Funeral service for Manuel V. Hurtado, 56, Blaine, took place Nov. 30, 2004 at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, Mounds View.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; sons, Ryan (Janel), Justin, Patrick; mother, Lucy; sister, Hope; brother, Ron; and many relatives and friends.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
William Johnson
Funeral service for William A. 'Bill' Johnson, 50, Andover, took place Nov. 24 at Church of St. Patrick of Cedar Creek, Oak Grove. Rev. Rick Banker officiated.
Johnson died Nov. 18, 2004 at N.C. Little Hospice, Edina. He was born Nov. 29, 1953 and was a lead mechanical assembler for a manufacturing company.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, Greg (Tammy Poechmann, Mark; mother, Irene; sisters, Judy Anderson (Ron), Barb Schroepfer (Beth), Ruth Fresonke, Sandy Simpson, Cory Johnson (Cher), Reene Jacobson (Guy); brothers-in-law, Jim Herzog, Bill Herzog (Kory), John Herzog (Helen); sisters-in-law, Ann Herzog-Olson (Lance), Julie Goetz (Keith); and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Flor Keillor
Funeral service for Flor Louise Keillor, 88, Coon Rapids, took place Nov. 30 at Trott Brook Gospel Hall, Ramsey.
Keillor died Nov. 23, 2004 in Coon Rapids. She was born Jan. 9, 1916 in Minneapolis to David Edward Allan and Hazel E. Moody. She was a retired media centers employee in Anoka-Hennepin School District 11.
She is survived by her sons, David (Ina), Richard (Marilyn) and Tim (Sue); grandchildren, Bruce, Sue, Lynn, Joey, Patti, Steve and Bob; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and son, Bill.
Interment was at Trott Brook Cemetery, Ramsey. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.
Lillian Nordvold
Funeral service for Lillian Catherine Nordvold, 89, Zumbrota, took place Nov. 30 at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Zumbrota. Rev. Martin Horn officiated.
Nordvold died Nov. 24, 2004, at the Cannon Falls Hospital. She was born Sept. 18, 1915 in Goodridge to John Edwin and Alma (Stephenson) Hanson.
She is survived by daughters, LeaAnn (James) Barnett of Anoka, and Mary Kay (Leslie) Wille of Wanamingo; son, Duane (Cheryl) Nordvold of Cannon Falls; grandchildren, Julia and Kristin Nordvold, Sarah, Peter, Tim and Stephen Barnett, and Michael Wille; and many nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin; brothers, Eddie and Julian Hanson; and sisters, Selma Anderson, Inga Coan and Esther Myklejord.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Julia and Kristin Nordvold, Sarah, Peter, Tim and Stephen Barnett, and Michael Wille. Honorary pallbearers were David Kyllo, Norris Nordvold, Dorothy Miller, Betty Wold, Marge Jeska, Marilyn Danielson, Carolyn Myklejord and Laurie Hanson.
Interment was at United Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were by Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel, Zumbrota.
Alva Scott
Memorial service for Alva Jean Scott, 77, Golden Valley, took place Nov. 26 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Chapel, Anoka. Rev. Liane S. Rock officiated.
Scott died Nov. 22, 2004 at North Memorial Medical Center, Robbinsdale. She was born April 8, 1907 in Anoka to John Elseus and Estella Belle (Green) Opem and worked at Federal Cartridge.
She is survived by her sons, Bruce (Susan) Scott of Golden Valley, Barry (Vickie) Scott of Oshkosh, Wis.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Johnson of Anoka; sister-in-law, Donna Irwin of Coon Rapids; brother-in-law, Allen (Eileen) Scott of Sargent; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale 'Scotty;' and brother, Elder Opem.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Warren Widell
Funeral service for Warren M. Widell, 73, Minneapolis, took place Nov. 29 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Dennis Zehren officiated.
Widell died Nov. 24, 2004 in Minneapolis. He was born Oct. 10, 1931 in St. Paul to Russel and Ester Widell and was a computer programmer.
He is survived by his son, Mike; daughters, Debora Brasch, Bridget Melberg and Babette Scheerer; nine grandchildren; brother, Jerry Widell; and sisters, Marion Melberg and Beverly Pritchard.
He was preceded in death by his son, Paul.
Pallbearers were Mark and Peter Scheerer, Mike Melberg and Paul, Nick and Anthony Brasch. Honorary pallbearers were Dave Widell and Dominick Melberg.
Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Shirley Wyckoff
Funeral service for Shirley V. Wyckoff, 81, New Brighton, took place Nov. 24 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Grant Tanner officiated.
Wyckoff died Nov. 20, 2004 at Farmstead of Andover. She was born April 13, 1923 in Minneapolis.
She is survived by her daughter, Marylee Hutchinson (Gary) of Ham Lake; son, Jim Wyckoff (Kathleen) of Phoenix, Ariz, ; grandchildren, Jill Rick, Amy Peterson and Ryan Wyckoff; and three great-grandchildren.
Interment was at Sunset Memorial Park. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Lawrence Burke
Funeral service for Lawrence Joseph Burke, 96, Elk River, took place Dec. 9 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. David N. Blume officiated.
Burke died Dec. 5, 2004 at Guardian Angels Care Center, Elk River. He was born May 9, 1908 in Longsiding to Louis and Victoria Ann (Beltrand) Burke.
He is survived by his daughters, Carol Slater, Janet Burke, Mary (Jim) Bowers and Betty (Jerry) Fenna; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille (John) Patchen; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; daughter, Connie Jo Burke; sons, Larry and James Burke; grandson, Troy Peterson; parents, Louis and Stella Burke; and sister, Stella Guimont.
Pallbearers were Douglas, Rory, Craig and Todd Emmans, Dennis, Andrew and Keith Burke and Timothy Horvath.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Lillian Danielson
Graveside service for Lillian Edith Danielson, 82, Coon Rapids, took place Dec. 2 at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Rev. Liane S. Rock officiated.
Danielson died Nov. 30, 2004 at Park River Estates Care Center, Coon Rapids. She was born Oct. 15, 1922 in Minneapolis to Emil and Jennie Olson.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruthanne Skelton; stepson, Darrell (Lynda) Danielson; five grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Mildred Zajicek.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Adeline Gardner
Funeral service for Adeline Gardner, 74, Columbia Heights, took place Dec. 4 at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church. Rev. Galen Knutson officiated.
Gardner died Nov. 29, 2004. She was born Dec. 24, 1929 in Henning and was a senior accountant.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Englin (Scot); grandchildren, Shawn and Christopher; seven great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Brian and Cheri and their families; brother, Mel Hill (Sharon); and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; infant daughter; and brother, Robert Anderson.
Pallbearers were Shawn and Christopher Englin, Doug and Gary Salseth, John Mlinarick, Ran Livingston and Dan Littlefield.
Interment was at Hillside Cemetery, Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Elizabeth La Voi
Funeral service for Elizabeth R. La Voi, 91, New Hope, took place Dec. 1 at Church of St. Paul, Ham Lake. Rev. Jon Vander Ploeg officiated.
La Voi died Nov. 27, 2004 in New Hope. She was born April 21, 1913 in Breckenridge to James and Cornelia Reid and was a retired school teacher.
She is survived by her sons, Rene (Marilyn), Rolland (Carol) and Dennis (Laura); daughters, Clarisse (Wally) Dieter, Judy (Gary) Marsyla, Lorraine (Rick) Zobach, Doris La Voi, Maxine (Max) Miller and Denise (Mike) Melin; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Pickering.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and grandson, Walter Dieter Jr.
Pallbearers were her granddaughters Debra, Jeannine, Jodi, Genevieve, Cathy, Sarah, Lisa, Gina, Amy, Katie, Maggie, Beth, Jennifer and Rachel.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
