Glenn Swanson
Funeral services for Glenn R. Swanson (Dick), 83, Anoka, took place May 24, 2004 at Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.
Swanson died in Coon Rapids. He was born Nov. 7, 1920 to Elmer J. Swanson and Alice M. Parker and was a retired clerk for the city of Anoka.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel; son, Gerald and wife Eloise Gardinier; granddaughters, Michele Gardinier and Juli (Joe) Dorsey; and nieces and nephews.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart.
Alvin Nordvold
Funeral services for Alvin O. Nordvold, 93, Zumbrota, will take place today (Friday, June 11), 2 p.m., at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Aspelund. Rev. Martin Horn will officiate.
Nordvold died June 6, 2004 at District One Hospital, Rochester. He was born Aug. 28, 1910 in Zumbrota to Olaf and Josephine (Lunde) Nordvold. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was a retired school teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian; daughters, LeaAnn (James) Barnett of Anoka and Mary Kay (Leslie) Wille of Wanamingo; son, Duane (Cheryl) Nordvold of Cannon Falls; and grandchildren, Julia and Kristin Nordvold, Sarah, Peter, Tim and Stephen Barnett and Michael Wille.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sisters.
Pallbearers will be Julia and Kristin Nordvold, Sarah, Peter, Tim and Stephen Barnett and Michael Wille. Honorary pallbearers will be Orville Nordvold, Marlin Benrud, Walter Ring, Rollo Bredeson and Harris Rude.
Interment will be at United Lutheran Cemetery, Zumbrota. Arrangements are by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Larson Chapel, Zumbrota.
Mary Jo Talbot
Funeral services for Mary Jo Talbot, 76, Coon Rapids, took place June 9 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Michael Van Sloun officiated.
Talbot died June 5, 2004 in Coon Rapids. She was born Jan. 11, 1928 in Anoka to Edward J. Walsh and Josephine Keating and was a retired librarian.
She is survived by her in-laws, Warren (Dorothy) Talbot, Roslyn (Richard) Ducios, Cecil (Judy) Talbot, Shirley (Bob) Youngquist, Betty Talbot; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth.
Arrangements were by Gearhart.
Michiko Williams
Funeral services for Michiko 'Mickey' T. Williams, 75, Blaine, took place June 5 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. William Kirmsse officiated.
Williams died June 1, 2004. She was born Jan. 12, 1929 in Kyoto, Japan.
She is survived by her husband, Willie; children, Peggy (Ron) Hart, Jerry (Sandy) and Terry (Heidi); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Tadao Tanabe; sisters, Mariko Tanabe and Narnie Karasawa; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kazuo and Isamu Tanabe; and sister, Sumie.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Roxanne Williams
Funeral services for Roxanne Morgan Williams, 48, Ramsey, took place June 4 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Rosanne Swanson officiated.
Williams died May 29, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. She was born Feb. 13, 1956 in Roseville, Calif., to Dale Stuart and Carol Lee (Onstad) Morgan.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; sons, Jeffery, Joseph and Jacob; grandchildren, Cody, Zach, Ashley, Anthony and Elise; sisters, Randi Morgan and Renee DeHaven; brothers, Ron, Ric and Rob Morgan; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Carol Morgan; and grandparents, Ted and Helen Lien.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Theodore Yates
Funeral services for Theodore Thomas 'Ted' Yates Jr., 77, Ramsey, took place June 10 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Liane S. Rock officiated.
Yates died June 5, 2004 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, St. Cloud. He was born April 26, 1927 in Minneapolis to Theodore Thomas Sr. and Eva (Feck) Yates. He served for four years in World War II as a paratrooper and firefighter and was a lifetime member of the VFW and the Champlin American Legion. He was a truck driver for 43 years for Super Valu before retiring in 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Lorrie Charles of Ramsey; daughters, Deborah Yates and partner Linda Branstrom of Nimrod, Linda (Dennis) Elliott of Anoka; sons, Theodore Yates III and Gary Yates of Mora; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard and John; sister, Dorothy Roundtree; stepsons, Nick, Tim and Rich Charles of LaCrosse, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Theodore Thomas Yates IV 'Tedder;' parents, Theodore Sr. and Eva; brothers, Peter and Raymond; and sisters, Virginia, Georgia and Diane.
Pallbearers were Linda Branstrom, Jon Blummer, Nick Charles, Robert Webinger and Jason and Jeremy Yates.
Interment was at Mound Cemetery, Brooklyn Park. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Randy Bearl

Bearl died June 5, 2004 at his home. He was born May 16, 1956 in Minneapolis and was a CAD operator for an engineering firm.
He is survived by his sons, Nicholas (Jenni), Nathan and Joshua and their mother, Terri; special friend, Diane Crane; father, Wendell; mother, Donna Bachman; brothers, Gary (Chris) and Danny; sisters, Cindy Posl (Mark) and Carrie Zimmerman (Ron); and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Bearl; grandparents; and aunts and uncles.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Geraldine Johnson
Funeral services for Geraldine M. Johnson, 80, New Hope, took place June 9 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. G. Mark Denyes officiated.
Johnson died June 4, 2004 in Fridley. She was born Jan. 12, 1924 in Duluth to Charles O. Johnson and Alice Kampa and was a retired greenhouse employee.
She is survived by her children, Jean Johnson, Linda (Jim) Anderson, Jim (Sharon) Johnson; grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Monica, Traci, Brian and Tammy; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth.
Interment was at West Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove. Arrangements were by Gearhart.
Ronald Larson
Funeral services for Ronald Lee Larson, 57, Ramsey, took place June 17 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Craig Winquist and Richard Raschke officiated.
Larson died June 13, 2004 in Ramsey. He was born May 19, 1947 in Milaca to Thelford and Bertha Larson and was an engineer for Guidant Corp.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; children, Michelle (Jordan) Blackburn, Brendan (Karen) and Jeremy (Janell); grandchildren, Brooklynn, Spencer and Aubrey; sister, Donna (Jack) Taylor; brother, Denley (Jan) Larson; brother-in-law, Clifford (Altine) Hesebeck; and nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelford and Bertha; first wife, Jane M. Larson; and sister, Marilyn Hesebeck.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Lydia McArdle

She was born and died (still born) June 7, 2004 at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale to Todd William and Robyn Lee (Petron) McArdle.
She is survived by her parents, Todd and Robyn; brothers, Tanner and Garret; grandparents, Rich and Candy Petron, Jim and Jan McArdle; great-grandparents, Eleanor Petron, Ralph and Gladys Tender, Della McArdle; and many other relatives.
Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home. Anoka.
Harold McCall
Funeral services for Harold 'Gene' McCall, 67, Anoka, took place June 9 at Anoka United Methodist Church.
McCall died June 5, 2004. He was a 37-year employee of Federal Cartridge.
