Erick Iverson

Funeral service for Erick John Iverson, 39, Plymouth, formerly of Coon Rapids, took place Oct. 29 at Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids. Rev. Steve Sampson officiated.

Iverson died Oct. 23, 2004. He was born July 22, 1965 in Coon Rapids to James and Eleanor Iverson and was employed in construction.

He is survived by his father, Jim; brothers, Terry (Mary), Dave (LuAnn); sisters, Vicki (Larry), Sheila, Tyra and Kristie; niece, Rachel; nephews, Andrew and Tony; former wife, Shelly and son Justin; and good friend, Randy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellie; and niece, Sarah.

Interment was private. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Mildred Johnson

Funeral services for Mildred Johnson, 83, Otsego, formerly of Coon Rapids, Blaine and Ramsey, took place Oct. 28 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Sherree Lane officiated.

Johnson died Oct. 25, 2004 at Guardian Angels Care Center, Elk River. She was born Jan. 3, 1921 in Laporte to Fred and Ebba (Ekeblad) Hjelm.

She is survived by her husband Knute; sons, Marlin of Eagan, Richard of Otsego; grandson, Brian, U.S. Navy, and Christopher of Eagan; granddaughter, Tasha of Otsego; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parent, Fred and Ebba Hjelm.

Pallbearers were Tammy and Dennis Berg, Christopher Johnson, David and Lenny Hanson and Neal Anderson.

Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.

Lorraine Randall

Funeral service for Lorraine Francis Randall, 51, Blaine, took place Oct. 29 at St. Phillip's Lutheran Church, Fridley. Rev. Jan Hartzok officiated.

Randall died Oct. 24, 2004 in Robbinsdale. She was born Sept. 25, 1953 in Willmar to Lloyd and Fannie Ornberg and was a nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Grayson; daughter, Sara; brothers, Jim (Linnea), Paul (Kay), Richard (Judy) and Larry (Dianne) Ornberg; and many other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were David Sperling, Douglas and David Spartz, Michael and Peter Ornberg and Jon Anderson.

Interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Willmar. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.

Patricia Reid

Funeral service for Patricia Ann Reid, 63, Bethel, took place Nov., 4 at Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel. Rev. Jose Edayadiyil officiated.

Reid died Nov. 1, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. She was born June 19, 1941 in Minneapolis to Lawrence and Ila Mae Porter. She was a partner in the family business, Gene's Auto Repair.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene of Bethel; son, Gregory (Karla) Reid of Braham; daughter, Debra Ann Reid and Bruce Funk of Maplewood; grandchildren, Bobie, Heather and Glenn; sisters, Mary Ericson of Richfield and Barb Porter of Bloomington; brother, William Porter of Florida; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael.

Pallbearers were Dave Boudreau, Jim Ericson, Bruce Funk, Glenn and Heather Reid and Eric Stromberg.

Interment was at Isanti Union Cemetery. Arrangements were by Strike Funeral Homes.

Selma Roseland

Funeral service for Selma J. Roseland, 91, Ham Lake, took place Oct. 8 at Glen Cary Lutheran Church. Revs. Paul Settergren and Jeffrey Jacobus officiated.

Roseland died Oct. 6, 2004 in Coon Rapids. She was born May 9, 1913 in Bethel to Julius and Sophia Jacobson.

She is survived by her sons, Myron (Joyce) of Florida, Darrel (Anne) of Ham Lake; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert.

Pallbearers were Delwyn, Aaron and Paul Fingal, John Hollihan, Michael Mans and Gary Johnston.

Interment was at Glen Cary Cemetery. Arrangements were by Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, Anoka.

Roger Vadnais

Funeral service for Roger Charles 'Gus' Vadnais, 71, Elk River, formerly of Coon Rapids, took place Oct. 30 at Zion Lutheran Church, Anoka, Anoka. Rev. Timothy G. Johnson officiated.

Vadnais died Oct. 27, 2004 at Mercy Hospital. He was born Jan. 21, 1933 in Duluth to Charles Alfred and Annette (Gunderson) Vadnais and was the owner of Vadnais Insulation.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; children, Wendy (Rick) Thoreson, Steve (Deb), Cindy Vadnais, Kristy (Kevin) Kehs; grandchildren, Nels, Neil and Nate Thoreson, Janie, Martha and Karyn Vadnais, Lucas Maxwell and Marcus Kehs; brothers, Charles (Dorothy), Robert (Janice); sisters, Bonnie (Jim) Christopherson, JoAnne (Jeff) Johnson; and other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers were Nels, Nate, Neil and Rick Thoreson, Kevin Kehs, Larry Tessier and Charles and Robert Vadnais.

Interment was at Oneota Cemetery, Duluth. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Alice Bares

Funeral service for Alice Jean Bares, 77, Columbia Heights, formerly of Anoka, took place Nov. 10 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Mike Van Sloun officiated.

Bares died Nov. 6, 2004 at Unity Hospital. She was born Sept. 24, 1927 in Minneapolis to Raymond Adelbert and Helen Jeanette (Hayes) Pierce. She was a retired bookkeeper in the computer industry.

She is survived by her children, Fred (Cheryl) Bares, Gerry (Linda) Bares, Mona (Lew) Hotchkiss and Margie (Lenny) Koerner; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Pat (Sharon) Pierce Sr. and Jim (Vonny) Pierce Sr.; and sisters, Billie Autio and Mickie (Rich) Simpson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roman; parents, Ray and Helen Pierce; and sister, Helen Rae Jaeger.

Pallbearers were Rich Bares, Tony, Mick, Jennifer and Kelly Scott, Amy and Bert Jones and Mart Wenzel.

Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Donald Dale

Funeral service for Donald Curtis Dale, 81, Anoka, took place Nov. 5 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. David N. Blume officiated.

Dale died Nov. 2, 2004 at Park River Estates Care Center, Coon Rapids. He was born May 1, 1023 in Minneapolis to William Edward and Martha Louise (Anderson) Dale. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at the former Anoka State Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta; son, Peter and wife Jane; granddaughter, Jolene; sister, Gloria Leier and husband Frank; and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Mike Dussl, Tom and Warren Talbot, Bob Johnson, John Huser, Jim Rainbow and Ken Budde.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Elizabeth Glick

Funeral service for Elizabeth Alleen Glick, 96, Hopkins, formerly of Anoka, will take place Saturday, Nov. 20, noon, at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel. Rev. Ruth Opatz will officiate.

Glick died Nov. 3, 2004 at Chapel View Care Center, Hopkins. She was born April 7, 1908 in Clear Creek, Mo., to Alvin and Alta Jane (Sallee) Glick. She worked for the OSS, was the former owner of Akona Chemical Corp and raised international award-winning poodles.

She is survived by her nieces, Carol Dowdell West and husband Jim, Pat Dowdell; great nephews, Phil Bloom, Steve and Brad West; and great niece, Carrie Bloom Olmstead and husband Jeremy and their children Ashley, Corey and Joey.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Alta Mae (Philip) Dowdell; and brothers, Al Glick (Betty) Ward and Henry Glick.

Interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.

Elsie Ives

Funeral service for Elsie M. Ives, 79, Anoka, took place Nov. 4 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. David Blume officiated.

Ives died Oct. 31, 2004 in Coon Rapids. She was born Dec. 1, 1924 in Carroll, Iowa, to Ervin Fields and Adeline Goecke.

She is survived by her husband, Reginald; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Sandra; grandchildren, Nathan, Joshua, Heather (Dan), Dennis; great-grandson, Zachary; brother, Art (Mary) Fields; and sisters, Thelma (Carl) Nickerson, Mary (Florian) Backowski, Bernice (Richard) Szyplinski.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Richard and Raymond Fields.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.
