Harold G. Blaesing, 86, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord with a 1:15 p.m. burial in St. John's Cemetery in Arlington Township, Sibley County.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements were made with Fenske Funeral Home of Arlington.
He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Blaesing of Waconia; sister-in-law, Norine Moritz Blaesing of Madison; nephew, Curtis Blaesing of St. Cloud; two nieces and four great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alvina in 1974; brothers, Raymond, Carl Jr., and Arnold Blaesing; and sister, Eleanore Blaesing.
He was born on July 21, 1913, in Henderson to Carl and Bertha (Seltz) Blaesing. He attended St. John Evangelical Lutheran Parochial School and two years of country school. He served in the U.S. Army from May 9, 1942 to Nov. 24, 1944 with a rank of Private 1st Class. He married Alvina Borth on Jan. 20, 1962, at Immanuel Lutheran parsonage in Gaylord. He farmed on the family farm until September of 1981 when he moved to Arlington. He became a resident of Arlington Good Samaritan Center in July 1998.

Orie Lund, 86, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Renville County Hospital in Olivia.
Services are 2 p.m. today at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hector with burial in the Hector City Cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Arrangements were handled by Hughes Funeral Homes, Hector.
He is survived by his wife Alice Lund of Hector; children and their spouses, Marcia and Duane Murphey of Pierre, S.D., David and Deborah Lund of Duluth, Ga.; four grandchildren; many nieces, nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and eight sisters.
He was born June 2, 1913, at his parents' farm in Palmyra Township, Renville County, to Olaus and Marie (Halvorson) Lund. He grew up in Palmyra Township. On April 30, 1945, he married Alice Helm at the First Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. He drove bus for Northland Greyhound Lines of Minneapolis. He moved to Franklin and then to Hector in 1954. He drilled water wells with his brother Phillip, and after Phillip's death, he continued in the drilling business. He did custom combining going south in May and working his way north to Canada covering nine states. He retired in 1975. He was a member of the Willmar Car Club. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hector.

Loretta Moldan, 85, of Gibbon died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Home.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in Gibbon.
Visitation will be 8-11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon. There will be a combined rosary by St. Willibrord's CCW and St. Willibrord's Catholic Aid Association at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon is in charge of the arrangements.

Loretta L. Moldan, 85, of Gibbon, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2000, at Winthrop Good Samaritan Home.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in Gibbon.
Visitation is 8-11 a.m. today at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon. There will be a combined rosary by the St. Willibrord's CCW and the St. Willibrord's Catholic Aid Association at 10 a.m. today at the church.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Bernadette and James Berger of Gibbon, Theresa and Randy Antone of Lakeside, Ariz.; sons, James Moldan of Minneapolis, Francis Moldan of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Angie Berger, Mark Berger and his fiancee, Kathleen Kutka, Tiffany Antone and Trevor Antone; sister, Florence Sellner of Sleepy Eye; and sister-in-law, Louisa Mathiowetz of Sleepy Eye.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John F. Moldan on March 27, 1995.
She was born on March 19, 1914, in Severance Township, Sibley County, to Henry and Barbara (Liebl) Huhn. She graduated from Cathedral High School in New Ulm and received her teacher's degree at Mankato Teachers College in Mankato. She taught in Moltke Township, Sibley County, serving District 62. She married John F. Moldan on June 7, 1939, at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon. They farmed in Severance Township, Sibley County, until the 1960s. They retired from farming in 1976 and moved into Gibbon. In 1992, she received the Bishop's Medal of Service from the Diocese of New Ulm for 38 years as a teacher in the Parish Religious Education Program at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon and was a member of the St. Willibrord's Catholic Aid Association and the Council of Catholic Women.

Mary Roberts, 72, of Sleepy Eye, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at New Ulm Medical Center.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye, with burial in Home Cemetery, Veterans Section, Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
There will be a parish prayer service at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Myrtle (Halverson) Dudler, 69, of Denver, Colo., died Dec. 29, 1999, of lymphoma cancer.
The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, 2255 South Oneida Street, Denver, CO 80224.
A memorial service was held in Denver on Jan. 1, Another memorial service will be held in Brighton Township, on Saturday June 24 at 11 a. m.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Dudler of Denver; son, Andy Dudler of Iowa City, Iowa; daughter, Sally Harper of Lancaster, Wis.; grandchildren, Matthew and Erin Harper; brother, Robert Halverson of Brighton Township; sister, Doris Halverson of New Ulm; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was born on Aug. 11, 1930, to Harris and Florence (Hasse) Halverson of Brighton Township, Nicollet County. On Sept. 2, 1956, she married Randolph Max Dudler of New York at the Brighton Methodist Church. She was an active member of Washington Park United Methodist Church of Denver and other church groups. She worked at the Rocky Mountain United Methodist Church headquarters and at the American Cancer Society in Denver for the past 12 years.

Florian J. Helget, 88, of Springfield died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday with a 7 p.m. parish prayer service, and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Chapel. A men's rosary will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Leona of Springfield; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Sally Helget of Springfield, Kevin and Sue Helget of Franklin; daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Ralph Schley of Kent, Wash., Betty and Gerald Kieper of Springfield, Joanne and Richard Groebner of Sleepy Eye; 22 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter; grandson, Paul; brothers, Joseph, Edward, Wensel, John, Clement, Leonard, Arthur; and sisters, Amelia Kral, Carla Helget.
He was born Aug. 14, 1911, in Stark Township, Brown County, to Joseph and Margaret (Neidecker) Helget. He married Leona Rothmeier on June 1, 1938, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. They farmed in Burnstown Township until 1959 when they moved to Springfield. He worked at Hiers Feedmill and the Acolite plant until retiring. He was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, and the St. Jon's Society in Sleepy Eye.

Herb Theissen, 97, of Lakefield, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at Jackson Medical Center.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Hansen Funeral Home, Lakefield, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m.
Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. A memorial mass will be scheduled at a later date.
A memorial fund has been established.

Richard Ullery, 79, of Windom, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at his winter home in Mesa, Ariz.
Memorial mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Windom, with burial in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Iowa.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at Anderson-Schmidt Funeral Home, Windom.
He is survived by his wife Margaret; sons, Charles and wife Mary of Rosemount, John of Minneapolis, and Mark and wife Sue of New Ulm; daughter, Kate Fisk and husband Mike of Fort Smith, Ark.; brothers, Don and wife Martha of Tucson, Ariz. and Jack and wife Joan of Lafayette, Calif.; sister Dorothy White of Faribault; six grandsons; three granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.
He was born June 2, 1920, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Oscar and Elsie Ullery. He grew up in Wakonda, S.D. and Marshall. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1938. He served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1946, achieving the rank of Lt. Commander. He served as a fighter pilot and later as a flight instructor. He attended college at the universities of South Dakota and Kansas, and was a graduate of the Illinois School of Optometry. He practiced optometry in Slayton for nearly 40 years. He married Jane Dobler on June 1, 1948. She died in 1983. On Nov. 3, 1991, he married Margaret Neuschwander of Windom. He was a charter member of Slayton Kiwanis Club. He was a member of the American Legion and St. Francis Xavier Church, Windom.

Mary Roberts, 72, of Sleepy Eye, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, in New Ulm.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye, with burial in the veterans section of Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. There will be a parish prayer service at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Merrill "Mickey" of Sleepy Eye; son, Bill and wife Brenda of Sleepy Eye; daughter, Sharon Henrichs and husband James of Sleepy Eye; daughter-in-law Sharon Roberts of New Ulm; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Emma Konz and husband Eugene of New Ulm, and Angie Tauer and husband Ervin of New Ulm; and brothers, Wally Eckstein of Amarillo, Texas and George and Jo Ann Eckstein of Sleepy Eye.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard; daughter, Connie; three sisters; and five brothers.
She was born March 4, 1927, in Albin Township to Joseph and Emma (Neidecker) Eckstein. She attended country school and St. Mary's High School. She worked at Stork's in New Ulm. She married Merrill "Mickey" Roberts on May 31, 1947, in Aberdeen, S.D. The couple settled in Sleepy Eye. She worked at Del Monte and Pietrus Foods. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church

Reynold Forseth, 72, of LaSalle, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, at his home.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Friday at LaSalle Lutheran Church, with burial Monday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home, St. James, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church Friday.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; daughters, Patricia Thom of Nicollet, Kathleen and husband Steve Reinsvold of Rochester, Colleen Forseth of Roseville, and Julie Johnson of Blaine; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; mother, Ingeline of St. James; sister, Donna and husband Willie Williams of Denison, Texas; brother, Don and wife Nancy of Golden Valley; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandson, Eric Reinsvold; and granddaughter, Dana Johnson.
He was born April 17, 1927, in Madelia, to Edward and Ingeline (Nelson) Forseth. He attended country school District 43 near Godahl and St. James High School. He married Delores Menssen on June 11, 1950, in Butterfield. He worked with his father at the Standard station in Godahl and was a jobber for Standard Oil, LaSalle. He purchased the business, renaming it Forseth Oil Company. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Seaman First Class. He attended Mankato Vocational Technical School, where he studied automotive technology. He also attended the Gale Institute of Telegraphy. He was active as a volunteer fireman. He was a member of the LaSalle City Council, LaSalle Lutheran Church board, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was a charter member of the Mohawk Archery Club. He was also a member of the Sveadahl Flying Club.
