Grace Buss, 88, of Fairfax, died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at Fairfax Community Home.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Wellington Township, Renville County, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church Saturday.
Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Fairfax, is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by daughters, Verjean Schindeldecker of Shorewood, and Marry Ellen Tidabeck and husband David of St. Paul; son, Wayne of San Jose, Calif.; two grandchildren; sisters, Lena Dieckman of Alexandria, and Erna Jensen of Whittier, Calif.; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; daughter-in-law, Keri Buss; sister, Ella Zieske; and brothers, Otto, Ewald, Herbert and Alvin.
She was born Feb. 6, 1912, in Grafton Township, Sibley County, to Carl and Emma (Abraham) Doering.
She moved to Moltke Township, rural Gibbon.
She attended school at St. Peter Lutheran School.
She married Herbert Buss on Feb. 9, 1935, in St. Peter.
They lived on a farm site in Wellington Township, Renville County.
She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Wellington Township.
She was active in church, church school and with the Ladies Aid.

Merle Gruber, 85, of North Mankato, died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at Mankato Lutheran Home.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at messiah Lutheran Church, N. Mankato, with burial in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Memorials may be given to Messiah Lutheran Church.
Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by daughter, Marlene Karau and husband Paul of North Mankato; sons, Mills and wife Nancy of White Bear Lake, Gill and wife Judi of St. Louis Park; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Roberta Ogelsby of Mankato.
He was preceded in death by his wife; one sister; and two brothers.
He was born April 20, 1915, to Floyd and Mabel (Simmons) Gruber in Elysian.
He married Marce Nenow on Dec. 25, 1935, in Mankato.
He lived in New Ulm for a short time before returning to Mankato.
He worked in sales and was manager of Sherwin Williams Paint Store, Mankato.
He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, where he was active in the Plus 60 Bible study group and was past chairman of the Missionary Board.

Eunice Quesenberry, 65, of Redwood Falls, died Thursday, July 27, 2000 at Wood Dale Nursing Home, Redwood Falls.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Redwood Falls, with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and will continue one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
She is survived by her father Milton of Redwood Falls; sister Sharon Berkner and husband Robert of Cambridge; brother Lloyd and wife Jeanne of Easton; and 11 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Dora; and brother Richard.
She was born Nov. 16, 1934 on the family farm in Three Lakes Township, redwood County, to Milton and Dora (Bunnell) Quesenberry.
She attended district 101 elementary school in Three Lakes Township.
She worked at the D.A.C., Redwood Falls.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Wilton Sorenson, 86, of Redwood Falls, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at the Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Belview, with burial in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, rural Redwood Falls.
Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday at the Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and at the church Monday, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Gail Sorenson of Redwood Falls; two granddaughters; two sisters, Virginia Grund of Staples and Lois and Charles Dirlam of Eugene, Ore.; and a brother, Douglas Sorenson of Owatonna.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Constance.
He was born Nov. 21, 1913, in Bloomington, Ill. to Louis and Mabel (Hendrickson) Sorenson.
The family moved to Delhi in 1919.
He married Constance Sorenson on Oct. 11, 1941, in Lafayette.
They lived in Clarkfield for a year before moving to Delhi where they farmed for 32 years.
They retired in 1978 and moved to Redwood Falls in 1983.
He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Belview.
He served on the Delhi Lutheran Church Board for 10 years, the Delhi Township Board for 10 years and the Delhi School Board for 15 years.

Charles Arduser, 80, died Friday, July 28, 2000, at Madelia Community Hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Madelia, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today and 9-10:45 a.m. Monday at Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia.
A rosary will be recited at 4:45 p.m. and a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy; daughters and sons-in-law, Barb and Dave Holmgren of St. James, Connie Miller of Madelia, and Linda and Larry Hogan of North Mankato; a son, Terry and special friend Sandy Reberg of Madelia; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and sisters, Jean Boucher of Ringold, Okla. and Shirley Rudebeck of Barnum.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Laddie, a sister Norma and son-in-law Keith Miller.
He was born Feb. 16, 1920 in rural Belden, Neb. to Leonard and Dolie (Whipple) Arduser.
He served in the South Pacific with the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He married Dorothy Zimmerer on June 19, 1946 in Creighton, Neb.
They farmed in Nebraska until moving to Madelia in 1953 where they bought and operated Madelia Produce, the Coast to Coast store and Boom's Drive-In.
He retired in 1982.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the VFW, American Legion Post, where he was a past commander, and the Knights of Columbus.
He served over 25 years with the Madelia Fire Department.

Vivian Horan, 70, formerly of New Ulm, died July 29, 2000.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia Heights, with a private interment at Fort Snelling.
Visitation will be one hour before burial at the church.
She is survived by her husband George; daughters and son-in-law Mary and Greg Cardinal of Minneapolis, Megan and Daniel Sweet of Hugo, Shannon and Larry Williams of Hopkins; sons and daughters-in-law James and Eileen of Eagan, Thomas and Julie of Tulsa, Okla., Patrick and Kathy of Edina and Timothy and Darlene of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Hazel, of Palm Desert, Calif.; and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Mistie.

Evelyn T. Olson, formerly of New Ulm, died Thursday, July 27, 2000, at the Thorn Crest Retirement Center Health Care Wing in Albert Lea.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, with burial in Graceland Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by a son, David, of San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a daughter and son-in-law Karen and Ron Burnett of Lansing, Mich.; a brother and sister-in-law, Al and Marilyn Lerum of Minneapolis; a sister-in-law Minnie Lerum of Albert Lea; and a brother-in-law Ken Otto of Austin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger, daughter Diane Burnett; brothers, Buzz, Bob and Bud Lerum; and sisters Dorothy Dunn and Gladys Otto.
She was born Sept. 13, 1913 in Alden to Alfred and Gustina (Gulbrandson) Lerum.
She married Roger Olson May 9, 1933 in Albert Lea.
She lived for nine years in New Ulm where she belonged to Methodist Church.
She worked in the Hawthorne School cafeteria in Albert Lea for 24 years.
She belonged to the Moose Lodge in Albert Lea.

Marvin Borth, 85, of Winthrop, died Friday, July 21, 2000, at Glencoe Area Health Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop, with burial in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8-9 a.m. Wednesday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Winthrop, and at the church, one hour prior to the service.

Henry MacMaster, 73, of St. James, died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2004 at First Presbyterian Church in St. James. Burial with military honors will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, St. James.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pease Funeral Home, St. James and Monday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys; sons, Bruce of St.James, Brad of Detroit Lakes, a step daughter, Dawn Rooney of Essig; step sons Jeff Meyer and Troy Meyer, both of St. James; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 2 adopted grandchildren; a half brother, Ray Hager of New Ulm.
He was born Nov. 5, 1930 in St. James.

Wilhelmine Schmidt, 89, of Courtland, died Friday, March 26, 2004 at the New Ulm Medical Center. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Courtland Evangelical Lutheran Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday and 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. Monday at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm, and one hour prior to service at the church.
Wilhelmine Lydia Martha Kratzke, the daughter of Anton and Wilhelmina (Hermel) Kratzke, was born May 19, 1914 in Nicollet County, where she spent her youth and attended country school. She was united in marriage to Wesley Schmidt November 21, 1935 in Winthrop. Together, they spent their entire married life in Courtland. Wilhelmine worked at Eibner's in New Ulm and Foster's Grocery in Courtland. Her husband died August 1, 1991. She was a member of Courtland Evangelical Lutheran Church and an honorary member of the Martha Circle. Wilhelmine was also active in Courtland Senior Citizens. She loved gardening, crafts, crocheting, and fishing.
Survivors include her daughter, Carrie Woller and her husband Albert of Courtland; son, Byron Schmidt and his wife Debra of Courtland; grandchildren, Jenna Silva, Jared Schmidt, Kevin and Brent Woller; sister-in-law, Lillian Studtmann and her husband Willmar of Courtland; brothers-in-law, Walter Hulke of New Ulm, Fillmore Wilking of Kasota; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers Herman and Ruben Kratzke, and sister Emelia Rengstorf.

Gladys Marian (Simpson) Burns, 90,of Lamberton, died on Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Springfield Medical Center in Springfield.
Visitation will be 9 - 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Sanborn.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Sanborn. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.
Gladys Marion Burns was born Dec. 28, 1913 in Terril, Iowa, to Floyd and Rosie (Kallsen) Simpson.
She is survived by her sisters, Helen Kaseforth of Springfield, Esther Foy of Sanborn, Arlene Dammann of Sanborn, Mary Raitz of Brooklyn Park, and Delores Hogen of Sanborn.

Mildred Muller, 97, of New Ulm, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at the First United Methodist Church in New Ulm with Reverend Dean Nosek officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.
Schmucker Funeral Service of New Ulm is handling arrangements.
Mildred Ilene Newbold, the daughter of Warren and Erma (Bloomfield) Newbold, was born November 18, 1906 in Liberty Township, Kearney County, NE. She graduated from Minden High School in 1924, received teacher's training and taught in country schools. Mildred married Otis Muller on July 20, 1927. Together they farmed in Nebraska until 1940. The family moved to Minnesota, farming in the Lafayette, Searles, and West Newton Township areas. Following their retirement in 1970, they moved to Lafayette. Otis died February 6, 1985. Mildred became a resident of Oak Hills Living Center in 1995.
Mildred was active in the Methodist Church, serving in WSCS and church circles. She served as a 4-H leader and was active in Extension groups. She loved gardening, sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting, playing cards and playing the organ.
Survivors include her daughters, Mavis Woods and her husband Marion of Winthrop, Vreela Nelson and her husband Narve of New Ulm, Sharon Hulke and her husband Ronald of Courtland, Connie Hatch and her husband Michael of Rochester; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Vernon Newbold of Hershey, PA; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otis; one great-granddaughter, Heidi Zamzow; three brothers and two sisters.
Memorials are preferred.
