, 2006 at Anoka Care Center. He was born March 1, 1928 in Minneapolis to Kenneth Edmond and Clara Mary Hedberg. He married Carol Jean Hanson and worked as a tool and die maker.
He is survived by sons Jay (Carol), Bud (Carol), Tom (Cindy); grandchildren Melissa, Eric, Anna, Megan, Paul, Lucas, Amy and Sara; four great grandchildren; brother John (Mary) Hedberg. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol.
Internment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Chapel, Anoka.
Wayne Humphrey
Funeral service for Wayne Humphrey, 57, Coon Rapids, took place Aug. 1 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Rev. Terrence Hayes, Minneapolis Police Chaplain, officiated.
The retired Minneapolis Police sergeant and Vietnam veteran died unexpected July 26, 2006 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis. He was born Sept. 26, 1948 to Carl and Carolyne Humphrey.
Humphrey is survived by his wife Christine; children Jeffrey (Cheri), April (Frank), Kathleen (Robert), Rebecca (Scott); grandchildren Hannah, Ethan and Audrey; mother Caroline (Albert) Raths; sisters Gail, Bonnie (Jay), Judy, Bev (Mark); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Internment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Ronald Jobes
A grave side memorial service with military honors for Ronald Jobes, 71, Coon Rapids, took place in late July at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Jobes died July 28, 2006 in Coon Rapids. He was born Dec. 6, 1934 to Vernon and Mable Jobes in Osseo. He worked as a public school custodian.
He is survived by sons and daughters Steven (Lori), Donna (Mike) Slattery, Duane; granddaughters Sara and Emily.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman, Coon Rapids.
JoAnn Johnson
Funeral service for JoAnn Johnson, 70, Coon Rapids took place Aug. 8 at the Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Rev. Roger Stensaas officiated.
Johnson died Aug. 2, 2006 in Coon Rapids. She was born June 18, 1936 in Red Wing to Chester and Ruth Fremouw and married Richard Johnson. She was an administrator with the Anoka Hennepin School District 11 for 34 years.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard; daughter Susan Reeve; grandsons Patrick and William; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Chester and Ruth Fremouw and brother Gerald Fremouw.
Internment was at the Cannon Falls Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Rev. Ronald King
Funeral service for Rev. Ronald King, 57, Blaine, took place at the Kozlak-Radulovich Blaine Chapel Aug. 4. Rev. Larry Malarz officiated.
King died Aug. 2, 2006. He was born Feb. 14, 1949 in Fergus Falls to Kenneth and Pansy King and was a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church since Sept. 7, 1982. He brought love and compassion to young and old alike.
He is survived by his wife Honey (Lynn); children Kara (Thomas) McCoy and Troy (Kristina) King; mother Pansy King; sisters Beth Hambleton and Linda (Mike) Conway; brother Gerald Wick and granddaughter Bailey. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth and sister Donna.
Internment was at the Hjrdahl Cemetery in Four Mile Lake. Arrangements were by Kozlak-Radulovich Chapel, Blaine.
