Clara L. Rudebusch, 89, of rural Ormsby, died Friday at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Truman.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Odin with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and one hour prior to services at the church.
Clara is survived by her daughter, Darlene Braun of rural Ormsby; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; son-in-law, Vernon Braun; brothers, Johnny, Raleigh, Sever, Oliver and Palmer; sisters, Minnie, Olga, Ruby and Mabel; and other relatives.
Clara Luella Espelund was born April 22, 1910 in Watonwan County to Ole and Pauline (Peterson) Espelund. Clara attended country school in rural Odin and later graduated from St. Paul Beauty School in Minneapolis. She then owned and operated Paris Beauty Shop for several years in Benson. Clara married Carl Pederson and they lived on a farm in rural Odin until Carl's death. Clara then moved to Minneapolis where she worked. She married Carl Rudebusch, who was from the Ormsby area. They lived on the farm until 1993 when she was stricken by a stroke and later became a resident of the Lutheran Retirement Home. Clara was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church.

Daniel 'Foghorn' Ludewig, 66, of 2201 N. Broadway, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000 at New Ulm Medical Center.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday at Church of the Japanese Martyrs in Leavenworth with burial in the church cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the New Ulm veterans organization.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. today and 7:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. A combined rosary by the St. Mary's Knights of Columbus Council 3134 of Sleepy Eye and Holy Family Catholic Aid Society of Leavenworth will be at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Ludewig of New Ulm; brothers-in law and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Marcy Gulden, Darwin and Diane Gieseke, Mrs. Cryrilla Portner, Leander and Sandy Gulden, and Milton Gulden, all of New Ulm, Matthew and Coletta Gulden of rural New Ulm, Robert and Mercedes Pelzel of Sleepy Eye and Roland and LaVon Bode of Walker; aunts and uncle; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born Feb. 1, 1934, in New Ulm to Nicholas and Cecelia (Rothmeier) Ludewig. He attended school in Leavenworth and graduated in 1952 from St. Mary's Catholic School in Sleepy Eye. He married Carol Gulden on Sept. 3, 1957, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. They farmed the family farm in Leavenworth Township, Brown County, until 1967 when they moved to New Ulm. He worked for Mathiowetz Construction for 25 years as a bulldozer operator. He was currently employed by R&G Construction in Marshall. He was nominated this year for the Bowling Hall of Fame in New Ulm. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, St. Mary's Knights of Columbus Council 3134 in Sleepy Eye, Holy Family Catholic Aid Council in Leavenworth, Seifert-Bianchi American Post 132 in New Ulm and Albert Nagel Post 1648 VFW in New Ulm.

Laura D. Weith, 91, of Hutchinson, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at Hutchinson Community Hospital.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson with burial in the Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
She was born on June 18, 1908, in Boon Lake Township, Renville County, to Henry and Emma (Otto) Duesterhoeft. At age 7, she moved with her family to a farm in Meeker County. She attended rural school.
She is survived by her sister, Norma Duesterhoeft of New Ulm; sister-in-law, Ila Duesterhoeft of Faribault; n nieces; nephews; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil Duesterhoeft in 1970; brothers, David Duesterhoeft and Ray Duesterhoeft.
She married Emil Weith on On June 12, 1932, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills Township. They farmed in Boon Lake Township, Renville County. In 1947, they moved to Hutchinson.

Marion E. Brau, 83, of Arlington, died Sunday. Feb. 20, 2000 at Waconia Good Samaritan Center.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Arlington, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 8-10 a.m. Wednesday at Fenske Funeral Home, Arlington.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Mike Noack of Arlington, and Peg and Mark Backes of Chaska; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Kathy Brau of Faribault, and Ray and Roxana Merz Brau of Eden Prairie; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Hallie A. Christensen, 87, of Trimont, formerly of Madelia and rural St. James, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at Trimont Health Care Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, at First Lutheran Church in Trimont, with burial at 2 p.m., at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Madelia.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today, at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont, and at the church Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband, Edward of Trimont; son James and Betty, of Westminster, Colo.; daughter, Linda and Kevin Fett of Trimont; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Douglas; brothers, Robert and James Peters; an infant brother; and a a sister, Mary Ellen.
She was born April 2, 1912, in Avard, Okla., to George and Ella (Hosman) Peters. She attended country school in Oklahoma and graduated from Alva Okla., High School and Northwest State Teachers College in Alva. She married Edward Christensen on Dec. 9, 1945, at Temple, Texas. They moved to a farm southwest of St. James. She was a home economics teacher at Truman Public Schools. They later moved to Madelia and operated Boom's Drive Inn. She helped start Madelia Senior Citizens meals.

Vincent O. Mielke, 79, of Springfield, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with burial in North Star E.U.B. Cemetery, Springfield. Full military honors will be conducted by John Watson American Legion Post, Springfield.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield; and continue one hour prior to services at the church Wednesday.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet; sons, Sherman and wife Sandy of Ham Lake, and Gene and wife Marlene of Cross Lake; daughter, Janet and husband Larry Dammann of Rosemount; step-sons, Robert and wife Lenore Menk of North Mankato and Ronald and wife JoAnn Menk of Hinckley; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, the Rev. Don and wife Pat of St. Cloud, Herbert and wife Sherry of Woodbury, and Alvin and wife Gladys of Loveland, Colo.; and sisters, Gertrude and husband Robert Glimsdahl of Tucson, Ariz. and Mildred Lindstrand of St. Peter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Catherine; daughter, Rosalie; and sister, Beatrice Mullenbach.
He was born Sept. 9, 1920, in Stately Township, Brown County, to Benjamin and Mary (Kersten) Mielke. He attended country school. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1942 until 1945, returning to Springfield to work with Vigorena Feeds as a stationary engineer for 40 years. Following retirement in 1986, he worked at Cottonwood River Vocational Center as a maintenance man for 11 years, and at Hayden Furniture, delivering furniture. He married Catherine Meyer in 1941 in Slayton and later married Harriet Menk on July 27, 1974 in Springfield. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Men of Mission, served on the church council for eight years. He was an active member of John Watson American Legion Post.

Betty (Mrs. Kenneth E.) Kuck, of 310 West Street in New Ulm, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 4 - 8 p.m. today with a parish rosary at 6:30 p.m. and continues 7:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth E. Kuck of New Ulm; sister-in-law and a brother-in-law, Jeanne and Harvey Zupfer of New Ulm; sister-in-law, Florence Kuck of Searles; one niece; and three nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Ruby Masnick and Joseph and Helen Masnick; and sister Susan Masnick.
She was born in Perth Amboy, N.J., to John and Marcella (Meshlovitz) Masnick. She graduated from Houghton High School in Houghton, Mich. She married Kenneth E. Kuck on Sept. 27, 1958, in Lexington, Ky. They lived in various places before moving to Columbus, Ohio, in February of 1960. They lived in Columbus until May 1994 when they moved to New Ulm. She worked as a waitress most of her life, including 22 at the Peter Pan Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. She became a resident of the Oak Hills Living Center in January.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Alzheimer's Research Fund or to the donor's choice.

Agatha (Mrs. Benno) Stadick, 84, of 1011 Sixth North Street, in New Ulm died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at New Ulm Medical Center.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Friday at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Friday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Cathedral. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Benno Stadick of New Ulm; sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey J. and Roberta Stadick of rural New Ulm, and Wallace J. and Lois Stadick of New Ulm; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Oleda and Stanley Lamecker and Hedwig Lieb of Searles, and Lucilla and Roman Lamecker of New Ulm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters-in law, Conrad and Elsie Hoffmann, Oscar and Frieda Hoffmann; and brother-in-law, "Tony" Lieb.
She was born on October 15, 1915, in New Ulm to Conrad and Margaret (Dauer) Hoffmann. She married Benno Stadick on Oct. 14, 1940, at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. They farmed in Cottonwood Township, Brown County for 30 years. They moved into New Ulm in 1970. She had made 13,960 rosaries and 400 quilts for the missions. She was a member of Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, Christian Mothers Society, Quilting Circle and the Council of Catholic Women.
The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers.

She was born Oct. 4, 1916, in New York City to Joseph and Mary (Flynn) Rutherford. She married Leonard Brau on Jan. 13, 1945, in New York. They lived in Arlington for 55 years. She lived at Carrick Manor, Chaska, for two years. She moved to Waconia Good Samaritan Center in November 1999. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Arlington.

Leona (Sue) Tenney, 85, of Faribault, formerly of Redwood Falls, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000 in Faribault.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Redwood Falls, with burial in Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and will continue one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
She is survived by sons, Robert and wife Jeanette of New Brighton, Ward and wife Diane of Mankato, and Donald and wife Susie of Minong, Wis.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brothers, Ward Cuff of California and Harold Cuff of Austin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne and five siblings.
She was born Dec. 17, 1914, in Redwood Falls, to Fischer John and Mathilda (Gooze) Cuff. She lived with her family in Redwood Falls. She graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1933. She married Wayne Tenney on May 30, 1934, in Jackson. She moved to Pleasant Manor Nursing Home, Faribault, in 1996. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Redwood Falls.

Clarence Dagner, 79, of Lamberton, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000 at Springfield Medical Center, Springfield.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Lamberton, with burial at Lamberton Cemetery. Military rites by the Andrew Peterson American Legion Post 41, Lamberton.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-9 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton, and one hour prior to services at the church.
He is survived by his sister Leona Anderson of Lamberton; sister-in-law Dagmar Dagner of Lamberton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and nine sisters.
He was born June 11, 1920 in Lamberton, to Herman and Martha (Boelke) Dagner. He grew up and attended school in Lamberton, graduating from Lamberton High School. He entered the U.S. Army in Oct. 1942 and served during WWII until he was honorably discharged in Sept. 1945. He worked as a carpenter and built grain bins in the Lamberton area for many years. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and Andrew Peterson American Legion in Lamberton for 54 years.
