Erwin Wolle, 88, of St. James, died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, in St. James.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, St. James, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home, St. James, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
He is survived by son, Clifford and wife Eldora of St. James; daughter, Rosella Johnson of St. James; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and brother, Gordon of rural St. James.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella; son-in-law, Larry Johnson; sister, Alwina Gersch; and brothers, Arnold and Herb.
He was born July 18, 1911, in Antrim Township, Watonwan County, to John and Margarithe (Karau) Wolle of Lewisville. He attended country school in District 38. He married Marcella Margaret Flatau on July 2, 1934. He farmed in rural St. James and also did custom farm work. He retired in 1968. He moved to Mayberry Apartments in 1990 and moved to Pleasant View Nursing Home in 1998. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, St. James.

Marion Wiese, 70, of Comfrey, died Thursday, March 9, 2000 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Comfrey, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-10 a.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home, Comfrey. There will be a Christian Mother's rosary 4:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband Walter; daughters, Bonnie and husband Charles Schleif of Comfrey, and Mary and husband Dale Mathiowetz of McHenry, Ill.; grandchildren, Jason, Nathan, Nicholas and Christa Schleif, and Katie, Josh and Megan Mathiowetz; sisters-in-law, Gloria Jungkans of New Ulm, and Nellie Peterson of Comfrey; and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and three brothers.
She was born Feb. 22, 1930 in Springfield, to Alfred and Lillie (Tews) Stark. She attended country school in Stately Township, Brown County, graduating from Comfrey High School. She worked at the dry goods store in Comfrey. She married Walter "Sonny" Wiese on Feb. 10, 1948 in Comfrey. They lived in Comfrey. She worked at Schulte's Bar and Grill, Comfrey. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Comfrey, the Ladies Guild, Christian Mother's Association, and St. Theresa's Circle. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Springfield.

Ruth Peters, 84, died Thursday, March 9, 2000 at the Good Samaritan Center, Stillwater.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Madelia, with burial in the City Cemetery, Mountain Lake.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church Monday.
She is survived by sons, Robert of Stillwater, Kenneth of Milpitas, Calif., and David of St. Paul; grandchildren, Katie, Matthew, Anna and Emily; and sisters, Esther Franz of Plano, Texas and Rachel Brown of Eagle River, Wisc.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters and a brother.
She was born April 25, 1915 in Butterfield, to Reinhold and Mary (Rempel) Kintzi. She grew up in Butterfield and Mountain Lake, where she graduated from high school. She was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church. She attended Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, and later Mankato Teacher's College. She taught elementary school in Lewisville, Brewster, Welcome, Windom and Wabasso. She married Diedrich Peters on June 1, 1941 in Mountain Lake. They moved to Madelia in 1962, where she was organist and youth choir director at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a member of Sorosis Study Club, Madelia Hospital Auxiliary and mending group, Madelia Senior Citizens, and Madelia School Advisory group. She worked as a volunteer at the elementary school, served as a scout den mother and on the Watonwan County Library Board.

Philip C. Neidecker, 88, of 513 S. Valley Street in New Ulm, died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at New Ulm Medical Center.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-10 a.m. Tuesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel Neidecker of New Ulm; daughters and son-in-law, Rosella and Lester Wiltscheck, and Joanne Tauer all of New Ulm; three grandsons; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded
in death by his parents; five sisters and five brothers.
He was born Sept. 2, 1911, in Sigel Township, Brown County, to Wenzel and Margaret (nee Pechtel) Neidecker. He attended country school. He married Mabel Zander on Sept. 26, 1939, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. They farmed in Sigel Township until retiring in 1976 when they moved to New Ulm. He also worked for Roeders Hatchery in New Ulm, and Del Monte Foods in Sleepy Eye after retirement. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm.

Agnes M. Wheeler, 87, of Brooklyn Center and formerly of Redwood Falls, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, in Brooklyn Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, Redwood Falls, with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls; and continues one hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Joseph A. Jacoby, 100, of Springfield, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery in Springfield.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-10 a.m Wednesday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.
He is survived by daughters, Mary Alice and husband Frank Pribyl of North Mankato, Dorothy and husband Cliff Edstrom of Pine Island; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Schottenbauer of Redwood Falls, Leona and husband Tom Keleher of Omaha, Neb. and Sister Mary Catherine of St. Clair's Monastery in Sauk Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Donald; and brother, Bert.
He was born Jan. 10, 1990, to Philip and Marie (Filzen) Jacoby in Sundown Township, Redwood County. He attended country school. He married Veronica Landkammer on Aug. 26, 1930, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield. The couple farmed in Sundown Township until 1984 when they moved into Springfield. Veronica died in 1988. He became a resident at St. John Lutheran Home in 1995. He was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and also served as treasurer for School District No. 1750. He was chairman of the Sundown Historical Society Board of Directors. He became a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters in1926, and received many honors from the organization.

William J. Minnihan, 89, of New Hope, formerly of Taopi, died Saturday, March 11, 2000,
A service will be held 9:15 a.m. Tuesday Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Road, Crystal. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 7301 Bass Lake Road, Crystal. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today the funeral home.
He is survived by son, Jim and wife Cathy of Moline, Ill.; daughters, Patricia of New Hope, Margaret and husband George Schimmele of New Ulm; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret of Jefferson, Iowa; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; his parents; two brothers; and one sister.

Lester P. Weber, 84, of 114 7th East Street in Gibbon, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at his home.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon with burial in St. Willibrord's Catholic Cemetery in Gibbon.
Visitation is 4- 8 p.m. today and 7:30 - 10 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. today at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon.
He is survived by his wife, Angeline (Sellner) Weber of Gibbon; daughters and sons-in-law, Marian and William Schmitz of Alexandria, Doris and James Zitzmann of Gibbon, Elaine and Donald Kenyon of Henning, Jenette and James Scoates of Redwood Falls, Donna and Larry Frederickson of New Ulm, Barbara and Keith Foster of New Ulm; sons and daughters-in-law, Lloyd and LuAnn Weber of Brownton, David and Carole Weber of Stockbridge, Ga., Leon and Juliette Weber of Winthrop, Marvin and Jane Weber of Lafayette, Ronald C. Weber of Winthrop, Richard Weber and Dennis Weber of New Ulm, Paul and Dawn Weber of Lafayette; 42 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; brother, George Weber of Gibbon; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Joseph Weber in 1999.
He was born Oct. 18, 1915, in Gibbon to Sebastian and Mary (Hrdlicka) Weber. He attended country school. He started farming in 1938 on his own. He married Angeline Sellner on May 7, 1940 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. After marriage, they farmed in rural Gibbon until he retired in 1979. They moved into Gibbon in 1983. He was a member of the St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon and the Catholic Aid Society.

Josephine Carlson, 84, of Hector, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Buffalo Healthcare Center.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Hector with burial in the Hector City Cemetery.
Visitation begins at noon Wednesday at the church.
Arrangements have been made with Hughes Funeral Home.
She is survived by her daughter, Joann Carlson of Burnsville, son, LeRoy Joyce Carlson of Hector; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters Mabel Seashore of Los Angeles, Calif., Helen Podratz of Gibbon, Della and husband Herb Boelter of Gaylord; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; and sisters, Violet and Emma.
She was born on April 14, 1915, in Grafton Township, Sibley County, to Henry and Sophie (Stradtmann) Kirchhoff. She married Richard Carlson on April 18, 1938, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Moltke Township. They farmed in Martinsburg Township until Richard's death in 1965. She moved to Hector where she lived until becoming a resident at the Buffalo Lake Healthcare Center.

Joseph A. Jacoby, 100, of Springfield, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery in Springfield.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-10 a.m Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. There will be a parish service at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. There will be a men's rosary at the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Viola C. Zins, 96, of 1023 N. Jefferson St., in New Ulm died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at New Ulm Medical Center.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday and will continue 7:30-10 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Cathedral, and there will be a parish prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and William Huelskamp and Bonita Boettger all of New Ulm, Evie and Victor Anderson of Fairmont; a son Howard Zins and Terri both of New Ulm. 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Agnes Kopetzki of Mankato. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin C. Zins on Aug. 12, 1979; son-in-law, Gerald Boettger; great-grandson, Jared Steffl; three brothers and four sisters.
She was born July 3, 1903 in Brighton Township, Nicollet County, to Nicholas and Anna (Franta) Sondag. On Oct. 22, 1929, she married Martin C. Zins in Swan Lake. They farmed in the Swan Lake area before moving into New Ulm in 1968. She was a member of Cathedral of the Holy Trinity New Ulm and Christian Mothers Society.

Agnes M. Wheeler, 87, of Brooklyn Center, formerly Redwood Falls, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, in Brooklyn Center.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, Redwood Falls with burial at the Redwood Falls Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion, V.F.W. and National Guard, Units of Redwood Falls.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls; and continues one hour before services Wednesday at the church .
She is survived by a son, Paul A. Wheeler and his wife Donna of Maple Grove; daughter, Jo Anne Hunt of Bloomington; grandchildren, Anthony Hunt, Angela Johnson, Brian Hunt, Amy Wheeler Schulz and Aaron Wheeler.
She was preceded in death by her husband in February 1996; son-in-law, Forrest Hunt; brothers Hjalmer, Rudy, Luther, Arthur, Clifford; and sister Elvera Burch.
She was born on Dec. 12, 1912, in rural Delhi, Minnesota to Axel and Josephine (Anderson) Hultquist. She graduated from Belview High School in 1930. She did housekeeping the in the Redwood Falls area. In 1936 entered McPhail School of Music in Minneapolis, but quit due to ill health. In the fall of 1936, she began working as a nurse's aid in Redwood Falls. She ten attended the nursing program at Eitel Hospital in Minneapolis and graduated as a registered nurse in 1941. She served in the Army Nurses Corps through Ft. Snelling during World War II, including a year in the Philippines. She was discharged in January 1946. She returned to her job in Redwood Falls. On Aug. 31, 1946, she married Kenneth Wheeler at Belview. She continued her nursing career, including serving as a school nurse from 1954 until 1956. She started the "Nearly Nurses" program. She and her husband farmed southeast of Delhi and retired in 198. They moved to Redwood Falls in September 1995. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and in 1980 she became a member of the Session of the Presbyterian Church and served for three years. She was a member of American Legion and Auxiliary. In September 1978, she became the first woman in Redwood County to join the V.F.W. She is registered with the new Women in War Memorial at Washington, D.C. She was active in the DFL party.
