Adeline Knutson, 93, of Walnut Creek, Calif., formerly of New Ulm, died Oct. 19, 2000, in Walnut Creek, Calif.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at United Church of Christ, New Ulm, with burial in New Ulm City Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm, is handling arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Norris; sisters-in-law, Cora Rodning of St. Peter, Marian Mohlin and Edna Stevenson, both of Ogden, Utah; brother-in-law, Don, of of St. Louis Park; stepsister, Florence Schroeder of New Ulm; and other relatives including cousins Charlotte, Richard and Carl Hesse, all of New Ulm.
She was born May 10, 1907, in New Ulm to Anna Rosa (Hesse) and William Roeder. She married Norris Knutson on April 10, 1937. She worked as a florist in New Ulm for many years. They moved to San Diego, Calif. in 1942, where she worked in the retail industry. In 1946, they moved to Oakland and Berkeley before settling in Danville, Calif. in 1950. She was active in the Community Presbyterian Church of Danville, CPC Prime Time Group, Danville Senior Citizens Club, League of Women Voters and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Memorials are preferred to Prime Senior Group or the Deacons Fund at Community Presbyterian Church, 222 W. El Pintado, Danville, Calif. 94526 or the Tony LaRussa Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF), P.O. Box 30215, Walnut Creek, Calif. 94598.

Wallace 'Boots' M. Miller, 64, of Eagle Lake and formerly of New Ulm died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000 at his home.
Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday at Church of the Immaculate Conception Marysburg in Madison Lake with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery, Soldiers Rest Section. Full military graveside honors will be conducted by the New Ulm veterans organizations.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue one hour prior to the time of mass at the church on Friday. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m.Thursday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Miller of Eagle Lake; daughters and son-in-law, Renee DePas and her fiancé Mark Nistor of Pewaukee, Wis., Nina and David Street of Madison Lake, and Bonnie Jacobsen and her husband Garry Betts of Madison Lake; son and daughter -in-law, Joe and Lisa Unander of St. Peter; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters and brothers-in-law, LaVon and Wesley Smith, Marcia White and Linda and Ronald Bolduan, all of New Ulm and Diane and John Maidl of Sauk Rapids; brother, Myron "Mike" Miller of Ettrick, Wis.; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Miller of New Ulm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Sandra Miller in 1945; and brothers, Gerald Miller in 1979 and James Miller in 1989.
He was born Sept. 20, 1936, in New Ulm to Leo P. and Anna (Schmitt) Miller. He attended school at St. Mary's and Holy Trinity in New Ulm. He worked for the Yellow Cab Co. in New Ulm as a dispatcher and later as a cab and bus driver. He enlisted in the United States Army and served from 1959 to 1962. After being discharged he moved to Milwaukee and worked for Sedlet Plumbing and Cost Refractoring.. He moved to Mankato in 1991. He worked part time for Bruender Construction in Mankato, and other various jobs in the Mankato area until his death. He was diagnosed with cancer in September of this year. He married Sharon L. Buness on Sept. 24, 1993, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception Marysburg in Madison Lake. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Marysburg in Madison Lake and Labor Local 113. He was a 27-year member of AA and an early member of the Flying Dutchmen Motorcycle Club of New Ulm.

Verlaine Genz, 61, of Sleepy Eye, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at her home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial at 3 p.m. in Kinkead Cemetery, Alexandria.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye and at the church Friday, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband, Martine of Sleepy Eye; daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Randy Froemming of Barrett and Kristi and Tim Luehmann of Minnetrista; son, Kurt, of Minnetonka; five grandchildren; four brothers and one sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
She was born April 26, 1939, in Belgrade, to Ernest and Marie (Pommerening) Bahe. She graduated from Belgrade High School in 1956. She moved to Minneapolis and worked for Honeywell and Land O'Lakes. She married Martine Genz on April 27, 1963. They moved to Wisconsin, then to Sleepy Eye where they operated a Sears catalog store from 1970 to 1993. She belonged to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Association.

Vivian Wollin, 87, of Mountain Lake, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000, in Mountain Lake.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Mountain Lake, with burial in Mountain Lake Cemetery.
Visitation is one hour before services Friday at the church.
Arrangements are handled by Bjerum Funeral Home, Mountain Lake.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Pat Dorman of Crystal Lake, Ill; Richard and Ealane Wollin of Tacoma, Wash. and Dean of Poulsbo, Wash.; four grandchildren; eight grandchildren; sister, Irene Shaul of St. James; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Esther Bress, Nora Mesch, Gertrude Getting, Verneen French, Goldie Olson and Vera Dorman in infancy; and brothers, Elmer, Merle, Marvin and Marlin Dorman.
She was born Jan. 29, 1913, to Frederick and Louisa (Lager) Dorman near Hartley, Iowa. They moved to Mountain Lake in the 1920s. She did housework for several families in the Mountain Lake area. She married Lester Wollin on Aug. 18, 1935. They moved to New Ulm where she worked at the Kaiserhoff as a waitress and cook. They moved to Chicago in 1952 where she worked as a waitress, hotel housekeeper and factory worker. She also lived in Tacoma, Wash. for several years before moving back to Mountain Lake in 1986.

Marvin Iverson, 72, ofLafayette died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at his home.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran church in Lafayette with burial and full military honors conducted by the Lafayette American Legion Post 300 in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Firle Funeral Home in Lafayette and one hour prior to the service at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Iverson of Lafayette; daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Marlin "Buck" Wendorff, Beverly and Steven Langhoff, Diane and Douglas Durheim, all of Lafayette; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin and Donna Mae Iverson of Buhl, S.D., Morris and Vicki Iverson of Litchfield, Denis Iverson of New Ulm; sisters, Ruth and Stan Radke of Annaheim, Calif., Gretchen Wollin of Litchfield; brothers-in-law, Claus Evers of Sleepy Eye, Mary Ann and Norbert Ranweiler of Gibbon and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Pete, Hans; and sisters, Gladys, Lillian, Lulu, Clarice and Helen; and his parents.
He was born July 1, 1928, in Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, to Ingval and Dina (Kagebine) Iverson. He grew up on the family farm and attended District 48 and New Ulm High School. He married Margaret Evers on March 16, 1946, at the former Friedens Evangelical and Reform Church in New Ulm. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1946 and after his honorable discharge in 1948 he returned to Minnesota. The couple lived in Sleepy Eye and moved to Lafayette in 1956 where they owned and operated the Iverson's Cafe until 1980. He was the mayor of Lafayette from 1974 to 1976. He also worked for the Lafayette Good Samaritans as a maintenance supervisor for 13 years until he retired in 1993. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Lafayette and American Legion Post No. 300.

John Luehring, 86, of Glencoe, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Glencoe Regional Health Services Long Term Care Unit.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Glencoe, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel, Glencoe.
He is survived by his wife, Berdina; son, Wayne of Brownton; daughters, Arlys Harms and husband Dennis of Gibbon, and Sandra Bruchschen of Madeira Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and aunt Minnie Weller of Fairfax.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Irma Schwecke.
He was born Jan. 30, 1914, in Moltke Township. Sibley County, to Herman and Anna (Weller) Luehring. He attended St. Peter Lutheran School. He married Berdina E. Sell on April 16, 1937, in Stewart. They farmed in Moltke Township until 1966, when they retired and moved to Glencoe. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and First Lutheran Church.

Myron James Parker, 75, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2000 in Palm Desert, Calif.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Church of Christ in Lamberton with burial in the Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation is one hour before services at the church.
Sturm Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his children, Richard Parker of Dallas, Tex., Terry Parker of La Quinta, Calif., Kathy Asher of Palm Desert, Calif., Chris Parker of Desert Hot Springs, Calif. and Jody Parker of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Warren Parker and sister, Lorraine Snyder.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Doris Ann Parker; brothers, Charles and Donald Parker ; and sisters, Maxine Bisher and Orel Keith.
He was born June 16, 1925, to Charles and Gertrude Parker in Lamberton.
He was a paratrooper in World War II. He worked as meat cutter in Minnesota and California.

John J. Zamzow, 66, of Morgan, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at Redwood Falls Hospital.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Morgan with burial in the Zion Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in rural Morgan.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the Nelson Funeral Home in Morgan and one hour before services Saturday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Morgan; children, Stacy DeVries and husband Alan of Willmar and Jeff Zamzow and wife Lisa of Byron; six grandchildren; sisters; Fern Kitzman of LeMars, Iowa, Inez Schons and husband Linus of Springfield and Shirley Smetak and husband Lyle of Redwood Falls; and brothers, Oliver Zamzow and wife Joyce of Sleepy Eye and Denver Zamzow and wife Mary Ann of Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Delta, Lester and Marlin.
He was born on Nov. 9, 1933, in Three Lakes Township, Redwood County, Minnesota, to John and Gertrude (Wefers) Zamzow. He attended District 107 schools. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
On June 24, 1961, he married Dorothy Masching at Our Savior's Church in Belview, They lived in the Morgan community. He drove a ready- mix truck for Redwood Concrete and S & S Concrete of Redwood Falls. In 1995 he retired and then drove truck in the summers for Prescott Sanitation of Morton. He was a member of the Zion Ev. Lutheran Church.

Ralph Campbell, 61, of Madelia, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at his home in Madelia.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia, with burial with military honors in Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday and at the funeral home Monday an hour prior to the service.
He is survived by sisters, Audrey Nelson of Aitkin and Sharon Lentz of Rochester; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Sharon and Gordon and Shirley, all of Clinton, Iowa, and Clinton and Ingrid of Sarasota, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Alvin Lang of LaSalle; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Leona and Lois.
He was born Sept. 18, 1939 in Good Thunder to Claude and Effie (Rollings) Campbell. He grew up in the Garden City and Vernon Center areas and attended school there. He served in the U.S. Navy until 1979. He attended South Central Technical School in Mankato and worked at Tony Downs Foods in Madelia and the Madelia American Legion Club before retiring. He belonged to the Madelia American Legion.

Armin J. Coulter, 75, of Lamberton, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Lamberton, with burial in Lamberton Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home, Lamberton and at the church Monday, an hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his wife Inez of Lamberton; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Jim Imker of Lamberton; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Paula of Savage; five grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Milo Wetter of Lamberton.
He was born April 25, 1925 in Waterberry Township, Redwood County, to George and Meta (Jaeger) Coulter. He attended Lamberton Public School and farmed with his father. He served with the U.S. Army in Japan following World War II, before returning to farm near Lamberton. He married Inez Henning on Feb. 13, 1950, in Lamberton. He belonged to the United Methodist Church, was a former American Legion commander and served on the Redwood County County Council for the American Legion. He belonged to the Lamberton Lions, school board and church board.

Marjorie F. Johnson, 79, of Brooklyn Center, formerly of Bernadotte, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in Robbinsdale.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Lutheran Church of the Triune God, 6000 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center, with burial in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Arrangements are with Evans-Nordby Funeral Home of Brooklyn Center.
Survivors include her husband, Lavern; children Dennis and Shelly of Minnetonka, Deanna and Dennis Sjogren of Lafayette and Wayne Johnson of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Leona and Amos Hayes.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Elaine Malmberg.
She was born June 5, 1921 at Bernadotte to Edwin and Florence Pierson.

Viola Kopischke, 72, of Morgan, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at the Redwood Area Hospital.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Morgan, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday with a parish scripture and sharing service at 7:30 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Home, Morgan; and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Dale of Morgan; children, Randy and Lu of Waukesha, Wis. Rory and Jean of Comfrey, Roxane and Steve Koster of Round Lake, Robin and Roger Otto of Chetek, Wis., Ron and Judy of Fairmont and Rod and Maggie of Overland Park, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; sisters, Loretta Jenniges of Wabasso, Evie Clancy of Albert Lea, Jeanie and Glenn Blomeke of Morgan, Nonnie and Jim Andre of Roseville; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Jan Uhlenkamp of New Ulm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ricky; and two sisters, Bernice Carlson and Rosella Uhlenkamp.
She was born March 9, 1928 in Brookville Township, Redwood County, to Henry and Anna (Lohaus) Uhlenkamp. She attended rural District 34, St. Michael's School and graduate from Morgan Public School in 1946. She married Dale Kopischke on Aug. 20, 1949 in Morgan. They lived in Morgan until 1951 when they moved to a farm in Sherman Township. They retired in 1994 and moved to Morgan. She worked part-time at the Franklin Health Care Center and Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan. She belonged to St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Church Council and was a Eucharist Minister. She was also a 4-H leader and belonged to the Chatter Club and Card Club.

Robert Maas, 67, of St. Peter, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at the St. Peter Community Hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, St. Peter, with burial at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter, with military honors by the St. Peter Honor Guard.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Sunday at the church with a Knight of Columbus Rosary at 2:30 p.m. and parish prayer service at 6 p.m., and at the church Monday, one hour prior to the service.
St. Peter Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Jan. 25, 1933 in Kasota to Arthur and Dorothy (Kaveney) Maas. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He married Betty Kraus on April 24, 1954 in New Ulm. They lived in St. Peter where he was a plant supervisor for Babcock Stone Company in Kasota where he helped develop precast stone panels for building construction. He later managed the gravel division of North Star Concrete and worked at Unimen and the Leo Hoffman Center in St. Peter.
He belonged to the Church of St. Peter, Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 1220 and American Legion Post 37, serving as commander of each. He also helped organize the Post 37 Chapter of the Sons of the American Legion. He did volunteer work at the Veteran's Hospital in Minneapolis. He was a recycling advocate, recycling over three million pounds of glass.

Larry Mayer, 54, of Wadena, formerly of New Ulm and Redwood Falls, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2000.
Services were held Oct. 23 at St. John Lutheran Church, Wadena, with burial in the Wadena Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Julayne of Wadena; parents, Carl and Doris of Redwood Falls; sons and daughter-in-law, Jason and Lori of Kandiyohi and Lance of Indus; a brother, Garwood of Williamsburg, Iowa; a sister, Candy Reiner of Arizona; father and mother-in-law, Oliver and Ethel Leitzke of Hustisford, Wis. and one grandchild.
He was born Aug. 24, 1946 to Carl and Doris (Knodel) Mayer in Bismarck, N.D. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1966-70. He worked at Loretto Hospital and the Hy-Vee Food Store after he came home from Vietnam. He married Julayne Leitzke Aug. 28, 1971 in Hustisford, Wis. He was a radiology technologist at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena. He also belonged to the Minnesota State High School League Umpires Association, VFW, American Legion and the American Waterfowl Association.

Bertha Nohrenberg, 87, of Lamberton and formerly of Sanborn and Appleton, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at Valley View Manor, Lamberton.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sanborn, with burial in Terrace Lawn Memory Garden, Montevideo.
Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Sturm Funeral Home of Lamberton is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two sisters, Emily Munstermann of Appleton and Ida Steinke of Madison; special friends Lloyd and Lavon Waterman of Austin and Willis and Joan Wendland of Balaton; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ewald in 1976; a sister, Amanda Johnson; and a brother, Arthur Koosmann.
She was born Jan. 15, 1913 in Appleton to Henry and Clara (Mumme) Koosmann. She married married Ewald Nohrenberg in Appleton on Feb. 7, 1934. They lived near Dawson. She moved to Sanborn in 1983 and Lamberton in 1994. She belonged to Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sanborn.
