Pamela K. Walther, 64, Coon Rapids, died Dec. 24, 2003. She was born Oct. 13, 1939 and was a school teacher.

She is survived by her mother, Isabelle Walther; sister, Susan (Dave) Johnson; daughters, Lisa Marie Hughes, Kristi Bolduc, Lisa (Scott) Bartels; son, John W. Bolduc; grandchildren, Morgan Bolduc, Kaitlyn Hughes, Emily and Katherine Bartels; niece, Stephanie Johnson; and nephew, Aaron Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Walther.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Myra Wiley

Myra Alberta Wiley, 98, Coon Rapids, formerly of Mt. Dora, Fla, . died on Thursday, January 1, 2004 at Park River Estates Nursing Home, Coon Rapids.

She was born June 12, 1905 in Westfield to George and Julia Nelson.

She is survived by her daughter, Wanda J. and husband Tell C. Yelle; grandchildren, Thomas W. and wife Roxanne Yelle, Peter A. and wife Jaqueline Yelle, John T. and wife DeLaine Yelle, James C. and wife Debbie Yelle, Paul G. and wife Jennifer Yelle, Daniel L. Wiley and Jeffrey Wiley; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex A. Wiley; son, Rex. W. Wiley; one sister; and one brother.

Interment was private at Pine Forest Cemetery, Mt. Dora, Fla.

Joann Anderson

Funeral services for Joann L. Anderson, 64, Anoka, took place Dec. 30, 2003 at Cross of Hope Lutheran Church, Ramsey. Rev. Fred Hanson officiated.

Anderson died Dec. 25, 2003 in Roseville. She was born March 18, 1939 in Billings, Mont., to Arvid Larsen and Doris Nielsen.

She is survived by her son, Jamie (Sheila); daughter, Kelly (Paul) Koch; grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy, Jessica, Jenna Rose; brothers, Thomas and Donald Larsen; sisters, Debbie Montgomery and Connie Mallory; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; brother, Dale Larsen; mother, Doris Nielsen; father, Arvid Larsen; and aunt, Violet Ellefson.

Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Gearhart.

Sandra Byrne

Funeral services for Sandra Roseann Byrne, 56, Blaine, took place Jan. 14 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel Anoka.Rev. Abe Cardosa officiated.

Byrne died Jan. 10, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. She was born April 28, 1947 in St. Paul to Thomas Van and Ruby Pearl Shappell. She was a bookkeeper at Schuler Shoes and a member of Champlin American Legion Women's Auxiliary.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Jerry Norberg; children, Jim and wife Sara Byrne, Robin Byrne and Bengi Byrne; grandchildren, Jamie and Max; brothers, Tom Shappell, Bill and wife Sue Shappell, Don and wife Dee Shappell; sister, Nancy Jestus; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ken and Peter Shappell; and sisters, Carol Gibson, Nellie Kulzky and Evelyn Lang.

Pallbearers were Kelly Martinson, Mike Jestus, Tim Shappell, Sara Byrne, Sam Walters and Terry Bodell.

Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.

Donald Disch

Funeral services for Donald L. Disch, 69, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 8 at Gearhart Funeral Chapel. Rev. Joel Cycenas officiated.

Disch died Jan. 4, 2004 in Coon Rapids. He was born Sept., 27, 1934 in Minneapolis to Alexander and Mary Disch, and was a route salesman for Tastee Bread.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Roxanne Hunt, Robin (Steve) Fish, Thomas (Beth), Renee (Sherman) Moton, Rochelle (Leonard) Smith; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brother, David (Jeanie).

He was preceded in death by his son, John; and parents, Alexander and Mary Disch.

Pallbearers were Joshua and Andrew Disch, Kyle Hunt, Sean and Kelly Fish, and Sherman Moton.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Paul Gaikowski

Funeral services for Paul D. Gaikowski, 76, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 12 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Thomas Kunnel officiated.

Gaikowski died Jan. 8, 2004 in Brooklyn Center. He was born Dec. 24, 1927 in Webster, S.D. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He worked at Durkee Atwood for 28 years and Kurt Manufacturing for nine years.

He is survived by his sons, Wayne (Laurie), Mike (Diane), Chuck (Christy); daughters, Rita (Bruno) Bekeris and Donna (Dale) Dingman; nine grandchildren; four brothers; and nieces, nephews and other family.

Pallbearers were Wayne, Mike, Chuck and Brandon Gaikowski, Dale and Kyle Dingman and Bruno Bekeris.

Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Elder Going

Funeral services for Elder P. Going, 79, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 11 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Dennis Heiden officiated.

Going died Jan. 8, 2004 at Camilia Rose Care Center, Coon Rapids. He was born Feb. 3, 1924 in Hot Springs, S.D., and was a retired teacher.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Allyn (Lynn), Heidi (Gary) Clayman; daughter-in-law, Jackie Going; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kenneth and David Gutzman, Dennis McCarty, and Adam and Glenn Going.

Interment was at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

James Kalafut

Funeral services for James A. Kalafut, 58, Vadnais Heights, will take place today (Friday, Jan. 16, 2004), 4 p.m., at Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. James Martin will officiate.

Kalafut died in Maplewood. He was born Nov. 14, 1945 in Duluth to Albert and Ina Kalafut, and was employed in trucking transportation.

He is survived by his son, Troy (Anita); stepson, Todd Neumann; stepdaughter, Tami Neumann; granddaughter, Marianna; and brother, Art (JoAnne) Kalafut.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen.

Interment will be private. Arrangements are by Gearhart Funeral Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Diana Kolodjeski

Funeral services for Diana J. Kolodjeski, 64, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 12 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Patrick Kennedy officiated.

Kolodjeski died Jan. 5, 2004 in Margate, Fla. She was born Dec. 22, 1939 in Hawaii. She was retired from Medtronic after 25 years.

She is survived by her husband, Stan; daughter, Cinde (Jim) Olson, Karla (Joe) Starling; sons, Chris and Greg; grandchildren, Nathan, Corrie, Krista, Megan, Ian, Levi, Zach and Kiana; sisters, Norma (Bert) Talon of Newark, Calif., Marie (Richard) Ostrander of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Marchiano Gultgultin; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alfonso; mother, Juanita; brother, Alfonso Jr.; and sister, Eleanor Hammerstrom.

Pallbearers were Nathan, Corrie, Krista, Megan, Ian and Levi Olson and Zach and Kiana Kolodjeski.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Jacqueline Miller

Funeral services for Jacqueline L. Miller, 66, East Bethel, took place Jan. 3 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. John Henderson officiated.

Miller died Dec. 28, 2003. She was born March 29, 1937 in Grand Forks, N.D., and was a secretary.

She is survived by her children, Jeff, Lynn, Jim 'Red' and Lori; nine grandchildren; brother, Bob; and sister, Donna.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harlen 'Red.'

Interment was private at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.

Kevin Osmonson

Funeral services for Kevin Glenn Osmonson, 41, Coon Rapids, took place Jan. 8 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Timothy Johnson officiated.

Osmonson died Jan. 2, 2004 from complications of diabetes. He was born June 20, 1962 in St. Paul to Glenn H. and Janet A. Eire Osmonson, and was employed by Connexus Energy.

He is survived by his daughter, Bryanna; son, Taylor; parents, Janet and Glenn Osmonson of Anoka; brother, Bryan (Ann); niece, Amber; nephew, Erik; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers were Tom Huston, Bryan Osmonson, Bob Jorgensen, Phil Martens, Pete Kabanuk and Mark Kelly.

Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka.
