Amber Nicole Schnurrer-Deters, six-month-old daughter of Cory Schnurrer and Melissa Deters, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999 at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the babyland section of the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by her parents, Cory Schnurrer and Melissa Deters of New Ulm; brother Dylan Deters of New Ulm; grandparents, John and Michelle Deters of Stillwater, Lynn Ridenour and Kate Deters of Davenport, Iowa, Roger Schnurrer of New Ulm, Darla and Allan Gebhard of New Ulm; great-grandparents, Irene Domeier of New Ulm, Dolores Heisler of Davenport, Iowa; great-great-grandmother, Doris Niebeling of Brownsville,; aunts; uncles; cousins; and family friends.
She was born March 15, 1999 in New Ulm.
Ralph G. Dummer, 70, of Fairfax, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax, with full military rites by the Fairfax Honor Guard.
Burial will be Friday in St. Andrew's Catholic Church Cemetery in Cairo Township, Renville County.
Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel handled arrangements.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and continues one hour before the Mass Thursday at the church. There will be a rosary at 6 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7p.m., today at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax.
He is survived by his wife, Arlette; sons, Gary Dummer and wife Sue of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Steven Dummer and wife Jody of New Ulm , Richard and his Brenda of Hendersonville, Tenn.; daughters, Kris Forst and Gene Wiltscheck of New Ulm, Jean Bode and husband Keith of Fairfax, Joan Domeier and husband Craig of New Ulm, Jennifer Dummer of Redwood Falls; seven grandchildren; brothers Jerry Dummer and wife Ginny of Monroe, La., Stanley Dummer and wife Bev of Shakopee, Donald Dummer and wife Rosemary of New Brighton, Tom Dummer and wife Rita of Bloomington; sisters, Arlene Besemann of Edina, Marge McClintick of Worthington; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffrey Dummer and brother, E. Robert Dummer.
He was born Oct. 25, 1928 in Fairfax to Dr. William and Stella (Walser) Dummer. He attended St. Andrew's Catholic Parochial School and graduated from Fairfax High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Navy from June 20, 1945 until April 16, 1948. He married Arlette Borth on Nov. 12, 1949 at St. Andrew's parish house in Fairfax. They lived in Fairfax. He worked for Hauser Lumber Company from 1950-74. He purchased the business in addition to the Hauser Funeral Home in 1974. He sold the funeral home in 1982. He continued to manage the lumber company until illness forced him into retirement in January 1999. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church where he was an usher, a member of the parish council and member of the cemetery board. He was a member of the Fairfax VFW Post 8459 where he was the current quartermaster. He also was a member and past commander of the Fairfax American Legion Post 205. He was president of the ARC in Renville County. He belonged to Fairfax C&C and Mayflower Country Club.
Esther S. Poehler, 88, of Courtland died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Courtland Evangelical Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4 - 8 p.m. today and 7:30-11 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and continues one before the service Thursday at the church.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Poehler of Courtland; and a brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Angie Wilking of of Waynesville, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theodore Poehler on Oct. 12, 1989; daughter, Jean Poehler on April 11, 1950; and sisters, Rosa Poehler and Tanie Poehler.
She was born on March 10, 1911, in Courtland to Fredrich and Rosa (Berbrich) Wilking. She married Theodore Poehler on Oct. 29, 1929, at Courtland Evangelical Lutheran Church. They lived in Courtland. She was a member of the Courtland Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Allen R. Ericson, 50, of St. Louis Park and formerly of the Winthrop area, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999 at West Wood Health Care Center in St. Louis Park.
Private family memorial services are Thursday at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop. Burial will take place at a later date at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda Heath and her husband David of Montevideo; sisters, Sandra Oglesby of Traveler's Rest, S.C. and Edna Nubah and her husband Richard of Young America.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard LaVern Ericson; sister, Rickie Ann Ericson and his grandparents.
He was born Dec. 27, 1948, in St. Peter to Richard and Wanda (Schauer) Ericson. Due to his disabilities, Allen lived in several care centers during his lifetime. He lived in Jackson, Faribault and Prior Lake before he entered West Wood Health Care Center in St. Louis Park.
Bernice Goor, 73, formerly of the Lake Crystal and Madelia area, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999 at Anoka Good Samaritan Center
Services are 10:30 a..m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church in Lake Crystal with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 9-10:30 a.m. at the church on Thursday. Arrangements by Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia.
She is survived by son, Dwight and wife Verna of Ramsey; daughter, Nancy Gutzmer and special friend Jay King of Anoka; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
She was born March 3, 1926 in St. Peter to George and Anna (Vogel) Eggersdorfer. She grew up in St. Peter and later in Lake Crystal where she graduated from high school in 1944. She married Donald Goor on April 27, 1945, at Lake Crystal. They lived in the Madelia area. They were later divorced. She moved to Jackson in 1980 where she worked as a cook's assistant at the Senior Dining Center until 1995. In January 1996 she became a resident at the Good Samaritan Center in Anoka. She was a former member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Lake Crystal and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Madelia.
Nellie Lundquist, 96, of Madelia and formerly of Lake Park, Iowa, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at Madelia Community Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Madelia United Methodist Church with burial near Calumet, Iowa.
Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Friday at Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia and one hour before services Saturday at the church.
Clara Lindeman, 86, of Stewart, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999 at Glencoe Area Health Center.
Services are 2 p.m Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Hughes Funeral Home in Stewart and continues one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by daughter, Marianna Blum and her husband Don of Grove City; son, Thomas Lindeman and his wife Ruby of Waubun; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers and three sisters.
She was born July 12, 1913 in Collins Township, McLeod County to Henry and Anna (Lindeman)Woller. She grew up in the Stewart area where she attended the round school. She married Clarence H. Lindeman on June 4, 1934 in Stewart. The couple lived on a farm north of Stewart until May 1957 when they moved to Hutchinson until September 1979. While in Hutchinson she worked at Fingerhut and Tonka Toys. She was a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart.
Marian Anderson, 87, of Hector, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at her home in Palmyra Township.
Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Swedlanda Lutheran Church in Palmyra Township. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Memorials preferred in place of flowers to donor's choice.

She was born July 20, 1912, in Palmyra Township, Renville County, o Oscar and Julia (Johnson) Anderson. She attended District 91 rural school. She graduated from Hector High School in 1931. She worked on the family farm with her brothers and sisters. She married Eugene Anderson on April 9, 1943 at the Swedlanda Lutheran Church. They farmed in Palmyra Township. She was an active member of Swedlanda Lutheran Church.
Alvin B. Nelson, 74, of Winthrop, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999 at Hutchinson Community Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Riverside Assembly of God church in Hutchinson with burial in the Winthrop cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop and continues one hour before services at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Donnabell; children, Susette Leuthold and husband Jerry of Winthrop, Candice Pederson of Winthrop, Lance Nelson and his wife Renee of Big Lake, Holly Mogler and husband Jay of Elk River, Jill One of Naperville, Ill., Scott Nelson and his wife Kris of Andover, Garrett Nelson and his wife, Dawn of Brooklyn Park, Kyle Nelson and wife Tammy of Eden Prairie, Shawn Nelson and wife Stephanie of Hutchinson; children by a previous marriage: Gary Nelson and wife Bice of New Berlin, Wis., Robert Nelson and wife Becky of Brooklyn Park, Lynn Lange and husband Jim of Wyo.; 20 grandchildren; seven grandchildren from his previous marriage; two great-grandchildren; and sister Natalie Engberg and husband Ken of Brahm.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born July 21, 1925, in Minneapolis to Alvin and Geraldine (Zack) Nelson. He grew up in Minneapolis. He attended South High School in Minneapolis. He served in the U.S. Navy. He attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. He worked as a journeyman electrician with the local union 343.
He married Donnabell Messner on Feb. 14, 1952. They lived in Crystal Lake, Ill., until 1968 when they moved to Winthrop. The couple resided in Transit Township, Sibley County where he farmed and continued to work as an electrician. He was a member of Riverside Assembly of God Church in Hutchinson.
Roman 'Romie' C. Athmann, 81, of Fairfax, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, in Fairfax.

He is survived by his wife, Irene of Fairfax; sons, David Athmann and wife Susan of Knightstown, Ind., Marvin Athmann and wife Karen of Shakopee, Tom Athmann and wife Bernie of Farmington, and Todd Athmann of Waite Park; six grandchildren; sisters, Billie Altman of Cold Spring, Donna Gieske and husband Jack of Bloomington and Bede Tieman and husband Roy of Melrose; brothers, Eddie Athmann and wife Sally of Stewart, and Les Athmann of New Orleans, La.; and nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, "Porky", Mel, Ottie and Norb; and sisters Christine and Tillie.

He married Irene Wiebold Aug. 4, 1941 at Immaculate Conception Church in New Munich. He entered the U.S. Army Nov. 10, 1943 and was in the South Pacific theater until his honorable discharge on Jan. 19, 1946. The couple resided in Melrose where he was employed at the Melrose Beacon. In 1957 the couple moved to Fairfax where they owned and operated Romie's Cafe until his retirement in 1981. After his retirement, he sold insurance for American Assurance until the late 1980s. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, where he an usher and trustee and belonged to Catholic Aid. He was also a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was a Fairfax City Council member for nine years. He belonged to the Fairfax VFW post 8459 where he was a past commander. He was a member and past commander of the Fairfax American Legion Post 205 and a member of New Ulm DAV. He was also a member of the Fairfax C&C and a charter member and past treasurer of the Fairfax Lions Club. He was also a Scout Master for 25 years.
