Jo Ellen (Mrs. Robert) Lindemann, 41, of Norwood, and formerly of New Ulm, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 4 - 9 p.m. today and will continue 7:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lindemann, of Norwood; daughter, Reva Lindemann, of Norwood; father, Larry Zimmerman of New Ulm; grandmother Alice Zimmerman Madsen and her husband, Stanley, of Fairmont; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Wayne Wels of New Ulm, Linda and Allan Wills and Peggy and David Otto all of Nicollet; brother and sister-in-law Barry and Shelli Zimmerman of New Ulm; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Craig and Mary Lindemann of New Ulm, William and Cindy Lindemann of Lakeville, Bruce and Julie Lindemann of St. Bonifacius; sister-inlaw and brother-in-law, Gwen and Troy Samuelson of St. Peter; sister-in-law, Tricia Dawn Sticha of Minneapolis; and by nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Beverly Zimmerman on Aug. 16, 1996; one grandmother and two grandfathers.
She was born Jan. 13, 1959, in Mankato to Larry and Beverly (McCarthy) Zimmerman. She attended school in New Ulm and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1978. On June 30, 1984, she married Robert Lindemann at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. They moved to Waconia living there for five years before moving to Norwood. For many years she worked as a licensed day-care provider out of her home. She was a member of the Catholic Church in Norwood.

Chester Wylie, 97, of Hutchinson, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2000, at Winthrop Good Samaritan Center.
Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, with burial in Oakland Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today and 8-11 a.m. Wednesday at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Hutchinson and at the church Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.

Roman Hacker, 82, of Fairfax, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Center, Redwood Falls.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Fairfax, with burial in the church Cemetery, Cairo Township, Renville County, with full military rites by the Fairfax Honor Guard.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Hauser-Hangte Funeral Chapel, Fairfax, and will continue one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. There will be a rosary at 6 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m., both Wednesday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; sons, Edwin of Fairfax, Thomas of Willmar; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother,Lawrence; and sister-in-law, Cecilia.
He was born Feb. 5, 1918, in Fairfax, to Louis and Katherine (Dietz) Hacker. He attended country schools in the Fairfax area. He entered the U.S. Army on Sept. 11, 1942. He served as a private at Fort Snelling and received an honorable discharge on Jan. 9, 1943. He returned to the Fairfax area, where he worked as a hired hand for local farmers. He later farmed in Camp Township, Renville County. He married Anna Hilda Blazaitis on July 9, 1958, in New Ulm. They lived and farmed in Camp Township. He moved to Sunwood Good Samaritan Center, Redwood Falls on May 31, 2000. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, and Fairfax Legion Post 205.

Leila Klabunde, 91, of Brownton, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, at Burns Manor Nursing Home, Hutchinson.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Brownton, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the church, and will continue 8 a.m. until time of the service Friday at the church.
Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Hutchinson, is in charge of arrangements.

John W. Knoebel, 62, of Winthrop, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000 at home, with cancer.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Peace Lutheran Church, Winthrop, with burial 11 a.m. Saturday in Glenwood City Cemetery, Glenwood City, Wisc. Local military rites will be by the Winthrop Honor Guard.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the church, and will continue one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Dalin-Hangte Funeral Chapel, Winthrop, is handling arrangements.

Dennis LowtherA memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church, Lake City, for Dennis E. Lowther of Fargo, formerly of Winona.
Lunch will follow at Waterman's Restaurant 4-6 p.m.
Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, was in charge of arrangements.

Mary Bruggeman, 103, of Fairfax, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Sleepy Eye Care Center.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Fairfax, with burial in the church Cemetery, Cairo Township, Renville County.
Visitation is one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Fairfax, is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters.
She was born June 30, 1897, in rural Fairfax, to Benjamin and Elizabeth (Olinger) Bruggeman. She grew up in the Fairfax area, where she attended country school. She moved to Sleepy Eye Care Center on Dec. 30, 1986. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Fairfax.

Ronald Emich, 67, of rural Nicollet, died Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2000, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Mankato. Burial with military honors will be in Kern's Oak Grove Cemetery in Belgrade Township, Nicollet County.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary and at the church Friday, one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Mankato, or the American Cancer Society.
He is survived by his wife, Doris of rural Nicollet; sons, Scott of St. Peter, Jonathon and his wife Jane of Nicollet, Stuart of Farmington, and Christopher and his special friend Shari Hedler of Mankato; daughter, Jane and Timothy Struss of Courtland; 13 grandchildren; great-grandson; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and LuAnn of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Donald Hoese of Mayer, Kathryn and Wendel Schroder of Plato; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born Sept. 5, 1932, to George and Helen (Ernst) Emich in Lester Prairie. He graduated from Lester Prairie High School in 1950. He worked for Central Manufacturing in Lester Prairie, McLeod-Wright Creameries, served in the U.S. Navy, worked for Lester's Inc., Sears Roebuck, the U.S. Post Office, Blue Earth County Assessor's Office, owned and operated Emich's Market, Standard Lumber in St. Peter, Cotter Co. in Mankato and Mankato Mortuary. He was an elder and Mens' Club member at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato. He also belonged to the Nicollet Lions Club, Nicollet Conservation Club, a past officer for AAL and Food for Friends of VINE.

Helena Freyholtz, 97, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Fairfax Community Home.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Wellington Township, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church Saturday.
Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Fairfax, is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by daughters, Delores Bendixen and husband Norman of Morgan, Shirley Stimpert of Tempe, Ariz., Jean Kokesch and husband George of New Ulm; son, Larris and wife Lorraine of Blackduck; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers, Victor Kiecker and wife Edwina, and Lawrence Kiecker and wife Merlyn, all of Fairfax; sister-in-law, Lois Kiecker of Fairfax; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry; son Wallace; five brothers; and two sisters.
She was born Oct. 22, 1902, in Wellington Township, Renville County, to Anton and Sophie (Uetzmann) Kiecker. She attended Emanuel Lutheran School. She married Harry Freyholtz on May 21, 1929. They farmed in rural Fairfax until retirement. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Addie McLain of Irvine, Calif., Robert and wife Mary of Howard Lake, Barbara of Farmington, Dedrick of Germany, Peggy Mitch of Glenwood City, Wis.; stepchildren, James Newton of Winthrop and Katie Kizer of Winthrop; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; brothers, David and wife Alice of Homer, La., James and wife Kathy of Hudson, Wis., and Danny of Columbus, Ohio; sisters, Betty Portell of Blackwell, Mo., and Susan Knoebel of Menomonie, Wis.; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was born May 14, 1938, in Glenwood, Wis., to Harrison and Emma (Hopmann) Knoebel. He attended and graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1956. He worked three years near his home hauling milk, working construction and farming. He entered the U.S. Army on April 1, 1959. He married Erika Bauer on July 22, 1961, in Germany. He received an honorable discharge on June 1, 1967. He re-enlisted and continued serving in the Army with the 3rd Infantry in Cannon Falls for two years, where he was an E-6 staff sergeant. He later worked 11 years with the 452nd General Supply Company, Winthrop. He married Carol Eiler on Nov. 22, 1976 in Watertown, S.D. He retired from the U.S. Army in November 1987. He worked at Mid-America Dairy for 30 years in Farmington and Winthrop, until retirement. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Winthrop, where he served as custodian for several years. He was a member of Winthrop American Legion Post 314 and Farmington V.F.W. Post 7662.

Arline Steenhoven, 93, of Springfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at Sunwood Care Center, Redwood Falls.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, Springfield.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-10 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
She is survived by sons, Richard and wife Jeanette of Grand Rapids, John and wife Virginia of West Lafayette, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; sister, Stella Thomas; granddaughter Mary; and great-grandson Bryan.
She was born March 24, 1907, in New Ulm, to Louis and Anna (Kretsch) Schilling. She attended Holy Trinity School, New Ulm. In 1917, she moved to Springfield, where she attended and graduated from high school at St. Raphael's. She attended St. Theresa's College, Winona, and began teaching in Sanborn and Glencoe. She was a principal, supervised class plays, was a declamatory coach, and taught English, German and history. She married John Steenhoven on June 1, 1935, in Glencoe. They operated an implement company in Lamberton. They later moved to Springfield, where they joined Louis Schilling in the hardware and implement business. Steenhoven Implement closed in 1987. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church, St. Anne's CCW, the Lady Foresters, and Springfield Senior Citizens.

Patricia Ann "Yonker" Mueller, 69, of rural St. James, formerly of Windom, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000 at Benefis Health Care Hospital -- East Campus in Great Falls, Montana.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Saturday at American Lutheran Church of Windom with burial in Lakeview Cemetery in Windom.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and from 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the American Lutheran Church of Windom.
She is survived by husband, Thomas Mueller, of rural St. James; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Julie Yonker of Ketchikan, Alaska, Jeff and Lynette of Windom; daughter and son-in-law, Kris and Tim Hayenga of Windom; six grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Elaine Killen of Medford, Ore., David and Ginger Killen of Northfield; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Leon Lauck of Wittemore, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; 13 grandchildren and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband LeRoy Yonker; granddaughter Kate Yonker; sister, Adelia Mae Killen; and other relatives.
She was born on Dec. 27, 1930, to Harold and Myrtle (Stevens) Killen. She was a 1948 graduate of St. James High School. She attended Mankato State Nursing School. She helped in the family bakery in Jackson and also at Jackson Drug store.
She married LeRoy Yonker on Aug. 26, 1951 in Jackson. They lived in Minneapolis and later in Sioux Falls until moving to Windom. They owned and operated Yonker Decorating and Design Store. LeRoy died on Dec. 25, 1978. She continued living in Windom and operating the store with her son, Mike until selling it in 1983.
She assisted at Bauer Decorating in Windom and also helped start the activities program at the Sogge Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Windom. On July 24, 1982, she married Thomas Mueller in Windom. They lived in Windom and later moved to Ormsby and finally to the south shore of Long Lake, of rural St. James.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in St. James and a former member of the American Lutheran Church of Windom.
