Funeral service for Patricia Mittelstadt, 82, Anoka, took place Sept. 21 at Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home. Rev. Del R. Schnaidt officiated.
Mittelstadt died Sept. 18, 2006 in Coon Rapids. She was born Sept. 27, 1923 in St. Paul to Thomas and Freda (Figge) McNamara and was a retired legal secretary.
She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Barbara (Jack) Johnson and Jeanne Mittelstadt; sister, Virginia Faris; grandchildren, Lori (Dave) Dunbar and Jennifer (Bob) Sunsdahl; great-grandchildren, Heather Fields, Samantha Dunbar and Keshia, Tanner and Nathan Sunsdahl; and nieces and nephews.
Inurnment was private. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.
Dorothy Ohotto
Funeral service for Dorothy A. Ohotto, 76, Coon Rapids, will take place today (Friday, Oct. 6, 2006), 11 a.m. at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Blaine.
She is survived by her son, Terry; grandchildren, Tony, Tim, Travis, Kim, Kari, Tiffany, Brittany, Sofia and Heather; and brothers, sisters, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie; and son, Jeff.
Interment is at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Ralph Rider
Funeral service for Ralph D. Rider, 89, Anoka, took place Sept. 29 at Nowthen Alliance Church. Rev. Maurice Russell officiated.
Rider died Sept. 24, 2006 at Twin Rivers Care Center, Anoka. He was born Feb. 22, 1917 in Waubay, S.D., to Mark L. and Estella E. (Kempter) Rider. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater and a retired truck driver for Skelgas Propane.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie; son, Bryan (Ann Parent) of Zimmerman; daughter, Marilyn (Earl Gerads) Brown of Elk River; granddaughters, Kayla and Hayley Brown; sisters, Jean (Warren) Johnson of Washington and Betty (Lyle) Guderian of South Dakota; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Margaret; sisters, Lucille Rider and Catherine Ruedebusch; and brother, Paul Rider.
Pallbearers were Don Greenberg, Roger Danielson, Ed Stone, Wes Roche, Cliff Olson, Lindahl Gleason, Howard Krause and Gordon Gwinn.
Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Nowthen. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Irene Shepherd
Private service for Irene Marie Shepherd, 90, Anoka, took place Oct. 3. Rev. Abe Cardosa officiated.
Shepherd died Sept. 29, 2006 at Anoka Care Center. She was born Aug. 4, 1916 in Dayton to Henry and Josephine Elise (Payette) Leveque.
She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie Askren and husband Phil; son Timothy Shepherd; grandchildren, Andrea, Leroy and Michaela; and brother, George Leveque and wife Marjorie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow; and sisters, Doris Smith and Eva Spohn.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Shirley Skogman
Funeral service for Shirley A. Skogman, 74, Fridley, formerly of Coon Rapids, took place Sept. 29 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Skogman died Sept. 24, 2006. She was born Sept. 11, 1932.
She is survived by her children, Myron Jr. 'Butch,' Don (Sandy), Sherrie (Gary) Larson, Mary Jane (Terry) Wood; brother, Tom (Barb) Hardie; grandchildren, Jessica, Marti, Heidi, Shelly Karrie, Stacy, Aaron, Eric, Adam, Shawn; and many other friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron; mother, Alta Hardie; father, Harry Hardie; and sisters, Darline, Marian, Harriet and Lois.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
William Tripp
Funeral service for William Lloyd Tripp, 83, Elk River, took place Sept. 22 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Dennis Heiden officiated.
Tripp died Sept. 19, 2006. He was born April 12, 1923 in Minneapolis to Lloyd Dudley and Myrtle S. (Fridholm) Tripp and was retired from the post office.
He is survived by his wife, Viola Tripp; children, Steven (Kristen) Tripp and Janet (Gordon) Hansmeier; grandchildren, Kayla and Laura Tripp and Peter, Paul and Mark Hansmeier; sisters, Phyllis Wilson and Virginia Plummer; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and Lloyd Tripp.
Pallbearers were Steven, Kayla and Laura Tripp, Gordon Hansmeier, Danny Judd and Marvin Borchert.
Interment was at Forest Hills Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.
Byron Westberg
Memorial service for Byron U. Westberg, 85, Mounds View, formerly of Blaine, took place Sept. 30 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Westberg died Sept. 25, 2006. He was born May 29, 1921. He was inducted into the Minneapolis District Bowling Association Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Mark (Ann), Tom, Steve (Sue) and Kris (Bill); five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Ethel Wirz
Funeral service for Ethel Frances Wirz, 93, Coon Rapids, took place Sept. 30 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Paul Treacy officiated.
Wirz died Sept. 23, 2006. She was born March 11, 1913 in Cleveland to John J. and Emma S. (Rapp) Molloy and was a retired teacher.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Carole), Jack (Julie), Harry (Cindy), Judy (Rich) Olson; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence; and brother, John Molloy.
Pallbearers were Christopher, Marc, Nicholas and Patrick Wirz and Ronald and Todd Molloy.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.
Loretta Borman
Funeral service for Loretta M. Borman, 72, Coon Rapids, took place Oct. 9 at Family of Christ Lutheran Church, Ham Lake. Rev. Mark Neumann officiated.
Borman died Oct. 4, 2006 in Illinois. She was born July 28, 1934 in Ely to Toivo and Lylli Laine.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; children, John (Annette) Borman, Pam (Don) Fehringer, Becky (Dan) Lott and Steve (Tammy) Borman; grandchildren, Andy, Mandi, Travis, Lyssa, Matthew, Matthew, Ashley, Maria and Michael; sister, Luella Borman; and brothers, Myron and David Laine.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Chad Hanson
Memorial service for Chad Michael Hanson, 34, Ramsey, formerly of Anoka, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 14), 2 p.m., at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Norman R. Berg will officiate.
Hanson died Oct. 9, 2006 from ALS. He was born May 25, 1972 in Coon Rapids to Charles Dean Hanson and Judith Ann (Carlson) Martineau. He was a machinist.
He is survived by his wife, Carmelle; mother, Judy (Terry) Martineau; father, Chuck Hanson; brothers, Troy Hanson, Chad and Casy Martineau; nieces, Tina and Emily; nephews, Michael Matt and Ethan; parents-in-law, Diane and Brad Meyers; sisters-in-law, Mondai (Mike), April (Toby); brother-in-law, Brad (Doreen); and many other relatives and friends.

Caroline Hoskins
Funeral service for Caroline Prezioso Hoskins, 78, Anoka, will take place today (Friday, Oct. 13), 2:30 p.m., at the United Methodist Church of Anoka. Rev. Leigh Brown will officiate.
Hoskins died Oct. 7, 2006 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Feb. 16, 1928 in Bagnoli, Italy, to Giovanni and Irene (Falco) Prezioso. She worked for Anoka County DAC for over 20 years.
She is survived by her sons, Randy and Eddie Hoskins; granddaughters, Holly, Heather and Desirae; brother, Giovanni Prezioso; sister, Ciro Prezioso; Edwin Hoskins; sister and brother-in-law, Auralee and Art Anderson; and many other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Larry and Phil Hoskins, Mark Rose, Phil Graber, Steve Anderson, Bill Ziegler and Terry Haub.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements are by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
