She is survived by her husband, Gene; son, Jeff; daughter, Carrie; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; mother, Bernice; six sisters; and one brother.
She was preceded in death by her father, John; and three brothers.
Interment was at Harvey, N.D. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Kate Burrows
Funeral services for Kate Burrows, 17, Champlin, took place May 25, 2002 at Richfield United Methodist Church. Rev. R. Covwenhoven officiated.
Burrows died May 21. She was born Feb. 1, 1985 and was a student.
She is survived by her mother and father, Denise and Doug; and brother, Mark.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Justin Carr
Funeral services for Justin Lee Carr, 35 weeks gestation, Blaine, took place May 25, 2002 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
He is survived by his mother, Michelle; grandparents, Jackie and Mark Cline; uncle, Mark Jr. and aunt, Andrea; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Defiel; and many other relatives and friends.
Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Elsie Hoglund
Funeral services for Elsie V. Hoglund, 83, St. Francis, took place May 29 at St. Francis United Methodist Church. Rev. Rhodel Jacobson officiated.
Hoglund died May 23, 2002 at Mercy Hospital. She was born March 13, 1919 in Dodge Center to William J. Schuck and Lennie D. Briggs.
She is survived by her children, Johnnie (Pat), Cookie (Les) Solberg, Sandy Harron (Chuck Phillips), Larry (Monica), and Danny; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, LaVonne Ostrander; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Hoglund.
Pallbearers were Cully Solberg, Cliff Fromer, Greg and Brian Hoglund, John and Gary Harron, and Jessie Young. Honorary pallbearers were Jenny and Erik Hoglund.
Interment was at Oakview Cemetery, St. Francis. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Michael Huddleston
Funeral services for Michael Huddleston, 42, Blaine, took place May 18 at Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids. Rev. Jeffrey Dorman officiated.
Huddleston died May 13, 2002. He was born Jan. 27, 1940.
He is survived by his son, Joshua; mother, Lois; sisters, Linda Morris (Gary), Pat Mahoney, Susan Lykke (Douglas), Jane Dirkes (Robert), Sally Huddleston, Mary Beth Olson (Jeff); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Neil.
Interment was private. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel.
Wilma Intihar
Funeral services for Wilma E. Intihar, 91, formerly of Virginia, took place May 23 at Faith Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. James Donald officiated.
Intihar died May 20, 2002 at the Lynwood Health Care Center, Fridley. She was born Sept. 12, 1910 in Eveleth to Jacob and Pauline (Kangas) Joki. She was a retired housekeeper for private homes and businesses.
She is survived by her son, Frank (Judy) Intihar of Coon Rapids; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank.
Pallbearers were her family members.
Interment was at Eveleth Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka.
Marshall Sher
Graveside services for Marshall Sher, 80, Roseville, took place May 21 at Morningside Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Rabbi Esther Adler-Rephan officiated.
Sher died May 18, 2002. He was born Oct. 3, 1921 to Sameul Sher and Ida Cohen and was retired government contractor administrator.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Jane, Richard and Dawn; grandchildren, Tasha, Amanda, Kyle, David, Ciara, Ricky and Katie; step-grandchildren, Shane and Stacy; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Bailey; sisters, Ruth Sperling of Phoenix, Ariz.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers were Craig, Richard, and Kyle Sher, Randy Longseth, Scott Reams and Jeremy Schmitz.
Interment was at Morningside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Gearhart Coon Rapids Funeral Chapel.
Roger Strenge
Funeral services for Roger J. Strenge, Jr. “Sarge,” 49, Crystal, took place May 24 at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home, Anoka. Chaplain Terry Hyes officiated.
Strenge died May 20, 2002 at North Memorial Medical Center. He was born Aug. 1, 1952 in Minneapolis to Roger J. Strenge, Sr. and Lois A. Rule. He was a machinist.
He is survived by his children, Travis and Tara Strenge; grandson, Tyler; mother, Lois Strenge; and sisters, Margaret Belmore and Elaine Strenge.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roger J. Strenge, Sr.
Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were by Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home.
Evelyn Westman
Funeral services for Evelyn Westman, 91, Andover, took place May 18 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Coon Rapids. Rev. Joel Cycenas officiated.
Westman died May 14, 2002. She was born May 20, 1910 in Clear Lake, S.D., and was a retired licensed cosmetologist of 50 years.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Westman; son, Norman Mangan; daughters, Jerelyn Flom, Joanne Houle (Paul), Corinne Esch (Greg); stepsons, David Westman, Dr. Charles Westman, Douglas Westman; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Mangan; and son, Jerome Mangan.
Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
Marlene Winge
Funeral services for Marlene F. Winge, 66, Brooklyn Park, took place May 17, 2002 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Rev. Dale Ehrman officiated.
Winge died May 14, 2002 in Coon Rapids. She was born July 22, 1935 in Minneapolis.
She is survived by her children, Liz Bertelson (Chuck), Lynn Freiborg (Don), Laura Winge and Richard Winge; grandchildren, Megan, Jessica, Jennifer and Mitchell; brother, Charlie Eckstein (Judy); sisters, Karen Riley (Steve) and Diane Eckstein; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; and parents, Al and Alice Mercil.
Interment was at Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope. Arrangements were by Washburn-McReavy Seman Chapel, Coon Rapids.
