Bernice Lundmark
Funeral service for Bernice Ruth Moore Lundmark, 88, took place Sept. 15 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Bill Eaves officiated.
Lundmark died Sept. 12, 2004 at Northridge Care Center. She was born Jan. 15, 1916 in Andover, S.D. She was a 50-plus member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the National Federation of the Blind.
She is survived by her sisters, Jean Jagerson and Phyllis Lea (Orville); sister-in-law, Beth Moore; and many nieces and nephews, great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl.
Interment was in Britton, S.D. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Donley McRae
Funeral service for Donley McRae, 89, Fridley, took place Sept. 15 at Sunset Memorial Park, Minneapolis. Rev. Bill Steinke officiated.
McRae died Sept. 12, 2004 in Fridley. He was born Dec. 22, 1914 in Duluth to Donald and Minnie McRae. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and was retired from automotive sales.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Fitzgerald (Colleen) of Denver, Colo., and Don McRae; daughter, Lisa Wasserman (Al); grandchildren, Josh., Rachel, Gretchen, Kayla, Sheli, D.J. and Nora; and sisters, Isabel Tyron (Bill) and Audrey Eaton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; granddaughter, Ginny; brother, Kenneth; and sister, Katherine Berglund.
Pallbearers were Michael Fitzgerald, Don, Josh and Chris McRae, Chris and Marty Miller and Greg Eaton.
Interment was at Sunset Memorial Park. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Alice Peters
Funeral service for Alice Marie Peters, 99, New Brighton, took place Sept. 16 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Brighton. Rev. Bill Murtaugh officiated.
Peters died Sept. 12, 2004 in New Brighton. She was born March 3, 1905 in West Union.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Dolores) Peters; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and brothers, James (Laura) and John Parker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl.
Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.
Alvin Schlichting
Funeral service for Alvin Schlichting, 78, Spring Lake Park, took place Sept. 16 at Church of St. Timothy, Blaine. Rev. Ken O'Pat officiated.
Schlichting died Sept. 10, 2004 in Fridley. He was born July 20, 1926 in Royalton to Joseph and Mary Schlichting and was a molder in the foundry.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; daughters, Alyce Blashill (Tom) and Catherine Shane (Randy); sons, Bruce (Lori) and Joseph; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; sister, Delphine Sinon (Elmo); and many friends.
Pallbearers were Michael and Daniel Cichoski, Kyle Schlichting, Nathan Birkeland, Tom Blashill and Mark Ohlenkamp. Honorary pallbearers were Alyssa Schlichting and Katrina Shane.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Agnes Stewart
Funeral service for Agnes M. Stewart, 77, Coon Rapids, took place Sept. 11 at Church of St. Paul, Rev. Jon Vander Ploeg officiated.
Stewart died Sept. 6, 2004 in Coon Rapids. She was born Sept. 3, 1927 in Oakwood, N.D., to Homer French and Clarinda Campbell and was a retired nurse.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Miller (Bill), Jeanne Balfanz (Steve), Laurie Stubbs (Damon), Gayle Schmid (Kevin) and Patty Kossan (Greg); and 22 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and son, Mark.
Interment was at Epiphany Cemetery, Coon Rapids. Arrangements were by Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home.
John Weingartner
Funeral service for John P. 'Jack' Weingartner, 60, Blaine, took place Sept. 18 at Church of St. Paul, Ham Lake. Rev. Jon Van Ploeg officiated.
Weingartner died Sept. 15, 2004 in Minneapolis. He was born June 20, 1944 in Stevens Point, Wis., to Francis and Eileen Weingartner. He was a freight car inspector for the Soo Line Railroad.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; children, Tina Bauer, Eric Weingartner, Heidi (Brian) Phaneuf, Brigit (Brandon) Voss; grandchildren, Sarah, Gavin, Jaxon and Maxwell; father, Francis Weingartner; sisters, Judi (Rick) Bollinger, Jan Fletcher; twin brother, Jim (Mary) Weingartner; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Weingartner.
Pallbearers were Larry Roth, Nick and G.J. Fletcher, and Aaron and Jeremy Michels.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Gearhart Funeral Home, Coon Rapids.
Joseph Birosh
Funeral service for Joseph Frank Birosh, 57, Champlin, took place Sept. 23 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Deacon Dominic Ehrmantraut officiated.
Birosh died Sept. 20, 2004 at Unity Hospital. He was born Feb. 14, 1947 in Minneapolis to Joseph and Mary Katherine (Galvin) Birosh and was a custodian.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Chris Dvorak; mother, Mary Birosh; sisters, Denise Pierson, Sue (Mike) Laidlaw; brothers, Mike (Sandy) Birosh, Thomas Birosh; mother-in-law, Lorraine Cheney; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Allen (Sandy) Cheney, Gary (Linda) Cheney, Don Cheney, Daryl (Cathy) Cheney; sister-in-law, Lisa (Bernie) Bittner; and other relatives and friends.

Robert Campeau
Funeral service for Robert 'Pierre' Campeau, 67, took place Sept. 27 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Patrick Kennedy officiated.
Campeau died Sept. 22, 2004 at his home. He was born Dec. 21, 1936 in St. Vincent and was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter, Dawn (David) Pritzl, Lisa (Darrell) LaBeau; son, Barry; grandchildren, Corey and Jenae; brother, John; and sisters, Marie, Leona, Benita, Rita and Tess.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother; brothers, Joseph and Francis; and sister, Evelyn.

Richard Chounard
Funeral service for Richard Louis (Porky) Chounard, 77, Anoka, took place Sept. 27 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Anoka. Rev. Mike Van Sloun officiated.
Chounard died Sept. 23, 2004 at Lynwood Health Care Center, Fridley. He was born Nov. 27, 1926 in Cloquet to Ernest Louis and Edna Victoria (Blair) Chounard and was a retired powder carrier at Federal Cartridge.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; sons, Joe (Linda) Chounard, Rick (Sue) Chounard; daughters, Jane (Peter) Schiller, Janet Chounard; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons; sister, Lois (Kenneth) Hostetler; sister-in-law, Dolores Chounard; and niece and nephews.
Pallbearers were Joe, Rick and Jessie Chounard, Peter and Joey Schiller, Brian Bunes and Brett Radde.
Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Anoka. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Giles Connors
Funeral services for Giles Benedict Connors, 88, Menomonie, Wis., formerly of Nowthen, took place Sept. 27 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Rev. Gregory Garmer officiated.
Connors died Sept. 22, 2004 at his home. He was born May 3, 1916 in Shieldsville to David Patrick and Agnes M. (O'Connor) Connors.
He is survived by his daughter, Colleen (Wilbur) Burquest of Eagle Bend; son, Robert (Alice) Connors of Menomonie; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; brother, James (Mae) Connors of Robbinsdale; sister, Viola Sandell of Bloomington; sister-in-law, Agnes Connors of Brooklyn Center; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen; four brothers; one sister; and grandchildren, James and Kathryn Burquest.
Pallbearers were Thomas and Timothy Burquest, Krystal Marso, Teresa and Giles R. Connors and Cheryl Fischer.
Interment was at Lakeview Cemetery, Nowthen. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Irene Cunningham
Funeral service for Irene B. Cunningham, 84, Blaine, took place Sept. 29 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Cunningham died Sept. 25, 2004 at her home. She was born Feb. 14, 1920 in Belcourt, N.D.
She is survived by her children, Art Bakken (Judi), Ron Bakken (Sunny) and Kathy Wolfsteller (Randy); 14 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and brother, George Chabot (Doris).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; and grandson, Jeremy.
