Funeral services for Stanley G. Jensen, 69, Blaine, took place July 23 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka.

Jensen died July 20, 2004.

He is survived by his wife, Judith; children, Jeff (Pat), Sandy (Daniel) Johnson, George (Mary Pat); grandchildren, Amanda, Madeline, Robert, Hannah, Thomas; brother, Mike (Kit); sister, Joanna Jensen; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Leila; and brother, Robert.

Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka.

Helen Karna

Funeral services for Helen Karna, 89, Ham Lake, took place July 19 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Dr. Rev. Randy Taber officiated.

Karna died July 14, 2004. She was born Feb. 20, 1915 in Fort Bragge, Calif.

She is survived by her brother, Jack; adopted son, Leonard (Sally) Laskow; and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, O. J. 'Whitey;' and son, Kurt.

Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.

Wilbert Keith

Funeral services for Wilbert Leroy 'Will' Keith, 78, Coon Rapids, formerly of Champlin, took place July 23 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Philip Larson officiated.

Keith died July 20, 2004 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis. He was born Aug. 15, 1925 in Greenwich, Pa., to Elias and Ressie (Boring) Keith was an accountant at United Power in Elk River.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter, Pam (Tom) Fry; son, Dan Keith, all of Princeton; grandchildren, Jon, Jacob, Jed, Janae and Dylan; three brothers; and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Lori Jean; one brother; and two sisters.

Pallbearers were Brian Kinney, Ken Sandberg, Donald Hardle, John Steffens, Chester Dunbar and Melvin Olson.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Helen Olson

Funeral services for Helen Elizabeth Olson, 99, Anoka, took place July 28 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Norman R. Berg officiated.

Olson died July 23, 2004 at North Ridge Care Center, New Hope. She was born June 14, 1905 in Boone, Iowa, to Ernest and Emma Wheeler and was a retired registered nurse at a state hospital.

She is survived by her daughters, Margaret (Marlin) Reishus of Illinois and Ann (Greg) Bergeron of Andover; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl.

Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Joseph Ponicki

Graveside services for Joseph F. Ponicki, 74, Coon Rapids, took place July 24 at Hillside Cemetery.

Ponicki died July 14, 2004. He was born Dec. 17, 1929 in Minneapolis.

He us survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters Connie (Rick) and Annmarie (Paul); son, Michael (Lynn); and seven grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Sharon Smith

Funeral services for Sharon Ann Smith, 59, Eagan, formerly of Anoka, took place July 26 at River Valley Church, Apple Valley. Rev. Robert Ketterling officiated.

Smith died July 21, 2004 in Minneapolis. She was born Aug. 2, 1944 in Minneapolis.

She is survived by her children, Julie (Darrell) Bartell and their children Daina, Danielle and Drew, Wendy (Chad) Sundberg and her children Grace and Noah, Robin (John) Sylvester and their children Christopher, Karley and Kyle, Susan (Todd) Boyer and their children Nathan, Hollie, April, Gabrielle and Faith; siblings, Tom (Mavis) Garrett, Donalyn (Jerry) Engen, Helen Nelson; and brother-in-law, Jack Greene.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine Greene; and sister-in-law, Bob Nelson.

Pallbearers were Darrell Bartell, Chad Sundberg, John Sylvester and Todd Boyer.

Arrangements were by White Funeral Home, Apple Valley.

Adeline Stenborg

Funeral services for Adeline C. Stenborg, 83, Coon Rapids, took place July 26 at Church of the Epiphany, Coon Rapids. Rev. Dennis Zehren officiated.

Stenborg died July 19, 2004. She was born April 10, 1921 in Platte, S.D.

She is survived by her brothers, Kenneth Overkamp, Donald Overkamp (Joan); special niece Jodi Pownall; other nieces and nephews; and relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Phinny.

Pallbearers were Bob, Gary, Mark, David, Dan and Errol Overkamp. Honorary pallbearer was Corey Overkamp.

Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Diane Sundgaard

Funeral services for Diane M. Sundgaard, 60, Coon Rapids, took place July 28 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. James Donald officiated.

Sundgaard died July 21, 2004. She was born April 20, 1944. She was an employee of Sign Crafters and Washburn-McReavy funeral chapels and a former employee of Barry Blower.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; son, Scott (Julie); grandchildren, Nicole, Karynn, Brittney and Josh; brothers, Dennis (Ramona), Lonnie, Larry and Lowell (Lorrie) Ekstrand; sister, Janice Galbraith; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Doran; and parents, Edgar and Bertha Ekstrand.

Pallbearers were Lonnie, Larry and Lowell Ekstrand, Jigger Cornelius, Dean Stoffel and Bob Belch.

Interment was at Milburn Cemetery, Pine City. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.

Harriette Tyler

Funeral services for Harriette E. Tyler, 59, Duluth, took place July 20 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Rev. Keith Kolzow officiated.

Tyler died July 15, 2004 in Duluth. She was born May 25, 1945 in Minneapolis to Knute and Eleanor Lindmark and was a cook.

She is survived by her husband, Clifford; son, Terry Lindmark; daughters, Pamela Goodwill, Charlene Olson, Rebecca Seffinga, Jackie Kolstad; sisters, Ellamae Hanson, Beverly Anderson and Barbara Bauman; brother, Harry Lindmark; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Fay Goodwill.

Pallbearers were Matthew Davis, Brian and Bobby Seffinga, Daniel Kolstad and Justin and Josh Olson.

Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Curtis Vevea

Funeral services for Curtis Richard Vevea, 70, Anoka, took place July 22 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Mike Van Sloun officiated.

Vevea died July 19, 2004 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis. He was born Aug. 29, 1933 in Anoka to Everette Sylvester and Corinne Gertrude (Stine) Vevea. He spent 30 years in the military and served 16 months in Korea. He was a life member of the Anoka American Legion Post 102, Disabled American Veterans, Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States. He was also a member of the American Legion 40-8 and was elected to the Minnesota Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Hall of Fame. A lifelong member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church, he was a 17-year usher and a communion minister.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; sons, Daniel (Terri), David (Mary) and Kevin (Cheryl); grandchildren, Jason, Caitlin, Meghan and Abigail Vevea; step-grandchildren, Samantha Jo and David Deters; brother, Bernie (Carol); sisters, Pat Chouinard and Marjie (Ed) Thieman; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Corinne; and sister, Catherine.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Patricia Wallace

Funeral services for Patricia Marie Wallace, 72, Coon Rapids, took place July 15 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka. Rev. Norman Berg officiated.

Wallace died July 11, 2004 in Coon Rapids. She was born Jan. 15, 1932 in River Falls, Wis., to William G. Frank and Avis O. Pearson. She worked in school district food service.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne; children, Jeanne (Gary) Clauer, Chuck and Terry Wallace; grandchildren, Angie (Jason) Ploof and Jonathan Wallace; great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Jack Ploof; brothers, Doug (Lucy), Brad (Nancy), Tom (Pat), David (friend Rosie) Frank; sisters, Sharon (Tom) Giddings, Diane (Joe) Hebert, Mary (Chuck) Camp, Viki (Tom) Plant and Debbie Weinhold; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brian; parents, William and Avis Frank; and sister, Bonnie.

Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.
