Edna Scofield, 100, formerly of Balaton and Marshall, died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at the Lake Shore Inn Nursing Home, Waseca.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at McRaith Funeral Home, Waseca, with burial Saturday, at Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before Friday services.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; sister Inez Gifford; and brothers Oliver and Russel Wegner.
She was born June 21, 1900 in Germantown Township, Redwood County, to Charles and Minnie (Werner) Wegner. She married Bernard Scofield in 1934 in Lamberton. They lived in Balaton where they owned and operated a Standard Oil station. They later moved to Marshall where she did home child care. She moved to Waseca in 1994 to be near family.

Douglas Boardman, 67, of Tomah, died Saturday, July 1, 2000, at the VA Medical Center, Tomah.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Central Lutheran Church, Fairfax, with burial in Hauge Cemetery, Camp Township.
Visitation will be 10:30-11 a.m. Friday at the church. The Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel of Fairfax is assisting with arrangements.
He is survived by 15 cousins.
He was born February 11, 1933 to Gordon Cleis and Mabel Elizabeth (Hanson) Boardman in Millville, N.J. He served in the Korean Conflict. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He was a social workers in Medford and Racine, Wis.

Wyat Deming, 6, of Evan, died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato from injuries received in a weekend auto accident.
Services will be delayed because his parents, Wade and Cheryl Deming, are in the hospital.
Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.

Esther Ericson, 88, of Gibbon, formerly of Winthrop, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at her home.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Clear Lake Baptist Church in Severance Township in Sibley County, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Friday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop, and at the church Friday, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband Ernest of Gibbon; sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Patricia Ericson of Gibbon and Darryl and Cheryl of Blaine; grandchildren, Brenda Anderson of Andover, Tammy Ericson of Blaine; great-grandson, Jacob Ericson of Blaine; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles, Albert, Arthur, George and Paul Johnson; and sisters, Ida Forsen and Mabel Gustafson.
She was born Feb. 9, 1912, in Cornish Township, Sibley County, to Swan Alfred and Betsy (Jacobson) Johnson. She married Ernest Ericson on Sept. 25, 1939, in Franklin. They farmed in Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County and Bismarck Township, Sibley County. She also did seasonal work at Green Giant in Winthrop and Glencoe. They retired and moved to Winthrop in 1971. She worked at Hands Inc. They moved to Gibbon in 1992.

Kathryn Jensen, 55, of Morgan, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Morgan, with burial in Morgan City Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Nelson Funeral Home in Morgan and at the church Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Nicole E. and John Andersen of Bloomington; son, Marcus Jensen of Prior Lake; mother, Jane Rasmussen and husband Paul of Sleepy Eye; grandson, Maxwell Anderson; brothers and sisters, Judy and Lloyd Tompkins of Park Rapids, Alan Jacobsen of Morgan, David and Kathleen Jacobsen of Northfield; Curtis and Lisa Jacobsen of Prescott, Wis.; stepbrother Fred Rasmussen and wife Jane of Evan; and nieces and nephews; stepbrothers and sisters, Paul Jr. and Linda Rasmussen of Benld, Ill.; Rita and Bill Gorman of Arcadia, Calif.; Red and Jane Rasmussen of Evan; Mark Rasmussen of Sleepy Eye, and Sandra and Todd Johnson of Spokane, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her father and sister Janice in infancy.
She was born June 7, 1945, to Richard and Jane (Woodford) Jacobsen. She graduated from Morgan High School in 1963 and Bemidji State in 1967. She taught at Hibbing for two years. She married Harold Jensen on March 29, 1969, in Morgan. They lived in Prior Lake and she taught in Shakopee for a year. They divorced in 1986. She lived in the Twin Cities from 1986-1990. She lived on a farm with her mother near Morgan from 1990 until 1994 when she moved to Morgan.

Sister Laura Reinhart, 76, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Good Counsel Convent, Mankato.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Good Counsel Chapel, with burial in Good Counsel Cemetery.
Visitation is 5:30-7 p.m. today with vespers in the convent chapel at 7 p.m., and one hour before the funeral Friday.
Landkamer-Johnson-Boman is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by sisters, Alice Schmidt of Minneapolis, Tudy Kitzberger of Eau Claire, Wis., Arlyn Weinmann of Heilbronn, Germany, and Betty Lopez of Colfax, Wis.; brothers, Jim Reinhart of Homer, Alaska, and Marion Reinhart of Thompson Falls, Mont; sisters-in-law, Harriet and Ardyce Reinhart, both of New Ulm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and four brothers.
She was born Oct. 9, 1923, in Cottonwood Township, Brown County, to Henry and Elizabeth (Schaefer) Reinhart. She was a member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame. She taught school for 33 years in Minnesota and served as a religious education coordinator. During her teaching years, she also served as principal, organist and choir director. She earned a B.A. degree from Mount Mary College, Milwaukee; and an M.A. in theology from the University of Notre Dame. She retired to the Provincial House in 1988.

Evelyn Johnson, 79, of St. Peter, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Lakeview Nursing Home.
Services are 7 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church in St. Peter, with a private burial at Winthrop Cemetery.
A memorial service with no visitation will be held. Memorials are preferred. St. Peter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her son Robert and daughter-in-law Andrea Johnson of Mapleton; daughter Janet and son-in-law Merlin Myhra of Pipestone; and grandson, Wade Johnson of Ames, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; brothers, Gerald and Ronald; and a grandson.
She was born April 16, 1921, in Winthrop to Alex and Hattie (Bubolz) Krueger. She quit school at age 16 to help support her family, but returned in 1981 and got her diploma at age 60. She married Raymond L.H. Johnson on Aug. 6, 1942, in Winthrop. She lived in Wisconsin and North Carolina while he was in the military. They returned to farm near Winthrop and later to Norseland where they worked in the general store. They moved to St. Peter in 1951. She worked in a restaurant, as a clerk, home aide and sold Tupperware for 23 years. She was an adult leader for Cub Scouts, BLue Birds and 4-H. She started the University of Minnesota Extension Program in St. Peter and served as President of the Extension Council in Nicollet County.

Sister Laura Reinhart, also known as Sister Mary Anthony, 76, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at Good Counsel Convent, Mankato.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Good Counsel Chapel, with burial in Good Counsel Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
She is survived by sisters, Alice Schmidt of Minneapolis, Esther "Tudy" and her husband Gerald Kitzberger of Eau Claire, Wis., Arlyn and husband Dr. Manfred Weinmann of Heilbronn, Germany, and Betty Lopez of Colfax, Wis.; brothers, Henry "Jim" and wife Linda Reinhart of Homer, Alaska, and Marion Reinhart of Thompson Falls, Mont; sisters-in-law, Harriet and Ardyce Reinhart, both of New Ulm, Ellen Bode of St. Peter and Patricia Reinhart of Dayton, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Angeline Domeier and Bernice Walter; brothers Ferdinand, Chester, Harley, and Lt. Col Victor Reinhart; brothers-in-law, Melvin Schmidt, Leo Walter and Edwin Domeier, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Myrtle Schroeder, 93, of Redwood Falls, died Wednesday, July 3, 2000, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center, Redwood Falls.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Christian Church, Redwood Falls, with burial in the city cemetery..
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday at Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church Saturday.
She is survived by daughter, Janice McCorquodale of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; grandchildren, Cindy Doble and husband Tom of Prior Lake, Gary McCorquodale and wife Mary of Rosemount; four great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; two step-great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Sparby of Redwood Falls, and Bessie Hogstad of Inglewood, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William on May 19, 1971; son-in-law, Harvey McCorquodale; three brothers; and one sister.
She was born May 17, 1907, in Redwood Falls, to Charles and Etta (Redding) Schelkoph. She lived in Redwood Falls, where she attended school. She married William H. Schroeder on Nov. 17, 1930, in Redwood Falls. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Esther Larson, 94, of Welcome, died Thursday, July 6, 2000, at Pleasantview Good Samaritan Center, St. James.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Kramer Family Funeral Home Chapel in Welcome, with burial in Fairview Memorial Park, Fairmont.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Italina Larson of Las Vegas, Nev., Richard and Florine Larson of Welcome, and Orval and Joyce Larson of St. James; brother and sister-in-law, Alvin "Bud" and Eddie Ekstrand of Welcome; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Orval; son, Dale Larson; great-grandson, brothers and sisters and other relatives.
She was born Dec. 27, 1905, in Odgen, Iowa, to Peter and Elizabeth (Peterson) Ekstrand. The family later farmed in Elm Creek Township, Martin County, Minnesota. She married Orval Larson on May 10, 1927 in Fraser Township, Martin County. They farmed in Elm Creek, Fraser and Fox Lake townships. She lived on the farm until moving to Welcome. She moved to Pleasantview Good Samaritan Center in St. James in 1996.

Malker W. Hippert
NEW ULM ­ Malker W. Hippert, 86, of 1021 N. Garden St., in New Ulm, died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Funeral service is 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood United Methodist Church in New Ulm with burial in the City Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue one hour before the service at church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hippert of New Ulm; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Curtis Christensen of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; grandsons, Craig Christensen of Denver, Colo., Andrew Christensen of Austin, Texas; and brother, Harold Hippert of New Ulm.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born Aug. 7, 1913, in New Ulm to Malchoir and Bertha (Werner) Hippert. He attended school in New Ulm and was a graduate of New Ulm High School. He married Ruth Sommer on Aug. 27, 1941, in New Ulm. He worked for the Kemske Paper Co. in New Ulm for 45 years until his retirement. He was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church in New Ulm, Lions Club, Boy Scouts of America for which he was an Eagle Scout examiner.

Michael Goblirsch, 87, of Sleepy Eye, died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at Divine Providence Community Home, Sleepy Eye.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. A parish prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Carol and Robert Cibuzar of Duluth, James and Jane of Sleepy Eye, Jerome and Lucy of Eagle Lake, Joan Meyer of Big Springs, Texas, Michael and Dianna of Coon Rapids, Gary and Judy of Bloomington, Charlene Forster of Sleepy Eye and fiance Mark Berdan of New Ulm, Lindy and Dick Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye, Roger and Cathy of New Ulm, Steven and Annette of Rochester, Susan and Ray Kral of Sleepy Eye and Mary Jo and Robert Hille of Sleepy Eye; 37 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Turbes of Sleepy Eye; sisters-in-law, Marie and Everett Soukup of Sleepy Eye, Agnes Forster of New Ulm, Adeline and Bill Harpel of Glencoe, Delrose Chadderdon of Faribault and Jeannette Forster of Selah, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Veronica; sons, Joseph and Paul; brothers, Peter, Frank, Albert, George, and Otto; sister, Katherine; son-in-law, Gib Forster; grandson, Mikel; and one great-grandson, Peyton.
He was born Sept. 15, 1912, in Albin Township, Brown County, to Joseph and Mary (Mathiowetz) Goblirsch. He married Veronica Forster on Feb. 18, 1935, in Comfrey. They farmed in Albin Township and moved to Sleepy Eye in 1971. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye.
