Veronica "Ronnie" Deis, 103 of Gaylord Lakeview Home died Thursday, June 10, 1999.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at the St. Michael's Catholic church in Gaylord with burial in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in rural Arlington.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
She is survived by her nephews Jim and his wife Colleen Deis of Gaylord, Karl and his wife Beverly Deis of Mora, Alfred and his wife Carmel Wawra of St. Paul; niece Druscilla and her husband Lloyd Meese of Minnetonka.
She is preceeded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
She was born May 26, 1896 in Gaylord to Michael and Frances (Gaffke) Deis. She graduated from Gaylord High School in 1914 then worked at the Gaylord Mercantile Store until 1935. She was then employed by the Sibley county as Deputy Treasurer from 1935 through 1961. Following her retirement, she did child care for many Gaylord youngsters. She was a member of St. Michael's Caatholic Church and served with the Catholic Christian Women and the Sacrist Sisters.

Caroline Schuch, age 96 of Glencoe, died Thursday, June 10, 1999 at the Glencoe Area Health Center.
Services are Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Stewart with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 9 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service at the church. Arrangements with Hughes Funeral Home.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers Joseph Schuch Jr., Charles Schuch, Henry Schuch, George Schuch in infancy; sisters Marie Grames, Elizabeth Harrington, Anna Arneson, and Emma Koeberl.
She was born July 14, 1902 in Round Grove Township, McLeod Co., to Joseph and Marie (Domesle) Schuch. She grew up in rural Brownton, attending rural school. She lived in the area until she made her home at the Glen Haven Nursing Home in 1958.

Clair W. Anderson, 82, died Friday, June 11, 1999 at his rural farm home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Waverly Lutheran Church, rural Trimont, with burial in Waverly Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday at Kramer Family Funeral Home, Trimont, and Tuesday one hour prior to services at the church.

Grant Coyour, 43, of Bemidji, died Friday, June 11, 1999, at Lake of the Woods County, Minn.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Springfield, with burial in the city cemetery with full military honors.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-11 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield, and will continue one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
A services of remembrance is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake, which is preceded by a gathering of friends and neighbors at 6 p.m.
He is survived by his parents, Howard and Scot Coyour of Springfield; brother, Lee of Willmar; sister Cindee and husband Jim Clausen of Burnsville; special friend Lisa Anderson-Reed and her daughter Danika Reed of Moose Lake; and aunts Claris Delyea of Northwood, Iowa and Sally and husband Don Stewart of New Ulm.
He was preceded in death by his sister Marsha in infancy.
He was born June 13, 1955 in Fairmont to Howard and Scot (Fisher) Coyour. He moved with his family to Springfield in 1963. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1973 and attended Southwest State University in Marshall. He moved to Walnut Grove, where he joined the Redwood County Sheriff's Department in 1977. He moved to Moose Lake in 1988, where he took a position as a conservation officer with the Department of Natural Resources. He served a short time with the DNR Marine unit in Duluth, transferring to Bemidji in 1997. He joined the Army National Guard in 1979, transferred to the Air National Guard in 1984 and was commissioned as captain and as a helicopter pilot in 1985 and currently held the rank of CWO3. He became a full-time pilot with the DNR in 1997 and was a safety officer in the National Guard. He was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Springfield, and a current member of Hope Lutheran Church, Moose Lake.

Vernon Wolter, 83, died Friday, June 11, 1999 at his home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fenske Funeral Chapel, Arlington, with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. at Fenske Funeral Home.
He was survived by his wife Agnes of Brooklyn Park; daughter Vivian Bjorn of Brooklyn Park; grandson Vance Bjorn of Palo Alto, Calif.; sisters, Elsie Fries of Minneapolis and Helen Crote of Redwing; brother-in-law Wilbert Olson of Jordan; and sister-in-law Cora Walter of Arlington.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Albert and Ivan; and sister Doris Olson.
He was born Feb. 12, 1916 in Arlington Township, Sibley County, to Reinhard and Caroline (Koerney) Wolter. He attended Arlington High School. He married Agnes Carlson on June 22, 1940 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He worked for the public transportation system starting with street car and later bus operation. He was awarded for 35 years of public recognition and outstanding service. He retired in 1978. After retiring from Metro Transit, he worked at Albinson's delivering blue prints for 10 years. He also worked for his daughter at a retail coffee store. He was active in his church serving as usher and treasurer.

Linwood Francis 'Frank' Deree, 80 of Sleepy Eye, died Monday, June 14, 1999, in Sleepy Eye.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye with burial in Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7;30-11 a.m Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Military rites will be conducted by Sleepy Eye Honor Guard and Bravo Co. 367th Engineering Battalion of Mankato.
He is survived by wife Constance "Connie" Deree of Sleepy Eye; children and their spouses, Lenny and Linda Deree of Minneapolis, Robert and Joy Deree of Fort Orange, Fla., David Deree of Savage, Cheryl and Manfred Blank of Sleepy Eye, Mike and Janet Deree of Lawton, Okla., Debra and Gary Thoms of Sleepy Eye, Marilyn Deree of Sleepy Eye; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy and Stanley Deree; and sisters, Marjorie and Hazel Deree.
He was preceded in death by six brothers; one grandchild; two brothers-in-law; and a sister-in-law.
He was born Dec. 28, 1918, in South Weymouth, Mass., to Percy and Gladys (Barnes) Deree. He grew up and attended school in South Weymouth. He married Constance Mary Ellis on June 25, 1943 in Rockland, Mass. He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II and the Civilian Conservation Corps. They moved to Sleepy Eye in 1971.

Dwight Eugene Jensen, 69 of Holloway died Sunday June 13, 1999 at his home.
He is survived by his wife Frances; sons and their wives; Bradley of Little Falls, Bruce and wife Sandy of White Bear Lake, Brian and his wife Cindy of New Ulm, Brent and Sharon, Kevin and Elise; 2 daughters; Sheila of Willmar and Julie of Holloway; 6 grandchildren; brother Myron and his wife Phyllis of Benson; sisters Dorothy Johnson of Lamberton, Ardy and her husband Pete Pederson of Storden, and Arlene and her husband Howard Johnson of New Brighton; nieces, nephews and several other relatives.
He is preceeded in death by an infant daughter and a brother, Howard.
Dwight Eugene Jensen was born Sept. 28, 1929 in Amo Township, Cottonwood County to Peter S. and Agnes L. (Thompson) Jensen. The familiy moved to the present family farm east of Holloway in 1948. He farmed with his father until 1953 when he entered the U.S. Army, serving for two years. He returned to Holloway in 1955. On July 5, 1958 he was married to Frances Johnson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson. Dwight farmed east of Holloway until 1990 when he began working for Western consolidated Cooperative until the time of his death.

Lauren Nicole Schaper, infant daughter of Blake and Patricia Schaper, of 1448 Hilltop, New Ulm was stillborn Sunday, June 13, 1999 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial in the City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon until time of service Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
She is survived by her parents, Blake and Patricia (Hoyer) Schaper of New Ulm; grandparents, Margaret Hoyer of New Ulm and Dorothy and Herb Schaper of New Ulm; great-grandmother Amalia Neisen, a resident of the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye; stepgrandfather Walter Franke of State Center, Iowa; aunts and uncles, Pam Schneider of Cottage Grove, Blair Schaper of New Berlin, Wis., and Brad and Laura Schaper of La Crosse, Wis.; and cousins Jason, Matthew, and Aaron.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Gerald Hoyer and by other great grandparents.

DeLoris Berberich, 81, of Minnetonka, formerly of Springfield, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at North Memorial Hospice Unit, Robbinsdale. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield, with burial in the Springfield City Cemetery.
Visitation is 9:30-11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Sturm Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
She is survived by husband Norbert Berberich of Minnetonka; children Karen and husband Clarence Kotte of Germantown, Tenn., Bruce and wife Leta Berberich of Tucson, Ariz., Brian and wife Sharon Berberich of Plymouth; grandchildren, Kristopher Kotte, Kimberly Kotte, Paula Berberich, Chad Berberich and Jonas Berberich; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Lorraine Anderson.
She was born May 30, 1918 in Sanborn to Oscar and Lydia (Dietz) Isaackson. She grew up in the Revere area and graduated from Lamberton High School. On July 9, 1937 she married Norbert J. Berberich in Springfield. The couple made their home in Springfield where she worked in a beauty shop. They moved from Springfield in the 1940s and over the years lived in Moorhead; Vermillion, S.D.; New Prague; Alexandria; Prescott Valley, Ariz.; Montgomery, and most recently Minnetonka. As well as being a beautician, she and her husband owned Ben Franklin Stores in Vermillion and New Prague. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church ELCA in Prescott Valley.

Grace Elizabeth Roering, was born stillborn to Jason and Emily Roering of North Mankato on Monday, June 14, 1999 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
There will be a private family service at catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.
Arrangements are handled by the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
She is survived by her parents, Jason and Emily (nee Fischer) Roering of North Mankato; grandparents, Lois and Luverne Fischer of Sleepy Eye, Delores and Gerald Roering of St. Cloud; great-grandparents, Alvin and Germaine Beaudry of Albertville, Irene Roering of St. Cloud, and Veronica Forstner of New Ulm; aunts and uncles, Holly Roering of St. Cloud, Mary and Ken Bruss of Lenexa, Kansas, Ann and Rick Reckow of St. James, Paul and Rae Fischer of Redwood Falls, Peter and Julie Fischer of Stewartville, Joe Fischer of New Ulm, John and Rose Fischer of New Ulm, Karl and Nancy Fischer of Hutchinson, Lucy Fischer of Elk River; and 13 cousins.

Rose E. Sorensen, 92, of Madelia died Wednesday June 16, 1999 at Madelia Community Hospital.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at e Madelia United Methodist Church . Following cremation, burial will be in Bruce Cemetery in Bruce, Wis.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia.
She is survived by daughter Rosalie and her husband Kent Tatro of Mound; seven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
She was born July 28, 1906, in Bruce, Wisconsin to Edgar and Frances (Lockwood) Leach. She grew up mainly in Bruce where she graduated from high school. She then attended business school in Ladysmith, WI. She married John Sorensen in 1933. They later divorced. She worked for a district attorney in Ladysmith, Wis. In 1948 , she purchased the Bruce Agency, a real estate and insurance agency, and operated it until retiring in 1966. In 1980 she moved to Madelia. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bruce.

Ruth M. Gross, 75, of St. Paul, died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, in St. Paul.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at St. James Catholic Church in St. James with burial in Calvary Cemetery in St. James.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-1-:30 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. and a Christian Mothers rosary at 4 p.m., at the funeral home today.
She is survived by brother, Joseph and wife Mae Gross of Virginia; sisters, Clare Gross of St. James, Irene and husband Clinton Johnson of El Paso, Texas, Helen Hasher of Phoenix, Ariz., Barbara and husband Berton Sherbarth of Bloomington, Theresa and husband Richard Dubovich of Anoka; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donald; and brother-in-law, Arthur Hasher.
She was born Nov. 12, 1923, in St. James to Joseph and Mary (Olson) Gross. She was raised in Rosendale Township, Watonwan County. She graduated from St. James High School in 1941. She completed her education at the University of Minnesota, School of Journalism. She was a secretary for over 45 years. She worked during World War II in Washington D.C. as secretary to a Naval commander and during the Korean War as secretary to the chief engineer at the Twin City Army Ammunition Plant in New Brighton. Later, she was secretary for Henry Gallagher, former Minnesota Supreme Court Justice an Frank Gallagher, former Associate Justice. She worked 33 working years for the State of Minnesota, including 16 years for the Department of Human Services in Owatonna, working with mentally handicapped children, and 17 years for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, where she was board secretary. She retired in May 1987, having served under the administration of eight governors. During retirement, she did volunteer work for several St. Paul Health Care Centers. In 1961, she was named Secretary of the Year for the State of Minnesota and was awarded a plaque by Gov. Elmer L. Anderson. In 1983 Gov. Wendell R. Anderson awarded her with a certificate as official recognition and appreciation for a suggestion she made that improved state government. Ruth was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Roseville. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary, Ramsey Senior Volunteer Program, Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, Minnesota Retired State Employees Association and the Minnesota Association for Retarded Children.
