John Sandmeyer, 62, of Rochester, died Dec. 27, 2000, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, St. James.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-10 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home, St. James.
There will be a Christian Mothers Rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He is survived by wife, Darlene of Rochester; daughter, Laura Sandmeyer of Jackson; sons, Bryan and wife Robyn Sandmeyer of Rochester, Mike Sandmeyer of Rockford, Iowa, Dennis Sandmeyer of Elgin;, Alan Sandmeyer of Flagstaff, Ariz; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Alice Sandmeyer of St. James, James and Florine Sandmeyer of Mankato, Richard and Pat Sandmeyer of Chatham, Va., Clayton and Darlene Sandmeyer of Rapidan; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Wendel Lorentz of Mankato; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents; brother, Charles; infant brother, George; infant sister, Shirley; an infant grandson, Mathew; three nephews; and two nieces.
He was born Oct. 14, 1938, to George and Elvina (Chalin) Sandmeyer in St. James.
He graduated from St. James High School.
He worked in the plumbing and heating business; and as a sheet metalist in construction.

Elaine Pinske, 80, of Arlington, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Arlington Municipal Hospital.
Services are 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Arlington, with burial in Arlington Public Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Fenske Funeral Home, Arlington, and at the church Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Faye of Arlington, Dave and Pam of North Mankato; daughter-in-law, Carol Pinske of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Marie Hebeisen and Joan Pinske of Arlington and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, James; six brothers; and one sister.
She was born Nov. 24, 1920, to John and Anna (Spiering) Kruger in Gaylord.
She graduated from Gaylord High School in 1938.
She attended Mankato Teachers College.
She worked at Dayton's and the Sibley County Court House.
She married LeRoy Pinske on April 13, 1946, in Arlington.
She assisted her husband in the real estate and auction business in Arlington for 40 years.
She taught religion at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Linda Raddatz, 86, of Belle Plaine, formerly of Redwood Falls, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at Belle Plaine Lutheran Home.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls, with burial in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Monday at Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and at the church Tuesday, one hour prior to the service.
She is survived by a sister, Ellen Spalding, of San Jose, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Minnie of Burnsville; 12 nieces and nephews; 26 great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Edna Hinz; and a great-nephew Philip Gosling.
She was born June 22, 1914, to Herman and Wilhelmine (Rossow) Raddatz in New Avon Township, Redwood County, Minnesota. She attended Redwood Falls area schools.
She received nurse's training at Miller Hospital, Minneapolis.
She worked at the Morris Hospital, Union Hospital of New Ulm and Minnesota Soldiers Homes in Minneapolis.
She also cared for her invalid mother for 11 years and worked at the Redwood Falls Hospital for 20 years until retiring in 1976.
She lived in Redwood Falls until 1997 when she moved to the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine. She was a life-long member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls.

Leon Theissen, 87, of Hillcrest Health Care Center, formerly of St. Peter, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital.
Funeral services will be private.
Visitation will be 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at Landkamer Johnson Boman Funeral Home.

Arlette Pederson, 77, of Gaylord, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at Gaylord Lakeview Home.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until services Saturday at the chapel.
She is survived by her husband, Pete of Gaylord; children, Lynette and Micheal Joines of Arlington, Texas, Leslie and Dennis Eisenbraun of Gaylord and Rody of Milford, Iowa; seven grandchildren; sisters, Viora Jamieson of St. Petersburg, Fla., Elaine and Wally Everts of Hemet, Calif.; brother-in-law and wife, Harvey and Evelyn Pederson of Dell Rapids, S.D.; and nieces and nephews.
She was born Dec. 14, 1923, in Britton, S.D. to Albert and Cresence Kenner.
She married Elwood "Pete" Pederson on Nov. 17, 1950, in Rapid City, S.D.
They lived in Sidney, Neb., and Wadena before moving to Gaylord.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Edwin Byro, 75, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at the Madelia Community Hospital.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia, with burial with full military honors in Riverside Cemetery, Madelia.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorials are preferred to the Society for PSP or the American Lung Association of Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Connie of Madelia; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Jim Hruby of Madelia; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; brothers Irwin and Bonnie of Madelia and Robert of Rochester; sister-in-law Della Byro of Madelia.
He was preceded in death by a brother, LeRoy; sister-in-law, Carol and brother-in-law Chester.
He was born May 8, 1925 to John and Bertha (Ives) Byro in Linden Township, rural Brown County.
He grew up in Linden Township.
He served in the Seabees during WWII.
He married Helen Quam on Sept. 10, 1950, at the Lake Hanska Lutheran Church.
They farmed in Linden and Riverdale Townships until 1965 when he started his own construction company.
They moved from the farm into Madelia in 1986 and retired in 1990.
He was a member of the Lake Hanska Lutheran Church where he served on the church council and held several offices.
He was also a member of the Madelia American Legion Post 19.

Leon Theissen, 87, of Hillcrest Health Center, Mankato, formerly of St. Peter, died Thursday, Dec. 28, at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital, Mankato.
Services will be private.
Visitation is 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday, January 4, at Landkamer Johnson Boman Funeral Home, Mankato.
He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Darell and Jean of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and John and Kathy of Maple Plain; daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Tom Neese of Rockport, Texas; sister, Elinor Schmidt, of Hillcrest Health Care Center; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother and two sisters.
He was born Nov. 4, 1913, in Mankato to John and Bertha (Materne) Theissen.
He married Evelyn Haugen in Estherville, Iowa on Nov. 7, 1934.
He worked at Mahowald's Hardware and in sales at Miller Motors for over 40 years. He taught firearms safety.

Edna Keske, 83, of rural Gibbon, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at the New Ulm Medical Center, New Ulm.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon, with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, Gibbon, and one hour prior to services at the church.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Betty Keske of Brownton, Steve and Barb Keske of rural Brownton, and Gary Keske of rural Gibbon and his fiancee, Arlene Schwartz of Gaylord; five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Orpha Kiecker of LeSueur, and Vernita and Herman Echmann of Van Alstyne, Texas; and brother, Elmer Bleick of New Ulm.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Keske on Oct. 16, 1993; daughter, Dianah Keske, in infancy; brother-in-law, Gilbert Kiecker; and sister-in-law, Sophie Bleick.
She was born Nov. 2, 1917, in West Newton Township, Nicollet County to Robert and Clara (Wendt) Bleick.
She married William "Red" Keske on Oct. 10, 1938, at the Ridgely Lutheran Church, Ridgely Township, Nicollet County.
They farmed in West Newton Township, Nicollet County until 1973; in later years they continued to live on the farm.
Edna worked for many years at the Pietrus Poultry Processing Plant in Sleepy Eye.
She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon, the Senior Citizens, and a past member of the Ridgely Lutheran Church.

Gordon C. Hudson, 77, of Burnsville, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at the Fairview - Southdale Hospital, Edina.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Ulm, with burial in the Catholic Cemetery, New Ulm.
There will be no public visitation.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, New Ulm, is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Alice (Reitter) Hudson, of Burnsville; sisters-in-law, Florence Brakke of New Ulm, Ann Armentrout of New Market, Va., and LaVon Reitter of New Ulm; and nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Verne Hudson; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
He was born Oct. 12, 1923, in Chicago, Ill., to Christian and Virginia (Hardin) Hudson.
For 3 1/2 years he served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII.
He married Alice Reitter on July 15, 1952 at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Highland Park.
They lived for in Burnsville for 34 years.
He was a sales manager for Western Airlines (now known as DELTA) for 30 years.
He was a member of Mary Mother of the Church, Burnsville.
The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers.

Reba (Mrs. Bill) Koppen, 82, of Gibbon, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at the Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Augustana Lutheran Church, Gibbon, with burial at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis on Wednesday.
Visitation is two hours prior to services at the church.
Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, Gibbon, is in charge of the arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Koppen, of Gibbon; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Steve Wilson of West Lafayette, Ind., Kristi Koppen and husband Peter Terch of Coon Rapids; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.
She was born February 14, 1918, in Many, La., to Eugene and Mary (Knippers) Horn.
She married William Koppen on August 21, 1946, at the Trinity Lutheran Church Parsonage, Winthrop.
They lived all their lives in Gibbon, where she was a homemaker.
She was a 4-H leader in Sibley County for many years.
She was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church, Gibbon, and a past member of the Legion Auxiliary.
