Ada G. Roloff, 89, of Madelia, died Friday, October 1, 1999, at Luther Memorial Home, Madelia.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Linden Lutheran Cemetery, rural Madelia.
Visitation is 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday at Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia.
She is survived by nieces; nephews; and god-daughter Gayle Hoeft of Madelia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Cora and Guida Green; and foster brother Claire Halvorsen.
She was born May 19, 1910 in Greenbush. She was raised in Linden Township by her aunt and uncle Emma and Alfred Halvorsen and attended rural District 20 school and graduated from Madelia High School in 1929. In 1932, she graduated as a nurse from Winona General Hospital. She married Walter J. Roloff on Nov. 19, 1934 in Winona. They moved to Los Angeles in 1942 and she lived there until 1996, when she returned to Madelia and the Luther Memorial Home. She was a past president of the Social Order of Beauceant No. 39 in Long Beach, Calif., an honorary member of White Shrine No. 113 and Order of the Eastern Star No. 560 in Yucaipa, Calif.

Delrose Welter, 80, of Morgan, died Friday, October 1, 1999 at Sleepy Eye Hospital.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Morgan, with burial at the church cemetery. A parish rosary will be be 7:30 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, Morgan.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Nelson Funeral Home, and will continue 8:30-10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Harris A. Westad, 80, of Parkers Prairie, died Friday, October 1, 1999 at St. Williams Living Center, Parkers Prairie.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Parkers Prairie, with burial in Swedish Lutheran Cemetery, Parkers Prairie Township.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday at Markham Funeral Home, Parkers Prairie.
He is survived by his wife Margareth; daughter Joyce and husband Richard Halverson of New Ulm; son Luther and wife Barb of Vining; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Phoebe, Vera and Loretta; and brothers, Melvin, Elmer, Kermit, Rueben, LeRoy, Russell and Lawrence.
He was born Oct. 5, 1918 in Elmo Township, Otter Tail County, to Palmer and Christine (Bradley) Westad, where he attended country school. After his schooling he farmed the family family. He married Margareth Larson on June 25, 1949 in Parkers Prairie. He continued to farm the family farm until 1988, when they moved to town. He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Parkers Prairie.

Harlan Roepke, 65, of Gaylord, died Thursday, September 20, 1999, at Glencoe Area Health Care Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gaylord, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-8:30 Monday at the Fenske Family Funeral Home, Gaylord, and one hour prior to services at the church.
He is survived by his wife Marlys; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Lori of Stewart, Richard and Tammy of Arlington, and Ronald and friend Diane Meyer of Burnsville; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Virgene of Stewart; grandchildren, Stacy and Matthew; step-grandchild Casey; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born Sept. 9, 1934 at Round Grove Township, Fernando, to Martin and Marie Tabbert Roepke. He attended eight years of rural country school and two years of high school at Brownton.He married Marlys Panning on March 26, 1960 in Green Isle. After school, he worked a variety of jobs, including Wahrnke Hardware in Gaylord, milk delivery for Marigold, Glencoe Manufacturing, a distributor of Shaklee, Swenson T.V. and Soft Soap. He retired in January, 1999.

Laura Kuck, 98, of Belview, died Saturday, Oct. 2., 1999 at Parkview Home, Belview.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Belview, with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the church, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church Tuesday.
Kulow Funeral Service, Echo, is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by daughters, Marjorie and husband Franklin Anderson of Belview, Doris Hoppenrath of Belview, Audrey and husband Richard Gimmestad of Stillwater, Darlene and husband William Rengstorf of Woodbury, and Barbara and husband Harold Olson of Spicer; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Dammann of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; son-in-law, Franz Hoppenrath; one great-granddaughter; seven brothers; and five sisters.
She was born April 20, 1901, in Sanborn to Edward and Augusta (Wendt) Radtke. She attended school in Sanborn. She married Fred William Kuck on Sept. 6, 1922, in Redwood Falls. They farmed many years near Delhi. The couple retired from farming and moved into Belview in 1961. They were members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls, until moving to Belview, when they joined Grace Lutheran Church. She was an honorary member of the Grace Lutheran Church Women. Her husband died in 1968. In January 1998 when she became a resident of Parkview Home.

Delrose Welter, 80, of Morgan, died Friday, Oct. 1, 1999 at Sleepy Eye Hospital.
Services are 11 a.m. today at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Morgan, with burial at the church cemetery.
Visitation is 8:30-10 a.m. Monday at the Nelson Funeral Home, Morgan.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin; son, Rex of Morgan; grandchildren, Scott, Joy and Cory, all of Morgan; and sister, Helen Berg of Wabasso.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leo and Sylvester Backer; and sister, Annie.
She was born Dec. 14, 1918, in Clements, to Gustav and Clara (Prokosch) Backer. She attended school in Clements and graduated from Wabasso High School in 1937. She attended one year of business college in Springfield. She married Melvin Welter on July 25, 1942. The couple moved to Ogden, Utah, where they both worked in defense. In June 1944, they returned to Morgan, where they founded Welter Woodworks. After selling the business is 1966, they worked at Morgan Industries. She was a Boy Scout den mother for four years and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and CCW of Morgan.

Darold O. (Pedro) Pederson, 76, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Jacobson Funeral Home in Walnut Grove and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
He is survived by his brother, Gordon Pederson of Walnut Grove; sisters, Virene Baack of Tracy and Bernice Wornson of Mankato, and seven nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers,Lester and Myron.
He was born Feb. 11, 1923, on the family farm to Iver and Lena (Johnson) Pederson. He attended Walnut Grove School where he graduated in 1941. He farmed with his father and brothers on the home place until he entered the United States Army during World War II. He served in France. He returned to Walnut Grove after the war and continued to farm with his brothers until ill health forced his to rent out the farm. He was a member of the Walnut Grove American Legion Post and St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Ann Township, Cottonwood County.

Regina Vonderharr, 88, of Madison, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999 at the Madison Lutheran Home.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church of Madison.
Visitation will be this afternoon and evening with an evening prayer service at Zahrbock Funeral Home in Madison
She is survived by her sons, Bernard and wife Tress Vonderharr of Madison, Ronald and wife Diane Vonderharr of New Ulm, LeRoy and wife Bernie Vonderharr of Effie, Eugene and wife Sheila Vonderharr of Bakersfield, Calif., Fred Vonderharr of Madison; daughters, Sister Regina Vonderharr of St. Paul, Marlys and husband Dennis Schumacher of Springfield, Alverna and husband Louis Dahlheimer of Dayton and Lois Holmboe of Excelsior; 28 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred M. (Fritz); infant son, Kenneth; and brothers, George, John, Herbert, William, Peter, Ernest, Henry and Lawrence Tasto.
She was born April 28, 1911 in rural Madison to Henry and Anna (Hammes) Tasto. She attended rural school and St. Michael's Catholic School. She married Fred M. Vonderharr on Feb. 8, 1933. They farmed in the Madison area for 37 years, retiring to Madison in 1969. She worked at the Madison Lutheran Home for 20 years. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Ladies' Aid, Catholic Order of Foresters, Catholic Aid and the Madison V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Ethel Anderson, 90, of Franklin died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at the Franklin Healthcare Center.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Swendlanda Lutheran Church in Palmyra Township, rural Hector.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector, and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Martha Penk, 86, of Stewart died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at Glencoe Area Health Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hughes Funeral Home in Stewart, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials are preferred to the Billy Graham Crusade.

Jerome J. Zschetzsche, 74, of Sleepy Eye died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999 in Sleepy Eye.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Japanese Martyrs in Leavenworth with burial in the church cemetery with full military honors.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and from 7:30 a.m.-10;30 a.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. There will be a Catholic Aid rosary at 4 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta; children, Rosann Zschetzsche of Sauk Centre; Michelle and husband David White of O'Fallon, Mo., Gerri Lynn and husband Dave Windmeier of Corcoran, Michael Zschetzsche of Sleepy Eye; grandson, Trevor White; sisters, Gertrude and husband Sylvester Huiras of Columbia, Mo., Margaret and husband Stanley Sobocinski of Sleepy Eye, Helen Fiero of Ildsmar, Fla., and Lucille Mangen of Minnetonka; sisters-in-law, Mary Zschetzsche of Sleepy Eye and Florine Lang of Mesa, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Edwin and Norbert and his wife Bernice; brothers-in-law, Vic Mangen, Jack Fiero and Matt Lang.
He was born May 23, 1925, in Leavenworth Township, Brown County, to Art and Virginia (Van Kinder) Zschetzsche. While helping on the family farm, he attended the Quail Trap Country School and St. Mary's High School in Sleepy Eye, graduating in 1943. He served in the U.S. Navy from January 1945 through August 1946. After his discharge, he farmed with his brothers Edwin and Norbert. He married Loretta Lang on May 28, 1960, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in St. Paul. He retired from farming in 1990. He was an active member in the Brown County National Farmers Organization having served as a president. He operated the Sleepy Eye/LaSalle NFO Collection point. He was also a member of the Church of the Japanese Martyrs in Leavenworth, Catholic Aid Association and Sleepy Eye VFW.
