Delores 'Dolly' Berkner, 72, of Sleepy Eye, died, Friday, Sept. 17, 1999 at Sleepy Eye.
Services are 10:30 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye,with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 7:30- 9:30 a.m. today at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.
She is survived by her husband, Randall of Sleepy Eye; children, Allan and wife Bonnie of Streamwood, Ill., Renae and husband Neil Bock of El Centro, Calif., Dale and wife Dianne of Willmar, Cindy and husband Charles Sobocinski of Barnesville, Pat and wife Patty of Sleepy Eye, and Lynn of Sleepy Eye; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Gerald and wife Olive of Hutchinson, Marvin and wife Bernice of St. James, Milo "Pete" and wife Rosie of Lake Lillian, Rollie and husband Eddie Jungers of El Centro, Calif., Darlene and husband Tom Haas of Camarillo, Calif.; sisters, Audrey Goldschmidt of Sleepy Eye and Carol Jean and husband Roger Hengel of Sleepy Eye.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald and James; and nephew, Steve Goldschmidt.
She was born March 18, 1927, in Home Township, to Leo and Elizabeth (Wildschultz) Goldschmidt. On Oct. 11, 1950, she married Randall Berkner in Sleepy Eye. She worked as a nurses aide at Sleepy Eye Hospital where she was honored as Employee of the Year in 1988. She participated in volunteer activities until her retirement in 1992. She was active in CCW; COF; Catholic Aid; Christian Mothers; American Legion, VFW, Sleepy Eye Hospital, and Divine Providence auxiliaries, Prairieville Homemakers Extension Club; Sleepy Eye Golf Club; and various church committees.

Karen Grote, 44, of Madelia, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999 in Sac County, Iowa as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Churcn in Lake Crystal.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Cremation will follow the funeral.
She is survived by her husband, Mike; daughters, Brenda Holzarland and husband Paul of New Ulm, Valerie Shafer and husband Travis of Sioux Falls, S.D., Melissa Satre and fiance Caleb Fenske of Makelia; two grandchildren; sisters, Deborah Johnson and husband Dave of Iner Grove Heights, Barbara Reed and husband Jerry of Madison Lake; brothers Mark, Nelson and wife Linda of Willmar and Steven Nelson and wife Cathy of Apple Valley
She was preceded in death by her parents,Merle and Patsy Nelson.
She was born Dec. 31, 1954, in Windom to Merle and Patsy (Zuelke) Nelson. She lived in Jackson, Spencer and Arnold's Park, Iowa as well as Amboy and Good Thunder. She married Mike Grote on Jan. 8, 1996, at Magen's Beach, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. They lived in Madelia where she worked in quality assurance at Tony Downs Foods. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystral and the Women's Support Group for the National Guard Unit of St. James.

Helen Krebs, 82, of Redwood Falls died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999 at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Gloria Del Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls, with burial in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Springfield.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and continues on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.
She is survived by daughters, Dorothy Turbes and husband Arnold of Springfield, Gloria Krebs of Redwood Falls; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Krebs in 1974; son, Larry Krebs, a Vietnam casualty in 1970; grandson, David Turbes; brothers, Bill, Charles, Leonard, James, Joseph and Lester; and sisters, Flossie, Maude, Nellie, Annie, Alice, Hazel, Clowie and Margaret.
Helen Catherine Krebs was born on Nov. 18, 1916, in Mapleton, Iowa, to William and Mary (Wheeler) Jenkins. She moved with her family to rural Springfield and attended country schools. She married Frank Schnobrich, Sr. She later married Edward Krebs in 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1974. She lived in Springfield and moved to Redwood Falls in 1978. She was a member of the Gloria Del Lutheran Church and church circle. She was a Gold Star Mother, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Springfield and a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Redwood Falls.

Lennis 'Lenny' Leslie Graff, 50, of Lamberton died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999 as the result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident near Wanda.
Service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Church of Christ in Lamberton with burial in the Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and continues 7:30-11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He is survived by his mother, Eleanor of Lamberton; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Kim Graff; nephew, Cody Graff, all of Springfield; special friendm Jaclyn Smith of Granite Falls; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie.
He was born Jan. 19, 1949, in Fargo, N.D., to Leslie and Eleanora (Streich) Graff. He grew up in Springfield. He graduated from Springfield High School. He moved to California and worked for the highway department before returning to the Lamberton area where he purchased a farm and worked with horses. He was a recent graduate of auctioneering school.

Judith Ann (Meyer) DeMoulin, 58, of Apple Valley, formerly of Courtland, died Sept. 19, 1999, in Apple Valley.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bloomington Assembly of God Church, 8600 Bloomington Ave. So. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Fort Snelling.
She is survived by her husband Jerry; daughters, Brenda Alreck and husband Craig of Apple Valley, Laura Johnson and husband Michael of Apple Valley; grandchildren, Amanda, Austin, Eric and Nathan; father, Elmer (Sam) Meyer of New Ulm; brother, Steven Meyer of New Ulm.
Memorials are preferred to the Missions.

Viola 'Vi' Lage, 91, of 715 S. German, Ridgeway on German, and formerly of Mankato and Worthington died Monday Sept. 20, 1999 at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial in the City Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today and will continue 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m Thursday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Harvey Lage of New Ulm; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Myrna Lage of New Ulm; grandchildren, Thomas Lage and his wife, Claire of Apple Valley, Roxanne Lilland and her husband, Tenner of Estherville, Iowa, Lisa Meyer and her husband, Richard of New Ulm, James Lage and his wife, Erika of Waconia, and Steven Lage of New Ulm and his fiancee, Kaylyn Shavlik of New Ulm; eight great grandchildren; and sisters, Arlene Meier, and Mervil Lage both of Detroit, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and six sisters.
She was born Oct. 11, 1907, in Park Rapids, Iowa, to Jacob and Ella (Boomgarden) Scherff. She married Harvey Lage on June 19, 1937, in Sibley, Iowa. They lived in Worthington, then moved to East Detroit, Mich., and back to Worthington. In the early 1950s they moved to North Mankato. In June 1999 they moved to New Ulm and lived at Ridgeway On German.

Arnold Radtke, 76, of Springfield, died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at Springfield Medical Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield, with burial in the City Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today and 7:30-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Elna and Carl Hauger of Minneapolis, Evelyn Schultz of Talmoon, Viola Mode of Brooklyn Park, and Lucille and Dick Bloemke of Belmond, Iowa; five nephews and six nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born Nov. 9, 1922, in North Star Township, Brown County, to Herman F. and Laura B. (Schwartz) Radtke. He attended country school and later Springfield High School, where he graduated in 1940. He lived on the family farm until entering St. John Lutheran Home in September of 1992. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was active in 4-H.

Audrey Stanton, 77, of Buffalo Lake, died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999 at Olivia Healthcare Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Buffalo Lake, with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Hughes Funeral Home, Hector, is in charge of arrangements.

Harry J. Schmidt, 97, formerly of Searles and the Hanska Area died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-10:15 a.m. Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Schmidt, a resident of the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm; daughters and sons-in-law, MaryAnn and Melvin Wenninger of Sauk Centre, Rose and Edward Johnson of Baxter; sons and daughters-in-law, James "Jim" and Darlene Schmidt of New Ulm, Jerome "Jerry" and Phyllis Schmidt of Madelia; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Marcella "Sally" Wieland of New Ulm; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo and Patsy Schmidt of New Ulm and Roland and Elaine Schmidt of Rochester.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Ruth in 1943; a son, Daniel in 1974; and two other children in infancy; sisters, Viola Schmidt in infancy, Florence Fleck Streseman and Clara Wiedl; and brothers, Joseph in infancy and Edwin, Raymond, Roy and Elmer Schmidt.
He was born on June 14, 1902 in Cottonwood Township, Brown County, to Joseph and Clara (Neidecker) Schmidt. He married Lucy Hillesheim on May 29, 1928,at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. They farmed in Linden Township, Brown County, for 35 years before retiring and moving to Searles in 1964. He had been a resident of the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm for approximately six years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles.

James 0. Korslund, 97, of Northfield, formerly of New Ulm and Hanska, died Wednesday morning, September 22,1999 at Northfield City Hospital.
Memorial services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Nora Unitarian Universalist Church in Hanska with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is one hour before services at the church. Firle Funeral Home of Hanska is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Selma of Northfield; daughters, Kathy Holden and her husband John of Northfield, Donna Pace and her husband Jon of Byrant, Ark.; five grandchildren and spouses; three great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Kathryn Larson of Walker.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Olga Haugen, Nora Haukvik, Josie Wellmann, Agnes Korslund, infant sister Jessie; infant brother; sisters-in-law Ruth Larson, Gayle Larson, Selma Larson, Estelle Larson, Esther Larson, Alma Olson; brothers-in-law Olaf Haugen, Arthur Haukvik, Elmer Wellmann, Oscar Olson, Louis Larson, George Larson, Carl Larson, Alfred Larson, Oscar Larson, Thorvald Larson.
James Olaf Korslund was born Aug. 22, 1902, to John and Julia (Larson) Korslund in Brown County. He graduated from Sleepy Eye High School and University of Minnesota Agriculture School. He married Selma Larson on Aug. 26, 1931 in the Nora Unitarian Universalist Church parsonage. The couple farmed in Hanska. They moved to New Ulm in 1992 and resided at Realife Apartments. He was a lifelong member of the Nora Unitarian Universalist Church. They moved to Northfield in 1998.

Myrtle V. Hoffman, 89, of Lafayette, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at Good Samaritan Center in Lafayette.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at First Lutheran Church in Lafayette, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today at Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm, and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
She is survived by daughters, Nadean and her husband Leonard Johnson of New Ulm, Jo Ann Stumbo of Apache Junction, Ariz., Helen and her husband Fred Gratz of St. James; son, Conrad "Connie" and his wife Donna Hoffman of Byron; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Amy Larson of Sequim, Wash., Linnea Blasingame of Port Angeles, Wash.; brother, Robert and his wife Alice Lindquist of Winthrop.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Chas B. in 1975; brothers, Levi Lindquist, Edgar Lindquist, Emil Lindquist, Henry Lindquist, Carl Lindquist; sisters, Sadie Nelson, Florence Youngblom, Alice Lindquist, Marcella Bieraugel; one great-granddaughter, Alexis "Lexie" Hoffman; one great-great-granddaughter, Sabrina; one daughter-in-law; and a son-in-law.
She was born Nov. 25, 1909, in Bernadotte Township, to John and Anna (Webster) Lindquist. She attended the Malmberg School in Bernadotte Township. On April 6, 1927, she married Charlie "Chas B." Hoffman in Bernadotte Township. They farmed in Bernadotte Township and Sibley County until 1936, when they moved one mile west of Lafayette. She was active in the First Lutheran Church of Lafayette, serving as treasurer of the ELCW. She was also an active member of the Legion Auxiliary, serving as chaplain. She was a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Center in Lafayette, and was one of the original Gray Ladies. She became a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Lafayette in December 1997.
