Martin Krentz, 81, of Walnut Grove, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at his home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Walnut Grove, with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Jacobson Funeral Home, Walnut Grove and at the church Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.

Mark L. Weymann, 30, of 1961 Howard Drive in North Mankato, formerly of New Ulm, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at his home from complications of cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in New Ulm Catholic Cemetery, New Ulm. Visitation will be 3 - 9 p.m. Monday and will continue from 7:30 until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, New Ulm.
There will be a rosary by the Catholic Aid Society at 6:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m., both Monday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Weymann of North Mankato; daughter, Hailey, 2 years; a son, Carter, 3 months; parents, Linus and Marcella "Marcee" Weymann of New Ulm; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eileen and Paul Hoffman of Hanska; grandmother Lorraine Altman of New Ulm; a sister, Debra Weymann of New Ulm; a sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Richard Hoffmann of New Ulm; a niece, Tiffany Hoffmann; nephews, Christopher Weymann and Jamie Hoffmann; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Robin and Kathie Hoffman of St. Francis, Amy and Dave Hengel, Jeff and Amy Hoffman, Carl Hoffman all of Sleepy Eye, Jenny Hoffman of Victoria, and Cathy Hoffman of New Ulm; and by aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Amelia Weymann, Russell Schnobrich, and Arthur Altman.
He was born June 5, 1970, in New Ulm to Linus and Marcella "Marcee" (Schnobrich) Weymann. He attended Catholic school in New Ulm and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1988. After graduation he attended Mankato Vo-Tech in Mankato for two years. On May 20, 1995 he married Becky Hoffman at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. They lived in Las Vegas, Nev., for two years while working for a Taylor Corporation Company, before being transferred to Mankato, where they have lived since. For the past 10 years he has worked in the computer field with Taylor Corporation.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato, a past member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm; and also was a current member of the Catholic Aid Society.

Gertrude E. Bullert, 92, of Arlington, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at Arlington Good Samaritan Center.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church, Arlington, with burial at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Buffalo Lake, at 1:30 p.m.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Fenske Funeral Home, Arlington, and at the church Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband, Emil of Arlington; daughter and sons-in-law, Ramona and Glenn Meyer of Arlington, and David Petersen of Buffalo Lake; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Judy Bullert of Boulder, Colo.; sister, Irene Brumm of Rochester; brother and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Bea Koester of Hutchinson, Alice Koester of Gaylord and Inez Koester of Green Isle; brother-in-law, Arthur Schuette of Glencoe; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marilyn Petersen; sisters, Viola Clark, Huilda Schuette and Elsie Howe; and brothers-in-law, Dietrich, Edwin, Ernest, and Melvin Koester.
She was born Feb. 1, 1908, in New Auburn Township, to Dietrich and Wilhelmine Schauer Koester. She attended rural schools. She married Emil Bullert on April 30, 1930 in Glencoe. They farmed in Green Isle Township until 1945 when they moved to Glencoe. They later bought a hardware store in Buffalo Lake and moved there. They retired in 1974 and moved to Arlington in 1995. She belonged to the Ladies Aid & Bible Study Group at Zion Lutheran Church.

Robert T. Maas, 67, of St. Peter, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at St. Peter Community Hospital.
Services are 0 a.m. today at First Lutheran Catholic Church, St. Peter, with burial at Calvary Cemetery, St. Peter, with military honors by the St. Peter Honor Guard.
Visitation is one hour before the services today at the church.
St. Peter Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Teresa and Michael and Shelly, both of St. Peter; daughters and sons-in-law, Tamarra and Don Ceminsky of Mankato and Emma and Doug Voit of Cleveland; nine grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Marleen of St. Peter; sister, Mary Menke of St. Peter; sister-in-law, Evelyn Gunderson of St. Peter; brother-in-law, Ken Kraus of New Ulm; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard.
He was born Jan. 25, 1933, in Kasota to Arthur and Dorothy (Kaveney) Maas. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He married Betty Kraus on April 24, 1954 in New Ulm. They lived in St. Peter where he was a plant supervisor for Babcock Stone Company in Kasota where he helped develop precast stone panels for building construction. He later managed the gravel division of North Star Concrete and worked at Unimen and the Leo Hoffman Center in St. Peter. He belonged to the Church of St. Peter, Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 1220 and American Legion Post 37, serving as commander of each. He also helped organize the Post 37 Chapter of the Sons of the American Legion. He did volunteer work at the Veterans Hospital in Minneapolis.

Martha Alwin, 94, of New Ulm, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, at Oak Hills Living Center, New Ulm.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church, New Ulm, with burial in the City cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church.
Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm, is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by sons, Valgene and wife Margaret of Watertown, S.D., Vinson and wife Nancy of Flemington, N.J., and Allen and wife Shirley of Lakeville; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elsie Meyer of Starbuck, and Marie Patchin and husband David of Santa Rosa, Calif.; sister-in-law, Grace Haack of Grey Eagle; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Walter, Otto, Helmut, Arthur, Carl, and Luther; and sisters Hannah and Louise.
She was born March 4, 1906, in Balaton, to William and Sophie (Klukas) Haack. She moved to New Ulm in the 1920s and worked as a housekeeper for the Reineke family at the Lind House. She married Chester Alwin on Nov. 25, 1931 in Hastings. They lived in New Ulm, where she worked as a clerk at Woolworth's. She moved to Oak Hills Living Center in 1997.

Marian H. Davis, 83, of Beaverton, Oregon and formerly of New Ulm, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at the Beaverton Rehabilitation Center.
Mass of Christian burial is 10 a.m. Thursday the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. and St. Anne's Court of the National Catholic Society of Foresters will pray the rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gerard and Marlys Davis of Beaverton, Ore.; grandson, Dalton Davis of Beaverton, Ore.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Werner Brown of Paris, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Delores Schnobrich and Margaret Harmening; and by a brother, Lawrence Sprenger.
She was born June 2, 1917, in New Ulm to Leo A. and Magdeline (Marso) Sprenger.
She was a graduate of Holy Trinity High School in New Ulm. She worked at the National Biscuit Company in Denver, Col. for ten years. She returned to New Ulm and worked for the New Ulm Telephone Company as a telephone operator. She also worked as a rug weaver out of her home. She moved to Beaverton, Ore., in February 2000 to live with her son Gerard. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, St. Anne's Court of the National Catholic Society of Foresters.

Julie Anne Goldsmith, 33, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at her home of cancer.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Word of Life Outreach Center in Hutchinson with burial in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Dobratz-Hantge Chapel in Hutchinson and one hour prior to the service at church.

Myron E. Kandt, 68, of South St. Paul, formerly of Buffalo Lake, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2000, of cancer.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Luther Memorial Church, 315 15th Ave. North, South St. Paul, with burial in the General Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation us 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at English-Meeker & Kandt Funeral Home, 140 8th Ave. North, South St. Paul, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church Wednesday.
Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society, Neighbors Inc., or Luther Memorial Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; son Jeff and wife Char of Inver Grove Heights; daughter Krista of Lompoc, Calif.; two grandchildren; sister, Virginia Raitz of Hector; brother Russell and wife LaVonne of Buffalo Lake; nieces; nephews; relatives; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Clara Kandt.
He graduated from Buffalo Lake High School in 1949. He was owner and director of English-Meeker and Kandt Funeral Home, South St. Paul. He was a member of Minnesota Funeral Directors Association, VFW Post 295, Mizpah Lodge 191 AF & AM, and Southview Country Club.

Inga Olson, 94, of Hanska, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at Luther Memorial Home, Madelia.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lake Hanska Lutheran Church, rural Hanska, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Firle Funeral Home, Hanska, and one hour prior to services at the church.
She is survived by sons, Clayton and wife Shirley, and Donald and wife Mae, all of Hanska; daughter, Lois Hopkins and husband Vernon of Salina, Kansas; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a niece.
She was preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Dora Olson; daughter-in-law, Ethel Olson; and sisters, Olena Overlie and Bertha Friedrich.
She was born June 12, 1906, in Heron Lake, to Iver and Marie (Morken) Bryggen. She attended school in Madison. She married Carl Olson on Dec. 22, 1928 in rural Hanska. They lived in Linden Township, Brown County, and later in Lake Hanska Township. They farmed. She moved to Hanska, where she lived until 1997, when she moved to Luther Memorial Home. She was a member of Lake Hanska Lutheran Church and the Lake Hanska ALCW.

Marian Argodale, 79, died Nov. 2, 2000, in Tulsa.
Services are today at Christ the King Church, Tulsa, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Fitzgerald Funeral Service handled arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her husband Constantine "Gus" Argodale; brother, James Ubl; and her parents.
She is survived by children, Connie LeVando, Mary Isaac and husband Dick, Bob Argodale, Martha Ortiz and husband Vic, Kris Smith and husband Dan, Therese McMahan, Joe Argodale, Ann Argodale, Rita Lanham and husband Tommy; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
She was born on April 26, 1921, in New Ulm, to Robert and Anna Ubl. She was a former member of St. Mary's parish. She attended Cathedral High School. She was a member of Christ the King Church of Tulsa, the "Tuesday Club" and Tulsa Miniatures Association.

Julie Goldsmith, 33, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at he home of cancer.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the Word of Life Outreach Center in Hutchinson, with burial in Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff Goldsmith of Hutchinson; daughter, Kathryn Goldsmith of Hutchinson; father, the Rev. Ronald Freimark of Sleepy Eye; sister, Joy Henke and her husband Fred of Woodbury; mother-in-law, Bernice Goldsmith of Plymouth; sister-in-law, Jan Bloom and her husband Gary of Cokato; brother-in-law, Jay Goldsmith and his wife Diane of Maple Grove; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lorayne Freimark; grandparents, John Freimark, Edwin and Ruth Stier; and father-in-law, E.V. (Goldy) Goldsmith.
She was born Feb. 22, 1967, in Blue Island, Ill., to Ronald and Lorayne (Stier) Freimark. She graduated from Sleepy Eye High School in 1985. She graduated from the Canby Technical Institute with a dental assisting certificate in 1986. She married Jeff Goldsmith on Sept. 14, 1991, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. They lived in Hutchinson. She worked as a dental assistant in the Hutchinson area. She taught piano to more than 50 students.

Marlin H. 'Rosey' Rodewald, 68, of Minneapolis and formerly of New Ulm died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, at University Good Samaritan Center in Minneapolis.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Joseph Simon of Redwood Falls, and Jannell and Glenn Brown of Maple Grove; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Lois Rodewald of Little Falls, Ronald and Joyce Rodewald of New Ulm, Gary Rodewald of Hastings, and Keith and Regina Rodewald of Apple Valley; 14 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and a sister, Bernice Klinkner of Hibbing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann in 1985; and brothers Edwin "Eddie" Rodewald and Fred "Fritz" Rodewald.
He was born Aug. 9, 1932, in New Ulm to Fred and Catherine (Preisinger) Rodewald. He attended Holy Trinity School in New Ulm. He married Mary Ann Sellner on June 6, 1955, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. They lived in New Ulm where he worked for city street department. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1996, he moved to the University Good Samaritan Center in Minneapolis. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm and a past member of the New Ulm Baseball Association.

John Strenge, 69, of St. James, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2000, in St. James.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Mennonite Church, Butterfield, with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Sturm Funeral Home, St. James, and will continue one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Loris; daughter, Darla and husband Jeff Frampton of Richfield; son, Charles and friend Cheryl Nelson of Heron Lake; sisters, Josephine and husband Tony Penner of Windom, Evangeline Harder of Mountain Lake, and Florence and husband Don Snook of Ironton; brothers, Dick and wife Norma of New Ulm, Calvin of Windom, and Lawrence and wife Grace of Odin; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by daughters, Debra Kay and Shari Lynn; parents; sisters, Dena Carlson, Margaret Rosenberg, Gretchen Huebsch, and Anna Belle Olson; and brothers, George and Eilert.
He was born March 13, 1931, in Mountain Lake Township, Cottonwood County, to Eilert and Gerdena (Siefkes) Strenge. He attended District 135 school, Jackson County, and worked on the family farm. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Camp Rucker and Fort Hood. He worked for Henry J. Brown Plumbing, Mountain Lake, and Fauske Mechanical, Worthington. He married Loris Fisk on June 5, 1954, in Mountain Lake. They lived in Pierre and Chamberlin, S.D., while he worked on the Oahe and Big Bend Dam projects. They farmed north of Butterfield from 1962 to 1973. He owned and operated J & C Plumbing from 1974 to 1980. He worked at Schwickert's, Mankato, until retiring in 1998. He was a member of Mountain Lake American Legion.

Ervin Schultz, 69, of Faribault, died on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at his home.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Berea Evangelical Lutheran Church, Inver Grove Heights, with burial at the Sanborn City Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday at Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault and at the church Saturday, one hour prior to the service. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jean Schultz of Blaine; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jerry Peckham of Corning, Iowa; five grandchildren; four children, Eileen Radtke of Lamberton, Elmer and Lil of Lamberton, Mel and Donna of Bloomington and Gladys, Ted Darkow of Lamberton and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three children, Debra, Dean and Karen; and an infant brother, Emery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Faribault Area Hospice, the Berea Lutheran Church, Inver Grove Heights, or the donor's choice.
He was born July 10, 1931, to George and Bertha (Hoffman) Schultz in Sanborn. He married Norma Anderson on Dec. 27, 1953, in Springfield. He graduated from Sanborn High School and attended Texas A&M University and Mankato State University. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He was an industrial arts teacher and vocational supervisor at Lamberton Public School and the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf.
