Travis Brueggemeier, 20, of New Prague, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000, at Riverwood Health Care Center, Aitkin.
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lanesburgh, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Gruzek Funeral Home, New Prague, and will continue one hour prior to services Sunday at the church.
He is survived by his parents; brothers, Troy of Minneapolis and Jason of New Prague; sister Brittany of New Prague; grandparents, Martin and Violet (Brockoff) Brueggemeier, and Leslie and Elvera (Schilling) Winter, all of Arlington; aunts and uncles.
He was born Jan. 14, 1980, in New Prague to Virgil and Katherine (Winter) Brueggemeier. He attended school in New Prague. He worked at North Valley Paving as a heavy equipment operator.

Lyle Gulden, 37, of 1718 Southridge Road in New Ulm died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at the home of his sons in Litchfield.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Searles with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 3- 8 p.m. today and continues from 7:30-10 a.m. Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his sons, Ryan Robert Gulden and Matthew John Gulden both of Litchfield; mother, Lorraine Gulden of New Ulm; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose Dolly of New Ulm and Thomas Dolly of Springfield, Karen and Dave Christiansen, Gayle and Thomas Schaefer, twin sister Lois and Michael Bode, all of New Ulm, Carla and Junior Watkins of Willard, Wis.; brothers and sisters-in-law Vern and Mary Gulden and Marvin and Denise Gulden all of Eau Claire, Wis., Paul and Nancy Gulden of Placentia, Calif., Jeff and Lisa Gulden of New Ulm, special friends Mary and Mark Petsche and Cheryl and Sarah Hansen, ten nieces and nephews; one great-niece and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Gulden on April 14, 1985.
He was born Jan. 23, 1963, in New Ulm to James and Lorraine (Waibel) Gulden. In 1981 he graduated from New Ulm High School and started working for the Hy-Vee Foods in New Ulm in the produce department. For the next ten years he worked for Hy-Vee at various locations in Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska. He then worked for Fleming Foods in Laurens, Iowa for six years; and then at Joyce's Food Store in Emettsburg, Iowa, where he was the store manager. Since Jan, 5, 1998, he had worked as a produce counselor with the Nash Finch Company in t. Cloud. He was diagnosed with cancer in April of 1999.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to either the American Cancer Society or to the Litchfield Area Hospice.

Lawrence J. Hippert, 65, of Rt. 5, New Ulm died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday at Minnesota Valley Funeral in New Ulm.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Hippert of rural New Ulm; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Larry Hulsebus of Eden Prairie; sons and daughters-in-law, Brad and Dona Hippert of Portland, Ore., Bruce and Mary Hippert of rural New Ulm and Mike Hippert of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Nathan and Tyler Hippert of New Ulm and Aaron and Kayla Hulsebus of Eden Prairie; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Raymond Bode of Courtland, Doris and Harold Macho of Mankato, Alice and Delbert Lambrecht of New Ulm, and Rosalie and Jeff Butcher of Louisville, Ky.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Waldo and Lucy Hippert of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Raymond and Hildreth Hippert of Waconia, and Donald and Shirley Hippert of Owatonna; mother-in-law, Orie Dalueg of New Ulm; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Mary Dalueg of New Ulm; and by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clifford Hippert, Harvey Hippert and Warren Hippert; sisters-in-law, Helen Hippert, Catherine Hippert and Bernice Hippert.
He was born Sept. 22, 1935, in New Ulm to Lawrence and Elsie (Zimmerman) Hippert. He was a graduate of New Ulm High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1953 - 1956 and was in the Marine Reserves until 1961. He married Diane Dalueg on Nov. 15, 1958 at the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. He founded the Tri-State Grease and Tallow Company in New Ulm and had been the manager and owner for 34 years.
He was a member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm and the Seifert-Bianchi Legion Post 132 in New Ulm.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be given to the St. Paul's Parish Center, Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School or donor's choice.

Robert Midtbruget, 76, of North Mankato, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Messiah Lutheran Church, North Mankato, with burial in Glenwood Cemetery, with military honors provided by American Legion Post 11.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Mankato Mortuary, and will continue one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Memorials are preferred to Messiah Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Melanie and husband James Peirce of Madison Lake, Melissa and husband Rick Tellijohn of North Mankato; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Marvis Anderson of New Ulm; nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Phil Ahlness of Hanska; and sisters-in-law, Cathryn and husband L.D. Patterson of Madison Lake, Dorothy and husband Donald Fenske of Rochester, and Lois Ahlness of Hanska.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Markle "Middy"; and a sister.
He was born Jan. 7, 1924, in Hanska, to Severin and Caroline (Hugget) Midtbruget. He graduated rom Hanska High School. He entered the United States Navy on March 5, 1943 and served during World War II as a Pharmacist's Mate 2nd Class. He was honorably discharged on April 2, 1946. He married Mary Jane Ahlness on May 9, 1948, in Hanska. He worked with his father in the produce business, managed Legion Lanes Bowling Alley in Hanska, and worked at Kraft Foods. He had been a substitute rural mail carrier prior to taking a job as city letter carrier. He retired from the Postal Service in 1986, after 32 years. He was a charter member of Messiah Lutheran Church, North Mankato, and a member of American Legion Post 365, Hanska, and the AKC Kennel Club.

Dorothy (Anderson) Kiser, former second-grade teacher at Jefferson grade school and principal at Washington grade school in New Ulm from 1950 to 1972, died on Nov. 2, 2000 at the Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji.
A memorial service will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm on Nov. 18 at 11 a.m.
The family requests that memorials be made to Dorothy Anderson Scholarship fund.
She is survived by her son, John Louis Anderson, and his wife, Adaire Peterson, of Minneapolis, sisters-in-law, Ethel Anderson, Lois Andrews, Agnette Oas and Penny Oas, step-daughters Bonnie Wright and Donna Peterson, six nieces, eight nephews, three step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands Ralph W. Anderson and George Kiser, brothers Lester Oas and Warren Oas.
Born Dorothy Oas in Blackduck, Minn. to John and Margaret Oas, Kiser received her teaching degree from Bemidji State University in 1938. During WWII, Kiser founded and ran nursery school for wartime factory workers in south Minneapolis, and later taught at Mentor, Mound, Franklin and Lafayette.
In 1946, she married Ralph W. Anderson and moved to New Ulm, where she taught second and third grades at the former Washington grade school and Jefferson grade school. She served as principal at Washington grade school and as assistant principal at Jefferson.
After the death of her first husband, she was remarried to George Kiser. They moved to Iowa, where she lived until his death in 1990.
Dorothy (Anderson) Kiser was a charter member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm and served on the Smorgasbord committee for many years.
A memorial service will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm on Nov. 18 at 11 a.m.
The family requests that memorials be made to Dorothy Anderson Scholarship fund.

Hazel Rosnau, 78, of Winthrop, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000 at Olivia Healthcare Center.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Evangelical Covenant Church, Winthrop, with burial in the city cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30-11 a.m. Monday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Winthrop, and will continue one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
She is survived by her husband Edward of Hutchinson; a son Reuben and wife Shirley of Cook; a daughter, Bev Nelson and husband Ron of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was born Sept. 21, 1922 in Winthrop, to Emil and Mabel (Johnson) Anderson. She grew up in Winthrop, where she attended school. She graduated in 1941 from the Minnehaha Academy, Minneapolis. She married Edward Rosnau on March 8, 1944 in Winthrop. They lived and farmed in Cornish Township, Sibley County. They retired in the mid-1980s and continued living on the farm site until moving to Winthrop in the late 1980s. They later moved to Burns Manor Nursing Home, Hutchinson. She was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church.

Lillian E. Knowles, 89, of Minneapolis, formerly of Morgan died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000 at Redeemer Residence, Minneapolis.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Morgan, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Morgan.
She is survived by her children, Norman, Gary, Gail, and Janet; nine grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband B. Norman.
Memorials are preferred to Mount Hope Cemetery, Eden Township, Brown County, C/O Elmer Zemple, Morgan, MN 56266.

Marion Ranweiler, 82, of 413 S. Highland Ave., in New Ulm died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at the New Ulm Medical Center.
Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Ranweiler of New Ulm; daughter and son-in-law Helene and Bruce Waage of Billings, Mont.; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Gayle Ranweiler of New Ulm; grandchildren, Erin and Kate Waage, Sara and Beth Ranweiler; brother, Bob Kurth of New Ulm; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Arlene and Kay Christiansen, Mildred and Chet Nelson all of New Ulm; sister-in-law, Marie Ranweiler of New Ulm; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Flo Allison and Jo Cordes; and a brother Clarence Kurth.
She was born Aug. 16, 1918, in New Ulm to Nick and Lena (Macho) Kurth. She attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from New Ulm High School. On Feb. 19, 1946, she married Herbert Ranweiler at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. She was an active member in St. Mary's Catholic Church, a member of the CCW, Hospital Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary.
The family prefers memorials to New Ulm Area Catholic Schools (NUACS) or St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Donald Boerner, 72, of Gaylord, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at Minnesota Veteran Home, Minneapolis.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and continues 7:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday at Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord and also ne hour before services at the church.
Arrangements are handled by Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord.

Gracie Mays, 78, of Michigan, City, Inc., died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte, Ind.
A private family service was held.
Haverstock Funeral Home, LaPorte, was in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband Lewis; daughter Annabell Wilm of Michigan City; sister Margie Guth of New Ulm; and grandsons, Che and Nico Lopez of Kalamazoo, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She was born Dec. 28, 1921, in Minneapolis, to Joseph and Annabell (McCarren) Stevens. She married Lewis Mays on Sept. 7, 1948 in Elko, Nev.

Donald Boerner, 72, of Gaylord, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at the Minnesota Veterans Home, Minneapolis.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gaylord, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday at Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord, and at the church Thursday, one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Vicki of Gaylord, Fred and Marilyn of Los Angeles; daughters and sons-in-law, Sara and Matthew Bowers of Minneapolis, Amy and Paul Bakke of Lake Mary, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth of Champlain, Bob and Carol of Texas, Keith and Carol of Moorhead; stepchildren, Lori Serbus of Mankato, Mark and Patty Pomplun of Henderson, Lisa and John Mans of Gaylord, Ricky Pomplun of Winthrop and many nieces and nephews; five grandchildren, seven stepgrandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, LaVerna.
He was born Sept. 11, 1928, in Arlington to Harold and Alma (Muskop) Boerner. He married Audrey Glander in 1949 and Marilyn Pomplun Tessmer in 1977. He attended grade school in New Auburn and graduated from Glencoe High School in 1945. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict, from 1946-51. He worked for Fred Glander for many years and owned and operated Boerner Tiling Co. from 1960-89. He belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord and New Auburn VFW Post 7266. He had lived at the Minnesota Veterans Home since 1996.

Ardell (Mrs. Ray) Jensen, 70, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood Falls.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls with burial in the Morton City Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m.Wednesday and 8:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home and continues at the church one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond of Redwood Fall; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Karen Jensen of Northfield, Keith and Susan Jensen of Columbia, Mo., Kim and Geri of Dixon, Ill., and Jeff and Stacy of Lake Crystal; 13 grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Lyle and Joyce Witte; sister and brother-in-law, Harriett and Gary Cornwell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joe and Lois Jensen of New Hope.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
She was born Dec. 13, 1929, in Norfolk Township, Renville County, to Raymond and Bernice (Block) Witte. She attended District 19 elementary school and she graduated from Morton High School in 1947. She graduated from St. Cloud School of Beauty College in September of 1948.
She married Raymond Jensen on Nov. 25, 1948, at Zion Lutheran Church in Morton. They lived in Redwood Falls. She was a hairdresser for 43 years, owning and operating Miladys Beauty Shop for 20 years and retiring in 1991.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Harold 'Brady' Bieraugel, 84, of 715 S. German St., in New Ulm died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Friday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Military rites will be conducted at the funeral home by the New Ulm veterans organizations.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. until time of service Friday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home. There will be a prayer service at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Bob"and Nancy Bieraugel of Hudson,Wis.; grandsons, John and David Bieraugel both of Hudson, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cleo Bieraugel on Nov. 26, 1989; son, Thomas on April 7, 1969; sisters Elsie and Hildegard, and a sister Anna in infancy; and a brother, Edwin.
He was born June 2, 1916, in Lafayette to William and Anna (Gruber) Bieraugel. He attended Lafayette schools and the University of Missouri. He served in the United States Army from May 28, 1941, until January 3, 1946. He served in the Pacific Area during World War II. He was commissioner on the battlefield and was wounded two times. He received three purple hearts, two bronze stars, and one silver star. On Oct. 19, 1946, he married Cleo Marti in New Ulm. He worked as a machinist for McCleary Auto in New Ulm until retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League, Pheasants Forever, Duck Unlimited, Rescue Squad, County Parks Commission, Lost Dog and Fox Hunters Club, Turner Hall, National Resources Award, America Legion Post 132, (DAV) Disabled American Veterans, VFW Post 1648, National Order of the Purple Heart, and National Order of the Battlefield Commission.
