Lola Balduyck
Funeral services for Lola Balduyck, 71, Coon Rapids, took place May 11 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. James Donald officiated.
Balduyck died May 5, 2004 in Coon Rapids. She was born March 23, 1933 and was a longtime employee of Cricket Photo.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Paulina), Theresa (Vic), Joseph (Ute); grandchildren, Angela, Kristina and Isabella; siblings, Eloise, Charles, Marvin, Peggy, Dennis, Arnold, Sally and Dale; and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and parents, Ray and Leola.
Interment was at Dawn Memorial Park, Bloomington Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Marcy Benner
Funeral services for Marcy Ann Benner, 35, Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Coon Rapids, took place May 3 at The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo. Rev. Delburn Kurtz officiated.
Benner died April 28, 2004 at Summerlin Hospital, Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 21, 1968 to Wayne and Marian Boehner.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Benner; children, Nicole, Nicholas and Ashley Benner; parents, Wayne and Marian Boehner of Hibbing; brother, Daryl (Diane) Boehner of Brooklyn Center; sister, Cindy (James) Hilgedick of Monticello; grandmother, Wilma Caswell of Gatesburg, N.D.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Nan Benner of Brooklyn Park; brother-in-law, Steve (Karina) Benner of Brooklyn Park; sister-in-law, Ann (Todd) Stevens of Lakeville; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Pallbearers were Daryl and Mark Boehner, Jim Gustafson, Steve Benner, Todd Stevens, and John and David Schottenbauer.
Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Buffalo. Arrangements were by The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo.
Arlow Bergstrom
Funeral services for Arlow E. Bergstrom, 75, Dayton, took place May 6 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Dayton. Rev. Peter Richards officiated.
Bergstrom died May 3, 2004 in Coon Rapids. He was born June 8, 1928 in Minneapolis to Elmer Bergstrom and Alice Towle and was a retired heavy equipment operator for Hennepin County.
He is survived by his son, Rick (Edna) of Colorado; daughter, Kathy (Phil) of Dayton; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Andy (Sonja) Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcy; parents, Alice and Elmer; and son-in-law, Ray Bouley.
Interment was at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart.
Lori Doran
Funeral services for Lori D. Doran, 37, Coon Rapids, took place May 13 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids.
Doran died May 7, 2004.
She is survived by her children, Nicole and Karynn; parents, Donald and Diane Sundgaard; brother, Scott (Julie) Sundgaard; special niece and nephew, Brittney and Josh; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Interment was at Milburn Cemetery, Pine City. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Ross Forsyth
Funeral services for Ross A. Forsyth, 59, Andover, took place May 13 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Joel Cycenas officiated.
Forsyth died May 9, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. He was born April 21, 1945 in Albert Lea to Carl E. and Emma A. (Ingum) Forsyth. He was a disabled veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1969. He was an employee of Thermo King and the Veterans Administration at Fort Snelling.
He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe 'Lupe;' children, Lupita Forsyth of Northfield, Sandra and Michael Forsyth of Andover; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Emma Forsyth; and brother, John Forsyth.
Interment will take place in Mexico. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Haakon Jarnes
Memorial service for Haakon I. Jarnes, 89, College Place, Wash., formerly of Anoka, will take place tomorrow (Saturday, May 15), 4 p.m., at the Anoka Seventh-day Adventist Church, 15036 Round Lake Blvd.
Jarnes died April 20, 2004. He was born in Sykkylven, Norway, April 4, 1914 and came to the U.S. in 1927. He served the Anoka Seventh-day Adventist Church as pastor for the 10 years preceding his retirement in 1980, building the current church facility during his pastorate.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Laurie Brown and Carolyn Jean (Jeanie) Cothran; sons, David, Rolf and Gary; sisters, Alice Ellstrom and Laura Torkelson; grandchildren, Kristen Browning, Todd Jarnes, Ryan Jarnes, Jessie Jarnes, Becky Jarnes, Brett Jarnes, Heather Jarnes, Brian Jarnes, Kyle Cothran and Lara Cothran; step-grandchildren, Shawna Bowin, Eric Winn, Jenny Winn, Jeremy Brown and Eric Brown; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hans and Laura Jarnes; brothers, Peter, Norman, Swen and Carl; and sister, Betty Holbrook.
Mary Newell
Funeral services for Mary K. Newell, 79, Oak Grove, took place May 8 at Church of St. Patrick, Oak Grove. Revs. Bill DeZiel and Michael Kennedy officiated, .
Newell died May 1, 2004 in Cambridge. She was born Aug. 12, 1924 in Milwaukee, Wis.
She is survived by her children, Donald Jr., Patti Jochim, Kathleen (Dennis) Nugent, Timothy (Monte); 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Gert Nesser and Terry DeHay; brothers, Bud (Jean) Haag and Joe (Cathy) Haag; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sr.; and sister, Bernie.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
Interment was at St. Patrick's Catholic Church Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Diane Schaum
Funeral services for Diane B. Schaum, 58, Coon Rapids, took place May 4 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Patrick Kennedy officiated.
Schaum died April 29, 2004 in St. Paul. She was born Oct. 17, 1945 to Eugene Moonen and Georginna Schepers and was teacher.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne; parents, Gene and Nan Moonen; siblings, David (Karen) Moonen, Terry (Nancy) Moonen, Tim Moonen and Mary Jo King; in-laws, Mildred Schaum, Lucille O'Brien, Evelyn Creehan, Joan Schaum, Lois and Tom Leibeck, Melvin Schaum, Patricia Schaum and Bill and Sue Schaum; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; and in-laws, Norman Schaum, Jerry Creehan, Don Schaum, Elva Mae Schaum and Eugene Schaum.
Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart.
Joan Duff

Alisa Gerber
Funeral services for Alisa Jordan Gerber, infant, Andover, took place May 18 at Meadow Creek Church. Rev. Mac Stone officiated.
She was born and died May 15, 2004 in Coon Rapids.
She is survived by her parents, Joe and Tirzah Gerber; grandparents, Ruth and Ashley Gragg, Larry and Carol Foster; great-grandmother, Emily Foster; uncle, Jonathan Foster; aunt and uncle, Sue and Dan Hetke; first cousins, Shayne, Dustin and Kyle; and other aunts and uncles, Gary (Pam) Gerber, Bob (Susan) Gerber, Tom Gerber, Jim Gerber, John Gerber, Becky (Marv) Sherva, Bette (Dick) Wolff, Gloria (Nick) Baker, Naomi Anderson and Susan (Bill) Hanninen.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Walter Gerber; great-grandfather, Earl Foster; and great-grandparents, Lawrence and Lucille Oman.

Richard Hubbard
Funeral services for Richard D. Hubbard, 72, Coon Rapids, took place May 14, 2004 at Anoka United Methodist Church.
Hubbard was born Aug. 29, 1931 in Austin to William and Cleone (Domino) Hubbard and was principal at St. Francis High School for 30 years (1962-1992).
He is survived by his special friend and companion, Jean Nelson; sons, Todd (Carol), Tim (Amy) and Trent; daughter, Tiffany Strabala (Russell); and grandchildren, Jonathan, Adelaide, Lydia, Tyler, Tanner, Jill, Zachary and Peter.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
